Hi,
I am facing the exact same issue when getting a big jar of more than 7 megs. It seems to occur in some special network configuration that I am not yet able to figure out. It is obviously linked to the fact that the jar is unpacked on the client side.
Anybody ran into this one and understood the root cause? Please, don't resurrect old threads, and don't use signatures with addresses. I'm locking this thread.

Java.io.IOException: data error cyclic redundantie check
Dear all,
I did a fresh install of JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.0 with JHeadstart 10.1.3.26 on my computer. These are the versions we use.
I've made a database connection, so that's allright.
When I open JDeveloper and I try to add an Application, we allready have made(with the same versions) I get the next error in JDeveloper: xxx.jws was saved in version file format and cannot be opened with an older version of JDeveloper. The version is not mentioned...
In the terminal I get the messeage of my subject: java.io.IOException: data error cyclic redundantie check.
I'm sure i'm using the same versions.
Does anybody know what went wrong?
regards,
Marcel. It's like the data stream is getting messed up...so I would think of a few things:
1) Bad memory?
2) Bad connections?
3) Bad disk?
4) Viruses
Anything that can screw up the data steam.
Other than that....maybe as simple as reinstall the JVM and put new compiled code out there and see if it behaves. -
Java.io.IOException: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
Dear everyone,
I have a utility that copys a file, using streams.
It has always worked fine, but I ran into an
exception this morning:
java.io.IOException: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
from the call:
int bytes = fileInputStream.read(byteBuffer);
Would you know what this exception is about? I
haven't seen that exception after that, though.
So it's a bit puzzling. Any help, or clue towards
solving this problem is appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

What i dont get is in the entire stack trace i am not able to locate which of my application files is causing the errors
I searched on net and found a few root causes but i am not able to find out exactly which class file is causing the stack trace
Any suggestions are most welcome
Thanking in advanceDid you do something strange like writing the object out using the Servlet response's output stream and then attempted to redirect or forward a user to another page? That is usually how the IllegalStateException gets generated. You would still see a valid response from the caller's perspective, but since you attempted to forward or redirect after data has already been written to the stream on the server, an exception is thrown there.

}Hi Narasimhan
From what i understand from this post is that the application data is not getting downloaded to the client from the server and the data is in O-waiting in the middleware. One possibile reason for this is because of time out in the ABAP Sync Service. There is a parameter named <i><b>icm/keep_alive_timeout</b></i> which indicates the time between the last successful query and the termination of connection. The default value for his parameter is 60 seconds. Increasing this value to a higher value (preferably in minutes, depending on your landscape and amount of data) will definitely help. You can probably set the value of this parameter to around 10 mins.
Go to transaction RZ11 and enter the above parameter name to display the current setting. Inorder to change the default value, please refer to note 824554 which describes this in detail
Hope this helps

This is JDeveloper 10.1.3.5.0 from patch p19170592_R12_GENERIC.zip
The OAF release is 12.2.4
JDEV_USER_HOME is set to C:\Olivier\R12\jdev1224\jdevhome\jdev
The .dbc file looks fine.
I connect successfully to database.
I tried to reinstall JDeveloper.
I performed many searches on MOS, OTN, Google, etc...
I tried to change the Startup Settings (Host Name, IP Address settings) of the Embedded OC4J Server Preferences.
I am stuck.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
OlivierHi Peddi,
Thanks for your reply.
I checked again the .dbc file.
I downloaded again the file from $INST_TOP/appl/fnd/12.0.0/secure to <JDEV_USER_HOME>\dbc_files\secure
This file worked fine for JDeveloper for 12.2.3.
I went again through "Oracle Application Framework Developer's Guide Release 12.2.4 July 2014" but could not find any part related to .dbc file having changed from previous release.
I tried to comment out the parameter APPS_JDBC_URL in .dbc as per MOS note "Troubleshooting JDeveloper setup for Oracle Applications (Doc ID 357218.1)"
But I still face the issue.
According to the note "Configuring JDeveloper For Use With Oracle Applications 11i and R12 (Doc ID 330236.1)", I have added the following debug parameters in the project properties:
-Djbo.debugoutput=console -Djbo.logging.trace.threshold=9 -Djbo.jdbc.driver.verbose=true -Djbo.jdbc.trace=true
It generated the following OC4J server detailed log showing more error messages (in red below):

judeOld, but still coming up in google searches. Here's the solution that worked for me:
Dynamic Port Allocation explained:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823938
How to: Configure a Server to Listen on a Specific TCP Port (SQL Server Configuration Manager)
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823938
In case that dissappears:
To assign a TCP/IP port number to the SQL Server Database Engine
1. In SQL Server Configuration Manager, in the console pane, expand SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration, expand Protocols for <instance name>, and then double-click TCP/IP.
2. In the TCP/IP Properties dialog box, on the IP Addresses tab, several IP addresses appear, in the format IP1, IP2, up to IPAll. One of these are for the IP address of the loopback adapter, 127.0.0.1. Additional IP addresses appear for each IP Address on the computer. Right-click each address, and then click Properties to identify the IP address that you wish to configure.
3. If the TCP Dynamic Ports dialog box contains 0, indicating the Database Engine is listening on dynamic ports, delete the 0.
4. In the IPn Properties area box, in the TCP Port box, type the port number you wish this IP address to listen on, and then click OK.
5. In the console pane, click SQL Server 2005 Services.
6. In the details pane, right-click SQL Server (<instance name>) and then click restart, to stop and restart SQL Server. -

Hi,
I am facing the exact same issue when getting a big jar of more than 7 megs.

Hello, everyone.
I'm trying to create a .cfm document that will erase a specific Solr collection and then re-create it, index it, and optimize it.
The delete works flawlessly.
Unfortunately, creating it isn't working, at all. I get the following message:
Unable to create collection publicsearch - An error occurred while creating the collection: java.io.IOException: The device is not ready.
This is a Windows 7 server running Apache and CFServer 9.0.1 (the version before Verity was cut.) I'm not getting any more details than the one error message. Any idea of what could be causing this? I've Googled this and I'm seeing a lot of issues similar, but not quite what I have happening.
Thanks,
^_^Nevermind.. no one bothered to inform the developer that the path to the collection AND the path to the directory that the collection is for are different on this other server.
Fixed.
