JBO-25003 View Object Not Found

Hi,
I am facing a very strange issue. I have a VO defined in my application. I have 2 projects in my application. When i drag and drop one of the fields from this VO on to the pages in these projects, i dont see any issue in one of the projects. However, when i do the same on the other page, i am getting JBO-25003 error.
When i delete this second project and rebuild from scratch and then drag and drop the VO, it is working fine. I cannot do this because i have lot of validations already built on this page.
somehow the VO is not recognized on the second page and i dont see any issue with the way i am dropping the VO because when i rebuild the project freshly, its workign fine.
Please help at the earliest.

We are facing the exact same issue. We're using JDev 11.1.1.5.0. We can reproduce it:
- Create an Entity based on a table, accept all defaults
- Create a View based on that entity, select all attributes, accept all defaults
- Add View to Application Module
- Create a new page
- Drag and drop newly created View Instance to the page
- Run the page
In JDev, everything works as expected: BC Tester runs perfectly, page shows table with correct columns, page definition is linked correctly, View Instance is linked correctly... Yet when we run the page, we get a "oracle.jbo.NoObjException: JBO-25003: Object NewTestVO of type View Object is not found." error.
This is pretty annoying as we can't start from scratch and we have no idea what is causing this error.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi,
This error is not related to AM, it find the view in AM that is why it is giving error. The only reason is it is not bale to find xml file of view in specified path under $JAVA_TOP, please check.

New View Object not found

Using the scott schema, in my test workspace I created a BC4J project that had 4 tables/view objects using the wizards and taking all the defaults. I created a UIX-JSP project using those view objects.
Next I created a new table in the database (LoginMaster). I went back to the BC4J project added the entity object (LoginMaster) and allowed the wizard to build the default view object (LoginMasterView) into package1. Then I opened the properties on the AM (ScottModule)to put the new view object in the Data Model property. I tested the ScotMOdule AM and the view object is there and is accessable.
I build a jsp page (using the starter form wizard in UIX-JSP category). I then striped out ALL of the default code and cut-n-pasted ALL of the code from another query form that was built by the "Business Components JSP Application" wizard of the UIX-JSP category. I changed the data source name from "EmpView" to "LoginMasterView" and when I run the application I'm told:
Error Message: Could not locate View Object LoginMasterView in application Package1Module.
oracle.jbo.JboException: Could not locate View Object LoginMasterView in application Package1Module.
As I said, the VO LoginMasterView is in package1. I also verified it is coded in package1.xml andd scottmodule.xml, I suspect it was put here by setting the AM properties.
So what did I leave out or do wrong?

Edit your package1Module application module and verify that the name of the viewobject in the selected DataModel tree is the same as the name you're providing in your JSP page.
I belive by default a number suffix is added to the VO names in the APpModule datapanel. Basically only VO usages that are included in the application module data-model are "findable" by default using the findViewObject methods. Yes it is the correct name in the DataModel Tree.
Your response got me thinking. What files contain the text LoginMasterView? Well, all the files that conatin that text contain exactly that text. I was told package1.xml in the src directory of my BC4J objects project contained the text (which it did). But then I opened the files Package1Module.xml and Package1ModuleImpl.java and noticed they DID NOT conatin that text (even though it seems they should) so I added it to both of these files. But even after I built the BC4J objects project I noticed that the Package1ModuleImpl.class file is not recompiled (still dated July 4, 2002).
So now I have two new questions:
1. How come Package1Module.xml and Package1ModuleImpl.java did not get updated? What updates them?
2. Once Package1ModuleImpl.java is manually updated and the [roject is built why is Package1ModuleImpl.class not recompiled?

JBO-25077: Name Region not found in the given object

I'm linking my main View Object to a secondary View Object using a View Link. Then in a View Criteria, I use an EXISTS statement to add a field from the secondary View Object. I make that field be a LOV dependent on another data source. When I choose an option from the dropdown list in the resulting <af:query>, it returns an error.
Below, ELEMENT is the name of that field in the secondary View Object. Product is the variable name. Region is a field in the main View Object.
(Note: When that field is not a LOV, it works fine.)

I have additional information.
The field Region in the primary View Object has another field dependent on it. It seems like when the field Element in the secondary View Object is changed, the dependent field tries to look for "Region" in the secondary View Object (which I don't understand why it would), but can't find it, so returns the error.
Hope this might be a clue to figuring out why the error happens.

Bc4j view definition not found

Within the doDML method in my PatientImpl class, I have implemented this snippet of code to insert a record into the TransactionLog entity after an insert into the Patient entity.

JBO-25002: Definition ApplicationModule not found

Hi
We are adding changing a text into LOV, we have created custom view object and custom AM. Every thing working fine on local Jdev but when copied to server we are getting
JBO-25002: Definition xxx.oracle.apps.xxort.oie.server.xxxExpenseCustomAM ApplicationModule not found error.
We have copied all java files, xml files to the server.
The lov is showing up on the page but selected the dropdown box we are getting above error.
Any ideas why?

ODI not able to detect primary/foreign keys from XML- user lacks privilege or object not found

Hi Guys,
Im trying to load an xml file with two entities address and employee as below. The topology reverse engineering everything works fine. Im even able to view the xml data in ODI, but when i try to load the data from these two entities joining by the schema primary keys and foreign keys which odi created on reverse engineering process for xml, im getting the below error. Im able to load data from one entity, error only occurs when i use the join odi creates internally to identify the xml components employee and address

Thats obvious from the xml file contents you have given here. In this xml file You have four complex type. Two of them are employee and address. However the employee doesnot have any relation with address as you have not added the relationship. Thats why its failing. Its not the fault of ODI.
Also I would suggest not to use auto generated dtd by ODI as you might face problem in future. For example the address type of XML has 8 attributes and 4 of them are not mandatory. That means each of your xml file may have attributes between 4 to 8. This is where ODI auto generated DTD fails.

when i say

iam geeting object not found
what parameters i need to set up before using explain plan

You need to set the plan table name in view->Options->Oracle. If the specified plan table doesnt exist, create the plan table

External content type error: Business Data Connectivity object not found.

Hello
I have to change the external database (external system) for an external content type. The database view on the new database is exactly the same as on the old database.
After changing the external system of the external content type, this happens:
When I try to add a new item to the list, I get this error under the external data field:
"Business Data Connectivity object not found. Administrators, see the server log for more information."
Also, when I try to update the external data field, it is not possible because the buttons are grey.
When I add a new external data field to the same list, I can use the external content type. For some reason the current external data field doesn't update.
Any ideas?

View attributes can not be retrieved. View instance not found or undefined

Hi,
I am creating a simple master detail OAF page. For this I have done following steps:
1. Created ParentEO and ChildEO
2. Created ParentVO with a transient attribute called "SelectFlag" with default value "Y" .
3. Created ChildVO
4. Created a UserViewLink.
5. Created Application module (UserAM).
6. New Page UserPG
7. In the main region I have defined Application Module.
8. Under the main region, I have created a new advanced table region with following properties:
View Instance : ParentVO1
Detail View Attribute : SelectFlag
View Link Instance: UserViewLink.
Now when I click to select the "Child View Attribute", it gives a pop up saying "View attributes can not be retrieved. View instance not found or undefined".
Please help, I am not able to proceed on this.

Anupam,
I do not see in your steps where you associated the VO with the AM. In order to select an attribute, the AM must have an instance of the VO associated with it. Double click the AM in the navigator. Click Data Model and shuttle the VO's you want to be available from the left to the right.

While Doing BW Role Uploading Getting message "Linked Objects Not Found" ?

I am trying to upload a BW role from EP , while doing role upoad activity, when I am giving role name, system namein the first step it is identifying the role from the system.
To that role four reports has been attached.
After uploading the role, the role has been get uploaded, but the reports which are attached to the role it is showing that "Linked Objects Not Found", for all the reports.
For all those reports I have checked the web url on BW server it is corect but then also I am getting above message.
Please any one help me out in this scenario.

Object not found in store error when trying to load MimeContent of an email (containing attachments)

This is a weird one and I'm hoping someone can reproduce this and give me some help.
We have a system that uses the EWS Managed API to send emails. Optionally an email may need to be saved out as an rfc822 (.eml) file afterwards for storing in our own database. In order to save to a file I need to load up the MimeContent of the message.
And this is where an "Object not found in store" exception can get thrown.
The really strange part is that the exception only seems to occur if the email contains an attachment and if there is too much of a delay between sending the email and trying to access the MimeContent!
My test code is something like:

On some systems it seems that the sending can take a while, hence my Thread.Sleep() call to simulate this.
Its when I try and load up the MimeContent that I will then get the exception. But ONLY if I sleep (simulating the occasional delay seen on customer sites) and ONLY if the email contains an attachment.
The mimecontent is necessary in order to save out to a file (by accessing the _item.MimeContetn property).
Can someone please explain the exception and/or provide a better way of doing this??

This is normal EWS doesn't return the Id of the Item in the SentItems Folder so you need to use a workaround like

If you want to understand the issue you can enable tracing and look at responses, the actually Id your trying to load the MimeContent from is probably the Id of the draft message. Eg to send a message via EWS with attachments multiple operations must be
used to construct it and when the messages finally gets sent the copy in the drafts folder is deleted and a copy is created in the SentItems folder. However the Id isn't returned for the SentItems copy hence you need the workaround.
