JOptionPane goes behind browser window (Help PLEASE!)

I apologize if this is not the best place to post this question.
I have an applet that open a JOptionPane using the following:

THE PROBLEM I'm seeing is that this JOptionPane pops up for a second and then goes behind the applet browser window.
I have 2 html files (index.html and product.html). index.html opens product.html in a new browser window (minus the toolbar and menu) using a small javascript (see below for code).
I only see this problem when I open product.html via index.html. When I open product.html by itself this problem does not occur.
Please help if you can - thanks ahead of time!!

Solved my own problem!!
I modified index.html (see below) and it now works - the JOptionPane stays on top. Still don't know why though.

Open New Browser Window in CS4 opens behind existing window - HELP!

I am creating a website in CS4, and everything works fine EXCEPT ona few pages, for every link I have set up to open in a new browser window, the new window opens BEHIND the existing window, so that you cannot see it. I tried one solution that said to type "javascript:;" in the href (link) box, but that did not correct the problem. Any ideas?

Plug-in Window goes behind main window(CS5)

hi all,
I've been working on a plug in development for After Effects(CS5)..But i'm facing a problem now. The plug in window goes behind the After effects main window..So i would like to know the reason and solution for the problem..so could anybody help me out on this?

i can't understand whether the problem you're describing is in regards to a custom made window (pop up), a palette plug-in, or the ECW.
this is a long thread that deals with a lot of different issues, but also goes into details on creating os level windows:

if you're not dealing with an os level window then... what exactly is the problem?

New Window Opening Behind Browser Window

I have produced a page in DW3 for an artist where you click
on a thumbnail and it opens a new window with an enlargement of
that image. (I use the DW3 javascript behaviour to do this).
When I test it on my browsers the windows open in front of
the main browser window and all is hunky dory.
When my client does the same, she claims that some of the
windows open in front of the main browser window but some open
behind the browser window and are obscured. She says she perceives
a "flash" if the new window opens behind the browser window. She is
using Firefox 2.0.9.17
Has anyone experienced this behaviour and figured out a
fix?

Usually the user/browser decides where new windows/tabs will
be opened.
But why open a new window at all? Why not use something like
Litebox?

Video for browser window help needed

Hi,
I have an idea for a website where it starts with a short
video that plays at what ever size the users window is at, then the
clip stops to a stand still and the user interface then pops up or
it may appear along with the video. . . but I'm a bit worried as
I'm kinda new to flash and I have no idea how I can get a video to
play to the full size of a browser window (not full screen) , I
think I can do the interface popup bit at the end though. Here is
an example of the sort thing I'm taking about

The way that a flash file will display and stretch, or not,
is defined in the HTML options tab of the Publish Settings window.
You need to use both the Dimensions option and the Scale
option.

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH VERIZON THAT THEY CAN'T DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO? HELP PLEASE!!!!

Over the last month and a half I have called and spoke to 3 or 4 different Verizon customer service agents about a problem with my account & every time I am told that the problem will be fixed only to have nothing happen. What is going on here?
Around the beginning of March I made the mistake of edging up & my account has been screwed up ever since. I was using the iphone 5 & had only $130 left before the iphone 5 was completely paid for (I had been making payments on it every month through the edge program) and my contract was up in April. I stupidly decided to edge up & Verizon sent me the iphone 6+ & told me I was to send them my iphone 5. I decided that I would rather keep the iphone 5 so I could pay the remaining $130 left on the edge agreement & I would own the iphone 5 outright. I returned the iphone 6+ (yes it was within the 14 day window that Verizon gives you to return a new device) to a Verizon store and paid the $35 restock fee. I never activated the iphone 6+.
Somehow or other Verizon started me on a whole new edge agreement as if I had kept the iphone 6+. Verizon says that I have $600 some dollars left to pay on my edge agreement. I've already made almost $600 total edge payments over the last year and I had $130 left to pay. Why is Verizon trying to charge me again for a phone I've already paid for??? My last monthly payment due was $185, it's usually around $110 & the extra charges were because of the "new edge device" agreement I was put on.
I understand mistakes happen but this is ridiculous. I've called and spoke to at least 3 different Verizon customer service agents and they've all told me they would correct my account and I would see the correction on my verizon in a week or 10 days or something like that so I wait and nothing happens. I was told the extra $75 I paid last month would be credited & put towards my account, I was told by one of Verizons people I spoke with that I would be getting some form I needed to sign in the mail but it never came. I am so tired of wasting so much time on a mistake Verizon made but seems unwilling to fix. Why is it so difficult to remedy my account?

Cannot connect to itunes/windows help please!!!

I have a 8gb ipod touch i brought it in australia and now im back in england, i cannot seem to connect to itunes, when i plug the cable in it makes the noise to say its connected and then the ipod camera window pops up but still doesnt connect to itunes, ive reset everything and deleted all the media files now i have to re-install it but i still cant seem to connect to itunes to re-install. please help having a mini drama with this ipod!!

maybe log into itunes click the your account button on the right then change country?? no idea if that would have a difference but worth a try

Quicktime player opens behind browser window

I have have a webpage that has several quicktime movies, each one is linked to another quicktime movie that opens a rtsp stream which is located in a password protected directory (using htaccess).
When a movie is clicked a password dialog box opens, after the username and password are entered the player begins the stream. On mac's, the player opens in front of the browser... on pc's(windows xp), the player opens behind the browser. Does anyone know how to make the player open in front of all windows on a pc?

Not booting straight to windows help please

im trying to get a real fast boot time on my pc but i keep geting these 3 screens befor it gose to windows i have the msi 760gma-p34 (fx) mother board i set the ssd raid 0 as boot and it still says cant find any device and then loads the drives then gose to windows idk y please help

All my LOOPS disappeared from L8 Loop browser. HELP Please !

hi, my loops do not show up in my loops browser in logic 8 all of a sudden. yesterday the did, and now, there is nothing there. all the choices like "dark" or "experimental" or "guitars" etc. no longer highlight. the only button that highlites is "All". and when i click it the "Reset" button highlites. then i click that an nothing again. not finding them. but when i search for them they are on my harddisk... not deleted. does anyone know how to get the loop browser to rescan the drive? ive quit logic and restarted, resterted the computer. looked thru all my choices n tried to read logic manual. cant find anything to get my loops to show back up in the browser. can anyone help?

You do have some HTML errors. If you run it through this validator, it will show you where they are and you can repair them...

There is an error in the css of your <head> section, you have a line of css outside your <style> tags...

If you don't need it, delete it, if you do, just move it into one of the <style> tag sets. (you may want to clean the css up and move it to an external sheet so everything is in the same place)
The rest of it looks fine according to the CSS validator here: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ the errors it throws, aside from the out of place css line are to be expected and don't affect anything negatively (they're just browser specific code).
I wouldn't be surprised if that line is causing the error you're seeing.
