JDeveloper - Error on startup: class not found

Hi,
I have just downloaded and installed JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 with OA extensions.
When I start it, I have this error:
Severe(55,73): Addin oracle.adfdtinternal.view.faces.region.RegionAddin does not exist.
I have opened "oracle.regions.dt.10.1.3.jar" but there isn't RegionAddin.class that JDev is looking for.
Do you know where I can to find this class?
Thanks in advance.
Pier

Pier,
You are right I din't checked updated version of metalink Note 416708.1 - How to find the correct version of JDeveloper to use with
eBusiness Suite 11i or Release 12.
.You have to download patch based on this note only.

  • Compilation Error for import classes not found in generated Proxy Class

    Hi,
    We are generating java classes for the COM dll using JCOM com2java compiler.
    We are getting a compilation error for import class not found when compiling the
    generated Proxy java source code. It can't find the com.bea.jcom.Dispatch class that
    the generated Proxy java source code extends. It also can't find com.bea.jcom.Variant
    or com.bea.jcom.Param. These are interfaces or data types or classes used by COM
    library.
    I added weblogic.jar to my class path and the only Dispatch class i found inside
    the weblogic.jar is com.linar.jintegra.Dispatch;
    We have com objects for which we want to develop an EJB client to interface with
    the COM object using JCOM with Native Mode disabled.
    Any help on the compilation error..I tried changing the extends for Dispatch to com.linar.jintegra.Dispatch
    but the other errors are still there.
    To begin with, I think the generated code should not refer to any of the COM data
    types.
    Any help please.
    Thank you in advance,

    Hi,
    I resolved the other errors by changing all references from com.bea.jcom.Variant
    etc to com.linar.jintegra.class name..all were present under the com.linar.jintegra
    package.
    Thank you all anyways,

  • Error in beanshell - class not found in namespace

    We use beanshell to evaluate business rule validations on our application. Below is the calling method...
    private Object callBeanShell(final Object parameters, final String expression)
    throws EvalError {
    if (LogConstants.FINE_ENABLED) {
    logger.log(Level.FINE, "Expression: " + expression);
    beanShell.set("params", parameters);
    Object result = null;
    try {
    result = beanShell.eval(expression);
    } catch (Throwable ex) {
    getErrorHandler().fatalError("Expression: " + expression, ex);
    if (LogConstants.INFO_ENABLED) {
    logger.log(Level.INFO, "Expression: " + expression);
    logger.log(Level.INFO, "Result : " + (result == null ? "null" : result.toString()));
    return result;
    This has been working fine on the application for years, but we've suddenly started getting a problem with evaluations which are called from a SessionBean (via some reflection).
    Every time we try and call a certain set of expressions they fail on a 'class xxx not found in namespace'. This happens both when the expression contains code like:
    com.chubb.euz.SomeClass sc = new com.chubb.euz.SomeClass(); etc...
    or
    import com.chubb.euz.SomeClass; SomeClass sc = new SomeClass(); etc...
    The strange thing is that when I remote debug it & look at the bsh Interpreter what I see is that it's NameSpace object has a table called ImportedClasses on it which before the eval() call contains just bsh.Interpreter and bsh.EvalError but after the eval() it then contains all of the classes I pull in as imports in the expression passed to it, yet it still manages to throw this damn 'class not found in namespace' error!
    It still works whenever else it's called in the app (and this is only happening in our DEV environment). All I can think of now is that it's possibly something to do with the Thread that the beanshell is running on at this time, but that's just a guess as I know bugger all about Threads... I only think this because I can get the thing to work by stopping the processor which was built to run Events (EJB) generated in the app; resetting the Event's Task (regular class) to run again; then restarting the processor (not an option if this goes into PROD with the release!!!)
    Unfortunately, re-factoring the validations we need to run at this point is not really an option, as this is all coming at the tail end of a new release & the amount of code changes & subsequent regression testing required would kill us.
    This is on weblogic 8.1 - with the beanshell jar just embedded in the main application ear (I ran it with bsh.20b4.jar instead of the 1.3 version we were using but that has no effect).
    Any ideas would be more than gratefully appreciated as this is doing my head in!!!

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I am trying to reverse SAP tables. Initially the Reversal process stuck at Set MetaData step. I stopped the session and restarted it then Set MetaData completed successfully but Set FlexFields give the error.
    Any idea?

  • Startup class not found if included in a jar inside the ear

    I have written a startup class, i have packed it in a jar file(along with some
    other classes). This jar is then packed in side an ear file.(This way i get one
    single distribution file). I have added the startup class in the config.xml using

    tell weblogic about the location of the class(classpath) which is inside the ear
    file. Error i get is as follows
    <Aug 21, 2003 8:07:23 PM IST> <Emergency> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000342> <Unable
    to initialize the server: weblogic.t3. srvr.FatalStartupException: Can't start

    Shirish:
    Classes that are scoped in the application are only visible within the
    application, not to the system classloader.
    If you want to have startup classses scoped inside an EAR then you need to
    use Application lifecycle listeners to actually activate these startup
    classes. Application lifecycle listeners are a replacement for startup
    classes.
    You can check out an example of this in 8.1:
    $BEA_HOME/weblogic81/samples/server/examples/src/examples/splitdir/helloWorl
    dEar
    Docs for it are:
    $BEA_HOME\weblogic81\samples\server\examples\src\examples\splitdir\helloWorl
    dEar\javadoc\index.html
    Check out:
    $BEA_HOME\weblogic81\samples\server\examples\src\examples\splitdir\helloWorl
    dEar\META-INF\weblogic-applcation.xml
    <weblogic-application>
    <listener>
    <listener-class>examples.splitdir.hello.startup.ApplicationStartup</listener
    -class>
    </listener>
    </weblogic-application>
    and
    $BEA_HOME\weblogic81\samples\server\examples\src\examples\splitdir\helloWorl
    dEar
    /appStartup/examples/splitdir/hello/startup/ApplicationStartup.java
    Now if you have a "startup class" that needs to be accessible for the entire
    Server for a set of applications, I suggest just writing a single EAR with a
    dummy web-app (I think you may need a dummy module) and an applicaiton
    lifecycle listener, and have this EAR deploy before any other apps.
    Cheers

    public void setEmployeeData(){

    This error generally comes when the AMImpl doesn't have this method.
    You must have set AM for the page.

    I tried to solve this error by adding the ADF Runtime libraries,Web Runtime libraries etc but my try was a failure.
    Im working in a team so i deleted my project and got a new project from the svn.Even then i was unable to slove the error.
    Help me out guys,Its a bit urgent.

    Thanks Shay for your reply.And sorry for this late reply from my side.
    All these days i was in the process of downloading the patches and trying to apply those patches for the Application server(Weblogic server.)
    The issue now is that,You misunderstood my version to be 11.1.2.2,but i am using the Jdev 11.1.2.1.0.Sorry for not clearly mentioning the Version for you.I apologize for that.
    Now i got patches for 11.1.2.1 and 11.1.2.2 and the problem is,i was unable to apply those patches to my Weblogic server.
    Its throwing an error of
    "Opatch was unable to find the OUI jars to load them runtime, please provide valid oui location using 'oui_loc' option."
    Its not finding the OUI jars that should be present in my C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3 folder.The thing is the Weblogic server that has come with the Jdev 11.1.2.1 is 10.3.5.
    Ill explain what i did.
    I downloaded the Patches for Jdev 11.1.2.1 that is the Sherman Update 1[Patch no's 12917525,12979653],and also the Opatch tool(11.1.0.8).
    1.We set the "Oracle home",OPatch path.
    And trying to execute the 'opatch apply -jre [path of the jre]' from Patch folder .We are getting the above mentioned error.
    Please hep me out.

    Something to note, you must have superuser priveleges to run ibconf.
    Check out this document about installing a PCI-GPIB on a Solaris machine. There is a section in it on page 9 about configuring the software with ibconf.

I was hoping that someone from SAP SDN already tackled this problem and if not someone specialized in J2EE Engine could troubleshoot me from the class problem I'm getting. I don't know if it's specific from the agent or if this ClassNotFound is a general SAP J2EE Engine error relating to a library not correclty defined.
    Kind regards,

    Hi,
    we've just upgraded to 11.5.10 CU2 and I have downloaded new jdeveloper (4573517). On tryinmg to rebuild Tutorial.jpr I get compilation error "Initialization error. File java\lang\Object.class not found on classpath". JDEV_USER_HOME is set correctly to C:\OAJDEV11510\jdevhome\jdev and appears to be picked up in classpath settings below.
    Full compilation error below:

    RT.JAR Files as mentioned in the Error log is not in the Directory ( you can verify)
    Usually rt.jar is in
    jdevbin\jdk\jre\lib.. Check the JDEV_USER_HOME variable and also the Libraries under Project Setting of JDEV , when you click on any specific lib it show you a path in the class path section..verify the same.
    Thanks,

  • Optional Package class reference at server startup...gives class not found

    I have a enterprise app having a webservice..the webservice (servlet) gets instantiated on server startup…It has reference of a class which is an optional package
    All the manifest entries are correctly added to the ear..manifest.mf..
    When the servlet is initialized at startup.. gives me a class not found error…
    However, the app works fine..this is just a one time error(whenever the app is deployed fresh..)..
    Any help would be appreciated

  • For weeks I have been viewing a doggy day care via their web cam.  This weekend I upgraded to Lion and have been unable to view the center since.  I get an error message for java webcam class not found.  All of my software is up to date--suggestions?

    For weeks I have been viewing a doggy day care center via their web cam.  This weekend I upgraded to Lion and have been unable to view the center.  I get an error message for Java plug-in 1.6.0_29 ....webcam class not found.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Sorry, don't know what else to suggest unless there's a URL to the problem stream that someone here can try. Otherwise we can't test it to try and determine what might be wrong.
    BTW, make sure they're testing it with a Mac, not with a Windows system. If they test only with Windows, what they say is or is not working doesn't mean much.

  • Will generics implementation eliminate runtime casting?

    Before generics, one must explicitly cast when pulling out of an iterator. For example: List l = ... for(Iterator i = l.iterator(); i.hasNext();) { doSomethingWithInteger((Integer)l.next()); Now with generics, we won't have to explicitly cast the ret
