[JS] CS5.5: Exporting EPS with Bleed Settings.- Reg

Dear All
I'm having the doubt regarding for the exporting EPS with changing the bleed setting for while on-Fly process.
Currently I'm using the below source code:
//==================== Source Code ======================//
var myDoc = app.activeDocument
__DoEPSExportPreferenceSettings(myDoc)
myEPSFileName = File(myDoc.filePath).fsName + "/"+ String(myDoc.name).split(".indd")[0]+(".eps");
app.activeDocument.exportFile(ExportFormat.epsType, File(myEPSFileName));
function __DoEPSExportPreferenceSettings(myDoc)
         with(app.epsExportPreferences)
                pageRange = "1";
                epsSpreads = false;
                postscriptLevel = PostScriptLevels.LEVEL_3;
                epsColor = EPSColorSpace.UNCHANGED_COLOR_SPACE;
                preview = PreviewTypes.NONE
                fontEmbedding = FontEmbedding.COMPLETE;
                dataFormat = DataFormat.ASCII;
                  var BleedTopOffset = app.activeDocument.documentPreferences.documentBleedTopOffset;
                    var BleedBottomOffset = app.activeDocument.documentPreferences.documentBleedBottomOffset;
                    var BleedInsLeftOffset = app.activeDocument.documentPreferences.documentBleedInsideOrLeftOffset;
                    var BleedOutRightOffset = app.activeDocument.documentPreferences.documentBleedOutsideOrRightOffset;
                bleedBottom =32 + "pt";
                bleedTop =  32 + "pt";
                 bleedInside =  32 + "pt";
                 bleedOutside =  32 + "pt";
                imageData = EPSImageData.ALL_IMAGE_DATA;
                opiImageReplacement = true;
                omitBitmaps = false;
                omitEPS = false;
                omitPDF = false;
                appliedFlattenerPreset = "[High Resolution]";
                ignoreSpreadOverrides = true;
//==================== End : Source Code ======================//
but unable to set the Bleed settings, while exporting as eps format.
I mean the script is trying to change the bleed settings while using the "EPS ExportPreference settings", but unable to to exporting as EPS. [The output eps is without change the above mentioned 32pt settings in bleed].
I'm checking all the possibilities. but unable to solve this proble.
Please any one can give me the proper soultions, I will appriciate...
Thanks in Advance

Dear Mac_rk,
Many thanks... I checked your code. But that also is coming wrong output.... I mean with out bleed only its exported... Please kindly look in to the below source code.

  • Having trouble with bleed settings

    Hello,
    I'm trying to make an image a full bleed on an 8.5x11 page. I've got the "Use Document Bleed Settings" checkbox selected in the Bleed and Slug panel of the Marks and Bleeds setting in the PDF export. However, I'm getting this blanking area and then a thin duplication of the image on the verso page. Also, there's a white gutter area. When I deselect the check box, the image seems to look correct on the page. However, I'm concerned that if the checkbox isn't selected, something else might not print properly.
    I've also got some images that cross from one page to another. With the box checked, the image doesn't split correctly but there's a small duplication on the other page, suggesting the image won't print up properly. I don't mind that some of the image disappears into the gutter/spine, it's part of the look. But I don't want a white stripe & thin slice or replicated part of the image on the opposing page.
    Does anyone have a suggestion of how to handle this properly?
    Thank you!

    I'm using ID 8.0.1 in Mac OS 10.9.
    I get the white stripe when I place a full image covering the outer edge bleeds and abuting right against the inner edge or spine. But when I put an image across the spine and onto the other page, I get the slightly duplicated image as can be seen in the animal horn.
    When I use Salah Fadlabi's suggestion of unchecking "Use Document Bleed Settings" and then changing the "Inside" bleed to 0in while leaving Top, Bottom and Outside to 0.125in, The image looks correct when I look at a 2-up view, it doesn't get split or have the weird white line.
    rajsre's suggestion that when the paper is cut, the repeated image with the animal horn will actually look correct. However, I'm not confident how this will play out, as I get the white stripe in the single-page images. I didn't do any special setup like "space between", as I'm not sure where that setting is. Sorry, I'm still learning. When I Export, I'm not doing anything special. I know a little bit of the image will be eaten by the gutter, especially with the images that go across the pages.
    My printer (Ingramspark) has this to say about gutter margin:
    • GUTTER MARGIN:
    SADDLE STITCH BOOKS: no gutter margin required; items can be taken completely to the bind edge.
    PERFECT / CASE LAMINATE / DUST JACKET BOOKS : 0.125" (3 mm) gutter margin (no-ink area) required on the bind side of the interior. These are bound with glue, and the area is designated so it can adhere to all pages (see reference templates for example). Crossover spreads (images/color intended to straddle a spread) may be used as long as the gutter margin is placed in between where the images/color would normally meet.
    Blue (Bleed) Area / Overall Document Size
    To determine the final bleed size of your page use the following equation:
    Final Width = Width of book + 0.125" (3 mm) bleed on trim side. No additional bleed is added to the bind edge. Final Height = Height of book + 0.125" (3 mm) bleed on top + 0.125" (3 mm) bleed on bottom.
    For example a 6x9" (229x152mm) book will have a final interior size of 6.125" (156 mm) wide x 9.25" (235 mm) tall.
    If using a background color or image please take those elements to the edge of the bleed area.
    Pink (Safety) Area
    A 0.5" (13 mm) margin is recommended inside the trim for color book interiors. For perfect bound and hardcover titles this is in addition to the required 0.125" (3 mm) gutter margin. All headers, footers, page numbers, body text and all non-bleed images need to remain in those margins. Any elements outside of the safety areas are at risk of being trimmed.
    So that would suggest I need a non-colored area on the inside edge of the pages, so the inside edge of the PDF pages should have a white stripe. Am I reading this correctly? I've got my page setup to have a gutter of 0.125in. This  white stripe makes sense for the crossover spread, but it doesn't make sense for the image sitting only on one page.
    (This paperback book is going to be print perfect bound. I was thinking about making this a hardback book, but I'm looking at cost options - another matter altogether.)
    Here's what the overall image looks like in ID:

  • InDesign CS5 on two computers with same settings

    Hi.  New to macs and adobe software, so please help if you can.
    Have a macbook air and a imac, both running indesign.
    Is it possible to have both machine use the same settings, workspace, layout etc. (ie when a change the workspace or preferences on one machine, it will be the same on the other machine)
    I understand about library and snippets, but wanting the main preferences, workspace, swatches, preflight etc etc to all be the same on both machines.
    I know you can export and import some settings, but this means i have to rememeber to update each computer.
    Looking for a way to have both machines access the setting from a common source.
    I have an external wireless drive that both machines can access.
    Is this possible???? thanks.

    This sounds like a perfect opportunity for cloud-based applications. The app's on neither machine, but accessible to all subscribed users.
    You could try installing InDesign on the external drive and starting up from it, instead of the internal drives. Probably there'll be problems because each Mac model installs OS X specifically.
    InDesign's able to script startup operations, so you might be able to script copying the settings files from one location to the other, with perhaps a dialog box to confirm/ignore, depending on which location's got the most up-to-date settings. Or, perhaps a shutdown script that copies from each machine's session to "iacsettings" or "airsettings" stored files, and a startup script to choose when launching.

  • Exporting raw, with metadata settings

    is it possible to export a raw image from aperture with the settings applied in aperture (either as dng, if imported as such, or with xmp sidecar file)? i only see export options for a version (tiff, jpg, etc) or original (as shot or originally imported). but what if i decide i don't like aperture and want to go over to lightroom or back to bridge ACR or any other system?
    aperture isn't what i want it be yet, and although i have hopes that it will be soon, i don't like the idea of spending a lot of time applying settings that i will lose if i decide later to move to a different program (lightroom, etc) later.
    powerbook 1.67   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

    that really is a big commitment then... for something that is in my mind severely flawed and only a work in progress. and incredibly slow not to mention. i spent a lot of time on some vacation photos recently, not even a job, and now i feel those photos are going to be forever stuck in there if i later decide to abandon aperture.
    i think it's going to be a duke out between lightroom and aperture, but at least a migration from my current workflow - bridge/acr - will be a two way street with lightroom. (actually, currently lightroom is unalbe to write to dng files, which is amazing since it is an adobe creation, right? but at least they are aware of the issue and have rightfully called their program a beta version).

  • Exporting PDF with bleed

    Hello,
    I'm sending a document to a printing company in a pdf file.  I am trying to export the document so it bleeds off the page.  The bleed is set to 0, and when I open the document in Acrobat, it shows it bleeds off the page.  The printing company says it doesn't when they open it.  Is there any way I can export this as a pdf so it bleeds off the page?
    Thanks!

    Why do you have it set to zero?
    You need to add bleed to the document or set the bleed manually when exporting.

  • Exporting video with normal settings but video plays buffered

    Hi,
    I have a preset in APP that i always use for TVC, today i went to use the same preset (with good quality footage) and when i go to play the exported video it plays very buffered and you can barely watch it.
    I exported a video yesterday using the same preset and now that does the same thing (yesterday i worked fine) on other computers too it also buffers.
    Any ideas?

    fiatchrysler wrote:
    the frame rate was very high i changed it down to 25 (thats the only thing i changed' and exported it again as H.264 format and 'match source'. still shows as skipping when playing exported video.
    The video footage i am using to create this video is in quick time - would that have anything to do with it?
    Did you try manually lowering the bitrate as I suggested?
    If the original MOV footage plays fine, I don't see a reason for it being an issue after being exported.

  • Exporting quicktime with 4 audio tracks for broadcast

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to do this? i need to get a program out to a broadcast quicktime file with sync on 1&2 and M&E on 3&4, i have the sequence setup correctly as did a digi playout for the same thing which was fine. However, if i do 'export quicktime' with sequence settings i only get two audio chanels. If i go to quicktime conversion then all the drop down menus for multiple audio chanels are greyed out.
    Any ideas?
    Best,
    GK

    if i do 'export quicktime' with sequence settings i only get two audio chanels
    how are up you assessing this? QT Player has only 2 playback channels and additional channels will be mixed down to those ... but if you press Cmd-J to open the movie properties you should see all 4 channels are there, or if you reimport your exported file back into FCP you'll see it contain the 4 audio tracks as exported ... if not then your export settings are not correct :/

  • Adding crop marks to a documents with bleeds & save as EPS

    Working on Adobe CS6
    A sign maker has asked me to submit my artwork for different signs (quite a few of them, in different-sizes) as EPS with crop/trim marks.
    For instance: The size of this sign is 24"x24" with a .25" bleed.  The Artboard shows the right size, and the crop marks show uo as they should.  But once I let go of the Artboard, no crop marks show on my screen.
    Any crop mark I try adding via the Object ("Create Trim Marks") or Effect menu for crop marks, both cases would create them around the BLEEDS, rather than the REAL ARTBOARD, which, of course, defies the purpose of a crop or trim mark...
    I usually submit files for production saved as PDF w/bleeds & crop marks, but this sign maker wants them as EPS.
    Is there a way around it, other than create those marks manually?....
    ...Thanks.

    Set your artboard to the size of your sign and save the file as a pdf with "Trim Marks" checked and the bleed settings where you want them.
    Open the resulting pdf in acrobat and save as an .eps
    Open in Illustrator to verify that you're cross-marks were preserved.

  • Exporting a book as a PDF WITH bleed?

    Hi,
    Can I export my Lightroom 4 Book WITH bleed? I want to send it to my printer but can't find a way to do this which means I'll have to re-do the whole project in InDesign
    Help please!
    Andy

    With BLEED as a PDF, that is... it's ok when it goes to BLURB, but when you output as a PDF to the Printer they can't see the bleed....

  • Can't export with same settings.

    I followed the procedure of starting a project, and not choosing any initial settings.  According to a tutorial I could import a clip and drag it to the new sequence icon and then be sure that it was imported exactly with the right settings.  So then I trimmed the ends and tried to export, checking the  "match sequence settings" box.  By doing so, other parameters are grayed out.  So doing so, and trying to proceed I get "error compling movie.  Unknown error.
    So then I tried a difference sequence with the same procedure as a test, and not trimming or anything with the same results.
    these clips are from a Nikon D300s camera:
    1280x720, 24 fps, progressivew, Quality 50.
    The output and source show the same settings but it doesn't work. Why not?

    As I looked at the list of possible reasons, the 2nd one jumped out at me as I was exporting to the same name.  Unfortunatley that wasn't the problem.  Checking the other ones:
    Disk has plenty of space.and none of the other things are problems as I can export things without matching settings.
    As in the test, there was no other clip or modifications that is not the problem.  I tried several other clips from the D300s and the results are always the same.  There is no ability of the program to match the sequence settings.  Checking this box is why it won't work.
    The last suggestion is to post the problem to the user forum so here it is in a perhaps endless loop with no solution other than PP just can't do it.

  • Bleed settings come out wrong when export to PDF

    I'm working on a 5x13 door hanger in InDesign with a .125" bleed on all sides. I did the front in Illustrator and brought it into ID and I did the back entirely in ID since it's text heavy.
    When I export it to PDF with bleed and crop marks showing, the crop marks show up where the color ends instead of .125" in from the edge of the color.
    I keep double checking both the ID and Illustrator documents, and I can't see anything wrong. Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't think what.
    Has anyone run into this problem before? Any thoughts on what I might be missing and how to fix it? Maybe ID handles bleeds differently than what I'm used to?

    When you export to PDF there is an option to set bleeds in the export dialog or use the document bleeds. Maybe you have them set to 0 in the dialog and haven't checked use document bleeds?

  • Export .wav with markers from Audition into Premiere Pro CS5.5

    Hi,
    I need help in getting a multitrack mixdown with markers from Audition into Premiere.
    This is what I have:
    An Audition CS5.5 multitrack session with lots of markers
    This is what I did to export:
    Audition > File > Export > Multitrack Mixdown > Entire Session > .wav & "include markers and other metadata"
    When I import that .wav in Premiere Pro there are no markers, neither in the source monitor, nor in the sequence.
    When I import it into After Effects, all markers are there. Unfortunately, this does not help me in my editing in Premiere.
    Is there any workaround for that? A direkt export from Audition via
    Multitrack > Export to Premiere Pro
    did not help either.
    There is a thread on this in Soundtbooth (sorry for posting there, too) where it is stated that it should work in Premiere, too:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3908899#3908899
    Please help, regards,
    Andreas

    Hi Tim,
    first of all, thank you for your help.
    I also just filed a bug report, as you suggested.
    Now let me share the results of checking out the workaround that you suggested:
    1. Export to Premiere Pro via "Mulitrack menu > Export to Adobe Premiere Pro"
    I had tried that before and found it not working. This was a partial mistake. What I mean by that is, when you do that, the exported .wav files get automatically added to the sequence timeline. And do not show markers. BUT, what I overlooked was, that there is a sequence created alongside which resides in the project panel. This sequence does in fact include the markers, as sequence markers.
    Now comes the bitter part: When I delete the automatically added .wav from the timeline and replace it with said sequence, the markers are treated as clip markers. By contrast to After Effects, in Premiere Pro clip markers do not contain any text / names. I.e. all metadata is lost except the mere fact of anonymous markers on the timeline.
    2. Export to Premiere Pro via " File menu > Export > FCP XML Interchange Format"
    Same as above. Except, that I had not tried that before. What I had tried before was ...
    3. Export via " File menu > Export > OMF"
    Interestingly, this cannot be imported in Premiere Pro at all. Could this be another bug?
    Comment:
    I really hope that the markers export/import gets fixed soon.
    I also wished, that clip markers in Premiere Pro would be as intelligent as in After Effects (naming, updating, showing their text clearly in the timeline)
    I also wished that sequence markers would be as intelligent as comp markers in After Effects in showing their text clearly in the timeline.
    ... but thats a lot of wishing going on
    Kind regards,
    Andreas

  • Exporting FLV With Cue Points In Adobe Premiere Pro CS5

    Hello
    I am currently using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 to export to a FLV file with flash cue points. I have managed to do this but I also want to export (separately) a list of all the time codes of the cue points in the clip. I see that you can save the cue points to an xml file but it doesn't come up with the time codes (well it does, but it is in milliseconds and amongst other things). Is there any way I can save a list of the time codes of the cue points on my FLV file, rather than having to manually type it out?
    Thanks,
    Rvnistelrooy

    I don't think there is any easy way to do this, but one thing I could suggest is to export the metadata as an xml side car and then use the text editor to extract the times.  I'm not sure this would work, but it's worth a try.
    Cheers,
    Dennis

  • Lr 5.3 not exports photo's to Ps CC with lr settings (cmd-e)

    Normally I get a menu with the options: make e new copy with Lr settings; or work on the original photo...
    now: photoshop opens and there it stays... no menu, no photo in ps...
    for any help thanks
    ( had already help by the chat help funtion and thrown away the cashes en prefs, lightroom had to rebuild the catalogue... after that it worked but with next startup it was same trouble)

    Yes, unfortunately you're right...
    Since LR5.3 the opening screen from Lightroom (Original with LR editing, Original, Copy) comes up only if you have an JPG, TIFF or PSD-File in LR. If this is an RAW/DNG LR push the file directly to photoshop with all of your editing-work. But this is theory...
    I'm testing since yesterday to find a solution and we many discussions about that in different communities. But nothing works until now.
    This is the conclusion of the problem:
    If I have an DNG-File and make my editing in LR, PS opens the original file without the editing, no matter which way I do (cmd+E, right-click, menu).
    If I do the same with an NEF out of my camera, PS opens with a blank screen, i.e. NO photo!
    If I do an editing on a JPG, the opening screen from LR comes up, ask me for the mode, I choose "Original with LR editing" and PS opens the file without editing.
    And this is the same at both Macs I have.
    The only workaround at this time is to make the editing in LR, export the photo to TIFF, JPG, ... and then open this in PS and finish the picture... :-(
    Running LR5.3, PS CS6 ext., Mac OS X 10.9.1

    please give us more information about your sequence settings and export settings, framerate of your titles, etc.
    only the titles are shaky and the video looks good?
