    As a note, running with no anti-virus software is a very bad choice. I would try installing Microsoft security Essentials, [http://microsoft.com/security_essentials http://microsoft.com/security_essentials] to stay safe with a free but light weight anti-virus.

  • Adobe Flash Player 32-bit/64-bit ActiveX 12.0.0.38 for IE - failing to install (via SCCM/SCUP)

    Hi, I've been using SCCM/SCUP to update Adobe Flash for some now, and it's been working great. Much better than pervious custom scripting methods. However, the most recent version for IE, 12.0.0.38, isn't installing properly on some machines in my workplace (all windows 7 sp1 32-bit), and I can't figure out why. I can't see any pattern witht the machines that have the error.
    The FlashInstall.log looks fine, no errors at all. And "Programs & Features" shows that version installed. However, SCCM keeps trying to reinstall and gives this error message: Installation job encountered some failures. Error = 0x80240022. I've read up on this message from previous flash versions, these seem to relate to different issues.
    The few machines with Firefox have all successfully installed that version, which I notice for the first time I can remember, is a slightly different version number? Adobe Flash Player 32-bit/64-bit Plugin 12.0.0.43.
    Has anyone else seen, this issue with 12.0.0.38 for IE, and have any ideas? Thanks

    May be related to issues with logic in detection which Adobe is investigating.

    Any advice on how to download the free version of the Adobe Flash Player onto a Windows XP (year 2002) with 3.19 GHz compatibility computer?
    Plus, what version of Adobe Flash Player should I use since my computer is timing out via Internet Explorer.

  • Why didn't Adobe Flash Player show up as a plugin in the Firefox add on manager after I installed it?

    I installed Adobe Flash Player when it was declared missing by a video. It does not show up in the Firefox Add On Manager. How can I fix this?

    It doesn't display in your system details on the support forum either.
    Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
    You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
    * [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx Microsoft Safety Scanner]
    * [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware]
    * [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility]
    * [http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro/ Hitman Pro]
    * [http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ ESET Online Scanner]
    [http://windows.microsoft.com/MSE Microsoft Security Essentials] is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
    Further information can be found in the [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]] article.
    Did this fix your problems? Please report back soon.

  • Adobe Flash Player Plugin MSI is a version behind

    Hi ,
    Lately I have been noticing that the MSI pack for the Adobe Flash Player Plugin is a version or 2 behind.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/players/flash-player-distribution.html
    The .exe file is up to date but the MSI is still at 11.5.502.146 when it should be at 11.6.602.168. Does anyone one know what the issue might be?
    Thanks, Appreciated.

    Hi Joshua,
    The MSI pack contains the latest version and are posted here for downloading: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html.  Can you post the URL you are using to download the MSI pack that is several versions behind?
    Thank you.

  • '07 macbook pro with Lion.  I cannot install Adobe Flash Player.  Tried uninstalling old version - didn't help.  I'm a novice and stuck.  Help.

    Cannot figure out why I can't install Flash Player update.  Even tried uninstalling old version - as Adobe site seemed to suggest, but now have no Flash Player.
    I'm not really computer savy but am frustrated since everywhere I go on web uses Flash Player.  Any ideas, suggestion?  Please help.

    Feel sooo dumb.  Found my error with confidence of your instruction and link.  At 'quit' or 'install' box didn't realize need to check box so obviously didn't install.  This time accidentally hovered over darkened 'install' button so instructions lit up - voila!  Thanks for your help.  I'm back in business.

  • I continuously get a Firefox pop-up saying that there are missing plug-ins. This seems to be the Adobe Flash Player and the installation fails when I click on the button. I've installed it manually but Firefox still gives the pop-up. Very frustrating.

  • I installed adobe flash player, but when I try to watch a video it says I need to install it.

    Does anyone know what might be wrong?

    It's not talking about a Flash Drive. It's talking about Flash Player. The iPad does not support Flash.
    Try using an IPad browser which provides some support for Flash, e.g., Puffin or iSwifter. See the App Store.

  • Having problems with adobe flash player..what do i do!! mouse isn't working.. just installed lion

    having problems with adobe flash player mouse wont work with it?

    I believe that it is not Adobe or Flash Player doing this, but so far none of the other users who made similar complaints have posted a screenshot.

  • Adobe flash player 10.3 is installed but doesn't appear in plug-ins:what else do I need to do to play videos?

    Until a few months ago I was able to play videos in e-mails on my desktop computer, running on windows XP, through Verizon FIOS. Then I kept getting the message that I needed Adobe Flash Player 9.0. I have downloaded the latest version, Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.1, several times, getting the message from Adobe that I am now running that program. However, when I try to play a video, I still get the message that the the plug-in isn't installed, and the table of plug-ins doesn't include Adobe Flash Player. Is there something else that must be done to make the (presumably) installed program active? If so, what is it?

    Sorry, Firefox 4 is not compatible with Flash for Android.
    We're starting work to possibly support Flash for Android in a future version of Firefox. For details, see: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Fennec/Features/Plugins
