JMS Request - Response Correlation Not Working

Hello Experts -
I am new to OAG and hence seek your expert advice. Following is our use-case scenario:
1. OAG needs to push a sample XML Message to Weblogic Request JMS Queue. In the Request tab of "Routing to Messaging System filter" I set the CorrelationId
2. In the response tab wait for a timeout (I set to 600000 secs)
3. Retrieve Response from the Weblogic Response Queue
4. Send the Response back to the client
When i invoke the OAG policy, I am able to post the message to the Request Queue. For my testing purpose, I manually get the correlation id from the request message in the request queue and then populate the same in the response message correlation id field and post the same to the response queue.
Unfortunately I am not able to see the response back. Below is the log.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Dibya

Hi Michael,
I think the adapter type is for the receiver channel looking at the documentation SAP Library - SAP Exchange Infrastructure
Have you checked your receiver channel doesn't belong to a party?
I havent tried this bridge with the http_aae but looks to be problematic according with Michal comment here http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2014/01/28/generic-pi-async-sync-bridge-configuration-for-any-adapters#comment-454463

  • Sender adapter request response bean not working for calling a webservice

    Hi All,
    In PI 7.31, My scenario :  SOAP sender Asynch-> PI -> HTTP Receiver Sync ->take response to call another webservice  (SOAP)
    I have configured request response bean and response one way bean in the sender adapter to make this work.
    Attached the screenshot of the module config in  the sender soap adapter. The final response from HTTP has to be used to call another webservice (not sender webservice)
    This giving an error "couldn't retrieve binding values for sender to receiver etc etc ----------"
    Has anyone configured response one way bean to call a webservice to submit? If so, please share the configuration details. And let me know if I am doing anything wrong
    thx

  • HTTP request/response object not thread safe.

    According to the serlvet spec. Http Request/Response
    are not thread safe. Quoting from the Spec:
    " Implementations of the request and response objects are not guaranteed to be thread safe. This means that they should only be used within the scope of the request handling thread. References to the request and response objects must not be given to objects executing in other threads as the resulting behavior may be nondeterministic."
    This has prompt me to ask the following question.
    For Example I have a servlet which does the following
    request.setAttribute("myVar","Hello");
    The request and response is dispatched(using RequestDispatch.include(request,response)) to another
    servlet which retrieve this attribute i.e request.getAttribute("myVar");
    Is this safe?
    The Spec only said "The Container Provider must ensure that the dispatch of the request to a target
    servlet occurs in the same thread of the same VM as the original request." I take this meaning that the targeting servlet does not have to run in the same thread(only dispatch), otherwise it would be safe.

    To put it another way, you can only have onle thing working on a request at a time. For instance, the ServletContext is available to all servlets running on a server. If you tried to save a particular request to the ServletContext, it would potentially be available to many concurrently running servlets. They could all change whatever in it at the same time. Each servlet is in its own running thread. Hope that helps some.

  • JMS Request/Response example

    Hi
    I am trying to implement a JMS Request/Response example on glassfish, but i am not getting the correct behaviour.
    My code is below. I am sending a message to a queue and adding the setJMSReplyTo another queue. I call the recv.receive(10000); and wait for the messages to be received. But this call blocks the current thread and the MDB that i orginally sent the message to only gets executed after the recv.receive(10000); has timed out after 10 seconds.
    Can someone confirm that my code is correct or am i doing something wrong?
    Connection connection = null;
    Session session = null;
    String text = "hello";
    try {
    System.out.println("Sending " + text);
    connection = searchDestFactory.createConnection();
    session = connection.createSession(false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
    MessageProducer messageProducer = session.createProducer(searchDest);
    TextMessage tm = session.createTextMessage();
    tm.setText(text);
    tm.setJMSReplyTo(destQueue);
    messageProducer.send(tm);
    System.out.println("Sent " + text);
    MessageConsumer recv = session.createConsumer(destQueue);
    connection.start();
    Message m = recv.receive(10000);
    tm = (TextMessage) m;
    if(tm != null) System.out.println(tm.getText());
    else System.out.println("No message replied");
    } catch (JMSException ex) {
    System.out.println(ex);
    Thanks Glen

    Glen,
    I have never attempted to use the messaging service the way you have, namely a single instance as both sender and receiver, but I noticed that you do send the message before you register your Consumer. My first and easiest suggestion would be to simply move your consumer block (I would move both lines) above the producer block and try again.
    If that attempt fails, I would implement a MessageListener, once again before the producer block and allow it to handle received messages (no need for recv.receive(10000);)
    Example:
        public class QueueMessageListener implements MessageListener {
            public void onMessage(Message message) {
                try {
                    System.out.println(String.format("From Glassfish: %s received a %s of type %s.", m_Queue.getQueueName(), message.getClass().getName(), message.getJMSType()));
                    System.out.println(printJMSMessage(message));
                } catch (JMSException ex) {
                //handle message here
        }and somewhere before the producer block:
                m_msgListener = new QueueMessageListener();
                m_msgConsumer =  m_Session.createConsumer(m_Queue);
                m_msgConsumer.setMessageListener(m_msgListener);
                m_Connection.start();I feel like I've done my good dead for the day :)

  • Response Groups not working

    Hi there
    My environment is a single Lync 2013 Front End Server installed on Server 2012.
    It works since a year and now we want to use some response groups. I created 2 of them and everything seems fine but i cant call these groups. Not from internal and also not from external.
    The clients shows an 500 internal server error with ID 26017.
    So i traced the whole thing on the Front End Server. It seems the Response Group Service cant work with the local SQL Server. I see three error messages.
    1. TL_ERROR(TF_COMPONENT) [2]0B90.37A8::07/23/2014-06:38:39.119.000002fb (RgsClientsLib,MatchMakingLocator.GetActiveInstanceFromDB:683.idx(479))

    (0000000000150BA8)There is currently no active MatchMaking instance in the pool.
    The Lync Server Event Log shows this error when the Response Group Service starts:
    LS Response Group Service ID 31067
    Lync Server 2013, Response Group Service Match Making could not find the Contact object used for subscribing to agents' presence.
    Cause: The application has not been properly activated or the Contact object was deleted.
    Resolution:
    Deactivate and then activate the application for this pool.
    Is there a way to reinstall / reconfigure the whole response group service incl. the active directory objects?
    I hope somebody could help
    Regards
    Andreas

    Have you seen this thread:

    He ran Get-CsApplicationEndpoint and received a warning that let him to a resolution.
    Short of that, I'd rerun step 2 in the deployment wizard and restart services when you can to see if I could jog anything loose.

  • Messaging only: WCF-BasicHTTP adapter Request-Response correlation

    Hi,
    we have a solution where we make a soap web service call to a third party.
    we do not want to use orchestrations.
    we are in need to pass a value to the third party service and we would
    like to have that value passed back to us in the response.
    However, the third party is not guaranteeing this.
    as an alternative, i tried promoting  a property into the context
    before the outbound call and check if this is still available in the context when the response come thru.. but no luck here.
    IS there any other way to achieve this?
    regards,
    MS

    Hi MS,
    What is your question? When you use Request-Response (Receive) port and solicit-Response (send) port, the correlation would happen out-ob-box with the help of EpmRRCorrelationToken, CorrelationToken and RouteDirectToTP
    properties.
    Are your not using the solicit-Response (send) which would take care of the correlation to  Request-Response (Receive) port. Ensure you're using the XML-Transit (on send) and XML-Receive (on receive) pipelines on these two way ports (in both Request-Response
    (Receive) port and solicit-Response (send) port)
    If this answers your question please mark it accordingly. If this post is helpful, please vote as helpful by clicking the upward arrow mark next to my reply.

  • ESS/MSS: Approve Leave Request in UWL - not working

    Hi to all,
    we are using web dynpro ESS/ MSS (SAPESS07_12/ SAPMSS07_4) in portal NW04s for mySAP ERP2005 and are using UWL in order to approve leave requests. If employees are creating leave requests, everything works fine. After that the manager opens the leave request in UWL, the web dynpro application is openening succesfully and after some clicks he reaches the buttons to approve or reject the leave request. But by pushing one of them the following messages occures :
    <b>Workitem 000000000000 Cannot be read</b>
    After pushing the button again, another message comes up:
    <b>No Customizing for status typ ARQ, Status approved...</b>
    By the way, the same errors also come up when the employee wants to delete his leave request which is not approved.
    Any ideas, what can be the reason?
    Regards,
    Frank

    Hi Ashutosh,
    I have found the reason. The user <b>WF - Batch</b> in sap erp, which is using the RFC Destination for workflow, was locked. Well, it is a a little bit strange for a cummunication user that he becomes locked. Unlocked him, now all works.
    Thanks for your support.

  • Response.Redirect not working after printing CR

    Using Visual Studio 2010 sp1 with Crystal for VS 2010. Web app running as a web application in x86 mode  using .NET 4.0 framework.
    I recently created a CR with a sub-report and it previews and prints just fine.  However, after I PRINT the report, my code behind in the ASPX file is not recognized and thus fails.
    For example, I created a 'Back' button to redirect the CR aspx back to the calling aspx file and it works just fine if I only view the report.  If I click on the printer icon located on the report viewer toolbar, the button stops working.  In fact, none of the code behind syntax is recognized and the aspx file just does a page_load.
    I know this code works because it does work if I DON"T print the report:
        protected void btnBack_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
            Response.Redirect("~/NewCase.aspx");
    I also have a 'Submit' button that changes the data parameters for the report and it works great but after I print the report, it will not work either.   (I've tried to upgrade to sp2 but I get an error with the installation process... so still trying to figure that out.)
        protected void btnSubmit_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
            CrystalReportViewer1.RefreshReport();
    To summarize,  All the code I listed works fine if I do not try to print the report and just view it.  After I click the printer icon, the code stops being recognized and the aspx page just refreshes.
    I've searched for help on the web for a couple of days to no avail; so I am thinking it must be some issue with the report viewer.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    This is a problem specific to ASP.NET 4.0.  I would either recommend upgrading to .NET 4.5 if possible, otherwise I believe you might have to create a custom browser definition. There is a bug in .Net 4.0 for browser detection.

  • JMS MQ adapter does not work

    Hello
    I have a scenarios File --> XI --> JMS (MQ) and JMS(MQ) --> XI --> File. This scenarios work fine in our sandbox, we configured the same thing in our dev PI, (JMS MQ driver deployed). However in Dev:
    1) Scenario JMS(MQ) --> XI --> File works perfectly
    2) File --> XI --> JMS(MQ) has runtime error in RWB:
    Delivering the message to the application using connection JMS_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.lang.ClassCastException: class com.sap.aii.adapter.xi.ms.XIMessage:service:com.sap.aii.adapter.xi.svc\u0040com.sap.engine.boot.loader.ResourceMultiParentClassLoader\u00404da9ec16\u0040alive incompatible with interface javax.jms.Message:library:jms\u0040com.sap.engine.boot.loader.ResourceMultiParentClassLoader\u00403feef1eb\u0040alive.
    Sorry \u0040 means the symbol of at, I can't put the symbol at in the message as SDN treat it as eamil addresse and thus block using it. \u0040 should be the unicode of at, but seems not working.
    From the error, looks like SAP XI's class not compatible with JMS standard class. How can this be? In DEV, we have many other scenarios (non JMS), they are all working perfectly.
    Can somebody tell something from the error?
    Thanks
    Jayson

  • Web Service Client - SOAP/jms: Specific response queue (not default queue)?

    Hi @ll
    I try to define a specific jms response queue for a web service client that communicates SOAP/jms, running on a WLS 9.2. The web service itself runs also on a WLS 9.2 where also the request and response queues are located. By default the client receives the responses from a temporary response queue. Is there a way to define a specific response queue e.g. setting the JMSReplyTo property in the request on the client side?
    /cheers&greetz
    Dani

    WLS do not have a light SOAP client with callbacks yet. It is
    not a planed feature for 7.0, but we will considering this for
    post 7.0.

    Hi, guys:
    I have a system : client written in Java/Swing, HTTPS authentication,
    and then subscribes to a WLS 61. SP2 based JMS Topic and also has the
    ability to send message to a Queue, since I can not bring down the size of
    the client side WLS JMS dependency lib, I am thinking about using SOAP /
    web service as the communication tier between my client and server, so the
    question is: since the client need get the price updates in a real time
    mode, I need build a server side based PUSH for all the new price updates
    which come into the JMS Topic, and broadcast as SOAP messages to client,is
    this mean that I have to build the Call - Back for the Java Swing Client,so
    it can automatically get the new price updates as it's getting from JMS
    Topic now ? Any Idea on how to build server side PUSH based SOAP message
    center as web service ?? Thanks a lot.
    regards,
    mark
    FYI:
    I need the same PUSH service for my .NET based client as well.
