ITunes mini player on top of a full screen Safari page

When you make a full screen Safari page, is there any way to put the iTunes mini player go on top of this page? I did this once by accident, but now whenever I try to open iTunes while in full screen Safari, the iTunes mini player opens to the main desktop page.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm listening to an audio podcast that's reffering to images on his sight. When you go full screen it shows the images best, but you lose the ability (space bar) to pause/play the podcast audio. It would be nice to be able to view and study the images a bit longer, but not having to keep futsing around with everything.
Is there a way to get the Mini player in the same Space as Safari?

  • Keep mini player on top

is there any way to create a shortcut for keeping the mini player on top. i would really like to be able to just a shortcut for this option instead of having it be buried in the preferences. they could just throw it in the window menu that would be good enough so that we could create our own shortcut.

It may be off the screen somewhere..
Try changing the screen resolution to see if it gets pushed back onscreen.

  • ITunes mini player and Spaces

I am a big fan of using Spaces to clean up my workflow, but I have one minor quibble/question. I would like to display the iTunes mini player (the one you get by pressing the green button in iTunes twice) in ALL of my spaces. That way I can pause, fastforward, etc no matter what Space I'm working in.I don't really want to assign iTunes to ALL spaces to accomplish this. Any thoughts?

There are a number of utilities that will put Icons for Rew|Play/Pause|Fwd on the menu bar, or you can use the keyboard on most modern Macs with designated assignments for these functions on F7, 8 and 9.
Not exactly what you want, but like you, it's what I have to make do with.

  • Itunes mini player in keynote

After searching through the forums I haven't really stumbled upon an answer to this...
Is there a way to see the itunes mini player in your keynote presentation screen? I have my macbook set up to a projector and I need to play music throughout the presentation. I would love to be able to control itunes without having to leave the presenter screen so there's no interruption in my presentation. You can customize a lot of options for your presenter screen but the itunes mini player is not one of them. Is there a workaround that anyone has found?
Thanks so much for the help.

If you search the Keynote forums for "Dashboard" and "Widget", you will find a technique for having widgets float above Keynote presentations (and there are plenty of iTunes controller widgets). I have not tested this in Snow Leopard, however.

  • How do I stop the menu from showing up when I hover to the top of a full screen app?

I am running Parallels in full-screen on Lion and when I move the cursor towards the top of the full screen app the menu pops up. How do I stop the menu from popping up? I keep hitting an icon on the menu bar that pulls it out of full screen mode and it's getting very annoying. Thanks.

Use VMware Fusion? But seriously, Fusion does what you want. It just puts a mini VM control menu at the top when running full screen (and that's configurable, too), so the main menu bar doesn't appear at all. Which means that it's up to Parallels to handle this. Are you running Parallels 7, which is designed for Lion? If you are and Parallels still doesn't offer something similar, you need to contact Parallels.

  • Mini Player always opens in center of screen

When I used iTunes on a Mac, I could move the Mini Player to another part of the screen, and iTunes would remember. With iTunes for Windows, the Mini Player always opens in the center of my screen.

When I tell my Doc, "It hurts to go like this," he says, "Then don't go like this." So my cure for the Mini Player Blues is not to use it. No one seems willing or able to assist me, so I will solve the issue.

  • How to Remove maximize/minimize/close top-bar in full-screen view [MAC]?

    Hi.
My Q. is pretty much as the title implies.
It's a small thing, and maybe kind of trivial,
but I'd like to know how to get rid of the maximize/minimize/close top-bar in full-screen view in Adobe Reader on the Mac.
I am definitely in fullscreen view [I hit command+L], just so you know,
but I still have that top grey bar showing with the maximize/minimize/close buttons [the red, yellow, and green].
As I said, kind of a trivial concern, but I'd like to know how to hide that in full-screen mode.
I tried searching around a few places for an answer, but there is nothing too obvious.
I can't find anything in the full-screen preferences of reader either. Maybe I'm missing something...
    Thanks!

Version 11.0 , so I guess that is the most recent?
I think this is an application-specific problem too, because I don't encounter this in full-screen mode with other applications.

  • Full screen Safari slides open whenever I close another application

    Hey all,
Probably a simple fix, but I always have Safari in full screen mode (mac laptop), and when I am working on the desktop and close a finder window or another application, my display automatically slides over to the full screen Safari window I have open. Any help on how to prevent this?
    Cheers.

    1. Empty Caches
        Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
    2. Delete Cookies
Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
        Click the “Details” button.
Remove all cookies except from Apple, your internet service provider and banks.
    3. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn off Extensions if any and launch Safari again to test.
Turn on those one by one and test.

  • ITunes Mini Player Does not show artwork

I have 100% of my music tagged with album art.
Album art shows 100% of the time in every other possible place in iTunes - including mini player next up.
When I look at mini player history, album art is missing 99% of the time.
    Anybody have the fix?

I also find what Apple has done to be a huge step backwards.
Apple seems to be in the dark regarding the user experience - seemingly favoring form over function. I almost feel they are trying to just make things look pretty to please users in store but leaving real users left out to dry in regards to features and smart interface design.
The mini player is my primary interface for using iTunes - now this "upgrade" omits the playhead, time elapsed and remaining, volume controls (at a glance), full playback details, etc. How is this at all an improvement?
I suppose if making the interface "clean" - yeah - it's a home run. So pretty. So useless. Great job!
I said the same regarding Quicktime. I still use Quicktime 7 Pro (!!!!) over Quicktime for OSX because it has full controls, easy edit features (compared to the simplistic garbage of the new player) and most importantly - does not have movie controls overlaying my movie!!!
I know that's a tangent - but let's have a return to controls that sit below the movie as opposed to over it.
Apple, I truly love your products and own a significant amount of your gear - but you really need to sort out the user experience.
    Cheers!

  • How can I play a movie in iTunes mini player?  (Progress bar button broken?)

It took forever to figure out how to get iTunes to even OPEN a new window for movie playback, but once I finally found instructions (click the button with movie art to the left of the progress bar to open in new window) they only partially worked.  A new window opens, but movie playback continues in the main window.  The new window shows a freeze frame of the scene displayed at the moment I clicked the progress bar button.  The new window looks just like the mini player, and its control buttons work, but they effect the main window's movie playback not the new window/mini player where I want to watch the movie.
Is it my progress bar that's broken?  I'm all updated with iTunes version 11.1.5.  Does this version not play well with my OS X 10.6.8?
Ultimately I just want to be able to play a movie in the mini player while using other applications; surely that's possible.
[Also, on the "Operating System" dropdown menu below, I just selected OS X 10.6.8 and then the dropdown showed "No operating system selected" and the selection arrows no longer work.  Any ideas what happened?  My MacBook Old feels so janky right now.]

You need to convert the AVI file to MP4.  Here is just one of the many converters available (via Google) http://www.divx.com/en/software/divx-plus/oca/mp4-converter?gclid=CJnqnpaF37gCFc fJtAod8RUAeg

  • ITunes Mini Player keeps moving

I keep my Mini Player in the bottom left of the screen and now when I open it then close it, the Mini Player jumps up an inch. I know this question has been asked before but the answer was always about how near it is to the edge but moving it away doesn't work. Any ideas on how to make it stay?
    Thanks

    Same exact problem here.
Minimize iTunes into the mini player and move it into a corner so it is visible while other windows are open.
Maximize iTunes for whatever reason, and re-minimize it, the mini player will movie itself up half inch or so, making it perfectly hidden behind an open window.
If I remember properly...this same exact thing has happened in previous other updates...was fixed promptly...keep the trend going...
    Please fix

  • ITunes Mini Player

Yesterday I made my own account on Windows (W7) so I had to download iTunes. The other account I was using before I made one of my own has a revamped mini player on iTunes which is version 11.3.1.2. When I started using my own Windows account and transferred all of my music from the old iTunes to the other, it worked out fine. But now when I click on the mini player it gives me a totally different one from the other iTunes. Both iTunes are the same software 11.3.1.2 and everything is the same but the mini player. The one that I like is the kind of big one that shows the album cover and its about the size of a cube. The one that I have now is very tiny and has a rectangular shape. I don't like that one too much because its tiny and doesn't show the visualizer like the other mini player does. Can someone help me out? How do i get the small but not so small cube shaped one back? I'd really appreciate it. thanks in advance!

A few questions to start off. What version of iTunes are you on? And if you try pressing ctrlcommandZ, what happens? That's the keyboard shortcut for that.

  • ITunes Mini Player Not Available?`

Hey, I have an iBook G4 with the latest OS X version of Tiger and of iTunes. However, for some reason, I do not have an option in the Advanced preference to turn my iTunes window into the mini player. Oddly enough, I do have the option to keep the mini player floating above other windows. Is there some new feature in 6.0.1 that eliminates the mini player? Is my iTunes flawed?

    I've got another tip.
To make the mini-player zoom to real 'mini':
Click (and hold) on the bottom right corner of the mini-player and move the mouse to the left.
At a certain point the window will collaps to show only the control buttons.
To expand the mini-player to show the song info again, click on the bottom right corner, hold, and drag to the right.

  • ITunes Mini-player in Taskbar on Vista x64?

    Howdy,
I have had Vista Ultimate Retail from the day it come out, but I have only just installed it instead of XP. In XP you could Right Click the taskbar and select Toolbars > iTunes and when you minimised iTunes it would show a mini player in the Windows taskbar giving easy access to the play/rewind/pause etc buttons... just like Media Player.
Well I cannot do it in Vista x64? Any reason why I cannot do this? Or has it just not been introduced into Vista yet? I'm sure I have read people on here being able to get it work? But How?
    Any help will be appreciated!

    keogh,
I can understand your frustration, however the Microsoft Windows 64-bit is currently not supported by iTunes. Some features may not work correctly. This article has more information:

  • ITunes mini player in start tray?

I recently had my computer reformatted and now I have my iTunes set up again as I did before. The only problem is this:
    Before-
When I clicked on the minimize (_) button to minimize my iTunes it would put the mini player version of it in my start tray (I think that is what it's called, sorry I often forget computer terms). This way I could be working on something but I could always pause, ski and play songs through the start toolbar without having to open the entire iTunes window.
    Now-
I can't get this to work at all. Whenever I minimize my iTunes, it just minimizes it as a regular window. Just like when I minimize my internet window.
    How do I change this?

That only allows me to have a mini player floating around on my desktop, but it still won't put it in my start tray/toolbar...
    hmmmmm...
