Javafx :Media and image over https

hello
I want to use javafx to get media files(images, audio, video ) through HTTPS, the thing is when I use MP3 files it works ( after saying 'yes' to the certificate dialog) ,
For jpeg files, nothing is displayed.
For WMV files,I got the "Media unavailable: https://localhost/video.wmv" error even saying yes to the certificate dialog.
so does javafx support https ?
why did the audio work and not the video ?
why images didn't get displayed ?
PS: everything works fine through HTTP.
if you want me to post some essential code, let me know.
Thousand thanks

Either setup your client to trust the certificate chain installed on the server or change the server's certificate chain to chain up to a certificate already trusted by the client.
My guess is that you did not buy a certificate from a certificate authority. If this is the case I would recommend buying a certificate and installing the certificate on the server as per the server and certificate vendors installation instructions.
If you want to use a self signed certificate, then you will need to trust the vendor of the self signed certificate (yourself). To do this follow the first option of the stackoverflow answer below on every client.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2893819/telling-java-to-accept-self-signed-ssl-certificate
<JAVA_HOME>\bin\keytool -import -v -trustcacerts
-alias server-alias -file server.cer
-keystore cacerts.jks -keypass changeit
-storepass changeit

  • Windows Integrated Security with SSRS, Sharepoint 2013 and SSAS over http

    I have the following setup and problem:
    Sharepoint 2013 with SSRS in Sharepoint integrated mode
    SSAS 2012 SP1 with http access (IIS + msmdpump) enabled on the same box as SSAS
    Every component I have tried works fine with this (PerformancePoint, .bism connections, SSIS packages etc.), connecting over http using Kerberos and windows integrated authentication.
    SSRS (.rsds) connections in Sharepoint fail a connection test when using the same http connection string + Windows integrated authentication which works for everything else. The error is: "Unsupported data format: -> Microsoft.ReportingServices.DataExtensions.AdomdTestConnectionException:
    Unsupported data format:"
    SQL server profiler shows that the windows username is reaching the SSAS server is all cases.
    Kerberos delegation is set up for SSAS and is working.
    Switching the .rsds connection to saved credentials (same user as I tried with Windows integrated auth) works fine and SQL server profile logs look the same as the Windows integrated case.
    So, everything seems to work with Kerberos + http apart from SSRS ... any idea welcome. I did read that SSPI is not supported for http connections but then again, there are sites which give examples of exactly such connection strings. I can't find any
    mention of this case or exact problem anywhere ...

    For information, this was fixed by applying the .NET 4.5.1 patch as advised by MS support. Now http connections from integrated mode SSRS work ok.

  • FMS 3.5 and steraming over http

    Hi, I've install FMS 3.5 development with Apache server
    option, on my Windows XP . I want to stream a live video over http
    ( so I be able to open it from a web browser). I'm using FMLE to
    encode a live video and and I'm sending it to the default folder
    "rtmp://myFMSserver/live" with the default name "livestream".
    From the instructions, I've understand that to be able to
    view a live movie over http I've to change the LIVE_DIR
    in <FMS_Installation_Dir>/conf/fms file and tell it to
    point to <FMS_Installation_Dir>\webroot\live_recorded folder.
    I downloaded the beginner_live_fms3.zip example files and
    copy live.html live.swf and live.fla to \webroot\live_recorded
    folder and in parallel I started to stream my "livestream" movie
    from the FMSE. Here is my problem:
    when I using my browser from the FMS server itself and use
    the followings
    http://localhost/live_recorded/live.html
    I'm able to see the live stream, but when I'm using a remote
    computer with the followings
    http://myFMSipAaddress/live_recorded/live.html
    I just get a blank white screen.
    I'm doing it in my own network so there is problem of
    firewall block problem. Any help we be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Alon

    Hi,
    I have FMS 3.5 and WAMP running no problem.
    It might be a good idea to remove and reinstall FMS 3.5 and
    allow the Apache to be installed.
    It isnt a core version of Apache and it does not have any
    effect on my Webserver also running Apache, where FMS 3.5 is
    installed also.
    It seems to be a self contained package to run on the vob
    folder in the webroot directory of FMS 3.5 only
    I'm using it to test applications before deploying to the
    webserver.
    I think its main application is to display the sample pages
    which generates the code automatically to copy and paste the new
    Videoplayer for your own movies.
    I hope this helps.

  • Firefox does not load images over HTTPS

    When viewing secure sites (HTTPS) images are not displayed on FF 3.6.6
    For example: I can not see images on Gmail, Google Images or StumbleUpon
    I have checked the images settings and it automatically loads images from all sites, there are no domains blocked
    There is no add-on to block images
    Javascript is enabled
    I've tested almost all network configuration but the problem persists
    If I inspect the image with Firebug 1.5.4 the image is available as preview
    The same page is correctly displayed on IE8
    I've tested in safe-mode but the error remains
    Again... I suspect it has something to do on how FF 3.6.6 handles HTTPS
    Even if you do not have an answer, post if you experience the same problem.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Send email with html and images over Sockets

    Hi! I'm sending email messages through sockets with html. So far is working great. But now, I need to include images in the html code, like a web page. I don't have any idea on how to do this. Sending image apart from the html code is not big deal, but how to put it in the code. I mean how to make this html code, work:
    <table border="0">
         <tr>
              <td>Image in code</td>
         </tr>
         <tr>
              <img src="what to put here"/>
         </tr>
    </table>This is the code that I'm using to send the html mail:
    StringBuffer retBuff = new StringBuffer();
              //BufferedReader msg;
              //msg = new BufferedReader(msgFileReader);
              smtpPipe = new Socket(mailHost, SMTP_PORT);
              smtpPipe.setSoTimeout(120000);
              if (smtpPipe == null) {
                   return retBuff;
              inn = smtpPipe.getInputStream();
              outt = smtpPipe.getOutputStream();
              in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(inn));
              out = new PrintWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(outt), true);
              if (inn == null || outt == null) {
                   retBuff.append("Failed to open streams to socket.");
                   return retBuff;
              String initialID = in.readLine();
              retBuff.append(initialID);
              retBuff.append("HELO " + localhost.getHostName());
              out.println("HELO " + localhost.getHostName());
              String welcome = in.readLine();
              retBuff.append(welcome);
              retBuff.append("MAIL From:<" + from + ">");
              out.println("MAIL From:<" + from + ">");
              String senderOK = in.readLine();
              retBuff.append(senderOK);
              for (int i = 0; i < to.length; i++) {
                   retBuff.append("RCPT TO:<" + to[i] + ">");
                   out.println("RCPT TO:<" + to[i] + ">");
                   String recipientOK = in.readLine();
                   retBuff.append(recipientOK);
              retBuff.append("DATA");
              out.println("DATA");
              out.println("From: Steren <" + from + ">");
              out.println("Subject: " + subject);
              out.println("Mime-Version: 1.0;");
              out.println("Content-Type: text/html; charset=\"ISO-8859-1\";");
              //out.println("Content-Type: multipart/mixed; charset=\"ISO-8859-1\";");
              //out.println("Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit;");
              //String line;
              //while ((line = msg.readLine()) != null) {
              //     out.println(line);
              out.println(msg);
              retBuff.append(".");
              out.println(".");
              String acceptedOK = in.readLine();
              retBuff.append(acceptedOK);
              retBuff.append("QUIT");
              out.println("QUIT");
              return retBuff;

    Throw all this away and use one of the numerous existing Java mail packages, such as javax.mail for a start.

  • Image over http

    I was trying to send an image from a midlet through the internet as a byte stream. I am using tomcat server. I am using jsp page for receiving the byte stream and storing in a file. But seems, if i send the entire image (15 kbytes) it is not sent.
    this problem happens only when it is send through internet. But within LAN it is working.
    Any solution.

    hi
    how u have implement ur connection interface .
    Use thread for making connection that will send request for connection after some time(depend on ur sleep() time)
    because Internet is much slow as compare to ur LAN speed so i think requesting for connection single time works well for ur LAN but not on internet.
    i think u got ur answer

  • XML over HTTP between client and server

    We are trying to pass XML between a client and servlet over HTTP.
              We used the code from the StockClient/StockServlet examples as a
              starting point but cannot get it to work. Basically we
              have a simple command line java client that is trying to access
              a VERY simple servlet. When the client tries to write data into
              the output stream associated with the connection I get:
              "Connection rejected: 'Login timed out after: '15000' ms....."
              I have read several postings that instruct me to raise the
              timeout limit, but as you can see, I surely don't need 15 seconds
              to write this data out! Is there something special I need to do?
              Does this have anything to do with known issue #10065
              (http://www.weblogic.com/docs51/release_notes/rn_knownprob51.html)
              I have followed all of the instructions in the example code
              (http://www.weblogic.com/docs51/classdocs/xml.html)...
              Any assistance is appreciated...
              here is the client code:
              import java.io.*;
              import java.net.*;
              public class TestClient
              public static void main(String aa[])
              URL url = null;
              HttpURLConnection urlc = null;
              PrintWriter pw = null;
              file://Commented lines indicate other things I have tried
              try
              url = new URL("http://localhost:7001/ParserServlet");
              file://urlc = url.openConnection();
              urlc = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection();
              file://urlc.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "text/xml");
              urlc.setDoOutput(true);
              urlc.setDoInput(true);
              file://urlc.connect();
              pw = new PrintWriter(new OutputStreamWriter
              (urlc.getOutputStream()), true);
              pw.println("<?xml version='1.0'?><test>testing123</test>");
              pw.flush();
              file://urlc.disconnect();
              } catch(IOException ex) {
              System.out.println(ex.getMessage());
              Here is the servlet code:
              import javax.servlet.*;
              import javax.servlet.http.*;
              import java.io.*;
              import java.net.*;
              public class TestServlet extends HttpServlet
              public synchronized void init(ServletConfig config) throws
              ServletException
              super.init(config);
              System.out.println("Inside init()");
              public final void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse
              response)
              throws ServletException, IOException
              System.out.println("Inside doPost()");
              protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest req,
              HttpServletResponse resp)
              throws ServletException,
              java.io.IOException
              System.out.println("Inside doGet()");

              Jon,
              One thing is missed in your client code. When you use HTTP POST to send request,
              you have two ways to tell the Web server when to stop reading from your input and
              to start process your input: the first one is using "Content-Lenght" header property
              to specify how many bytes you want to send to your servlet, the seocnd is use "Transfer-Code:
              Chunked" and is much more complicated. I didn't see you pass "Content-Length" in
              your client code, in which case, the Web server (Weblogic) cannot know the end of
              your request data and could keep waiting for last byte to come out or waiting for
              the socket time out (that is what you get).
              Since you use servlet, not JSP, I would recommend to code in this way (it works fine
              for me, no guranttee for your situation):
              Client code: Use a big temprary string, or StringBuffer, or StringWriter to store
              all the request data (your xml file content) before you send out the request. After
              you finish to form your XML string, calculate the number of bytes (should equal to
              the length of the string) and add the request header as
              urlc.setRequestProperty("Content-Length", bytes_length);
              I will not suggest you using PrintWriter. Think use BufferedOutputStream constructed
              from URLConnection and write the bytes (use String.getBytes()) to the servlet and
              then flush.
              Servlet code: in the doPost() of your servlet, try to find the request data length
              by calling request.getContentLength(), then open the InputStream (think to use BufferedInputStream
              for performance). Read the contents from the InputStream byte by byte and counter
              the number of bytes. Once you get the number of bytes as specified via request Content-Length,
              break your reading loop and start whatever you want.
              Hope it helps.

  • WCCP on ASA for FTP over HTTP

    Hello,
    We have a WSA appliance that we have in explicit mode and want to configure as transparent. The protocols we cache and analyze with WSA are HTTP, HTTPS, native FTP and FTP over HTTP.
    Is there a service number on WCCP for FTP over HTTP protocol? Or it is included within HTTP?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Best regards,
    Igor

    Igor,
    The service number 60 (ftp-native service) only applies  to transparent redirection of FTP native requests and does not apply to  FTP-over-HTTP requests.
    On the other hand; the Content Engine listens for redirected HTTP  requests on the standard HTTP port (default port 80). To enable the  Content Engine to listen for WCCP-intercepted HTTP traffic on ports  other than the default port, configure the custom-web-cache service (98 and 99) or a  user-defined WCCP service (services 90 to 97).
    I hope this helps.

  • Making a call over HTTPS with LoadVars, XML.load(), and WebService - Yes or No?

    Hello, do LoadVars, XML.load(), or WebService support HTTPS-based endpoints, Yes or No?
    BACKGROUND
    ============
    I've been trying to get a LoadVars to actually make a call to an HTTPS endpoint. There is nothing in the documentation that says it can't. I know that there's also XML.load() and WebService class, but from the looks of it they don't do HTTPS.
    During my tests I have absolutely no issues with making calls to the same service over HTTP. When I change it to HTTPS I don't see HTTPStatus or even failures. Also, netstat on my server will show a connection being established with the endpoint when using HTTP but not when using HTTPS. I've also tried setting SSLVerifyCertificate to "false" in my Server.xml and after a restart of AMS it doesn't help, same symptom.
    I've also googled and looked through all Adobe forum posts that I can find:

    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1661461

    WebService Class - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5619776/webservice-and-fms
    The best I found from the posts above is a non-commital answer from adobe staff at https://forums.adobe.com/message/4938426#4938426 and a 3rd party person saying that Webservice doesn't work at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5619776/webservice-and-fms.
    All I need is an official supported/not-supported from the Adobe staff. Shouldn't be to hard after 5 years or so of ignoring the questions in the forum right?

    Adobe, please provide some details to your current and possibly potential customers, in at least one of the many unanswered posts about making HTTPS requests from AMS.
    P.S.
    realeyes_jun,
    RealEyes Media has been an inspiration to me for many years, and I would like to thank them for their efforts to better the media streaming community.
    Also, would it be possible to please release the source to REDbug?

  • Use HTTP Dynamic Streaming (HDS) and HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) to serve live streams to clients over HTTP

    I have created a live stream of a video and it gets stored in live folder.
    Now i need to use HTTP Dynamic Streaming (HDS) and HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) to serve live streams to clients over HTTP, publish the streams to the HTTP Live Packager service on Flash Media Server.
    So what necessary steps do I  need to follow to do that ??

    You need to generate a manifest file using Configurator tool and placed it under the webroot directory.
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 4.5\tools\f4mconfig\configurator

  • Media Share over HTTP

    I have a share from OS X Server that can be accessed over the internet by guests.  On my router, I was able to browse smb shares over the internet by going to 192.168.1.1/shares/ and each share would show up in a folder, browsed by a folder tree over http.  Can I do the same thing with afp shares?  And if they load a large video, will it wait until it all loads to play, or buffer as it goes?

    SMB, AFP, and HTTP are separate protocols. When they can browse your files via HTTP its because you have a Web server on your system configured for folder content browsing (ie, folder listings or WebDAV). You can definitely share folders through the internet via AFP, but will have to ensure the proper ports (ie, TCP 548) are open on your router, and that forwarding is properly set up on your router.
    As for playback, most likely the files will need to load in full or at least in large part, but this will depend on the format of the file and the media player being used.

    Go to this. http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.0/#mova1aaa682b . It is the link to show you how to use picture in picture. I had this same problem not too long ago.
