JDev 10.1.3.3.0: How to include an HTML comment in a JSPX page

When adding an HTML comment to a JSPX file, it automatically gets stripped out before being rendered to the browser.
How do I write a comment to the browser for diagnostic purposes (to figure out where something gets rendered in the HTML).
Thanks,
Jonathan

Try enclosing the HTML code in a <f:verbatim> tag.

    Here is the .jsp file and the serverinclude tag is written in the 4th line from last.
    <uix:servletInclude source="layout.html" />
    I want the content of the layout.html in the main content pane but instead it is getting added on to the top or to the SideNav.

    Check out OSS Note No.747818
    You can use the ~no_its_header parameter to deactivate the default
    header that is generated. As soon as this parameter contains any value,
    header generation is suppressed. In ITS 6.20, you can set the parameter
    with the AdminTool. You will find the relevant switch under
    Security-General.
    If the ITS is integrated into the WebAS (SAP Netweaver 04 and higher),
    you must maintain the parameter in the ICF service. Note that you have
    to maintain the parameter individually for each service.

    i have tried my best..but tell me if there's any possible way of including a class file in the jsp page without involving a package.No, there isn't.
    If not,then pls help me to generate the class file of my home interface within a package called test.Read the New To Java Tutorial and understand how packages work.

  • How to include a html file in jsp

    hi all
    I have a question about including a html in jsp.
    here's the sample of my jsp file:
    <%
    String filename = "helloworld.html";
    %>
    <%@ include file="helloworld.html" %>
    how will you go about doing it so that the included file depends on the variable "filename"? I've tried doing the following but I got an error:
    <%@ include file=filename %>
    Thank you very much :)

    try this:-
    <%
    String filename = "helloworld.html";
    %>
    <jsp:include page='<%= filename %>' />
    This should work.

    Hi,
    Copt the files over to your website directory and then copy everything in the head tag into the page you want to include the edge project in and then copy the contents of the body tag into where you want to put the edge animation.
    I hope this helps.

  • How to include a html from different machine?

    I've tired the inculde tag, but it seem unable to inculde files from other machines...
    could anyone teach me how to do so?!
    thanks!!!

    Hi,
    I think you are using <%@include file="filename"%>. This mechanism is a bit more efficient (the inclusion is done at the time the JSP is being compiled), but is limited to including text files (the file is read, rather than being processed as an HTTP URL; so if you include, say, a CGI script, the contents of your CGI script are revealed in the JSP output: not useful!). The <jsp:include> can include a URL of any type (HTML, servlet, JSP, CGI, even PHP or ASP).
    Try with <jsp:include> to include files on the other machines.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to include an HTML help in my program

    Hello,
    I would like to show an HTML document in a Labview vi but I'm not sure if I can do it with my 5.1 version and how to do it. Could any of you help me? Thanks

    Hello,
    If you are using LabVIEW 5.1 on Windows, you can use an ActiveX container to display an HTML document on the front panel. I have attached a simple VI (saved in LabVIEW 5.1 format) that demonstrates how to do this.
    You can read the LabVIEW Help for more information about using ActiveX containers in LabVIEW.

  • How to populate a html table in a JSF page

    Hi, I need help on the following issue:
    My code calls an business layer API which returns me a string in html format which produces a html table. I have a JSF page with a bunch of other JSF components and I want to insert this html table at the bottom of this page. Is there a way to do it?

    OK
    Here is an example
    Drag an outputText component on to the Page. Check the properties of outputText and uncheck the escape property. Write this some where in the code when you want to display the HTML table on the page.
    String s = "<HTML><BODY><TABLE BORDER=2><TR><TD>No</TD><TD>Name</TD><TD>Age</TD></TR><TR><TD>1</TD><TD>John</TD><TD>30</TD></TR><TR><TD>2</TD><TD>Michael</TD><TD>20</TD></TR></TABLE></BODY></HTML>";
    outputText1.setValue(s);
    I am using the hardcoded value for String but in your case you get the string from some API.
    Hope this helps
