Ive had my iphone 4s since 10th april and on three seperate occassions its switched itself off completely (whilst having battery) it then wont work for around 2 days, this is very annoying and I dont know what to do as its been out for around 12hours now
I don't know why my phone keeps switching itself off, I've never dropped it, had water damage nor any other damage to it. Ive had it for around 5 months or so now and it just likes to switch itself off for around 30-40 hours then work again as though nothing happened. Although this is great as it will eventually work its very frustrating not knowing if it will switch on again.. at the minute my phone hasnt worked for about 10-12 hours. I went in to the apple shop and they said they couldnt see me for over a week as they were fully booked, I understand that theyre busy but surely they can't expect me to go without a phone/alarm/email for that time when I am paying for it. Does anyone have any help/advice they can offer? Thanks
Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

yes i am sure. This are the exact words... "The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. The disk you are attempting to use is full. (Removing files and emptying the recycle bin will free up additional space". i tried some options, hard reset, redsnow, tinyumbrella but still it's stuck.

GrahamThat sounds like it's requestion the Find My Mac passcode. If you don't know it, you'll have to take it to a nearby Apple store with proof of purchase/ownership as only they can unlock it for you.

My 4S keeps on switching itself off for no apparent reason. I've had to restore 3 times already. Does anybody have an idea ? Thanks
I should mention it is ios 6.1.3. The phone has now also started, after rebooting, showing the signal bars next to the wifi signal icon at the top but no "Sprint" type next to the bars as usual. And then after a few minutes it shuts down, shows the black screen with the white apple in the middle for a few moments, comes back up with the Waiting for Activation message, the signal bars pop up and the whole cycle just repeats itself.

I really need your help. I'm 14.
I really need to put new music on my iPod and I have plugged it into my computer and its taking ages to back-up and it wont let me do anything until its done. It will take over 3 hours if it keeps on going like this. Please help me. I don't know what's wrong with it.

There is an ad at the bottom of my home page that is very annoying. I have tried everything to delete it but it won't go away. I can only assume that it is one of your sponsors. The ad keeps saying I am a winner and just answer a question. I am very upset that I am imposed on in this way every time I sign in. Please eliminate this from your home page as I am getting to the point of deleting firefos.
The easiest way is to use the Status-4-Evar add-on. With it you can choose to not display any of the status messages, or display them in the add-ons bar or location bar instead.

Which particular .msi file is the message going on to say cannot be found? (Several different .msi files might be mentioned in this context: itunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.)

my starts siri by it self and when i desable siri so voice control starts talking even i didn't touch my fone its operating by its self in the middle of talking on fone or not using it. sometimes the home key is not working at all. it stuck and i have to rebot or restart it again. i don't know its technical problem or software problem. i bought this iphone 5 on applestore.com in january 2013. this problem was started in may 2013 but was not so often and from september upto now its irrateting me so badly. sometimes it doesn't work at all and sometimes it didnt recognize my apple ID to sign in app store or itunes.

Since I installed ICloud, I have had problems sending email and it insists on pulling from over 3000 old emails. I get 50 at a time in each of 4 accounts. As soon as I delete them (manually), I get 50 more. I am now back to September. These emails were long deleted off my PC so I don't even know where they came from. How can I get rid of all these and have my I phone only give me recent, undeleted emails?
Failing that, how can I remove Icloud without losing my address book, etc.There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
Delete ALL your email accounts.
Restart Playbook
Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON. Manual (push off) will burn battery.
Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required.
Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi.
Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery. -
If other software products can keep their opened windows after the system is rebooted, why not the finder? This did work for many, many years now and I can only hope that this issue somehow has been overseen by Apple (although it's a very obvious flaw) and will be repaired with the next Update for Lion (which otherwise is working very, very well for me).
I am using XP, Firefox 17.0.1 and the latest version of flash. Have
automatic updates and installs. Everything was working a few months ago and
then just started clearing everything out all by itself. No settings were
changed. There are some sites now such as my bank that do not even put
anything in the panel, like before. Other sites I used do not even request
to be allowed or denied. I can still use the sites that request space, but
as soon as I leave the page, everything is wiped out. I need to find
something else that actually works all of the time, unlike Adobe. -

Hey, I need help figuring out why does my Zen MicroPhoto goes into recovery mode now by itself. I had difficulties with the same issue with a Zen Micro. My Zen MicroPhoto had issues in the past where it would spontaniously restart and rebuild the library. I would one second listen to music on the bus and sit down slowly, then the music cuts and the zen microphoto resets itself. Can I get some help here?! I really dont want to resort to sending it out for repairs unless its a last resort.

Press and hold the Home and Power buttons on your iPhone until it shuts off.
Connect it connect it to your computer with th USB cable.
Press and hold down the Home button.
Hold it it down until iTunes says your device is entering recovery mode.
Now you should be able to Restore using iTunes.
