JBO-25222 while connecting to a OC4J container

Hi,
i create a simple BC4J Project with JDev 9 and tested it locally and it works fine.
After deploying it to OC4J 9.0.2 i create a new Configuration and try to run the Client again, but
now the code
String am = "de.orb.server.orbModule_cm";
String cf = "orbModuleEJB";
appModul = (orbModule)Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(am,cf);
fails with the Exception below.
Can someone give my a hint, whats going wrong? We gave the user all Java Permissions in the database,
but i think the applications fails before.
Thanks in advance
Mirko

Typically this is from a library not being present in your deployment env.
To solve this I copy the entire Jdev tree to the production/test boxes, which include
jdev/j2ee/... the oc4j home stuff.
Have a look in j2ee/home/config/applications.xml for all the libs that are included into
OC4J at run time.
It's easier to just put the whole tree on the deploy box.
But if you must just pick out j2ee/home then grabe ALL the shown jars in application.xml
and drop into j2ee/home/lib
and all should work too.
Good luck,
curt

    When you use DB2 SQL flavor, the ADF BC use the oracle.jbo.server.DB2SQLBuilderImpl class as an SQLBuilder. This class determines the JDBC driver class name as follows:
    1) If the JBO configuration parameter jbo.sql92.JdbcDriverClass in not empty, then the JDBC driver class name is taken from there;
    2) If the jbo.sql92JdbcDriverClass parameter is empty, then:
    <ul><li>If the JDBC URL starts with "jdbc:db2://", then com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
    <li>If the JDBC URL starts with "jdbc:oracle:db2", then com.oracle.ias.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver
    <li>If the JDBC URL starts with "jdbc:datadirect:db2", then com.ddtek.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver
    <li>Otherwise, COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver</ul>
    (Have a look at the source of the method DB2SQLBuilderImpl.getJDBCDriverClassName(String url) for more details).
    It is seen from the log in your first post that the parameter jbo.sql92.JdbcDriverClass is empty. As far as your JDBC URL starts with neither of the prefixes specified above (e.g. your URL starts with "jdbc:as400://"), then you should specify the necessary JDBC driver class in the JBO configuration parameter jbo.sql92.JdbcDriverClass. (You can specify it in the AM configuration parameters or in adf-config.xml).

  • Remote desktop connection issue with an RDP client while connecting to some of windows 2008 and 2003 operating system flavors and not receiving SDin value choice 26 from DomainMCSPDU

    Hi Team
    We have our RDP client and i came across with one issue "Expected data got 3" with this client.
    This issue is getting while connecting some of below operating system flavors.
    Microsoft Windows 2008 Enterprise edition
    Microsoft Windows 2008 Standard edition
    Microsoft Windows 2003 servers
    When we are trying to get RDP to those servers with our client, getting "Expected data got 3" error. One more main thing here is the specified error is not getting for all the servers of same operating system in above list.
    Able to get the RDP console for those servers using mstsc client.
    When i read the [MS-RDPBCGR] specification, i found the below points
    mcsSDin (variable): Variable-length PER-encoded MCS Domain PDU (DomainMCSPDU) which encapsulates an MCS Send Data Indication structure (SDin, choice 26 from DomainMCSPDU), as specified in [T125] section 11.33 (the ASN.1 structure definitions
    are given in [T125] section 7, parts 7 and 10). The userData field of the MCS Send Data Indication contains a Security Header and a Valid Client License Data (section 2.2.1.12.1) structure.
    In my code i am not getting SDin value as 26. Is it the problem with Remote desktop Licensing in RDP servers as specified in the specification like "The userData field of the MCS Send Data Indication contains a Security Header and a Valid
    Client License Data (section 2.2.1.12.1) structure."
    Could you please explain me is this issue is happening due to Licence configuration in RDP server and please provide support with server side configuration if any because our code works for other servers ?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pavan G.

  • Error while connecting to the database from a JSP Page

    Hi,
    I am using a simple JSP page which is based on the sample JSP pages from OTN.
    When I try to connect to my database using the following code:
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
    OracleDataSource ds = (OracleDataSource)ic.lookup("jdbc/OTN9iDS");
    m_connection = ds.getConnection();
    I get the following error:
    Naming exception Error while connecting to the database : javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jdbc/OTN9iDS not found in JDBCTest-JDBCTestProject-webapp
    Does anybody know wht this is happening?
    Any help would be appreciated
    FRank

    Hi Frank,
    Are you using standalone OC4J or 9iAS ? If you are using standalone OC4J then you need to add a proper data source entry in %OC4J_HOME%j2ee\home\config\data-sources.xml file.
    If you are using 9iAS the you can log in to the Enterprise Manager console and add the data source entry by using wizard provided by 9iAS.
    Ensure the case of the JNDI lookup string, since, it is case sensitive.
    Hope this helps.

  • JNDI lookup help please-Bean to Bean callout locally in same oc4j container

    Hi - I'm fairly new to oc4j/ejb coding - I'm trying to get a simple application running to show that our code can be run in local mode - here is the scenario:
    - Bean A (our application bean) within Application A
    - Bean B (customer-developed bean) within Application B
    - Bean B calls Bean A
    - Bean A + Bean B are different application instances in the same oc4j container
    - Jsp (residing in ApplicationB) within the same oc4j container calling Bean B, which invokes Bean A
    ====

    - If I change the Jsp file (residing in AppB) to call BeanA directly in the jsp code it works with no JNDI error, but changing the jsp code back to calling BeanB (which then calls BeanA) will throw the NameNotFoundException
    My Stateless Session Bean is very simple and I have tried not setting the context and setting the context. I'm thinking this is a very simple configuration issue, but have not been able to find the solution yet... I've tried playing with the setSessionContext method in the session bean but have had no luck and am not sure what to set the variables to or even if I'm in the correct method...
    public void setSessionContext(SessionContext ctx) {
    if (verbose)
    System.out.println("setSessionContext called");
    Properties env = new Properties();
    // tried all three context factories...
    //env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,"com.evermind.server.ApplicationInitalContextFactory");
    env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,"com.evermind.server.ApplicationClientInitialContextFactory");
    //env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,"com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory");
    // not sure what url to put, if any
    //env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "ormi://localhost:23791/AppB");
    env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "ormi://localhost/AppB");
    // tried with and without security principals... also tried sysadmin/sysadmin
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "guest");
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "welcome");
    // mProps is a local transient member var of type Properties
    mProps = env;
    // mCtx is a local transient member var of type SessionContext
    mCtx = ctx;
    (edit) additional info:
    - all beans/classes are in the same classes directory; there are no jar files, so in application.xml the specified classpath is "classes" which includes both appA and appB classes
    - I verified that if I point (appB) jsp directly to BeanA it works with the "parent" attribute set on appB in server.xml, and when I remove the "parent" attribute on appB in server.xml the jsp throws a NameNotFoundException
    edit #2:
    another interesting note is that the exception message says "oracle.apps.applicationa.common.BeanA not found in anothercompany.applicationb.common.BeanB"
    and usually the naming error I see is:
    "oracle.apps.applicationa.common.BeanA not found in appB"
    (as with the case when I use a jsp to access appA beans without setting the parent application of appB to appA)
    - also my j2ee/home/applications/appB/WEB-INF/web.xml includes the oracle.apps.applicationa.common.BeanA ejb-ref tag
    any help is appreciated - thanks!

    Hi Steve
    thanks for the reply - I currently have the parent attribute set in server.xml which is why the jsp connection works, but for some strange reason the bean cannot connect to other bean...
    my server.xml has something like...
    <application name="appA" location="appA" auto-start="true"/>
    <application name="appB" location="appB" parent="appA" auto-start="true"/>
    (ok, the tags might be off because I'm not in front of my workstation looking at the xml file...)
    on another interesting note, in the session bean for AppB I've tried searching for the ejb bean for app B (itself basically) with the default initial context and it cannot find its own bean within the same application... the message would be something like "NameNotFoundException: anothercompany.applicationb.common.BeanB not found in anothercompany.applicationb.common.BeanB"

    Hello,
    You are hitting a known issue that has been fixed in OC4J 10.1.3.1.
    The work around is to remove the *.lock file in the $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/persistence directory.
    Let me know if that does not work after this.

    Hello All,
    I found the solution for my particular situation!
    When checking the runtime object for CLU4, an inconsistency in the runtime object popped up:
    - the ABAP dictionary contains the field K5N1
    - the DB dictionry contains the field name K5N01
    This is a known and documented inconsistency, see note 902817 for the description.
    BUT: the solution pointed out there is wrong! The note suggests to delete all content from the physical tables and then activate the table in SE14. This is not possible for cluster tables neither in SE14 nor in SE11.
    This solution worked for me for both CLU4 and VER_CLUSTR:
    - as the tables should be empty normally I dropped them in the database
    - unlock the shadow instance with SAPup
    - log on on to the shadow instance
    - I then made some arbitrary change to the table definition in SE 11 (like adding a field). Make sure to maintain the size class also, otherwise the table won't be activated
    - save the changes and activate the tables
    - take back the previous change
    - save and activate again
    - lock the shadow instance
    - restart the upgrade phase
    Once the upgrade is done, check whether the physical table exists in the DB.
    Hope this helps!
    Regards,
    Matthias.

  • JDeveloper 9.0.3 issue - jbo.server.internal-connection

    Hello JDev-Team,
    there seems to be an issue with the jbo.server.internal-connection property in JDev 9.0.3 preview.
    I generated a project with a simple bc4j package containing a ProjectView for the PROJECT Table of the petstore shema and an app module containing this view object. In the local config for this app module is not set. Then I build a second project with a BC4J browse jsp for that view object and run this jsp in jdev. Then I got the following exception page:
    Application Error
    Return
    Error Message: JBO-30003: The application pool (petstore_jsp.CatalogModule) failed to checkout an application module due to the following exception:
    Error Message: JBO-28033: Could not retrieve row from table PS_TXN, collection id 27, persistent id -1
    Afterwards PCOLL_CONTROL is crated, but neither PS_TXN nor PS_TXN_seq.
    I can workaround the problem by setting jbo.server.internal-connection to jdbc:oracle:driver:estoreuser/estore@hostname:1521:sid. Will this be fixed in the final release?
    Regards
    Stefan

    A similar issue was reported and fixed in 9.0.3 since the preview release. The issue is that if you attempt to activate a
    snapshot state in a schema which does not contain the PS_TXN table (and its related objects) then the
    exception could occur. This will happen in the following scenario:
    1. In browser 1, DB user 1 passivates an ApplicationModule state. The state identifier is stored in a browser cookie
    (jbo.dofailover is true)
    2. In browser 1, DB user 2 requests an ApplicationModule. BC4J detects the cookie written by DB user 1 to the
    browser and attempts to activate DB user 1 state. DB user 2 has never passivated state before so the
    PS_TXN database objects do not exist. The exception above is thrown.
    In order to be sure that your issue is the same could you please post a complete stack trace?
    As you have noted the workaround is to use a shared PS_TXN table (by specifying the internal connection property).
    Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

  • 9.0.3: OC4J container start "hang" - urgent

    I installed 9.0.3 on a win2k machine that was previously running 9.0.2. I migrated preferences, workspaces, etc., rebuilt my project, and tried to run it. The tab for the oc4j container appears, and there is a message that it is starting, but it never finishes launching (opens window, browser, posts message to window about having started). I restarted jdev, rebuilt the project, tried again - same thing. Rebooted, restarted, rebuilt, same thing. I tried starting the debugger because it will kill the current oc4j instance and restart, and it said that it needed to do that, but never returned either. I have a developer down, so a speedy response would be greatly appreciated.

    I've reread all your messages again. Here's a summary of the information you've provided so far (please make any corrections or additions):
    * Platform is Win2k. (Not sure if reproduces on other platforms.)
    * Severe performance degradation in JDev 9.0.3 Preview compared to 9.0.2 Production.
    * Specific issue is with embedded OC4J, which does not complete its startup.
    * Restarting and reinstalling JDev and rebooting Windows do not improve the situation.
    * While OC4J is struggling to start up, other IDE responsiveness is extremely sluggish.
    * The Run | Terminate | Embedded OC4J menu item is disabled. No context menu at all when right-clicking on "Embedded OC4J" in the Run Manager.
    * A migration bug (2525992) is involved, but we've ruled it out as the cause of performance problems, because embedded OC4J problems are still observed in a brand new (not migrated) 9.0.3 install.
    * Problem occurs only if the .jws and .jpr are on a LAN drive. OK for source and classes to be on LAN drive.
    * Problem disappears entirely if Workspace and Project are moved to a local drive.
    * LAN drive is a NetWare resource.
    The keymap exception that you got appears to be unrelated. A similar exception was reported internally as bug 2493459, which was fixed last week in the 9.0.3 Production code line.
    Based on your information so far, I can offer the following details:
    (1) When you have files on a network volume, and these files are open in JDeveloper, if you switch to another Windows app and then come back to JDev, JDev will check those files' timestamps to see if their content needs to be reloaded in the IDE. Unfortunately, this reloading code runs on the AWT Event thread, which means that painting will be frozen until all open files have been scanned. This can lead to an extremely sluggish response in the UI. Currently there is no work-around to this problem. I have filed bug 2566932 for this issue, which I am pushing to get fixed for 9.0.3 Production.
    (2) One of the behaviors that changed between JDev 9.0.2 and 9.0.3 Preview with regard to embedded OC4J is the following command-line flag:
    -Doracle.j2ee.dont.use.memory.archive=true
    This affects the behavior of the OC4J classloaders, and it usually produces a much faster startup time for the server. However, it theoretically could cause performance problems if classes are located on a remote network drive, but we don't have a lot of good data on this. One thing you could try then is to disable this flag:
    - Go to Tools | Preferences - Embedded OC4J
    - CHECK the box labeled "Load All System JARs During OC4J Startup".
    Now try to run your webapp again and see if there is a difference.
    (3) If you are running jdev.exe instead of jdevw.exe, one of the things you can do is hit Ctrl-Break in the console window. If you do this while JDev is hung, you will get a stack dump of all the live threads. Please email the entire thread stack dump to me, Armand.Dijamco at oracle . com.
    Thanks again!

  • Probelm with rmi code in IE while connected with internet

    hello all!
    we are preparing a chat application which transfers the image in the canvas to remote m/c in local network, which in turn, should run in internet as well.
    when we are running it with appletviewer it works perfectly fine.
    when we run it in internet connected scenario we are getting an exception named ::::
    java.net.AccessControlException java.net.SocketPermission 192.168.0.1:1032 connect,resolve.
    we have edited out java.policy file and given permission to the same ip address for the same port.
    but still the problem persists.
    please help.

    thanks for the reply!!
    well! we are using the java plug-in.
    the scenario is something like this:
    we had in our system jdk1.2.1 initially,
    in our application we have one applet containing ony a button "Start Chat"...
    Upon pressing the button user will be given a frame with all the awt components like buttons,textfields and canvas.
    when we tried this in appletviewer in local network we succeeded.
    but when we tried in browser ie 5.0, we got an applet but from that we could not get frame.
    so we installed ie 6.0
    it could server out purpose but when we were trying on internet it gives an error while connecting to the server like :
    java.net.AccessControlException java.net.SocketPermission (192.168.0.1:1032) connect,resolve

  • Declarative java object cache in non oc4j container

    hello,
    i'm trying to use the cache.jar from 10g in a standalone application.
    i've followed the j2ee services guide and use cache.open(path_to_javacache.xml). javacache.xml has preload-file defined, in which i've declared my userdefined classloader and userdefined cached object. the implementations of both implement declarable. however,when i use cacheaccess.getaccess(region_name) i get regionnotfoundexception.
    i've also tried to use the configurator alternative, where i specify the declarative cache xml file. but this gives me a classcastexception.
    any suggestions. better yet is there a sample program that
    shows the use of a decl cache in a non oc4j container.
    thanks

    Hi,
    I ran into the same problem while evaluating OC4J V9 Java Cache standalone.
    Cache.open() silently ignores errors:
    * Cache.open(path_to_javacache.xml) seems to silently swallow alle error messages (in your case the ClassCastException) and the ignore the configuration file
    * so to get meaningful error messages, first attempt to open the file with new Configurator(path_to_javacache.xml)
    * once there are no more errors, you can open it with Cache.open(path_to_javacache.xml)
    Now, to get around the ClassCastException:
    * you need to add xmlparserv2.jar from your oc4j distribution
    * this must be the first xml-parser in your classpath (when e.g. xerces.jar comes first, you will get a ClassCastException)
    A relative javacache.xml is relative to your working directory.
    The preload-file - Path seems to be relative to the javacache.xml path, if it is not absolute. I keep javacache.xml and preload-file together which worked for me.
    Hope this help,
    Andreas

  • Unable to connect to standalone oc4j 10.1.3 DP4 with JDeveloper 10.1.3

    Hi all,
    I'm having problems to establish a connection to standalone oc4j 10.1.3 DP4 in JDeveloper 10.1.3 studio release.
    I'm using the default settings for my OC4J installation and I tested it with http://localhost:8888.
    I also set the host in the configuration panel to localhost and left the url-path empty as default.
    The username/password combination I filled in is correct.
    I'm getting the following error when I ty to test te connection in Jdeveloper:

    Ok, I have installed the production release. But when I login to the application console I'm getting the following error:
    This OC4J is configured to make JMX connections via RMIS and fall back to RMI if the RMIS port is not configured. The RMIS connection on the OC4J instance null on Application Server null is configured but a connection could not be established. The JMX protocol is specified by the oracle.oc4j.jmx.internal.connection.protocol property in opmn.xml
    Probably I have to configure more things here. Do you now what, before I delve into the manuals myself..;)
