JCOProxy Error

Hello friends,
when I try to test a SAP JCO Function Action Block -> Object Configuration -> Get List, I receive this message: "JCOProxy Error: Password logon no longer possible -too many failed attempts"
What can I do?
Thanks for your prompt answer.

Hi,
Try to clear the JCO Cache. You can do this by running the any of the below URLs:
http://localhost/XMII/JCOProxy?Mode=Reset
http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/XMII/JCOProxy?Mode=Reset

  • JCOProxy error while calling a RFC

    Hi,
When i tr to call a RFC "CBIF_GLM1_BATCH_READ", i get a fatal error. The error message is:
"JCOProxy error: Problem retrieving JCO.Function object."
When i checked if i was able to connect to any of the functions other than BAPI's i got the same error.
Is there something that i need to turn on in SAP?
I am using SAP xMII 11.5.3 SR03 and SAP 4.7 Enterprise.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Ram,
I tried loading this RFC, CBIF_GLM1_BATCH_READ, using my version of xMII 11.5.3 and it worked without a problem.  Are you sure that this RFC was not modified in your system that causes it to not work properly?  Also, when you tested the RFC in se37 did you try to run it without setting any parameters?  What about using the Web DynPro interface to see if it generates the XML properly?  Just a couple of things to look into, but I know it's not xMII.  If you did modify the RFC you will have to restart the ServletExec service to clear the xMII JCO API cache.  Hope this helps.

  • Reg : JCOProxy error:null

    Hi All,
I am getting the following error "JCOProxy error:null" while connecting to the SAP server and search for the any "BAPI" name.
I am using my login credentials to connect to SAP server through SAP JCO Interface.
But i am able to connect to SAP server and search for BAPI in se37, using my login credentials.
    Kindly help to overcome this.
    Thanks
    Rajesh Sivaprakasam.

    Hey Mike,
thanks for the quick response ...
I need to check the points you just mentioned ...
Unfortunately it doesn't even seem like mii is trying to connect. The error message pops up right
after I click the get list button ...
If there were a firewall issue or sth similar, i would expect mii to try connecting for at least a few seconds...
Can you help me figure out wether the JCO is installed correctly or not ...
Thank you very much for your help.

  • JCOProxy error: Null

    Hi.
We've set-up a new server (which will eventually be our PRD server) with MII and imported our applications from our DEV/TST system. When trying to connect to SAP ECC using Get List we are getting the error "JCOProxy error:Null".
The SAP system definition and user/password are correct because we connect successfully from our Dev/Tst server.
We've reloaded JCO and cleared the JCO Proxy.
Can you recommend settings, dll's, or other we should check?
    Thank you!

    Hi Jody,
I would suggest that you delete and reenter the password for the connection (in SAP Server Editor in the MII Portal).  In a number of copying situations, passwords are not transmitted presumably as a security measure.
What version and service pack/build of MII are you using?  If you are still using 11.5, do as Jeremy suggested.  If you have a personal ID and password that works on your ERP system, I would use those credentials to test connectivity in the PRD MII system with a new MII SAP Server (build it using the SAP Server Editor).
    Good luck,
    Mike

  • JCOProxy error trying to retrieve BOM

I am having a problem with the CSEP_MAT_BOM_READ remote enabled function module that is used to retrieve the Bill of Material. It works in SAP R/3 but returns an error when it is called from xMII.
The input parameters are not show and in their place the following error is show: "JCOProxy error: INVALID_CHARACTER_ERR: An invalid or illegal XML character is specified."
Is there some way around this error, or another function module or BAPI that can be used to get the Bill of Material?
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • JCOProxy Error: Name or Password is incorrect

    Hi,
We freshly installed NW 2004s and MII 12.0.2. After that we created Communication Data user in SAP and tried to connect XMII with SAP by using SAP JCo action block in workbench. But it is showing Name or Password is incorrect. Please re-enter. Then we changed the user role to Dialog user in SAP. We tried again. But again it showed the same problem. But in SAP we are able to login by using the user.
We clear the cache as mentioned in one reply in this forum like
    http://localhost/XMII/JCOProxy?Mode=Reset
But after this also, it is not working. Still it is showing the same error.
We gave all parameters correct but problem not solved.
    How to solve this?

    Hi Senthil,
We too faced the similar issue, what we did taht we asked the abap guy to overwrite the same credntials in in R/3 side. We also did overwrite the credentials in MII side. Surprisingly it started working.
Go through the similar thread over [Here|Re: JCO Connection in MII 12.1], but it is for MII 12.1

  • JCO Proxy Error while connecting xMII into SAP R/3 Server

    Hi All
When we try connect out SAP xMII server to the SAP R/3 Server using JCo (JCO Interface), we are getting an error
"Fatal Error: JCOProxy Error:Name or Password is incorrect, please re-enter"
We have checked the userID and password for logging into the SAP R/3 System and it is all correct and we are also able to login with the same userID/password using SAPGui. All the other details like SAP Server, Client Instance is all correct.
appreciate if someone can help resolving this.
    Thanks and Regards
    Biju Kumar

    Hi Biju,
I have also experienced this error. We are using xMII 12.0.1 with SAP R/3 4.6B. Please make sure that your password is in lowercase without special characters. Also check the xMII-logs if there is some more information about the error.
If nothing helps, delete the SAP server entry in Data Services and re-enter it. Maybe this makes it work. I found that either the password was different or the new entry helped.
    Regards

  • JCO Proxy Error

We're running xMII 11.5.3 and recently upgraded SAP from 4.6c to ERP 6.  I've downloaded the PM templates from SDN and took the WorkOrderList transaction out for a spin.  I'm gettng a 'JCOProxy error: Problem retrieving JCO.Function object.' error in the Request document of the GetWorkOrderList action, then subsequent errors downstream from there.
I've pointed the transaction to our ERP 6 development server and verified that BAPI_ALM_ORDERHEAD_GET_LIST exists in the system.
    Is it a permissions issue?
    David Macindoe

I tried it again with the WorkOrderDetail template which uses BAPI_ALM_ORDER_GET_DETAIL.  It ran with error and returned data.
I re-tried the original template - WorkOrderList - which uses BAPI_ALM_ORDERHEAD_GET_LIST.  It still gives me a JCOProxy error.
I'll take a look at the user authorizations.

    Hi Jeremy
We are on Version 12 build 75.
In xMII workbench, when I click on Actions and then ERP system interface, SAP JCo interface, I right click and configure for a particular R/3  with CSEP (mentioned above) RFC name and search pattern after configuring for this r/3 I quit and come back to click on Links, here under requests or links I dont get any fatal error.
But for the same CSEP ** when I do for another R/3 system and click on links and under requests and reponse I get a Fatal error listed.
and when I place the cursor over the request I get the following message.
fatal error , jco proxy error, Inavlid_character _error. An invalid or illegal XML character is specified.,</Fatal error>
    Any help appreciated!

  • MII 12.1.4 JCO Credential Editor

    Hi All,
    I am running MII 12.1.4.
We are using JCO connections in our BLS.  We are aware that in 12.1.4 that there is a threading issue with credential editor.  So we were told to configure the username/password in the links section of the JCO action block.  We have done this and it appears to work.
My question is if we are supposed to change the JCO connection alias section to blank, or leave it selected?
I think that the action block "Links" takes priority over action block "configure".  Can somebody confirm/deny this for me?
How I ran into the questions:  We were testing a new MII server.  We setup the JCO action block to have a blank credential alias and username/passwd configured in links.  Then when we execute the transaction, an error occurred saying that "JCOProxy error: No credential alias defined".  I can then select the credential alias and have the BLS run.  However I don't want to encounter the threading issue.
An additional note:  I am able to select the JCO credential alias, generate sample documents, go back delete credential alias, and finally NOT generate sample documents and get the BLS to work.  However I think that this method is really just still caching the credential alias from the generated sample docs.
Note:  Upgrading to a newer MII version isn't an option at this time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Justin

It's been awhile since that specific version of 12.1, but if memory serves me correctly, you're running into an error that was fixed long ago.  The design time stuff in the WB is working as expected, but the runtime TRX stuff is not.  At runtime it should see the configured credential alias, look up the relevant user details and use them in the JCO call to ECC, which would supercede any specific user credentials in the configure dialog.

  • How do we use MSHOST instead of ASHOST in JCO Block xMII 11.5?

Our SAP configuration has changed, and we are being told that we need to use MSHOST instead of ASHOST.  Can someone tell us how we can do this in the JCO block?  The error we are getting when I try to do a Get List:
(xxxx is there to replace servernames)
Fatal Error: JCOProxy error: Connect from SAP gateway to RFC server failed
    Connect_PM
    GWHOST=xxxxx, GWSERV=xxxxx, ASHOST=xxxxx, SYSNR=11

    Todd,
Just for kicks can you Remote Desktop onto the MII server and try to ping both your MS and AS hosts?  Then I would try to verify that the communication port is actually open across the network, a quick and dirty method is to from the Command Prompt of the MII server use the telnet command:
    telnet server port
If the screen goes blank then you will know that the port traffic is acceptable between the servers, otherwise you will get a connection error message back and you can blame the firewall for the issue.
    Thanks,
    Sam

  • JCO Alias Password Not Saving

I am on 12.1.8 of MII.  I have set up a JCO System Connection pointing to my dev sap system.  I went out and created a credential with a valid user id and password into the SAP system I set up for JCO connectivity.
When I try to run a JCO Interface in a BLS using my JCO system Connection I set up and the crednetial I set up, it keeps coming up with 'Name or password incorrect'.  After a coply of tries it is locking my user id out of SAP and I have to unlock it.  So it is recognizing my userid, just not my password.
I am sure I have used the correct password because over in R/3 I can get in.  In R/3 I am set up with SAP_ALL.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

    Hi Mike,
I'm working with Brad on this project and the pop-up that we get doesn't allow for a userid/password to be entered.  The pop-up reads "JCOProxy error:  No credential alias defined" and the only option is to press "OK" to get past the message.  After three attempts the userid gets locked in R/3 so the issue appears to be just the password saved with the alias.
I've opened a ticket in the service marketplace and received a request from SAP to send an R/3 logon trace.  I generated one and attached it to the message but haven't heard back (response time from SAP has been very slow).
Do you have any other suggestions or ideas that might help us?
    Thanks.
    Brian

  • Error in RFC call, after unicode conversion of ERP

    Hi,
We have just converted our ERP system to unicode. And we are using xMII 11.5. When i am calling a RFC thro' the BLS, it throws me this error
[ERROR]: RFC Execution Error: An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x0) was found in the element content of the document.
The same error for all the RFC's i call.
But when i execute the BAPI as such in se37, in ERP , its fine.
What could be the reason for this?

    Hima ... try this
