    Hi all,
    I give you the clear details about the issue what i am currently facing,
    1. I installed the 11g (11.2.0) database alone(No EBS) in my local vmware machine.
    2. Created my ORACLE_HOME under /u01/oracle/prod/tech_st/product/11.2.0/db_1 directory after that i tried to change my home location from /u01/oracle/prod/tech_st/product/11.2.0/db_1 location to /u01/oracle/db/tech_st/product/11.2.0/db_1 location, like created /u01/oracle/db directory and moved files from /u01/oracle/prod location.
    3. I changed my bash_profile and exported home with the modified location also deregistered an old home and registered the new home.
    4. When i am issuing echo $ORACLE_HOME it is showing the current home location and ORACLE_SID is same what i created before.
    5. But when i am trying to create one more db using DBCA utility it is through the above error.
    Please suggest me is it possible to change the location after db creation or any extra steps i have to do for this issue.
    Thanks.

    Hi Manoj,
    It seems like that got us past that step. Unfortunately, I have a new problem. Whereas the previous collection run stated that I had a number of Universes to collect (>40) it now says 0 for every type of object except folders.

    Hello,
    I call in an applet a library "ezmodJava.dll" in order to execute a native method. It works very well in my computer (Windows 98). I've put "ezmodJava.dll" and a dependent library "ezmod.dll" in directory C:\Windows. That works very well.

    on your computer you might have multiple copies of the dll. try temporarily renaming the dll...then run the program. if it runs, you know you have another copy somewhere. do a search and find the extra copy...rename it and run your program. your program should fail then and you will find which directory your program is looking in for the dll.

    Update:
    My previous proposed solution (of installing the 64-bit JRE) resulted in a different problem. After multiple attempts and restarts I was unable to work in the Flash Builder IDE as it became unresponsive on load. Each time I had to use Task Manager to close the application.
    Apparent Solution:
    Close all applications running in Windows
    Uninstall all versions of JRE (Java Runtime Environment)
    Uninstall Flash Builder 4.7
    Reinstall Flash Builder 4.7

  • Can't load library?.... that doesn't exist

    Hi, I am trying to play a movie clip that I have on my computer, and when I goto run the program, it says: java.land.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Can't load library: C:\...\jpf-demo-src-0.8/libjvlc.so
    There is no library called libjvlc.so, I have done a search on my computer, and looked through the jvlc folder, and the only thing close is vlc-libvlc-jni.cc. All help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    I realized the problem, the files for windows files
    are not up for download on the main page, but I found
    them in the FAQ page and the files do not match....You noted the following error....
    .....Can't load library: C:\...\jpf-demo-src-0.8/libjvlc.so
    There is only one way for that to occur on a windows box - the java code is explicitly trying to load that library.
    That means
    1. You MUST find a different source for the java code or you MUST modify it. It doesn't matter what you do a linux library (so file) will not work on windows.
    2. You MUST have a version of that library that will work on windows. That means that either you must find one or you must create one.
    Until you have done the above it will not work on windows. There are no other options with what you have.

    Rebecca,
    I appreciate your quick response.
    I am running the test from Primeclient. I am planning to add more tiles once tile0 runs fine. Client0 runs separately.Forgot to mention this in last update.
    I assume prime client generates all wrf files. when other VM's .wrf files are generated fine, will it be still primeclient side error??
    Primeclient is windows 2008 sp2 64bit. Initially I installed 32 bit java and ended up problem while starting the  VMmark2-STAX.bat. When i installed the 64bit java, problem vanished. I assume java version is correct.
    Similary initially i installed a cygwin 64 bit but i got error like "Error VMmarkRMQmgr unable to clear  queues". So uninstalled it and installed a cygwin 32 bit and the problem vanished.
    I am seeing the standby VM is relocated fine during the test. it is just it is not capturing the data in .wrf file. Standby VM configure section does not talk about java installation. is there anything else i am missing it?
    I would like to know whether  below error talks about standby VM because standby VM is 32 bit other side primeclient is 64 bit. below error says on a IA 32-bit platform.
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\STAF\bin\JSTAF.dll: Can't load AMD 64-bit .dll on a IA 32-bit platform
    Below image u can see java variables are set. Is there anything wrong??

  • Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no ocijdbc8 in java.library.path

    hi,
    i am trying to connect to an oracle 8.1.7 database from my application running on tomcat 4.0.3 / jdk1.4 /windows nt.
    using the thin jdbc-driver (classes12.zip) everything works fine.
    when i try using the oci8-driver, i get an error-message saying:
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no ocijdbc8 in java.library.path
    i have the oracle-client installed on my machine.
    the ocijdbc8.dll can be found in D:\server\oracla81\bin
    the environment-variables PATH, CLASSPATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH (i'm not sure if this has any meaning on nt) all point to this directory.
    i start tomcat using the following option: -Djava.library.path="D:\server\oracla81\bin"
    my application can see this variable:
    System.out.println("java.library.path: "+System.getProperty("java.library.path"));
    prints out the correct value.
    then i try to load the library by myself:
    try {
    System.loadLibrary("ocijdbc8");
    System.out.println("Successfully Loaded");
    } catch(Exception e) {
    System.out.println("LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not properly set");
    e.printStackTrace();
    everything works fine! the library is loaded!
    finally i try to connect to the database and the application throws the mentioned exception:
    lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no ocijdbc8 in java.library.path

    any help would be appreciated.
    thanx in advance,
    frank.

    It is probably JDK 1.4 that causes the problem. I was able to get strange errors with that version of the JDK with code that worked fine using 1.31.

  • Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError when loading libaries

    Hi,
    I coded an ejb, in which I want to call funtionality coming from a dll via JNI.
    In order to achieve it I copied the libary 'XXX.dll' to the windows directory system32
    and call in my ejb : System.loadLibary("XXX").
    The following exception occured:
    javax.ejb.EJBException: nested exception is: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no XXX in java.library.path
    Can anybody help me by saying
    1) where to put the .dll and what path to set in calling System.loadLibary(...)
    3) or even where and how to set the java.libary.path variable (Instance Template via configtool?)
    Honour and points are garanteed.
    Jens

    Hi,
    Check This,
    File f = new File("C:");
    System.out.println(f + " \t" + f.exists());
    f = new File(f, "sampleDLL2");
    System.out.println(f + " \t" + f.exists());
    System.load( f.toString() );
    When the library can not be found, you get a java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError with the message "no library in java.library.path". To solve this, move the library in one of the directories specified by java.library.path or alter the property so that it points to the directory containing your library. You can print this property with the following code:
    1: System.out.println(System.getProperty("java.library.path"));
    Another possibility when things do not work is when the DLL can be found, but the methods can not. A DLL exports functions according to specific names an calling conventions. When your compiler is not configured the right way your methods may get anther name than they should be. To solve this, you should include the header file generated by javah and configure your compiler the right way.

  • Trouble loading JOGL (OpenGL) libraries, java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError

    Hello everyone.
    Ok, I went over to jogl.dev.java.net and downloaded jogl.jar and the native files. I extracted jogl.jar to Program Files/java/jre1.5.0_04/lib/ext and the natives to Program Files/java/jre1.5.0_04/bin. I then put the DLL's extracted from the natives into the C:\Windows\System32 (also added the bin directory to the PATH environmental variable, but it couldnt find the jogl.DLL for some reason).
    So i then I write this little piece of code to test if TextPad can find the library:
    public class Greeting {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              System.loadLibrary("jogl");
    And I get the following error:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\WINDOWS\system32\j
    ogl.dll: Can't find dependent libraries
    at java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load(Native Method)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary0(ClassLoader.java:1751)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(ClassLoader.java:1676)
    at java.lang.Runtime.loadLibrary0(Runtime.java:822)
    at java.lang.System.loadLibrary(System.java:992)
    at Greeting.main(Greeting.java:7)
    Press any key to continue . . .
    So it find's jogl.dll happily enough, but not the dependent libraries. I'm a noob to all this, so not really sure what a Dependent Library is or where I can find it, can anyone help?

    You already figured it out. Dependent libraries are loaded via LD_LIBRARY_PATH just like any other shared libraries on the system. The JVM doesn't control the loading of dependent libraries, so the JVM's library path doesn't apply.

    There are only a very very few and rare good reasons to use the oci8 driver with Java (and I can't remember any of them at the moment). Performance is not one of them. If at all possible, you should use the Type IV (thin) driver instead.
    The classes12.jar (or zip) is for use with Java 1.2 and 1.3. There are different versions of this jar for each version of the database, but they're fundamentally cross-compatible; all the post-8i drivers are supposed to work with all the post-8i databases (and the 8i stuff also mostly works too). There's been a succession of bug fixes and minor functional changes, as well as some very substantial perfromance improvements. If you are developing brand-new code, I very stongly encourage you to use the very latest driver (currently 10.2.0.1, I think). If you are using a Java version greater than 1.3, then you should use the ojdbc14.jar instead (and don't try to use both classes12.jar and ojdbc14.jar, they have the sameclasses in them). I think the 10.2.0.1 ojdb14.jar was the first one certified for Java 1.5, and it's significantly faster than the 9i drivers. Anyone considering an upgrade of drivers should plan to do a good regression test; as mentioned before, there are some very small functional differences. You can download the latest drivers here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/index.html
    If you insist on using oci, then you probably need to do an Oracle client installation on your Windows box. If you stay with the 9i driver, the full client install is huge; however, you can almost certainly use the 10g "Instant Client", which is a pared-down version, with just the minimal stuff to support an application. That's available here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/oci/instantclient/instantclient.html
