Java Docs info for IDataConnection

<p>Hi,</p><p> I need to create universe connection from java.</p><p>IDataConnection object is used for this, but I can&#39;t find any java docs for it!</p><p>Maybe someone knows?</p><p>Thanks!</p><p>Alex</p>

 Hi Alex
Do you want to create a universe or create a connection to an existing universe? We only have a COM SDK for creating Universes. You can find this SDK in the Developer Library under 'Universe Designer and Desktop Intelligence SDK:
[http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com | http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/]
My guess is that you only want to create a connection to an existing Universe using the WebI SDK. Is this right? Where are you getting your reference to the IDataConnection object. I couldn't find any references to it.Â
It might be easier if you explain the work flow that you are trying to accomplish.
thanks,
Rob Horne

    Hi
I am looking for the java doc api for portal.. for e.g, i want to know the available classes under com.sun.portal.providers.util and method details under that..

There should be a file called javadocs.jar in your portal installation directory. Either under SUNWps/sdk or SUNWps/export.

  • Newbie to Java Doc

    Hello All,
I am pretty new to JavaDoc - i got a general hang of it and did some sample java doc generations for some java files to understand more better. Now I have been requested to create custom javadoc tags for an existing project. How do I go about this? It would be appreciated if anyone could help me out with pointers .
    Thanks

Depending on how complex the produced output of your custom tags should be you can either use Javadoc's -tag option or write a custom Taglet.
See [http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/tooldocs/windows/javadoc.html#tag] and [http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/javadoc/taglet/overview.html] for related documentation.

  • Where are the latest java docs for the 9i JDBC drivers

Hi, I'm trying to locate the java docs for the latest 9i JDBC drivers. I have searched all over the otn and oracle sites and still haven't found them. Does anyone know where they can be found.
    Thanks,

I believe they're right on the download page where you download the drivers.

  • Web Dynpro Java : Failed to get deployable object part info for component

Currently we have a web dynpro java project which connects to the ABAP backend with Web Services. Everything seems fine, and when we transport to the production server via NWDI, we have the following error. Everytime we try to access the application , the error is occurred.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Failed to get deployable object part info for component com.sie.attachmentcomp.AttachmentComp
        at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.cal.ClientComponent.getComponentDeploymentDescription(ClientComponent.java:784)
        at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.cal.ClientComponent.createComponent(ClientComponent.java:934)
        at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.cal.ClientComponent.createComponent(ClientComponent.java:177)
        at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.components.ComponentUsage.createComponentInternal(ComponentUsage.java:149)
        at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.components.ComponentUsage.createComponent(ComponentUsage.java:116)
It is working properly in our development , and testing environment. Only production has this error. And one weird thing is that this particular error occurred only sometimes to some user. For example; I could not access to the application with this error yesterday but my friend can access. Today, I can access in the morning but my friend cannot. For another friend , Yesterday he can access by using IE but not by Firefox. But today Firefox is fine but not with IE. It seems crazy.
For more information, in our J2EE engine for the production server, we have 3 server nodes (clusters). And we are not sure it is the source of the problem. Is there any solution , and any way to know from the application that we are on which server?
We also go and check from the Content Administrator in Web Dynpro Console. Under our project name, in the list of Components, sometimes we can see AttachmentComp but sometimes not.
Please help us as our project is about to go-live next week.
    Thanks,
    Yu

  • Java Docs for the Module Process Classes

    Hi,
I would like to start creating my own JDBC and file-based modules for interface development. I have found several  SDN contributions which step through the creation of these modules. These are very helpful.
However, I have not yet found comprehensive documentation describing the classes used in module develpment. i.e.:
    - com.sap.aii.af.mp.module.Module
    - com.sap.aii.af.mp.module.ModuleContext
    - com.sap.aii.af.mp.module.ModuleData
Does anyone know where to find the Java Docs for these classes? Or is there any other equivalent explanation of how to use these classes, their methods and fields?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Carl,
    Another link for you
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/87/3ef4403ae3db12e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
This says that the java documentation is available in the example adapter/module that is there with XI.
I vaguely remembering seeing the docu..it was long back though..right now i donot have access to a system...
Get the rar(java archive) that i talked about in the above link...
    Thanks,

  • Java Docs for Internet sales

I was looking for the ISA Java docs and tried to download the file ISAWAC40SP09P_9-10002109.SAR, but I cannot find it anywhere. SAP site has file ISAWAC40SP08_0-20000529.SAR but the javadocs are missing. Could anyone please let me know the location from where I can download the file ISAWAC40SP09P_10-10002109.SAR or alternatively Java docs for Internet sales

    Hi Pankaj,
you can try with the first patch of the SP 9 - for example try the file ISAWAC40SP09_0-10002109.SAR. Extract the file using the sapcar program and search for docs.sar file where the documents are.
I hope this will help you.

    Hi Enzo,
Simple. Open your NWDS IDE and go to Help --> SAP Web AS documentation --> SAP Web AS Technologies and give the search query as "webdynpro api". You will get the javadoc installed in your system.

  • JAVA Doc for SAP

    Hi Experts,
Can Anybody please help me out finding the SAP JAVA Doc?
    Thanks
    Sugata

    Hi Sugata,
    > Can you please tell me if this same can be downloaded and later I can use offline as we have options to download the JAVA API?
Don,t know about downloading, we'll have to check.
    > another help required - which one I should go with SAP NWDS or Netbeans for my JAVA Developments?
SAP recommands NWDS for all java related developements. Even Netbeans is also comfortable and userfriendly to work on, problem only comes when you need to deploy something on SAP WAS. Netbeans doesn't support that.
