JDeveloper Release 2 - Internal Weblogic Server

Does anyone know what the this error meassege means;
Error: mds-configuration-hook in namespace http://xmlns.oracle.com/ide/extension/mds is not a recognized hook.
All I did was install a new JDeveloper, migrated an old app in to the new JDeveloper Release 2 version, added a data source to the internal weblogic server, compiled (project compiled no problem) and went to run the app on the internal server and got this error.
To my knowledge I did not add any extensions, I'm not sure where the extension.xml file is and I can not edit out the offending mds-configuration-hook tags in the extentsion.xml file that appears in the project area of JDeveloper when I click on the error ????
Is there any clue as to what is going on?
Thanks,
Larry

John, First of all, Thank you for your quick response... I appreciate it very much! But (I'm sure you saw the but coming) I'd love to ignore it... I'm good at ignoring problems... however that error will not let my JDeveloper run the application... how do I get JDev to ignore it? Thank you...

  • How can i build application using Jdeveloper 10g for Weblogic server 10.3

    Hi,
We have a requirement where in we want to build an SOA application using Jdeveloper 10g for Weblogic Server 10.3.
Is there any way to make a connection to Weblogic Server 10.3 from JDeveloper 10g? If there is any way please share it with me.
    Thanks,
    Amit Kumar

    Amit,
SOA Suite is not yet certified for WLS 10.3. You have to wait for the certification of it.
At the moment you can't install the SOA Suite on WLS 10.3 nor connect from JDev 10.1.3 to it.

  • Cannot access deployed JDeveloper App in Weblogic Server

I have built and successfully deployed an Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0 web application using ADF security to a clustered (two servers) Weblogic 10.3.5.0 server. The login page comes up when I type in the URL but upon submitting the login page I get the following error:
Dec 3, 2012 10:35:47 AM MST     ServletContext-/ContractRateAdjustmentWebAppView     Info     BEA-000000     JspServlet error: Servlet unable to dispatch to the following requested page: The following exception occurred:java.io.FileNotFoundException: /index.jsp
The is no index.jsp page in my application. Why is this page being looked for?

    Thank you for the reply.
But Just I wnt to know some stuff related to ant command...
As this is my first deployment in weblogic 8.1.
This is what i have done...
1> Created a folder "ifejbproc" in...
    D:\bea\weblogic81\samples\server\examples\src\examples\ejb20
2> And I copied following files to "ifejbproc" folder
    application.xml
    ejb-jar.xml
    weblogic-ejb-jar.xml
build.xml <I created it as you seen in the previous msg>
com <Folder that consists of java class files>
3>Then I ran the setExamplesEnv.cmd in command prompt located in,
    D:\bea\weblogic81\samples\domains\examples
4>Then I changed the cmd path to,
    CD D:\bea\weblogic81\samples\server\examples\src\examples\ejb20\ifejbproc
5> Then I ran the ant command.
When i ran this command It created a ifejbproc.jar file but it did not included the java class files the ifejbproc.jar file.
Is any thing I need to do with the build.xml
Note: I commented the compile tag in build.xml
    Waiting for your reply.

If you can, the best way would be to to change the column name from SUBTYPE to something that isn't a SQL reserved key word.
You might get around this particular problem by adding @Column(name = "\"SUBTYPE\"") on your attribute. This will force eclipselink to add quotation marks in the generated SLQ, but I think it will cause problems when it comes to some more complicated queries.
In my opinion, the only safe way here is to not use column names that are in conflict with SLQ reserved key words.

  • WebLogic Server Tools 1.1.3 Released

A service release for WebLogic Server Tools is now available. The focus
of this release was to fix several remaining issues affecting current
users and to certify WLS Tools on Eclipse Europa SP2 that was released
at the end of February. We recommend that all current users migrate to
this release by using the Eclipse update manager. More information
about this release can be found in the release notes.

The Eclipse 3.4 "Ganymede" version of WebLogic Server Tools has also
been updated. Version 2.0.2 is now available and has been tested with
Ganymede M5 milestone build. Of course, since Ganymede platform is still
under development we don't recommend this version for most users, but
early adopters with tolerance for pre-release stability can get a sneak
peak of what's coming in the next Eclipse release.

Team Lead for WebLogic Server Tools

WebLogic Server Tools is built on Eclipse Web Tools Platform which has a
particular project structure that has to be followed. Basically, you
create an EAR project. This contains your app-level descriptors,
APP-INF/lib and any binary modules. Then, for every module in an EAR,
you create a separate project. For web module, use the Dynamic Web
Project. For EJB modules, there is an EJB project. The projects are
wired up using the "J2EE Module Dependencies" project properties page.
Use this page on the EAR project to specify which module projects should
be included in the EAR. Once you've done that, you can use this page in
the module projects to specify inter-module dependencies.
Basically, you have to take your app and convert it into the form that
Eclipse can understand. The easiest way to do that is to create the
projects based on the module structure of your app and then copy content
from your application into those projects. Once you are done, you will
be able to use WebLogic Server Tools to deploy to WLS. The split
directory magic will happen behind the scenes to give you a fast
    iterative development experience.
    Hope this answers your questions.

  • Error when deploying ADF application to new WebLogic Server

    Hello,
My java-free workplace is getting into ADF development. We've purchased Fusion Applications but don't have the hardware or software yet. I am trying to get a development machine set up ASAP so I can play around with ADF and later SOA Suite.
I have never dealt with WebLogic Server before. I have just taken some training on ADF and SOA Suite and want to play around with what I've learned quickly, as it will be a while until we get our real environment set up and I don't want to forget anything. During the training the environment was already set up for us, so everything just worked. So at this point, I'm fine having everything entirely localized to this machine for the sake of playing around.
I've taken a brand new VM image of a 32-bit Win7 machine and installed:
    -Python
    -jDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0
-Oracle Database Express (for the sake of having some data to play around with)
    -WLS 10.3
-ADF for Oracle Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.7
With WLS, I created a new domain and gave it some credentials.
I can create a ADF application, make connections to my db tables, and build the business components I need based on them. I've created a simple jsf page with the word "test" as my default page.
Then I go to deploy. It can find the WLS domain fine, builds the WAR, but always fails when trying to deploy it and then start it. My error, which I've googled for hours and cannot find a solution to (because of my little understanding of WLS) is:
    *Unresolved Webapp Library references for "ServletContext@29372801[app:webapp module:webapp.war path:/TorDemoApplication-DemoUI-context-root spec-version:2.5]", defined in weblogic.xml [Extension-Name: adf.oracle.domain.webapp, exact-match: false]*_
Is there a common step I am missing?
    Thanks
    Tor

Tor, you didn't miss a step but you used the wrong turn in the middle.
JDev version are tidily coupled to wls versions. Read my blog http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/09/14/jdeveloper-versions-vs-weblogic-server-versions/ to get more info on that. So the first decision to take is if you want to use SOA, BPMN and stuff like that, then use JDev 11.1.1.7.0 or if you like to use JSF2.0 and faclets withotu SOA, then use JDev 11.1.2.3.0.
As you said you are working with SOA later on 11.1.1.7.0 is the right version for you. WebLogic server 10.3.6 with the right adf runtime installed and there should be no problem.

  • Unable to start the weblogic server from windows environment

    Hi All,
In our training system we have installed the SOA 11g and it worked fine till today afternoon. We have logged off the admin user in windows account and logged with our login credentials into windows after that we are unable to start the weblogic server.
    - Earlier in the DOS command prompt we used to navigate to the path where the startWeblogic.cmd file located and then we execute the command, after that we will able to see the status message as RUNNING MODE in the bottom of the screen, and when ever we deploy an project using Jdeveloper in the weblogic server window some messages will appended based on the action.
    - Only when we issue the command to shut down the weblogic server at that time only the command will be back to the path from where we started the server.
    - After login to windows with our account, when we tried to start the weblogic server, it didn't throw any error instead of that after running few lines in the command window the prompt was back in to the (D:\Middleware\.....\Domains\bin)path from where we ran the command to start the server.
Please help us to resolve the issue asap.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sathyaseelan

    Hi,
Make sure that the user which you are using to start weblogic server should be part of Administrator group or the group to which your admin user belongs to.

  • Error when using Project Gantt Chart in Production Weblogic Server 10.3.5

    Dear All,
I have an application utilizing <dvt:projectGantt> Project Gantt Chart. I have tested it in intergrated weblogic server and it is working correctly but when I deploy it in Production Weblogic server, error occurred with NullPointerException on the ViewObjImpl -- class not found exception. I have look into each library used in the ADF runtime on the production server, all the library used are installed and deploy to each server target.
    Below is the log:

I really am in need of assistance on these matter. I have read several article on the web about clearing cache on weblogic server, bundling the required ADF library with application and not mixing JDeveloper version with Weblogic server version, but it still not working in production weblogic.

    Dear Arun,
The WLS server is the same for (integrated WLS and Production) . For JRF template I'm sure it is the same. I have deploy another application that used BC, and it work fine in production.

    Hey,
we have a problem with the new release of WebLogic Server 8.1 SP2.
For a while everything is going fine but after a few hours the server
    is too busy
to process the requests. During the analyzing of weblogic parameters
    we found
in the monitoring that the number of daemon threads is really high.
We have set the thread count for processing the requests to 30 and in
    some cases
we have a queue length about 100. The daemon threads were counted with
    over 450?
For what are the daemon threads used?
Is it necessary to have so many?
Another thing was that the JVM (JRockit) Processor Load was very high
    often up
to 100 percent, but the All processors avarage load is under 50 percent.
    Is there
a possibility to change this settings.
Must I increase the thread count?
    Bye

  • Jdev 11.1.2 and weblogic server 10.3.3

    Hi,
I have ADF application developed using jdeveloper 11.1.1.3 and it works great.
I compiled the same ADF application using jdeveloper 11.1.2 and it works great too in embedded weblogic server.
I successfully deployed the test.ear file in weblogic 10.3.3.
When I try to "activate changes", I get the below error
weblogic.management.DeploymentException: [Deployer:149003]Unable to access application source information in '/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/adfappWLS/servers/adfServer/stage/test/test.ear' for application 'test'. The specific error is: [Deployer:149158]No application files exist at '/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/adfappWLS/servers/adfServer/stage/test/test.ear'..
Errors were encountered while performing this operation.
    Any thoughts on this please?
    Thanks

  • ADF Application Runtime issue in StandAlone Weblogic Server

    Hi All,
I tried deploying my ADF Mobile Browser Application in a StandAlone Weblogic Server. The application was targeted to Admin Server and everything worked fine.
But when Targeted to Managed Server the login page alone was rendered (without CSS). Tried loging in with correct as well as wrong passwords but there was no response from the page. (Login button acted like a dummy one)
Even the managed server log had no error messages.
DataSource where configured correctly and targeted both to Admin n Managed Server.
I tried deploying the same in Client's Testing Environment and the same problem occured even in Admin Server.
I couldnt figure out wats the issue.
    PS:
    Weblogic Server Version : 10.3.6
    ADF Runtime:11.1.1.6
    JDeveloper Version : 11.1.2.1
The App Contains ADF Authentication Security. Will that cause any issue?
    Two Cents
    Karthick

Your jdev version and the adf runtime on the wls have to match. Check http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/09/14/jdeveloper-versions-vs-weblogic-server-versions/ for a list of matching versions.
