JMX script for monitoring JMS servers in a cluster

hi
I am new to writing scripts. I will appreciate if I can get some help in writing a JMX script for monitoring JMS Servers in a cluster a well as monitoring the distributed queues
thanks

Exact scenario is,
          JMS Server
          |
          DistributedQueue
          | |
          JMSrvr1 JMSrvr2
          Q1 Q3
          Q2 Q4
Q1 and Q2 delegateing messages, and at the same time Q3,Q4 also delegating messages.
If JMSrvr1 down, we need to merge Q1 and Q2 with JMSrvr2. Here we cannot migrate as, JMSrvr already have queues. We need to merge all these queues.
          Thanks and Regards,
          Narayana Moorthy.

I solved that problem. Now i could enter into intractive mode.but couldnt connect to server using connect('weblogic','weblogic','t3://localhost:7001').The servers are up and running.
I am getting the following error.

  • Need Help with EEM script for monitoring Rx and Tx load on Link

    Hello,
I'm trying to implement a script, which monitors the Tx and Rx Load on the Link and sends a syslog in case the load is exceeded 200 mark (i.e If Rx or Tx load > 200)
I have implemented the following script. But it is not giving the required results.
    event manager applet test
    event interface name Tunnel111 parameter rxload entry-val 200 entry-op gt entry-val-is-increment true poll-interval 5000
action 1.0 syslog msg "Increase Load On the Link"
I'm trying to monitor the load on Tunnel 111 which is mapped to WAN interface.
Router (Cisco 2821) has following IOS
    c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-25g.bin

    Hello Joseph,
As per your suggestion, we made some changes in our script and the following script is working fine. Its giving the required syslogs when the load is exceeded.
    event manager applet test
    event interface name Tunnel111 parameter txload entry-val 200 entry-op gt entry-val-is-increment false poll-interval 5
action 1.0 syslog msg "Increased Load On the Link"

  • Paging in JMS servers

    hi
I am working on WLS 8.1. I developed a script using weblogic.admin to get the information about all the JMS servers in a cluster. It was working fine. But now as I configured paging and distributed queues to my JMS servers, that script is only getting the information of the JMS servers which dont have these added features with the same. I appreciate if somebody can tell me the reason those servers are not active.
              thanks in advance

    Hi,
It sounds like you may have a generic mbean problem and not something unique to JMS. The "management" newsgroup may be able to help if you post more info there.
Meanwhile, in case you're unaware, there's a simple JMS stat dump sample program for 8.1 called "JMSStats.java" available on dev2dev. Search code-share for jmstats, or one of these links might work:

  • Script for Checking the Server Status

    Hi All,
I just need the script for monitoring the server status through the WLST.My scenario:I have 2 server in Running State. If any one of the server get failed or in not RUNNING state then i use the script for starting that server automatically.I tried some of the script but it is not working properly .If any one have the sample script please share with me.
    Regards,
    Ove.

    Hi Syed,
Replication state is very easy to see in 4.x and earlier. The last changenumber in the supplier changelog is visible (on the root DSE IIRC), and each consumer suffix has an operational attribute "copiedfrom" that tells you the name of the supplier, the database generation id, and the last change replayed from the supplier.
So a script that compares the results of
    ldapsearch -h <supplier> -s base -b "" "objectclass=*" lastchangenumber
    and
    ldapsearch -h <consumer> -s base -b <base_suffix> "objectclass=*" copiedFrom
will show you if a replica has fallen out of sync. It won't tell you more than how many changes behind the replica is, though, because pre-5.x changenumbers are sequential integers, not timestamps.
However, the change that corresponds to the changenumber is clearly visible under the "cn=changelog" suffix. So if you look at the change itself you can see the timestamp on it.
For more info on the status of replication, you should be able to query the agreements on the supplier. Those live under the "Netscape Machine Data Suffix", which you can also find on the supplier's root DSE:
    ldapsearch -h <supplier> -s base -b "" "objectclass=*" netscapemdsuffix
And of course the error logs will usually tell you if replication is failing outright.
I may be off on some of the attribute names, but if you do some investigating along these lines, you should be able to figure it out.

  • JMS Servers

I wonder if someone could clear this up for me, JMS support the following architecture
JMS Clients (Which can be either a JMS Producer or a JMS Consumer)
JMS Provider (which provides the destinations for JMS Clients to send/recieve
              messages)
In the case of WLS 7.0 is the actual JMS Server the JMS Provider?
              regards
              Barry

    In WebLogic:
JMS destinations are hosted on a JMS server (as I wrote below)
A WL server may host zero or more JMS servers (as I wrote below)
A WL cluster may host one or more WL servers, where all
              share a replicated JNDI context
JMS client connections are hosted on a WL server within
the same WL cluster as their JMS server,
where the connection host is determined
round-robin style according to the configured
targets for the connection factory they are using.
As per the JMS API, JMS clients access destinations
via resources obtained from their JMS connection
              (resources include consumers and producers),
the JMS connection routes all client requests
              to these resources through
its WL server host to the JMS server
which hosts the destination (which may
be on another WL server within the cluster)
You will find this information in the JMS Programmer's Guide,
as well as most books that cover WL JMS, as well as
              the "JMS Performance Guide" white-paper.

  • WebLogic 12.1.2 erases subdeployment on Distributed Queue when targeted to multiple JMS Servers

    Hi,
I have been migrating an 10.3.5.0 server to WebLogic 12.1.2.0 and have been unable to keep the subdeployment dropdown populated in the subdeployment tab of a uniform distributed queue when the subdeployment targets more than 1 JMS Server.
If I uncheck one of the servers - I work fine - however I would like to target all JMS Servers in the cluster - this used to work fine in 10.3.5.0
      Following
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24329_01/apirefs.1211/e24401/taskhelp/jms_modules/distributed_queues/CreateUniformDistributedQueues.html
I am able to create a new queue no problem against the multiple-server subdeployment - but when I navigate to the subdeployment dropdown - the target is erased with "None".
If I save the subdeployment after setting it during the queue create - it is erased

    - you will not however be able to edit the JMS queue once created - if there is any change to targeting - recreating the queue is required

    Hi petro_jemes,
Just a little claritification, you need to add the value to the variable "[string]$ou", and also change the language in the variable "$emailbody" in the function "Get-ADUserPasswordExpirationDate".
    I hope this helps.

  • Monitoring scripts for AlwaysOn Availability Group

Does anyone have any any monitoring scripts for AlwaysOn AG using Transact SQL or stored procedures?   I'm not a strong coder and don't know Powershell at all.  But if there are some Powershell scripts we may be able to use them.  I've
seen the dashboard but that's only good if you're logged onto it.
I'm looking for things like monitoring when a database is suspended, send an alert to us but also tries to do the resume.
    Thanks for any info.

    Start with this list
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff877954.aspx
Automating the issue resolution has to conform to your operational standards. For example, if you use a file share witness for your quorum configuration and your monitoring tells you that it is offline, do you automate bringing it online or do you escalate
to your infrastructure team so that they can look into it? If the database is suspended or the Availability Group in offline state, do you just bring it online or do you check other dependencies like the quorum configuration and instead perform a forced quorum?
I'm a big fan of automation but make sure you define your process first so that you don't cause more issues as a result.

Could someone provide me with some sample scripts for starting/stopping managed Weblogic servers?  I'm specifically looking for ways to start/stop them WITHOUT starting the AdminServer.  I'm running WLS 10.3.6 on Windows Server 2003, and I have NodeManager set to start automatically as a Windows service.
I know how to set my managed servers up as Windows services so that they will start automatically at boot, but this requires the AdminServer to be running, which I do not want.  I just want a few scripts for starting/stopping the managed servers (and maybe some hints as to how to make them start automatically without starting the AdminServer).
    Thanks in advance,
    Tom

    Hello Puneet,
Admin console is an web application deployed into AdminServer. Hence if you shutdown AdminServer then you wouldn't able to access Admin console.
Managed Server would function in MSI mode, however you will not be able to make any configuration or administration activities like deployment , any configuration changes , etc.
    Hello PRISM,
Can you confirm your requirement about why you don't want AdminServer to be running?
As I said,  you will loose the administration capability if you don't have admin server running.
    Regards
    Rosario
