  • SUN: API documentation download (please)

Is somewhere available the JSC APIs for download?
I need it offlien because I cant login for locked content from my computer (IE 6.0.2800 in spanish).
Could be a locked material but for download? I can download from my home desktop PC (IE 5.x) then transfer to my laptop (the one I use all day).
    Regards.

There is a way to see the API javadoc without the key. (but its a bit wierd)
    1. Go to a managed page bean or a managed session bean etc.
    2. Inside any method, type getBean( (no more, no less)
    3. Press Ctrl-Space. A window with the definition of getBean in com.sun.jsfcl.app.FacesBean will open.
    4. In the top of border of the popup, there are two buttons (a blue and a brown one)
    5. Click the blue one (if you hover your mouse over it, it shows "Open Javadoc in browser")
    6. A browser tab opens. Go to the top, and click Frames.
That's it. The javadoc is open. You can browse it as normal.
Alternatively, you can just unzip the docs, they are in the file: C:\Sun\Creator\docs\jsfcl-doc.zip
    (Sorry I couldnt resist that)

  • Any site J2EE API's to download

    hello all
actually I really lost digging up the sites for the J2EE API's for which i ve been looking for quite a time .....
I actually want to learn EJB, JSP etc. in depth for which i require the offline documentation support...
If any one of you has any knowledge of any such sites/mirror, kindly pass on the same....

Let me explain the situation. In our current setup we use TOAD to create/change our custom objects (Package, Procedure and Function). When a change is ready to be migrated to production we copy the source code from development and paste it into production Toad editor and execute the object to save in database.
We want to get away from that and deploy the changes using command line (this idea is to use subversion to capture chanes and deploy through a script).
Now to implement this solution, broke it down to two components
    1) Extract all custom objects' metadata and store in folders. For this I used DBMS_METADATA.getDDL() API and passed the parameter like 'PACKAGE', 'PROCEDURE' etc. I wrote a java program and ran that program from windows command line and I'm able to see all the objects retrived, saved into corresponding file names and into their respective folders.
2)Deploy. As as developer, I would get the source code for an object from one of the folders in my windows environment and then make the necessary modifications. Lets say for eg. test1.prc is a procedure that I extracted from database and I modified the code. Now I'm ready to deploy this code change in production.
Two ways of deploying in production 1) Use Toad to execute the changes and 2) Use SQLPlus to compile the changes.
I'm looking at a 3rd alternative wherein if there is any API's similar to GetDDL() (I wish they had SetDDL), I would write a JAVA wrapper to send the changes back to database.
If we do not have one, the only way I can think of is to call sqlplus through program and then compile the object. (This would be my alternative solution).
    Hope I explained it clearly.
    Thanks

  • Unable to download the Java 6 JDK API documentation

    Hi,
now that all the stuff is on Oracle, I'm unable to download the Java 6 API documentation for offline use. NetBeans (an Oracle product after all) requires a local copy to show JavaDoc with code completion.
Is anyone able to point me to the correct download location? I've browsed the new JDK download page many times and haven't found it.
    Thank you.

    What about [here?|http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javaee/documentation/apis-139520.html]
It wasn't that hard to find.
Oops, the requirement wasn't for java ee.

  • What happen to J2EE SDK Documentation

What happen to J2EE SDK Documentation
With the old J2EE v1.3.1 release it had a nice overview
web page at <install_dir>/doc/index.html which had links
to different documents in the download bundle.
But now after installing J2EE v1.4 release (AppServer) it
    doesn't have a <install_dir>/doc/index.html web page.
Where do I find the nice links in v1.4 that v1.3.1 has?
The link at <install_dir>/doc/api/index.html only has
the class descriptions. What about the other documentation,
like on the tools and etc. - where is it now?

But where is this in Sun's AppServer installation?
When I go to <AppServert-install-directory>/docs the only files in that directory
    (other than other directories) is:
    about.html
    and
    QuickStart.html
If I go into the api directory, the index.html file has all the class documentation
and nothing about the tools and etc. - so where is the index.html file (that you
pointed to in your about post) in the AppServer documentation? Did Sun forget
to include it in the download?

  • Where to find the API documentation for MS SQL Server 2000 JDBC

I Downloaded and installed the MS SQL Server 2000 JDBC package, but I found that it does not provide enough help docs such as API documentation, demo and etc.
It would be most grateful if you would provide some information about this driver.

Thank your for your kind attention.
For example, I want to get a ConnectionPoolDataSource object to get a PooledConnection object, but I don't know which class implements the interface.
    import java.sql.*;
    import javax.sql.*;
    import <classes related to connection pooling>;
    ConnectionPoolDataSource cpds = new <MS impl>;
    <lines for setURL()/setUser()/setPassword, etc>

  • Apex 4 JavaScript API documentation bug

    Hi,
JavaScript API documentation have exactly same description for functions
    $f_Hide_On_Value_Item
    $f_Show_On_Value_Item
    >
Checks an page item's (pThis) value against a value (pValue). If it matches, a DOM node (pThat) is set to hidden. If it does not match, then the DOM node (pThat) is set to visible.
    >
And also functions have same description
    $f_Hide_On_Value_Item_Row
    $f_Show_On_Value_Item_Row
    >
Checks the value (pValue) of an item (pThis). If it matches, this function hides the table row that holds (pThat). If it does not match, then the table row is shown.
    >
I think that is not correct

Somehow I recall there has been post about this, but I can not find it.

The description of these functions have been corrected. The latest updated version of this document is now available on the Oracle Technical Network (OTN).

  • JMF 2.1.1e API Documentation is Removed from Sun

    Hi All,
In the last few days i'm not able to browse the JMF 2.1.1e API Documentations pages, its automatically redirecting to JMF 2.0 API documentation where there are no document for some important api's like RTPManager.
Have any one downloaded the API Documentation from sun.com previously, If so please send it to my mail id - [email protected]
Or is there any other link to JMF 2.1.1e API documentation pls reply.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Karthikeyan R

    Check your mail..
By the way. Did you report the broken links to Sun?
I was so irritated at finding all the details of classes missing, that I did not think to report it.
The missing JavaDocs may be a simple oversight.
    Edited by: AndrewThompson64 on May 18, 2008 1:03 AM
OK.. found the motivation to report it. Here is the report I submitted.
This thread complains of missing JavaDocs for the JMF classes
    [http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10256685]
Somebody replied that they are here..
But this is only the 'top level' documents, and every link from those pages that I have tried so far, is a '404'.
For example, 1st links in the left hand frames..
Top frame. The link to the javax.media package
    [http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/apidocs/javax/media/package-frame.html]
Bottom frame. The link to the ActiveReceiveStreamEvent class
    [http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/apidocs/javax/media/rtp/event/ActiveReceiveStreamEvent.html]
Also tried Processor, RTPManager and a few others. All '404'.
What gives? Is this an oversight, or another step in Sun's gradual abandonment of JMF?
(And if it is the latter, isn't it better to put the poor programmers out of their misery by making a public announcement re the status and future of JFM, and removing the top level of those JavaDocs?)
