JSP sends an incomplete response!

Hi,
I have a problem with the date localization example in the tutorial.
The problem is that as a result of pressing the 'Get Date' button I receive an incomplete HTML page containing the locales combobox only.
By looking at the page source I see that the document suddenly ends somewhere in the list of combobox options. pressing 'Reload' doesn't help.
However if I move the focus to the Address field and press Enter the page is fully loaded with the appropriate results.
Can anyone tell me why does the JSP send only partial responses?
Thanks,
Shai

I've had a similar problem with a page crapping out in the middle of processing. The cause of this was a NullPointerException occuring at an earlier point in the page but the Exception was not being thrown on the page. Instead, it ended processing at a random point.
Can't explain why this happens. I was using JDK 1.4.2 and Tomcat 5.0.27. I fixed the NullPointerException and all was well. You shouldn't be too concerned with this being a MAJOR problem because it isn't. It's simply programmer error.
If you check your server logs (standard out), it should have something like this:
SEVERE: Javac exception

  • Is there a way to create a rule that sends and Auto Response for a shared mailbox?

    I have a shared mailbox set up that receives emails that are sent to 3 different addresses:
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    I would like to create a rule that would send an auto response when someone emails one of these addresses.  However, I don't want an auto response sent to [email protected] so I can't just set up an "out of office" reply for the mailbox.
    Is there a way that I can create a rule to send an automated response to 2 of the 3 addresses?
    Nate

    Hi
    we can enable the shared mailbox in ADUC and create Outlook rules for it in Outlook to achieve it. please follow these steps:
    1. In Active Directory Users and Computers, right-click the shared mailbox and click Enable Account.
    2. Configure the Outlook account for the shared mailbox in Outlook.
    3. Click Rules > Manage Rules & Alerts.
    4. Create a rule like the following format:
         Apply this rule after the message arrives
         Have server reply using a specific message
         Except if the subject contains specific words
         Select exception(s) (if necessary) of the Outlook Rule - (“except if from people or public group“)
    5. Apply the auto reply rules for this shared mailbox.
    Then users can receive auto reply of the shared mailbox except the exceptions we have set  when they send messages to this shared mailbox.

  • Sender configuration incomplete - perhaps AS2ID missing...

    Hello,
    We have an PI 7.11 system. Our scenario is outbound IDOC to AS2 (converted to EDIFACT). It is from R/3 --> PI --> Third Party. We installed SeeBurger adapters.
    R/3 is in our landscape, its component created without Party.
    Receiver is a Third Party. So its component created with Party. In party we have defined  Agency and Scheme Name as "Seeburger", "AS2ID", "XXX".
    We also have done Receiver Agreement Header Mapping only for Receiver Communication Party and Receiver Communication Component.
    When we try to send a message, getting below error at audit log.
    Our Sender system is R/3, therefore we cant define a Party for it. What should be resolve this issue?

  • Must invitees send an email response for their attendance status to be recorded?

    Here is the scenario: Server is Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 SP2 and client is Outlook 2010
    - You use Microsoft Outlook to schedule a meeting and invite attendees.
    - The attendees accept or decline the meeting but some choose NOT
    to send their meeting responses.
    - In the tracking for the calendar event, only those who actually emailed a response are updated.
    Is this the expected behavior? Exchange uses email to track invitation responses? We have many people who accept meeting invitations but choose not to send a response to reduce overall email clutter. Anecdotally, I hear this was not the case in earlier versions
    of Exchange.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    If we are talking about the Meeting Tracking window in Calendar, the status will be updated when the attendee sends a response. If the attendee doesn't send the response, which means Outlook doesn't get an answer, then Tracking information won't
    be updated.
    Assuming the organizer knows the attendees have accepted the request, he can switch to the tracking page then click in the Response field and select a response.

  • Sending a SOAP response immediately upon receipt - synchronous interface

    Hi,
    We have an outbound synchronous SOAP interface on XI which is called by a sender system. Although the process is asynchronous, the sender system can only handle synchronous web service calls (apparently some limitation of that system).
    What I would like XI to do is send a response immediately upon receipt of the message and then continue with the BPM (so not waiting the completion of the BPM before sending back the response).
    Does anyone know the procedure for doing this?
    Thanks. Best regards,
    Cedric

    Hi,
    yes you can do this in a BPM using synch-asych bridge.
    here is the link which describes more(Using a Receive Step to Open a Sync/Async Bridge)

  • OSB-Catching error and sending it as response

    hi,
    in OSB, the system throws eror on any exception. but i want it to be catched and sent as a response to the customer. how is it possible?

    Hi,
    I have a doubt in sending the error response to the client.
    In proxy service error handler, I have used the reply activity to give the response.
    On executing the proxy I could see the below in the test console.
    Request Document_
         <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
         <soap:Header xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">

         <res:location>chennai</res:location>
         </res:request>
         </soapenv:Body>
         </soapenv:Envelope>
    Response Document_
    The invocation resulted in an error: .
         <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">

         </con:location>
         </con:fault>
    In response document it just shows “the invocation resulted in error” without any error details.
    What I want is, I want the $fault variable which is displayed in the “service error handler” in invocation trace to be displayed as response in the response document to the client.
    If you have any idea on this, help me out.

  • Jsp waiting for servlet response how to make

    Hi All,
    i have some doubts about making servlet response for jsp request
    Am watched some online reservation sites it search some hotel names untill the hotel names display (between that time)
    the image processing shows how can i make like that via jsp and servlet plz expalin with example code plz.
    how to make jsp wait to servlet response like that plz reply
    Thanks

    It's a client side thing. Learn Javascript (and CSS) and if necessary also learn Ajax afterwards. There are nice tutorials at w3schools.com. This issue is not really related to JSP/Servlets.
    Displaying the progress image isn't that hard. Just show some <div> element with an image during the onclick.

  • MAKING TWO REQUESTS FROM A JSP AND HANDLING TWO RESPONSE ????????

    Hi,
    I have a requirement like below.
    When a user clicks on download_pdf link on a web page, he should get the pdf data from the server where at the same time he should be shown with a processing window. Say the time taking for hitting the server and getting the response is 10 sec, the processing window should be shown for 10 sec and immediately it has to close.
    My approach :
    From JSP having download_pdf link :: while onClick I am calling an action which is nothing but a servlet call which will take care of getting the pdf data from the server and shown pdf save,cancel window. Other part is onClick I added a javascript function call which will open a seperate window (nothing but a jsp ) showing the processing icon.
    The problem here is, I can not close the window immediately after we get the response from the servlet.
    As we can not have direct communication between two responses(servlet reponse and processing window jsp) I am not able to close the window.
    My trials to close the processing window JSP :
    I tried to write a javascript in the processing window jsp which will be closed after 10 sec using setTimeout() funtion. But here the problem is the window will be closed after 10 sec where even if servlet call response takes 20 sec.
    Please suggest me if I need to do any design change ?
    Can I use any context attributes to come out of this ?
    What would be the best design for this ?
    Thanks and Regards,
    V.Narayana.

    Thanks for the idea.. I am trying to implement that.. Can you please let me know how Can I make a repetitive ajax call ??
    If anyone interested in code, I am pasting all the sample files I prepared for..

  • Sender adapter request response bean not working for calling a webservice

    Hi All,
    In PI 7.31, My scenario :  SOAP sender Asynch-> PI -> HTTP Receiver Sync ->take response to call another webservice  (SOAP)
    I have configured request response bean and response one way bean in the sender adapter to make this work.
    Attached the screenshot of the module config in  the sender soap adapter. The final response from HTTP has to be used to call another webservice (not sender webservice)
    This giving an error "couldn't retrieve binding values for sender to receiver etc etc ----------"
    Has anyone configured response one way bean to call a webservice to submit? If so, please share the configuration details. And let me know if I am doing anything wrong
    thx
    mike

    Hi Michael,
    I think the adapter type is for the receiver channel looking at the documentation SAP Library - SAP Exchange Infrastructure
    Have you checked your receiver channel doesn't belong to a party?
    I havent tried this bridge with the http_aae but looks to be problematic according with Michal comment here http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2014/01/28/generic-pi-async-sync-bridge-configuration-for-any-adapters#comment-454463

    When CAD team tries to hit XI server using the url, it is getting blank screen and the Acknowledgement sent back to user as SMS which is also blank.
    Since this application is not able to send payload to XI server, we have used a ABAP module to convert plain text paramaters to XML payload following the link http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/13639. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    Now Our requirment is that when CAD receives SMS as a request which is then sent to XI, a SMS should be sent back to user as Acknowlegment and not a blank SMS.
    How can we configure response scenario for this.
    Regards,
    Sachi

    Hi Amair,
    As Bhavesh suggested i also dont see a way you can do this unless by making the interface Synchronous. If you do so then it becomes so simple and u will not require any work arounds.

  • Jsp:forward failed with 'Response already committed'

    I got a "Response already commited" error when using logic:forward or jsp:forward inside a JSP page fragment that is part of a Struts Tiles layout.
    Here is the code fragment included in the layout.jsp.
    <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-logic.tld" prefix="logic" %>
    <logic:notPresent name="user" scope="session">
         <logic:forward name="login" />
    </logic:notPresent>
    Here is the error message:
    [ServletException in:/WEB-INF/tiles/verifyLogin.jsp] Exception forwarding for name login: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot forward. Response already committed. (Servlet 2.3, SRV 8.4)'

    Jsp normally buffers output in a 8k buffer and write it to the output stream (i.e. "commits") it when:
    1) it is explicitly flushed
    2) the buffer overflow
    3) an jsp include is invoked
    My code is in a layout.jsp file which is referenced in a tiles-definition. The tiles definition is tiles:inserted in a top-level jsp file. I am not sure if tiles uses jsp:include or if there is a way to get jsp:foward to work in the layout.jsp.

  • Possible to include a JSP in  a component response ?

    Hello,
    I am writing an UI component that needs to include a JSP in its response and I am having some issues with the include:
    In the encodeBegin() method of the component, I do the include like this:
    HttpServletRequest request = (HttpServletRequest)context.getExternalContext().getRequest();
    HttpServletResponse response = (HttpServletResponse)context.getExternalContext().getResponse();
    ServletContext servletContext = (ServletContext)context.getExternalContext().getContext();
    RequestDispatcher disp = servletContext.getRequestDispatcher(uri);
    disp.include(request, response);
    The called page is included in the response, but at the beginning of the page, not inside the calling component response. I am guessing it is because context.getResponseWriter() returns a different writer than the one obtained from the HttpServletResponse used in the included page, and that the 2 responses (the JSF and the included page) are assembled only when the JSF rendering is over.
    Has anyone been confronted to the same problem, and if so, have you been able to solve it ?
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi,
    I suppose you have the same kind of problem discussed here
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=427&thread=516289
    When you use includes, you have to use subviews and verbatims tags.
    The funny thing is, you'll probably encounter the verbatim tag bug, which was blocker for me, so I switched to MyFaces.

  • File2RFC Scenario in XI-want to send and the response of rfc by mail/fil

    I have an File to RFC scenario in PI.The initial requirement was to just pick the file and update the data in sap.its file to rfc sceanrio in XI...
    *Now i need to send the response of the rfc function module via file or could be via mail*
    Please tell me the best way to approach..howdo i handel this scenario.
    Thanks.
    Rohan Patil.

    Hello Rohan,
    In your case you can follow two approaches.
    1. If need to send RFC Response through Mail Use BPM
    2. IF need to send via File
           2.1 you can implement with the  BPM
           2.2 you can implement the same without BPM also(but needed SP10 of PI7.0 for this implementation by using standard modules check wiki for the same )
