JMS Queue User

Hi,
I am trying to configure an IDOC -> PI -> JMS (Party for JMS) and also JMS -> PI -> IDOC scenario.
We will be installing certificates while communicating between JMS and PI.
While configuring JMS sender/ receiver channel, there is a section to enter JMS Queue User and Password
Now since we are using certificates what should I mention in the the above section (user)? Someone told me that I should be using the Certificate Name in the JMS Queue User section. Is it correct? Or should I ask for a specific user-name and password.
Thank you,
Pankaj.

Hi,
Actually in present landscape, the client-system is communicating with external system using JMS (a JAVA application is used instead of PI) and they are using Digital certificates. Now when PI will replace the JAVA application, they are going to replicate the same setting in PI (certificates and others).
Hence, when I asked for JMS Queue User and Password, the client team member mentioned to use the digital certificate name.
SonicMQ and Weblogic is used.
Thank you,
Pankaj.

  • How to create JMS Queue in soa 11g?do we need to create jmsuser user in db

    Hi All,
We r using SOA 11.1.1.3 version do we get jmsuser user while installing itself. we r unable to see this user. Can anyone suggest how to create a JMS queue in soa 11g.
    Thanks,
    RR

    Hi,
Oracle SOA runs over weblogic application server 10.3.3
If you want to create a JMS queue, then you have to create it on weblogic server. For creating a JMS queue, first of all create a JMS server on weblogic admin console (by default http://localhost:7001/console) (Services --> Messaging --> JMS Servers) and target it to a server/cluster as desired. Now create a JMS module (Services --> Messaging --> JMS Modules) and target it to same server/cluster.
Now create a sub-deployment in JMS Module (Services --> Messaging --> JMS Modules --> Your JMS Module --> Subdeployments tab) and select the JMS server you created initially as a target of this subdeployment.
Now create a connection factory in that JMS module and in advanced targetting select the subdeployment you created. Now create a JMS queue in the same JMS module and in subdeployment select the subdeployment you created.
If you want to access this queue from an application then JMS URL should be like -
    jms://hostname:port/connFactoryJNDIName/QueueJNDIName

    Hi Everybody,
I am facing a problem while i am trying to create a JMS Queue XML data server in ODI 11g. I have

I have sussefully created an jms datasouce in weblogic name 'eis/jms/abc' and also I have successfully

  • B2B 11g - Managing File name from a JMS queue.

    Hi,
I have configured a Listening Channel to use Generic File 1.0 (to poll a file from local dir) and send it to a Trading Partner. In B2B User Guide it has been said to have the file name as %TO_PARTY%_%DOCTYPE_NAME%_%DOCTYPE_REVISION%_%MESSAGE_ID%_TIMESTAMP.txt. Extension can be anything (txt, dat, etc).
It is necessary to have this format? What if I want to send a file with name say ABC.txt*.
How will I manage this file name pattern if I have to read the file content from a JMS queue (and then send the file to the Trading Partner).
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

    Hi Anuj,
I set up AS2 in my local environment and tested it. I do not get the desired name of the file. The wire message seems to be ok. Following is the Tranport Header present in the wire message from the sender B2B server:
    Message-ID=<ID:<172014.1291742389684.0>@kg_certificate> Content-Transfer-Encoding=binary MIME-version=1.0 From=kg_certificate Disposition-Notification-To=[email protected] AS2-To=exel_certificate User-Agent=AS2 Server Date=Tue, 07 Dec 2010 17:19:50 GMT AS2-Version=1.1 AS2-From=kg_certificate Content-Disposition=attachment; filename=J7Q9A7.txt Content-Type=*application/octet-stream*
Following is the Transport Header present in the wire message from the receiver B2B server:
    AS2-To=exel_certificate TE=trailers, deflate, gzip, compress Date=Tue, 07 Dec 2010 17:19:50 GMT AS2-Version=1.1 Accept-Encoding=gzip, x-gzip, compress, x-compress AS2-From=kg_certificate Content-Transfer-Encoding=binary Disposition-Notification-To=[email protected] Message-ID=<ID:<172014.1291742389684.0>@kg_certificate> Content-type=application/octet-stream MSG_RECEIVED_TIME=Tue Dec 07 12:20:39 EST 2010 ECID-Context=1.0000In1qASoEoI05nzp2iZ1Cxam9001KGU;kXCmv0 MIME-version=1.0 User-Agent=AS2 Server Oracle HTTPClient Version 10h Content-Disposition=attachment; filename=J7Q9A7.txt Content-Length=211 Host=10.32.200.207:8001 Connection=Keep-Alive, TE From=kg_certificate
Things look good here but when the file is written to a directory the file name is of the form <sendername>_<doctypename>_<docrevision>_<msgtype>_*****.dat. I do not get the desired file name (J7Q9A7.txt). What am I missing?

  • Using JNDI Provider for Oracle JMS Queue

    Hello,
I created a JMS Queue in Oracle 9.2.0.1 and would like
a Java client to receive events from the Queue. I am
not running Oracle9iAS. I have access to WebLogic server
7.0 which is also a JNDI provider. Is there a sample code
that shows the steps on how to go about this.
thanks very much for any pointers.

To define an Enterprise Message Source for AS JMS and OJMS in BAM, see Chapter 3 in the BAM Architect's User Guide.
Specifying Settings for Oracle (AS JMS and OJMS)
Settings for Oracle (AS JMS and OJMS) include:
    ■ Initial Context Factory.
    For 10.1.3: oracle.j2ee.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory
    For 10.1.2: com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory
    ■ JNDI Service Provider URL. For standalone use oc4j: ormi://machine_name/
where machine_name is the OC4J installed host, and for production use Application Server: opmn:ormi://<machine_name>:<opmn request port>:home where machine_name is the application server installed host, opmn request port could be found from looking at opmn.xml in <App server install location>/opmn/conf
    ■ TopicConnectionFactory Name.
    java:comp/resource/BAMTTT/TopicConnectionFactories/bam_ttq_tab
    ■ Topic Name. java:comp/resource/BAMTTT/Topics/bam_ttq
    ■ JMS Message Type. TextMessage.
    ■ Durable Subscriber Name. BAMFilteredSubscription
    ■ Message Selector. Message selector, for example, BAMFilter='true'
    ■ Client ID. ClientID

  • JMS queue question

    Hi all,
I am using Weblogic Application Server and say I have 1000 messages in a JMS Queue say "Q1".
Q1. How are these messages picked up from the queues? i.e. by a thread etc.
Q2. If they are picked up by threads then who configures these threads? Are they default threads created by the Weblogic Application Server or are user-created threads?
Q3. Also, if 20 threads are involved in picking the messages from the queue and of them one thread snaps while picking the message then what will happen? and what will be the solution??
    Thanks.

    Q1/Q2*:
The answer to your question is "its provider specific".
You will need someone who explicitly works on weblogic to provide specifics so you may want to utilize a weblogic specific forum instead of a generic JMS forum
I'll try to answer this in very generic terms that should apply to all providers:
If you are receiving messages with an MDB: there is a thread pool associated with the resource adapter which plugs the JMS provider into the server. This is generally configured as part of the application server configuration. That pool dictates the maximum number of threads which can call the same MDB's at the same time.
If you are receiving messages with a Servlet: In this case, you are probably calling receive within the servlet. That will use the thread provide by the webstack which is executing the servlet
If you are receiving messages in an AppClient or Standalone provider: You are using your own thread if you call receive(), or a thread provided by the provider if you are calling onMessage()
In all cases, the provider may be allocating additional threads "beneath the covers" to process those messages.
    Q3*:
I'm not quite sure what snaps means. Threads run until they exit. I'm going to guess that the question is "what if the MDB or code throws a RuntimeException". If you mean something different, please supply a more specific description of the error.
This one depends on what whether or not you are using transactions and how you are receiving those messages.
If you are using transactions in an MDB: the transaction will rollback and the message will be redelivered to another consumer.
In all other cases, it depends on the specifics (I was going to list them but it seems like to much work for a Friday afternoon).
If you are using a non-transacted or non-MDB method to retrieve the messages, let me know and I can tell you how, per the JMS and J2EE specs, it should work. I'll need to know acknowledge mode/transaction, type of client and if you are calling receive() or onMessage().

  • Authentication problem w MDB on WL8.1 and JMS Queue on WL6.1

              Hi,
I'm having problems with a MessageDrivenBean that is deployed on a Weblogic 8.1
server. It listens to a JMS Queue on a Weblogic 6.1 server.
I'm getting the following error message upon deployment:
[java.lang.SecurityException: Authentication for user system denied in realm wl_realm
I've made sure that both servers are installed with the user "system" and a password
              of "password".
This worked fine for two WL6.1 servers.

We are facing a similar issue, between MDB's and JMS Queues on 2 separated WebLogic
8.1 domains. What I will test next week are:
              1. In the domain where my MDB's are deployed, configure Foreign JMS Servers/Connection
Factories/Queues, for which passwords can be specified (not possible in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml)
              2. If No.1 does not work, I will add CredentialGenerated="false" in <SecurityConfiguration>
              in config.xml in both domains
              3. If No. 2 still does not work, I will specify run-as principal and security-role
in my MDB DD files, and specify CredentialMapping via the WebLogic admin console.
Maybe you can try the same?

  • Creating XML string to be pushed into a JMS queue

    Hello All
I am trying to pass the following XML string into a sender obj, however, I am not sure how it is supposed to be done, with the right escape sequencing.
    message.setText("<rawData><Name="Mike"></Name><Value="200"></rawData>");
    Please guide me.
    Thanks,
    AJ

Login User should have the Admin privilege, Otherwise it is not possible to post data manually into the JMS Queue.
Log into weblogic Console > click on JMS Module > <select the JMSModule where the Queue resides : e.g SOAJMSModule> >Select the Queue > Monitoring > Check the Box > click on "Show Message" > New > Post the data in "Body" section.
Or, you can create another BS in OSB, pointing to that JMS Queue(using Input.xsd) . then execute the BS using your Input.xml

  • Connect from Weblogic JMS queue to SAP WAS JMS queue

    Hi,
I am trying to setup a WLS 8.1 messaging bridge between a weblogic JMS queue and a SAP WAS JMS queue. I have configured a queue on both Weblogic and SAP WAS and I have set up the messaging bridge and bridge destintations in weblogic. However when weblogic tries to get the SAP initial context factory it fails with the error below.
I have added the SAP Client jars to the weblogic system classpath, and in the weblogic startup script but it still fails. Has anyone connected from an external JMS queue to a SAP WAS JMS queue that could provide me with some guidence?

    Stoyan,
    Thanks for that.
My problem ended up being a classpath problem. I referenced the directory of the SAP jars in the weblogic start up script. When I changed this to reference each jar individually it worked.
I have a new issue now which may have something to do with security. The trace suggests it is logging on as the guest user, even though I entered my username and password in the Messaging bridge.

  • Use ODI with JMS Queue

I'm new user in ODI and also JMS. I successfuly use odi to integrate data from two oracle database applications. I'm trying to integrate applications using JMS Queues (or Topics) and I failed to create odi "data server" for this technology. Can someone help me to do this or give me a sample to follow it?
    thanks.

    Hi there,
You can actually create 2 different types of connections to a JMS Queue or Topic. Flat or XML. The simplest to start with is flat. This will basically cause ODI to view the contents of the queue as simple flat file data. Note, this is a bit advanced use of ODI, so I would perhaps go through connecting to an RDBMS first before walking through this. It will make more sense.
To set this up, you will need to:
    1. Copy the necessary client files from OC4J, place them in the <ODI_HOME>/oracledi/drivers directory and restart ODI. The files you need are:
    - <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/oc4jclient.jar
    - <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/lib/javax77.jar
    - <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/lib/jta.jar
Sop copy those files and restart ODI.
    2. Create a physical connection (Topology Application/Physical Architecture/Technologies -> right click JMS Queues and select "Insert Data Server")
    3. In the Description tab, simpl fill in the Name field.
    4. In the JNDI tab , fille in the following:
    - JNDI Authentication - Simple
    - JNDI User: application user - this is the equivalent of javax.naming.Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL
    - Password: application password - this is the equivalent of javax.naming.Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS
    - JNDI Driver: This is the equivalent of javax.naming.Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, so enter com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory
    - JNDI Url: This is the equivalent of javax.naming.Context.PROVIDER_URL, so put in ormi://<hostname>[:<port>]/<application>. For instance, with the basic OC4J install, I put in ormi://localhost/default.
    - JNDI Resource: This is the JNDI lookup key for your Queue Connection factory. For example, for the default OC4J installation, I put in jms/QueueConnectionFactory
    5. Click the Test button and click OK in the window that pops up. You should get a message box saying that your connection was successful.
    6. Click Apply or OK and a new window will pop up. In this window, go to the Context tab and click the Add button and in the row that appears, click on the right most field (it says <Undefined> and replace <undefined> with a logical name for your connection. Hit Enter and click OK)
    7. You've now connected to the Queue, to create the Queue object in ODI, go to the Designer window, go to models and create a new model.
    8. Set the name to whatever makes sense to you. Set the technology to JMS Queue and the Logical Schema to the logical connection name you created in step 6. In the Reverse tab, select Global from the Context dropdown menu.
    9. Click OK. You now have a container for any Queues that are in this connection.
    10. To point to the queue, right click your new model and select Insert Datastore.
    11. In the new window, name your datastore whatever you'd like. Set the resource name to the JNDI resource name for the queue (for example, with the default OC4J configuration, you could set this to jms/demoQueue.
    12. In the Files tab, set the File Format to fixed, and set the record separator to Windows or Unix (it doesn't really matter which one you pick)
    13. In the Columns tab, click the add button to add a column. Name the column something like DATA and set is to a String of size 1000.
    14. Click OK. You'll now be able to right click this new datastore and view data, granted in a very simple format. You can create a more complex flat file structure if you' like but this gives you a quick and easy to view the contents of the queue.
I'd suggest trying to connect this way, post if you were successful and I will then post how to connect to an XML structured queue (it's a little teenie bit different)
