Terrence,
   Thank you for responding and confirming the issues I'm having with static addressing.  As far as the example above, I do have the standard LEDs working correctly, however, the example I'm referring to above is from the JavaME samples using the GPIO Port for the LEDS, according to the Device I/O Preconfigured List you referenced:
GPIO Ports
The following GPIO ports are preconfigured.
Devicel ID
Device Name
Mapped
Configuration
8
LEDS
PTB22
PTE26
PTB21
direction = 1 (Output only)
initValue = 0
GPIOPins:
controllerNumber = 1
pinNumber = 22
mode = 4 (Push-pull mode)
controllerNumber = 4
pinNumber = 26
mode = 4 (Push-pull mode)
controllerNumber = 1
pinNumber = 21
mode = 4 (Push-pull mode)
So is the assumption that using GPIOPort for accessing the GPIO port for Device ID 8 as listed in the Device I/O Preconfigured list not supported?

  • Where is the built in Java runtime and development environment in my MAC???

    I keep reading that my macintosh (dual G5 with OSX 10.4.10) came with a fully configured and ready-to-use Java runtime and development environment, however I cannot find, nor do I know how to open it. Doe anyone know how to open this up? thanks so much!

    Your JRE should already be configured so that when you double-click a self-executing jar or open a page with an Applet it will run.
    Your compiler (javac) should be available through your sheel in your terminal application.
    If none of this helps you (and it may well not) you may want to consider installing an IDE. Eclipse for example has a Mac OS version, I am sure there are others but I do not develop on Mac so I can't tell you about them.

  • Calling RFC with webdynpro java (in NetWeaver Developer studio)

    Calling RFC with webdynpro java (in NetWeaver Developer studio)
    Hi,
    I want to call only one parameter RFC with webdynpro.
    Flight example is very complex.
    I want to push a button and pass parameter to RFC input and call RFC.
    After execution some message must appaer on the screen.
    Is there a step by step .pdf?
    Thanks.

    Hello Cemil,
    There's a seperate Web Dynpro forum for such posts, you should take a look there.
    Nonetheless, the classic tutorial is the FlightList. If I was you, I would make sure to do this tutorial step-by-step as it should give you the fundamentals for understanding aRFC. On top of that, it's most likely already available to you on your SAP system...

  • What caused the "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError (no stack trace available)"?

    We just met another problem: after I modified the BDM file on TUXEDO and bdmconfig.xml
    file on WEBLOGIC (with no ACL or authentication setup on both side), when I booted
    up the WebLogic 6.1 server, the ULOG file of Tuxedo says that the connection has
    been set up, however, I got the "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError (no stack trace available)"
    on the WebLogic side. I tried to enlarge the Java heap size even to 1024m, but it
    has no use. If I delete the WTC setting then WebLogic works fine.
    Could somebody helps me on this? Because we have a very tight schedule on development,
    I do appreciate your quick response.
    Thanks!
    Bill

    Hi,
    I am getting same OutofMemoryError. I could not understand change in bdmconfig.xml
    removed the outofmemory error.
    what is bdmconfig.xml file and you specified port#?
    I could not able to see any port # in the config.xml...
    any help is appreciated.

    Bob,
    Another expert in our company told me that we should use a different
    PORT# (kind
    of DUMMY port) in the bdmconfig.xml file on WebLogic side, instead of
    the real WebLogic
    instance PORT#. We tried and the OutOfMemoryError disappeared, and the
    WTC connection
    works OK. We don't know why should we do this, maybe it is a bug or some
    hardware
    requirement.
    Anyway, thank you very much for your help and quick respondse!
    have a good day!

    Bill,
    Check the logs to see if the out of memory is the only execption orif
    it is the last exception. It could be that there is something happening
    earlier on that you are missing.
    There are also other JVM problems that can arise besides the heap
    size. The Hotspot VM had an issue where you needed to set a maximum
    permanent generation size( helps garbage collection tuning I think).
    (-XX:MaxPermSize=32m for jdk130,64m for jdk131). It comes into
    play when you are loading many classes.

    Bob,
    Thanks! We didn't set MTYPE in both BDMCONFIG files in Tuxedo and
    WebLogic
    sides.
    From the WTC document and Tuxedo document, it says that if MTYPE is
    not
    specified,
    the default is to turn ENCODING/DECODING on. Do you see any other
    possibilities?
    Thanks!

    Bob Finan <[email protected]> wrote:
    Bill,
    One possible reason is if MTYPE is set, in the DMCONFIG on the
    Tuxedo side, as part of your remote domain definitions of the WTC
    domain. This should not be set or set it to NULL. This problem occurs
    because encoding/decoding is always needed between java and non-java
    domains.

  • What development tools are available to a student to add functionality

    Hello,
    I am a student who wants to add some functionalities to the SAP Strategy Management software,
    to make it more collaborative. I subscribed to this very collaborative SAP website to find an answer on two questions:
    - is it possible for me as an external student to add functionality in SAP Strategy Management by programming in ABAP or JAVA?
    - if so, what (free) development tools are available
    I hope that there is someone who can help me with these two short questions. I would be very thankfull.

    Hi Anderson,
    1. Also have you check the option in Business Configuration--> Edit Project Scoping in production tenant to enable your solution?
    2. Also check if the user you are using have the authorization for the dependent object to access it?
    3. We have selected the first option to create the BAC element with Business Option and successfully was able to have the solution on the production tenant.
    Also check the below guide for same:

  • Java:comp/env namespace is only available from within a J2EE component

    Can someone help me to explain and resolve the Exception?
    The Exception is like below:
    javax.naming.NamingException: java:comp/env namespace is only available from within a J2EE component

    Hi temp,
    I can only guess here -- since you haven't provided much information,
    but if you are trying to lookup an EJB from some client class, then
    the client class must also be deployed to OC4J in order to use the
    "java:comp/env" namespace.
    I think if you did a search of this forum's archives for the text
    "java:comp/env", it would probably explain lots of things to you.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.5 and SOAP?

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to figure out what, if any, support does Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.5 have for parsing and dealing with SOAP messages. I couldn't find any documentation or info in the tutorial about it, but founds some packages through JavaDoc that seem to deal with SOAP. Does anyone know what the deal is? Do you use this toolkit for SOAP, maybe even WS-security?
    Thanks for any pointers!
    Olia

    You can use JWSDP 1.3 but the minimum requirement form that toolkit is JDK 1.4. So you need to download the JDK 1.4 from http:/java.sun.com and install it first and after that you can install that JWSDP 1.3. Good Luck.

  • Java Web Services Developer Pack v1.2

    I recently installed J2SE v1.4.2 Beta on my computer and it works fine with the platform, which is Windows XP Home Edition.
    Now, I like to learn Java Servlet Technology and had searched through the downloads pages. I found Java Web Services Developer Pack v1.2. But I have doubt about this: Is there any problem to run Java Web Services Developer Pack on Windows XP HOME Edition? I learnt that Sun engineers had it tested on Windows XP Professional Edition.
    I will appreciate any comments and opinions. Thanks in advance!

    doesn't mean it won't work on home edition. just means that they probably think anyone who might want to use J2WSDP will prob have Pro...
