JCos (Java Connectors) from one GRC server to multiple clients on same DEV

I have installed SAP GRC Access Controls RAR on a server.
I have connected the RAR using JCo's to a client (800) on a DEV R/3 (4.7) box.  I have also performed analysis succesfully on the roles and users in this DEV client.
I now have another development client on the DEV box (500) which I need to perform analysis for.  This client is HR specific.
I know I can create a new JCo to connect to client 500.  But what will be the impact on my analysis results?  How will I distinguish between the results found from client 500 and those found from client 800?
How would you suggest the best way of doing this?
Many thanks in advance.

You will need to create a second JCO to the second client as JCO's are client specific (username password combinations to log on etc etc)
You distinguish the results in Risk ANalyses by choosing the JCO (system) when you create the reports eg: Client 500, Client 800 or ALL.
It can be very confusing and you have to be careful otherwise you will interpret the results incorrectly.
If your new client is HR specific make sure that you have the HR RTA installed as well and patch the HR and Non-HR RTAs up to the latest versions.

  • Moving LCM Jobs from one LCM server to another

    I have just built a new proof of concept LCM server (3.1 SP3 FP3.7).  My aim is to migrate the content from our current production LCM server (3.1 SP2 FP2.5) to the POC LCM server.  I have been able to migrate the subversion repository.  I have been able to migrate custom access levels and users etc.
    I want to migrate the actual LCM jobs stored within LCM itself from production LCM to POC LCM server.  Should be able to do this with LCM itself or Import Wizard but neither work.
    Import Wizard produces and error against each LCM Job as follows, "Failed to create a new CrystalEnterprise.LCMJob. reason: Item SI_NEWOBJECT was not found in the collection"
    LCM itself does not show the LCM jobs when adding objects to a job.  It will show the Sub Folders under the main LCM folder (which contain the specific jobs I'm looking to migrate) but not the jobs themselves.  Selecting one of the sub LCM folders and clicking the "Add & Close" button results in this error;
    Sorry, LCM application is unable to process your request.
    The error from the server is: Failed to get dependencies of the job.com.crystaldecisions.sdk.exception.SDKServerException: CMS operation timed out after 9 minutes. cause:com.crystaldecisions.enterprise.ocaframework.idl.OCA.oca_abuse: IDL:img.seagatesoftware.com/OCA/oca_abuse:3.2 detail:CMS operation timed out after 9 minutes. • JCo( Java Connector)

    Hi Guys,
    Any one give some info abt JCo( Java Connector). Thanks in advance.
    Thanks
    Kiran.B

    Hi Kiran,
    Check the following example
    SAP Java Connector - Excample 1: Simple RFC call
    Scenario
    We will call the RFC function module ZNAS_HIE1_GET_MEMBER_FARM.that returns members that have owned a farm. Input to the function is a farm number, and output is a table of members that have owned the farm and Owner number (Sequence number of owners).
    Class testJCO is excuted and calls class GetMemberFarm method GetMemberFarmFromSap. Input parameters to GetMemberFarm are Farm and Owner number.
    GetMemberFarmFromSap executes RFC ZNAS_HIE1_GET_MEMBER_FARM, that returns a table of members that have owned the farm from the input parameters.
    GetMemberFarmFromSap loops through the table and finds the member where ZZCHCODE (Owner numer), is equal owner number from the input-parameters. and returns the member.
    Code
    Class testJCO
    public class testJco
         public static void main(String[] args)
              GetMemberFarm testGetMemberFarm = new GetMemberFarm();
              String memberFarm= testGetMemberFarm.GetMemberFarmFromSap("0111020155","02");

  • Trying to move EP 7.0 from one MSSQL server to a different one

    We have created a distributed instance installation of NW2004s/EP7.0.
    We need to move the database instance from one windows server to a second server.  We do not need to move any other portions.
    We shutdown the MSSQL server and copied the files, and brought the database up.  To test I connected to the database using query analyzer, and the user which is defined as SAP<SID>DB (in our case SAPSPPDB) and this worked fine.
    When I adjust the default profile parameter, and the config tool parameter - in the secure store: jdbc/pool/<SID>/URL.  The changes were done after teh database was shutdown and copied.  I get errors afterwards jcontrol fails, online and offline config tool do not open, etc'
    What is the process for moving a MSSQL database from a portal?

    I did it a few times succesfull and this is (my) procedure:
    1. stop the SAP system
    2. detach th DB on the Source server
    3. copy db+log files to the Target server
    4. attach the db on the Target server
    5. repair login/db user account following the steps:
    -  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/274188
    OR
    -  http://blog3.daqureshi.com/archive/2008/12/16/11.aspx
    6. update/change the file usr\sap\<sid>\sys\profile\default.prf
    7. start the configtool and within the keystore change the jdbc connection parameters so that it points to the new DB Server
    8. save this action!!!!
    9. exit and restart the configtool and look if its connecting to the new DB Server
    10. exit the confconfigtool.
    11. start your SAP System
    Good Luck!

  • How to move phones from one CUCM server to another?

    How easy is it to migrate IP phones from one CUCM server to another?
    The situation is this:
    A vessel currently sitting in dry dock has 14 IP phones onboard which currently register with a CUCM server half way round the world (literally). As you can imagine there is quite a fair amount of delay for the signal processing, not to mention the connectivity being over a VSAT link. This being a temporary solution.
    A CUCM server has been configured and installed on the vessel with all the relevant partitions, route patterns, trunks etc. The phones have also been added to the new server ready for migration. The only real thing that will be different when the phones are migrated is the Directory Number on each phone. Both CUCM servers are running software version 7.1.3
    The phones currently pick up their local IP addresses via a local DHCP server which assigns 150 TFTP Server IP Address for the remote CUCM server. Is changing the the TFTP Server IP address to the local CUCM server enough to have the phones register with the local server.
    This is not something I've tried before so would appreciate feedback or any comments that may indicate anything I missed along the way.
    Thanks,
    Ric

    Hi Ricardo,
    On the DHCP scope created for the voice vlan change the Option 150(TFTP Server IP address) to the new CUCM and remove/delete the remote CUCM IP address just to ensure that phones once after registering to the new CUCM will not fetch any config from the remote CUCM as the DN's of the phones are changed on the new CUCM please ensure this.
    Apart from this i dont see any challenges as the firmware of the IP Phones will also remain same as CUCM version is same.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to copy a Module Pool Program from one SAP server to another SAP server

    Hi Experts,
    My requirement is to copy some Module pool programs from one SAP server to another SAP server which do not have any link.
    Please advise on this.
    Regards
    Dipak

    put all relevant objects inside a transport request and release it. this will generate two files, a control file in /usr/sap/trans/cofiles/ and a data file in /usr/sap/trans/data/
    you can take these two files, zip'em up and e.g. email them to your destination. There they have to be put into the same directories of that other server and can then be added to the import queue and finally imported.
    These last steps would usually be done by an administrator.
    Both systems should be on the same release, as far as I know.
    Cheers

  • Fetching data from one BI server to another

    Hi All,
    We have BCS environment on top of BI. We have a request from Client to refresh the BCS data in our quality box (copy of BCS production data). Data wasn't refreshed to our Quality system regularly from SAP Quality and hence we thought of complete BI Production copy to our Quality box.
    Since the above strategy is time consuming,we have been contemplating on other options and have stumbled upon SAP blog http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/21489. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    The blog talks about pulling data from one BI server to another. As BCS is such a fragile environment, wanted to take an opinion on whether you all see any concerns with the approach.
    Regards,
    Vivek Das Gupta

    Hi,
    W have done the system copy from production to QA system and only faced authorization issues  and also we follwed the same blog and as mentioned in the blog dont forget below points before going ahead for the system copy.
    switch the source Real Time Infocube (in MBP) if you want to copy all latest productive data, that is to say including those which were contained in the open request.
    For data consistency reasons and to avoid any risk of error, the loading process is executed in Full.
    If you planning to copy only a part of the source data records,  set filters in the infopackages.
    Hope it going help you

  • What the best way to call twenty tuxedo domains from one weblogic server use WTC

    I need to call twenty tuxedo domains from one weblogic server use
    WTC. the Service be called in the twenty tuxdo domains are same, do I need to
    write twenty EJB in the weblogic server to call the same service? who have good
    adea to deal with this problem?

    Hi,
    I have a question on the second case. When the client doesn't care of which
    Tuxedo domain it is hitting. What happens if one of the Tux domain is down ? What
    happens to the client request to that domain ?
    Another question is lets say i have a Tuxedo configuration as MP mode( Multi
    machine mode) how does WTC load balance between the Tuxedo domains.
    Thanks,

    Hi xcjing,
    One way to handle your needs is to use local service name to remote
    reservice name translation. For instance,
    (in 6.1,6.0 WLS)
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOUPPER1" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM1">
         <RemoteName>TOUPPER</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOUPPER2" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM2">
         <RemoteName>TOUPPER</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOUPPER3" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM3">
         <RemoteName>TOUPPER</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    etc
    With this configuration if your client have to call "TOUPPER" service
    in
    TUX-DOM1 then you code your client to call "TOUPPER1" and the request
    will be routed to TUX-DOM1. The same way for request has to go to
    TUX-DOM3, your client calls "TOUPPER3" service and WTC will route it
    to
    TUX-DOM3. In this remote name translation you may have to write 20 EJB
    although they are almost the same. However, if your EJB can analyze
    your client input to decide which Remote Tuxedo Domain to send the
    service request to then you probably only need one EJB.
    In the case that your client does not care which remote Tuxedo Domain
    provides the service then adding
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOLOWER" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM1">
         <RemoteName>TOLOWER</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOLOWER" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM2">
         <RemoteName>TOLOWER</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOLOWER" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM3">
         <RemoteName>TOLOWEr</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    etc
    Will load balance your client "TOLOWER" service request among your 20
    remote Tuxedo Domain.
    However, there is a bug in WTC that causes the Remote Service Name
    translation functionality not working properly. It is fixed in the
    upcoming release of WLS.

    hi xcjing,
    You don't have to write 20 beans or deploy 20 beans because there
    are
    20
    remote Tuxedo TDomain you need get the service from. Of course, WLSand
    WTC does not prohibit you from doing it though. Whether you need20
    beans or not depend more on you architecture.
    To access 20 remote Tuxedo Domain from one single WLS with singleWTC
    you can configure 20 remote Tuxedo Domain in the BDMCONFIG (6.1,6.0)
    or
    from the console (7.0). You import 20 services one from each remote
    Tuxedo domain. You write one bean, and deploy one bean. Your WLS
    clients will be able to access THE ejb, the EJB will access the WTC
    service, and WTC will load balanced the service requests among the20
    remote Tuxedo Domain.

  • Can I call a Java program from a SQL Server Trigger?

    Hello,
    I want to encrypt some data in a database column in SQL Server. Today I am using java code to encrypt the value and store it in the database using JDBC.
    Now I want to use a VB client to store the encrypted value in the SQL Server DB. Since the encryption is handled by a java class, can I write a trigger in SQL Server that while inserting the raw data, calls the java class for encrypting the value and then inserts the encrypted value into the column?
    In general, is it possible to call a java class from a SQL Server trigger?
    Thanks
    Bipin

    Here are 3 examples of code for insert, update and delete:
    CREATE TRIGGER [PLI_INSERT_TRIGGER] ON [dbo].[PLI]
    FOR INSERT
    AS
    Declare @cmd sysname, @code sysname, @list sysname
         Select @code = PLI_K_COD, @list = PLI_K_LISTINO from inserted
         Set @cmd = 'java mirrorDb.Copy PLI INSERT ' + @code + ' ' + @list
         EXEC master..xp_cmdshell @cmd
    CREATE TRIGGER [PLI_UPDATE_TRIGGER] ON [dbo].[PLI]
    FOR UPDATE
    AS
    Declare @cmd sysname, @code sysname, @list sysname
         Select @code = PLI_K_COD, @list = PLI_K_LISTINO from inserted
         Set @cmd = 'java mirrorDb.Copy PLI UPDATE ' + @code + ' ' + @list
         EXEC master..xp_cmdshell @cmd
    CREATE TRIGGER [PLI_DELETE_TRIGGER] ON [dbo].[PLI]
    FOR DELETE
    AS
    Declare @cmd sysname, @code sysname, @list sysname
         Select @code = PLI_K_COD, @list = PLI_K_LISTINO from deleted
         Set @cmd = 'java mirrorDb.Copy PLI DELETE ' + @code + ' ' + @list
         EXEC master..xp_cmdshell @cmd
    you must go "sql server entreprise manager" right click on the table you want to add triggers and select: all activities, manage triggers.
    You have 3 examples: for an insert, for an update and for a delete
    ON [dbo].[PLI] specify the table on which you want to setup trigger.
    FOR DELETE, INSERT, UPDATE specify the event.
    The Declare statement create the variables in which I want to put some values to pass to the java program, for example which table, which event, which key fields.
    the "Select @code = PLI_K_COD, @list = PLI_K_LISTINO from inserted" set the variables with the value of the columns of the table I am interested to read from my java program, for example the variable @code receive the value of the column pli_k_kod (is the key) of the table PLI.
    The "Set @cmd = 'java mirrorDb.Copy PLI DELETE ' + @code + ' ' + @list " prepared the variable @cmd with the java command followed by the package.classname and parameters.
    The EXEC launch the command to the operating system.

  • How to control one server with multiple clients via TCP/IP

    I am wanting to control a single server with multiple clients.  Only one client would be active at a time, so there would be no conflict.  I want to use TCP/IP.  So far, I have programmed a cluster that passes data back to the server with no problems.  The challenge come in when a second client is added to the mix.  I have't been able to figure out how to turn each client on and send the appropriate data and then turn it off so it doesn't keep sending the same data to the server.
    Here are the things that I have considered and did some preliminary testing, but don't really know how to impliment:
    1.  Send a numeric on the front of the cluster packet that tells the server that data is on the way.
    2.  Send a boolean on the front of the cluster packet to somehow turn the server TCP/IP on.
    The problem I have found is that LabVIEW TCP/IP doesn't like to be turned on and off.  If it doesn't get the data it expects, it goes into a reset mode and that kills the response time.
    Any help?

    You should consider implementing a set of simple one-byte commands that can be sent back and forth between the Server and the Clients. You can base all of these ideas off the example in the Example Finder under Networking >> TCP and UDP called Multiple Connections - Server.
    You will have two loops in the server VI: one to wait for new connections, and one to send and receive data from the existing connections. For instance, after one of the clients connects, it can request control of the server to send data to it by sending the character "R" for request. Every time the send/receive loop of the Server executes, the first thing it can do is to check all the existing connections to see if any of the clients have sent a control request ("R"). If so, it will create a buffer (array) of control requests. This could be in the form of Connection IDs or indexes in the array for a particular Connection ID. Your choice.
    After the Server receives a request for contol, if it is not already under control by another client, then it can send a response to the first client on the control request list. For instance, the server could send the first client a "S" command for send. Note that after the clients send their control request, they should execute a TCP Read and wait indefinitely for the server to respond with the one-byte "S" command. Then, once the client in control is finished sending data to the server, it could send the character "X" telling the Server to release it from control.
    The example I mentioned above already does a similar thing. Note how when a client wants to disconnect, they send the letter "Q". You can see this in the Multiple Connections - Client VI. The Server then checks each individual connection to see if it's received this one-byte command, and if it has, it closes the connection to the client. This is what you would want to implement, but instead of having just one command, you'll have to distinguish between a few and build up a buffer of control requests.
    Finally, if a client does decide to disconnect in your application, they could send the command "Q" just like the example above. At this point, close the connection and remove that Connection ID from the array of connections. You will also have to handle the case that this client was in the request control waiting line when it disconnected, in which case you need to delete it from that array as well.
    This will definitely work for you, but it will take some work. Best of luck!

  • Connecting One process Server to Multiple SAP Systems

    Hi Experts,
    We have a licensed version of the SAP CPS with the Process server limit parameter set to 4, which means we are limited to 4 process server as per my understanding. But when we create a SAP system the process server and the respective Queue is automatically created. SO that means we can create a max number of 4 SAP systems with 4 process servers!!
    Or is there a way we can connect one process server with multiple SAP systems ?
    Thanks,
    Eric.

    Yes - Process server limit parameter set to 4 means your CPS environment can start jobs in 4 SAP systems only.
    Maybe "SAP Business Automation Enabler (BAE) Connectors" could be useful to you in your situation.
    - Check the CPS admin guide for more information on BAE connector.

  • Issue listeneing queue from Weblogic Cluster server with multiple managed server

    Haveing issue listeneing queue from Weblogic Cluster server with multiple managed server.
    Weblogic Cluster structure is like
    Weblogic Cluster01
      --ManagedServer01(http://server01.myhost.com:7001)
      --ManagedServer02(http://server02.myhost.com:7001)
    JMS Servers
      JMSserver01 targeting: ManagedServer01
      JMSserver02 targeting: ManagedServer02
      JMSmodule
      ConnectionFactory01 targeting:JMSserver01,JMSserver02
      UDQueue01 targeting:JMSserver01,JMSserver02
    Uniform Distributed Queue in Monitoring tab showing like this
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver01@UDQueue01
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver02@UDQueue01
    So when I am sending message to any Host(by specifying the provider URL) its distributing equally on both server like
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver01@UDQueue01 10
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver02@UDQueue01 10
    But when try to listen message from these queue, it is listening from one server, for which URL given to connect.
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver01@UDQueue01 0
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver02@UDQueue01 10
    untill I connect to other server by giveing its URL, will not able to access other message left on the queue.
    Solutions that tried
      1) we have tried give both server URL coma sparated in provider URL
    we need to configur same scenario for 5 managed server with 3 listener on other servers.
    Do any one have solution for this.

    You need to have:
    1. Consumers connected to each UDQ member
    OR
    2. If no consumers in some of the members is expected, you can configure Forward Delay (specify the amount of time, in seconds, that a queue member with messages, but with no consumers, will wait before forwarding its messages to other queue members that do have consumers):
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12839_01/apirefs.1111/e13952/taskhelp/jms_modules/distributed_queues/ConfigureUDQGeneral.html
    For example you can set it to 10 (10s)
