JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 Patch

Hi,
Does Oracle release patch to fix bugs for JDeveloper? I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3. I encountered few issues. For e.g.
Jan 17, 2013 11:39:12 AM oracle.ideimpl.index.ProjectTracker$ProjectListener invokeListener
SEVERE: Exception in FileChangeListener oracle.bpm.fusion.repository.fs.FusionFileSystem$1
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Multiple objects with component type 'xml' and id 'F|http://Svc.com/SoapSvc/|InvalidRqstFault|http://Svc.com/SoapSvc/|SoapSvc_Enrollment_InvalidRqstFault_FaultMessage' have been found on the index
at oracle.bpm.project.catalog.bundles.ComponentBundleTypeIndex.findById(ComponentBundleTypeIndex.java:69)
when I created a web service adapter to consume a web service. This works fine in JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.
Thanks.

You would need to log an SR with Oracle support https://support.oracle.com/ , needless to say you would need valid support contract with Oracle too.
Why cnt you migrate to 11.1.1.6 though since its the latest release ?

    The simple answer is that the SU4 update contains an extra jar which is not needed.
    If you go to the jdev/extensions directory and rename oracle.jdeveloper.vcs.10.1.3.jar to oracle.jdeveloper.vcs.10.1.3.jar_old, then rename oracle.jdeveloper.vcs.10.1.3.jar.backup to oracle.jdeveloper.vcs.10.1.3.jar jdev will start correctly. A bug has been logged for this, and we will correct it as soon as possible.
    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Usually rt.jar is in

  • Problems creating extension (View Object) in JDeveloper 9.0.3.5

    Note: I originally posted this on the JDeveloper forum - but I was told to post it in this forum.
    This is on Windows XP Pro SP2 with JDeveloper 9.0.3.5 - patch 6469392 (appropriate for 11.5.10.6).
    I'm trying to create an extension for a view object for the Oracle Applications Framework. I've exported the appropriate MDS repo contents to my system using export. One of the first issues I've seen is the step where I import the the business components XML file (server.xml) and I get the following warning:
    Warning: This Business Components Package was built with an earlier version of Oracle Business Components for Java. Unable to upgrade since it is readonly. oracle.apps.pos.isp.server
    I've encountered these strange "readonly" errors all along the way. When I try to create the VO itself, I notice the wizard is in readonly mode, preventing me from associating query columns with view attributes (I cannot change a view attribute for a query column for many of the query columns). Why are things in readonly mode?

    I've seen is the step where I import the the business components XML file (server.xml) and I get the following warning:
    Warning: This Business Components Package was built with an earlier version of Oracle Business Components for Java. Unable to upgrade since it is readonly. oracle.apps.pos.isp.server
    Ans : VO , EM and AM related xml files not need to import to MDS, only PG and Region related xml file need to import to MDS.

    I use JDeveloper that comes with the patch 4725670
    The project settings for Oracle applications, the dbc file, userid/password, responsibility details are correctly set.
    Data base connection is also defined.
    I tried the patch 6012619 as well. No change and the same error
    Any clues please.

  • Migration from Jdeveloper 11g r1 to 11g r2 problem

    Hi all
    I have a project initially created in Jdeveloper 11g r1
    after migrating it to Jdeveloper 11g r2 i tried to replace lookup ejb invocation to dependency injection.
    So i used @EJB annotation in my managed bean. I'm shure there could be no mistakes in the way how i used this anno, i did it many times
    it looks something like this
    @EJB(name="StatelessSessionEJBEx",beanInterface =StatelessSessionEJBEx.class, beanName = "StatelessSessionEJBEx")
    as a result it generated an exception which said that the EJB interface could not be found, though all dependencies between business and view projects are in place. After a while i figured out that the problem is it used JSF 1.2 specification instead of 2.0 so i replaced the version of JSF in managed been source code
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1251"?>
    <faces-config version="2.0" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"> ....
    but it seemed to make no effect at all.
    So are there any guesses what i did wrong
    Thanks. Alex.

    Hi,
    the server used by JDeveloper 11g R2 is a patched WLS 10.3.5 or 10.1.3.6 server (depends on teh JDeveloper version), which is not a Java EE 6 version but Java EE 5 (which explains why CDI doesn't work as expected). To read up on how to get annotated EJBs work from JSF managed beans, see http://buttso.blogspot.de/2011/03/jsf-with-managed-beans-and-dependency.html.
    The upcoming 12c release will solve all of this. My suggestion therefore is to keep on going with the web.xml reference and then replace it later with @EJB annotation references

  • OPatch and Jdeveloper

    Hi ,
    I need install patch for Jdeveloper using OPatch. Haw can i install OPatch and use it to install patch for JDeveloper ?

    Another try:
    D:\JDeveloper-11.1.2.1\Patches\13716771>opatch version
    OPatch Version: 11.1.0.9.7
    OPatch succeeded.
    D:\JDeveloper-11.1.2.1\Patches\13716771>SET MW_HOME=D:\JDeveloper-11.1.2.1
    D:\JDeveloper-11.1.2.1\Patches\13716771>set ORACLE_HOME=%MW_HOME%\oracle_common
    D:\JDeveloper-11.1.2.1\Patches\13716771>opatch lsinventory -jdk %MW_HOME%\jdk160_24
    OPatch was not able to find OUI jars to load them runtime. Please provide valid
    oui location using 'oui_loc' option.
    OPatch failed with error code = 255A Metalink note says error code 255 means wrong OPatch version, but I've tried 11 x86, 11 x64 and 12 x64 on my Windows 7 x64 with the same result.

  • OIM 11g r1 to OIM r2 migration

    hi experts,
    Could you please help me with migration of OIM 11g r1 to R2. As in what I want to know is what are the challenges are there in this process?
    Also what are the things in which should require special care while doing the same. As on internet, I can find a lot number of benefits for this migration, please help in what are the bugs/defects are there in R2 which require special care.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    KK

  • NullPointerException during export or validate of toplink map file

    Hi,
    I'm working on an Oracle/Toplink 10.1.3 project (similar to say SR Demo). I'm trying to write ant scripts
    to build and deploy everything.
    All is working except for one step. When you build the model in JDeveloper, it creates a data map XML file. E.g. in the
    SR DEmo it produces SRMap.xml from SRMap.mwp.
    There is a good document explaining the steps here...
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/toplink/doc/1013/main/_html/mw008.htm
    When I implemented these steps in the build.xml file, I get a NullPointerException during the validate or export.
    I tried implementing the steps in SR DEmo's build.xml file and seem to get the same problem. Here's what I'm doing...
    I created a new file, toplink-ant-lib.xml
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <antlib>
    <taskdef name="mappings.export" classname="oracle.toplink.workbench.ant.taskdefs.ExportDeploymentXMLTask"/>
    <taskdef name="mappings.validate" classname="oracle.toplink.workbench.ant.taskdefs.MappingsValidateTask"/>
    <taskdef name="session.validate" classname="oracle.toplink.workbench.ant.taskdefs.SessionValidateTask"/>
    <typedef name="ignoreerror" classname="oracle.toplink.workbench.ant.typedefs.IgnoreError"/>
    <typedef name="ignoreerrorset" classname="oracle.toplink.workbench.ant.typedefs.IgnoreErrorSet"/>
    <typedef name="loginspec" classname="oracle.toplink.workbench.ant.typedefs.LoginSpec"/>
    </antlib>
    I then added the following targets to build.xml in the SR Demo...
    <target name="init">
    <property file="build.properties"/>
    <property name = "toplink.mwp.dir" value = "${srdemo.home}/DataModel/toplink/SRMap"/>
    <property name = "toplink.sessions.dir" value = "${srdemo.home}/DataModel/src/META-INF"/>
    <path id = "database.classpath">
    <pathelement path = "${toplink.home}/jlib/dms.jar"/>
    <pathelement path = "${toplink.home}/jlib/OracleThinJDBC.jar"/>
    </path>
    <path id = "toplink.classpath">
    <pathelement path = "${toplink.home}/jlib/toplink.jar"/>
    <pathelement path = "${j2ee.lib}/ejb.jar"/>
    <pathelement path = "${jdeveloper.home}/lib/xmlparserv2.jar"/>
    <pathelement path = "${toplink.home}/jlib/antlr.jar"/>
    </path>
    <path id = "mw.classpath">
    <pathelement path = "${toplink.home}/jlib/tlmwcore.jar"/>
    <pathelement path = "${toplink.home}/jlib/toplinkmw.jar"/>
    </path>
    <path id = "mwplatforms.classpath">
    <pathelement path = "${toplink.home}/config"/>
    </path>
    <typedef file = "toplink-ant-lib.xml"
    classpathref = "mw.classpath"
    uri = "toplinklib" />
    </target>
    <!-- ===================================================== -->
    <!-- Define task parameter -->
    <!-- ===================================================== -->
    <target name="parameter.definition" depends="init">
    <toplink:ignoreerrorset id = "ignoreErrors">
    <toplink:ignoreerror code = "0233" />
    </toplink:ignoreerrorset>
    <toplink:loginspec id = "loginSpec"
    url = "jdbc:cloudscape:stagedb;create=true"
    driverclass = "COM.cloudscape.core.JDBCDriver"
    user = "scott"
    password="tiger" />
    </target>
    <!-- ==================================================== -->
    <!-- Validate the MW Project -->
    <!-- ===================================================== -->
    <target name="validate.project" depends="parameter.definition">
    <toplink:mappings.validate
    projectfile = "${toplink.mwp.dir}/SRMap.mwp"
    reportfile = "${toplink.mwp.dir}/problem-report.html"
    reportformat = "html"
    property = "mw-valid"
    classpathref = "mwplatforms.classpath" >
    <toplink:classpath refid = "mw.classpath" />
    <toplink:classpath refid = "toplink.classpath" />
    <toplink:ignoreerrorset refid = "ignoreErrors"/>
    </toplink:mappings.validate>
    </target>
    I've left out the actual export target as the validate seems to throw the same exception. Here's what I get when I switch on verbose

    That's using Toplink Workbench 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.0.0)
    I'm using 10.1.3 JDeveloper with the latest (SU3) patch.
    Any ideas would be apprecated!!!
    Kind regards,
    Ciaran.

    Hi Karen,
    Thanks for the response.
    So are you saying we cannot build/deploy our project outside of the JDeveloper IDE?
    What we were trying to do is to automate the build and deployment using ant scripts. Then we could run say nightly checkout/build/deploy script to a test machine as part of a continious integration process.
    We can build all the code and even remote deploy it fine using ant, however we cannot build this data map XML file outside of the JDeveloper environment. I guess a workaround would be to check-in the generated XML file into our source code control. This sounds risky to me and also, our SCC system sets non checked-out files to be read-only and JDeveloper gives an error if it cannot write to that file.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers,
    Ciaran.

  • MSCA/MWA Extension

    Hi,
    I am extending the Inbound-> Receipts -> PO in 11.5.10. The seeded page name is RcptGenPage. I would like to know how to compile this on my client machine locally using Jdeveloper.
    I have installed Jdeveloper and applied all the patches to make it work for OAF. Can anybody give me step by step details on what needs to be done to be able to compile the page locally. Here are the details of my extended page:
    Java Files :
    RcptGenFunction.java
    RcptGenPage.java
    RcptGenFListener.java
    The java pkg is xxx.oracle.apps.inv.rcv.server
    My question is where should i place all the class files that i mentioned in "import statment" in my class files. Also where should i place the above java files that I created.
    Please let me know asap. Thanks
    Gy

  • AWT-EventQueue-0 - NullPointerException

    Hello,
    did you encounter similar exception in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1?
    When I run and use our application in embedded oc4j and then return to jdeveloper I can see few nullpointer exceptions in console window.
    We are using ADF BC + ADF Faces but I think the error is related to Jdeveloper IDE.

    ok, here's the text, paste it into an empty file called jdevpatch.bat in the same directory as the unzipped files. I've just re-downloaded the patch from Oracle and the file is definately in the zip file so I'm not sure what the problem is (do you have a setting in explorer to hide files with the extension .bat?)
    remember, this text is for the 10.1.3.1 patch only!

    The following erro in the log:
    05/11/14 14:40:49 [15494] Diagnostic.printStackTrace(405) oracle.jbo.AttributeLoadException: JBO-27021: Kan waarde voor CustomDatum niet laden bij index 1 met Java-object van type oracle.jbo.domain.Number vanwege java.sql.SQLException.
    seems to be the problem. May be your EO attribute definitions do not match corrcetly with underling table column types?
    What steps do you perform in the application (first insert, then update?) before you get the error?
    Can you reproduce this in the ADF BC Tester?
