Jbo:InputSelectLOV whereclause not working??

Hi,
i have defined a datasource with a whereclause for a InputSelectLov, but the whereclause is not working. In the LOV Window all records will be displayed. Whats wrong?

Do you know a way to return two values instead of just one using the lovcomp.jsp. The current InputSelectLov returns only one value.

INPUTSELECTLOV jbo tag is not working properly

Developing BC4J/JSP application with struts framework in 9.0.3.1. I'm getting exceptions when i used InputSelectLOV tag.
Here is my jsp code:

to further jdeline's answer:
it is also possible your mail server requires authentication.
try adding
username="FROM_account_user_name" and
password="FROM_account_user_password" to your cfmail tag.
there is also such thing as cf logs. and it crates one for
mail it
sends, too... you look there for errors if you have access to
the logs
(i.e. if you are not on a shared hosting)

Struts tag not working with Jbo Tag-BUG??

Hi
I am developing application using Struts with BC4J and encountered this problem.
In a JSP page if I have <jbo:DataScroller> tag and <html:cancel /> button, the button is not working.
If I remove the datascroller tag cancel button works fine (the way it should).
Not sure why this is happening, can Jdev team look into this.

How to get the value of an jbo:InputSelectLOV field

I am trying to get the value that was picked by the user by jbo:InputSelectLOV field. The value just set by this is required for another field. The only way I can do this is by doing a commit every time the user picks a value. Any suggestions?. Note:I tried Jbo:PostChanges, it did not work.
Here is the code snippet. The first Lov gets the value for LocationId. Contacts has LocationId as the foreign key, and I need this to pick ContactId.

Next-Previous Do not work Properly for lengthly dynamic Where Clause

I have created a View object using Expert Query mode
with following Query:

Then at run time the following Where Clause staments get added by in JSP based on the users criteria

In this case the DataScroller does not work properly It DataTable traves only one setp when I click the "Next" link, But if I use the Drop down list of the Scroller its works fine.
Secondly the "Next" "Previous" links of the DataScroller work fine if I use only one stmt in the WhereClause ex: "ACTIVITY_CD LIKE 'A%'".
Can anybody help me with this, Is this a limitation of DataScroller/DataTable/DataSource tags why does it not work??

Application is not working in Different environments

Hi Experts,
I am working in jdev 11.1.1.3.0 with ADF BC
I have deployed my application in 1 environment it's working fine, the same application i depoyed in another environment it's not working.

Delete functionality is not working

I have two EOs on two base tables PO_REQUISITIONS_INTERFACE_ALL and PO_INTERFACE_ERRORS and i have one VO having both EOs attached and have the sql query in the VO as below. I attached this VO in the AM. I have a page having regions style as 'query' and construction mode as 'autoCustomizationCriteria' and in that page i have two regions one is search region and another is results region. In the results region i have a button called 'Delete' and my functionality is when ever i click on Delete i am expecting the records should be deleted in both tables. But when i click on delete record is getting deleted only from PO_INTERFACE_ERRORS table not from PO_REQUISITION_INTERFACE_ALL table. Please let me know what needs to be done to fix this issue. Thanks..I changed and unchecked the 'Reference Flag' for Interface Lines VO while adding EOs in VO and it worked as it is deleting the record in Interface Lines Table also. But here i am getting one more issue on specific scenario.
My design of this development is as follow...
1. Search Page in which users give some search criteria and results will be displayed in the results region on the same page. For each results record I have two buttons like 'Update' and 'Delete' so that users can delete the record or can update the record. For update i created a one more page where users can able to edit and save the data.
Suppose I have one record in interface lines table and two records in error tables.When users given the search criteria and hit enter they found two records for same interface line. It means i have two records in error table and one record in interface table and both tables have same transaction id. So here user first try to update one record and it is working. After update he try to delete a record then I am getting below error. Please note that I am not getting this error when if i directly delete the record with out doing any update before delete.
Unable to perform transaction on the record.
Cause: The record contains stale data. The record has been modified by another user.
Action: Cancel the transaction and re-query the record to get the new data.

One problem is that you write into the output stream from an action method and don't know what's already in the output stream. Once there is one byte written to hte stream (which you can't know from inside the action method) the pdf stream does not behave as you think it would.
Next thing is that you use createRootApplicationModule but never release it. This will get you out of resources error eventually.
A better approach would be to put this code in a servlet and stream the report from there. In the servlet you have control over the output stream.

All you have to do is to exchange the part where I get and stream the image data to your needs.

DBTransactionStateListener not working properly in JDeveloper 11g TP4

Hi All
I've created a custom DCTransactionStateListener and implement transactionStateChanged(boolean state) method. When the db transaction state is being changed i set a parameter in the HttpSession. I need this in order to know if transaction is dirty.
In JDeveloper 11g TP3 it's working properly, but now i test it in TP4 and it's not working. The method is not called. I've tried with delete and modify existing rows, but the method transactionStateChanged(boolean state) was not called.
Please anyone give some help to resolve this.

In general, you should be able to reference the isTransactionDirty() property of the data control without needing to create your own custom listener here, but it looks like for the TP4 and later builds, if you do want a custom DCTransactionStateListener, you'll need to override the

FindByAltKey() is not working properly with the nullable elemens in the Key

I am facing a problem while using findByAltKey(). I have an alternate key in my Entity Object with few nullable/non nullable columns.
When I call finidByAltKey() with the key as a combination of non nullable columns It is working fine , that means the row iterator has some elements if that key exists in the Database.
When I call findByAltKey() with the key as combination of nullable columns It is not working, that means the row iterator does not have any elements

Estimatedrowcount not working in Batch mode

We have a page where we conditionally display navigation buttons based on whether a view's estimated row count is gt 10 rows. This is done via JSTL. Prior to getting to the page, a data-action refreshes the three views. In Batch mode, when we re-enter this screen a second time, all views return the estimated row count of RANGESIZE rows. If we reset the iterator range size to 6 or 7, the second time in, it would return 6 or 7 rows and the buttons would be GONE.
Interestingly enough, the dataaction displays the view object's getEstimatedRowCount(), and it is ALWAYS correct, however the front end does not work.
When we switch to IMMEDIATE mode, it works fine, however IMMEDIATE mode breaks another part of our application, where we attempt to find a row in an iterator inside of a data action. Of course, that section works fine in BATCH mode, but no IMMEDIATE.
We saw a thread out there on Metalink regarding this last issue - that setCurrentRowWIthKey returns a JBO-25020 in 10.1.2 in IMMEDIATE mode, but there was no solution.
Are there some words of advice for this sync mode issue and ways to resolve issues like this?

Are you using the parameter 'INSERT' in 'SAVE_TEXT' FM?
The module can be used to change existing texts and to create new texts. If it is clear that it is a new text, this can be specified via the parameter INSERT. The result is better performance as a test read is not performed.

DBsequence not working in ADF app

HI All
I am using Jdeveloper 11g release 2 (11.1.2.3.0) and Oracle DB.
I have created an entity object and set the type of the filed as DBseequence but forgot to insert the sequence+trigger in the database for the table from which it was created.
I have also created a view object for this EO, and through the app module have used it i a page.
Clearly the submit and/or commit were not working because of the missing seq+trigger.
I created the seq + trigger on the db, everything works fine if I insert a record from the db, and the id is generated as it should.
When i try to do the same from ADF (tried from the page and from the model tester) i get the following error : (oracle.jbo.AttrValException) JBO-27014: Attribute Invoiceid in Invoices is required.
It seems that the fact that there is a sequence to generate the id is not recognized.
Any ideas?

We are using jDev 11.1.1.5.0.
I am facing the issue Entity row with key oracle.jbo.Key is not found in my entity object.
I have EO based VO and I am performing some operations on the VO. Based on user actions on UI, I need delete some records of the entity and I am using stored proc to delete those records and committing the changes in stored proc it self. After invoking stored procedure I am committing the changes performed in UI using ADF bindings.

Where you are calling stored procedure which deletes records in the DB ?
Try to override doDML() i your entity impl, as follows:

The DBA that did the investigation is out of office today.
What i can tell you is that:
We use a data-source on the App serves that is defined by the DBA's. We only
require the DS name. Apparently, in the past, when a user was created certain
default priveledges were automatically granted. This doesn't happen anymore
with the latest release of the DB. The DBA had to explicitly grant the
priveledges.
