I am running 9i on NT on clicking through the ultrasearch admin
screens I intermittently get the following error

Any ideas?

Does the exception occur out of the blue while you are actively
performing admin operations? Or does it happen, like, say, after
a certain period of inactivity?

Post install failing with Java Exception creating the Oracle Context

I have not been able to complete the post-install portion of the OID which is run by the Oracle 9iAS Infrastructure installer.
Is there a way to create the Oracle Context and whatever else is part of the /ldap/postcfg/postcfg script without the use of the Java assistants? I am getting a Java exception when creating the Oracle Context.

i already figured that out and deployed it using 10.1.3.1 jars
my question
1) if it is a bug , how come it works fine with jdeveloper (
i would appreciate if you could provide any info about it.
2) i dont want to sound sarcastic , but 10.1.3.1 has of optimistic locking and the recommended solution i found was to use descriptor.getQueryManager().setUpdateCallCacheSize(0);
looks like 10.1.3.1 fixed one bug and introduced other one which was working fine earlier...
is there any other way of fixing optimistic locking issue other than using the
descriptor.getQueryManager().setUpdateCallCacheSize(0);
where i can find the latest/greatest (up to date patched version of toplink)

Java mapping of application triggered an exception

Hi,
We have ascenario where a vendor will be sending us a cXML file which has the second line as <!DOCTYPE cXML SYSTEM "http://xml.cxml.org/schemas/cXML/1.2.009/InvoiceDetail.dtd">. If I open it in XMLSpy, it is saying the file as invalid. XI is unable to map this file. So we decided to remove that line using Java mapping and then do the regular graphical mapping.
I took the java code from the SAP note 812966 and used the aii_map_api.jar, dom.jar, jaxp-api.jar to create the class of that java file and used that class file by importing that into XI as a jar file.
I'm getting this error in the request message mapping of SXMB_MONI

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes I have downloaded the aii_map_api.jar from <SAP_install_dir>/<system_name>/<instance_name>/j2ee/cluster/server<number>/apps/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/
And also I have compiled my java code using the dom.jar, sax.jar, jaxp-api.jar and aii_map_api.jar.
I took the class file of my javacode and all the class files of the above mentioned jar files and prepared one single jar file, which I imported into XI.
It is not allowing me to make a single jar of the actual class file and all the supporting jar files.
What is the actual method of doing it.

Switching to Oracle in Portal4.0 Exception

I switched to Oracle and I get the following exception when I try to access wlcs
application. I have created the tables and sample data. Any ideas? If I switch
back to cloudscape the application works again.

You are right, I ran bin\win32\loadSampleData.bat, which calls bin\win32\syncApplication.bat.
This reloaded the data, which apparantly had been corrupted in my Oracle install.

VSM Login Exception: oracle.otnsamples.util.UtilityException

Hello,
I am trying to execute the sample VSM application using JDK 1.5. Using ANT to build the application on oc4j -oracle application server containers for J2EE 10g (9.0.4.0.0).
When I run the application, the login frame throws the following error message when i try to log in as webstore/welcome:
oracle.otnsamples.util.UtilityException: Exception thrown from getService method of ServiceLocator class: Lookup error: javax.naming.AuthenticationException: No such domain/application: vsm; nested exception is: javax.naming.AuthenticationException: No such domain/application: vsm
Any clues as to why it is throwing this exception. I can connect through SQL*Plus using the webstore/welcome login.

I was using an older version of tiles.jar. Hence the error. Started working after I moved to the latest version of struts.jar

I am inserting the same row in Table.

So how to Handle this Exception and throw the User Defined Message that , The Record is available in Table.

Is any other way to get Solution ?You can try to achieve the same by - Create a VO for the same and in the where pass the value for PK1,PK2,Pk3. Execute the VO, by passing the parameter and if it returns any row. Then it means that there already exists some row with the same value.

Both of these were downloaded from Oracle packages:

A call to Environment::createEnvironment(Environment::DEFAULT)
Throws and exception oracle::occi::SQLException with garbled text.
The programs works (unchanged) in 32 bit windows environments with different instant client versions.
Any help is appreciated.

Is this not supported on 10G?
At this point it is not feasible to upgrade the server to 11G.

I've just encountered my first MMM064. The text:
2F787D6BF242207EE0430A111258207E:DWH_LOC not valid in domain DB_LOCATION2.
The error seems to be related to a nested pluggable map that I've built.
I get the error when I try to add my (standalone) nested pluggable map to an existing map. When I do the same for a new map I do NOT see the error....
