JspException : runtime property file

Hello all,
I'm using JSP, business components and servlet technology in my project. Now I have this weird error. It seems like he is looking for a properties file for my application module, but I don't use any property file for my appmodule.
When I run the project locally it works fine, but as soon as I make a war descriptor and deploy it to the AS it gives me this exception.
I also have tried to look for any DossierLovAM.properties, but the file doesn't exist in my project. I find it weird that there is such a difference between the embedded oc4j server and the application server.

  • JSP Registry could not locate runtime property file

              At runtime, my JSP is throwing an exception claiming to be not able to find the property
              file. I have found the exact property file in the jar located on the server. I've
              tried extracting it and placing it in different places and adding the file and directory
              to the WebLogic classpath. I'm not sure what else to try.

    When you generate a webapp or use the JSP element wizard , a property file is created for you that contains some startup parameters. This file needs to be available in the classpath. This errors comes up becuase the file is not avalable in the classpath.

  • How can you change property files of a EJB at Runtime?

    Hi,
    I have got an ejb and want to change my variables which I stored in property file at Runtime.
    But the property file isn´t in the jar-file of my ejb...
    How can I add it.
    Or How can I change the property file without new compilation.
    Thanks
    Uli

    Hi Uli,
    the previous post is generally correct, but without taking any part in the sensibility of this (there are valid reasons why you would not store the values in a DB) it would be necessary for you to be a bit more specific.
    Is your problem that you can not see the file from your EJB or that you don't know how to change a property file entry in general?

  • Is it possible to add path to .property files at runtime?

    I have 3rd party jars that require access to property files. I won't know the path to these property files until I execute some discovery code at runtime. Is there some mechanism to add these directories to the path at runtime?

    Hi Marco,
    I assume your requirement is :
    At design time bind Inuputfield IP1 to ATTR1 and at runtime bind IP1 to ATTR2 on some condition.
    Instead of changing the binding you can have two input fields IP1 and IP2 bound to ATTR1 and ATTR2  .
    Hide IP2 initially ( Bind attributes of type WDUI_VISIBILITY to the 'Visible' property of IP2 and IP1 )
    On the event or condition you want it to change , hide IP1 and unhide IP2.
    I hope it helps.
    Please revert in case of issues.

  • How to know if a property file that I use in my program is updated

    Hi everyone,
    I was wondering how my program can know as soon as the property file/any file that I'm intersted in, has been updated at runtime. Something like JBoss descriptor etc, as soon as we make a change the app server knows of that change ?
    I need this technique for updateing my static variables in memory as soon as there was a manual change to any properties at runtime.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    - Liju P.Oommen.

    One way to do it would be to wrap the process used to update the property file itself. For example if you provided a GUI that people used to change the properties and this GUI also notified your program when the properties changed you could maintain consistency.

  • Specify a property file inside a ear file

    Hi guys I have this myApplication.ear file.
    All the project inside the ear file are using myProperties.properties file.
    I have been told that this property file has to be inside the ear file.In websphere 7.0 ,the administrator will specify a jvm classpath like /webAS/installedApps/myApplication.ear/myProperties.properties.During runtime my code will find the property file using this class path
    I am using RAD 7.5 to generate the ear file.Can some one tell me how to achieve this.Basically my ear file has to be bundled with the property file.
    thanks

    You might get better results from a RAD forum if you a havent already figured out your issue.

  • How can i get the all values from the Property file to Hashtable?

    how can i get the all values from the Property file to Hashtable?
    ok,consider my property file name is pro.PROPERTIES
    and it contain
    8326=sun developer
    4306=sun java developer
    3943=java developer
    how can i get the all keys & values from the pro.PROPERTIES to hashtable
    plz help guys..............

    The Properties class is already a subclass of Hashtable. So if you have a Properties object, you already have a Hashtable. So all you need to do is the first part of that:Properties props = new Properties();
    InputStream is = new FileInputStream("tivoli.properties");
    props.load(is);

  • Error Reading Property File in Portal Component

    Hello,
    I have created a portal component that calls an api that is located in a jar file.  The documentation on the Portal Component Structure specifies putting the jar file in the PORTAL-INF/lib directory, which I have done.  The problem is, my jar file reads a property file using ResourceBundle, but it doesn't find the property file.  I have placed the property file in the jar file, and throughout the portal component structure, but it just can't find it.  Has anyone else done something similar?  If so, where did you put your property file(s) for external jars that are used in the portal component.
    EP6 SP2 Patch27
    thanks,
    Keith

    Hi,
    I had similar issues and moved the property files to PORTAL-INF/classes.

  • Maven Plugin not accepting values from a property file.

    Hi,
    I want to create javadocs using maven.
    It works fine when i provide all the absolute paths in the pom.
    But when i try to provide paths by reading a property file then the maven-javadoc-plugin does not get the paths from this property file.
    The property file is defined as mentioned in below format:
    src_mvn_consult_framework_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/projects/framework
    src_mvn_consult_module_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/projects/module
    src_mvn_consult_appx_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/projects/appx
    src_mvn_consult_client_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/projects/client
    src_mvn_consult_app_webservice_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/application/com.ofss.fc.cz.nab.webservices
    src_mvn_consult_app_middleware_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/application/com.ofss.fc.cz.nab.middleware
    Calling this property file in the pom like:
    <plugin>
         <groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
         <artifactId>properties-maven-plugin</artifactId>
         <version>1.0-alpha-2</version>
         <executions>
         <execution>
         <phase>initialize</phase>
         <goals>
    <goal>read-project-properties</goal>
         </goals>
         <configuration>
    <files>
         <file>/var/build/consult/maven/cz_javadoc-config.properties</file>
    </files>
         </configuration>
         </execution>
         </executions>
    </plugin>
    Finally we are using keys defined in property file in pom like:
    <plugin>
              <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
              <artifactId>maven-javadoc-plugin</artifactId>
              <version>2.7</version>
              <configuration>
              <sourcepath>${src_mvn_consult_framework_dir};
                   ${src_mvn_consult_module_dir};
                   ${src_mvn_consult_appx_dir};
                   ${src_mvn_consult_client_dir};
                   ${src_mvn_consult_app_webservice_dir};
                   ${src_mvn_consult_app_middleware_dir};
              </sourcepath>
              </configuration>
    </plugin>
    Please suggest how we can get the value of keys defined in the property file in POM
    Thanks for your invaluable support

    I've had to do something similar in one of my apps.  In order to populate values in the THIS scope, you'll need to put a copy of the XML loading/processing logic in the pseudo-constructor (or encapsulate it in a separate CFM/CFC file and include it in both places).  It's ugly, but that's the only way I'm aware of to access the THIS scope.

  • Open module for managing property file and environment variables

    Looking for an open module for managing property files and environment variables (like CLASSPATH) set in a shell script. For handeling properties (preserving comments, supporting includes, appending new entries, and more) I have looked at SuperProperties from openadaptor but find certain functionality lacking. As for interfacing with common shell scripts/files containing setting for CLASSPATH, JAVA_HOME, other system/application variables another type of object editor is needed. Maybe JFIG?
    Any ideas are greatly welcomed.

    You seem wright, you hit a brick wall here with Air to find the location
    of the command console on windows...
    So in fact I never build an exe tool, but this little problem was a nice
    case to test it and I tried it.:
    I downloaded monodevelop
    -GTK# for .NET 2.12.10*
    -MonoDevelop 2.4.2*
       from http://monodevelop.com/Download
    created a console project and had an exe in 5 minutes !
    You can download the findconsole tool and the projectfiles here:
       http://greencollective.nl/temp/dump/findconsole_monoproject.zip
    findconsole.exe will reveal the path/location of cmd.exe on a windows system.

  • Crystal Report 11, List of Runtime DLLs, Runtime.hlp File

    I am using Crystal Report 11 with my Delphi 7 application.
    I need the list of runtime dlls which I will need to distribute with my application.
    The Help file which comes with the Delphi 7 VCL Component (UCRPE32.hlp) says :
    QUOTE
    check RUNTIME.HLP in the Program Files\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\Developer Files\Help folder
    and make sure you have all the files.
    UNQUOTE
      I could not find the RUNTIME.HLP file in any folder/subfolders on the machine  where Crystal Report 11 has been installed.
       Can somebody tell me where I can find RUNTIME.HLP file or the list of runtime DLLs which is required to be distributed
    along with my application(which is written in Delphi 7).
        Thanks in advance

    Hello Ramesh,
    Business Objects does not support manual deployment of their runtime files.  This started with the release of CR XI (v11.0).  Please see [Business Objects Note 1218571|https://bcp.wdf.sap.corp/sap/sapnotes/display/0001218571] - How to distribute the Report Designer Component (RDC) in Crystal Reports XI for more information.
    You may also want to review the RDC deployment article - [Creating an RDC Distribution Package|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/901c0761-cf1d-2b10-dea4-8e83937a9337] - that can be found on the SAP web site as well.
    The RDC merge modules do not include the CRPE32.dll.  Since you're using the VCL you'll probably have to add that file manually to your deployment package.
    The merge module links in these articles have probably changed.  Go to the [Business Objects Support Software Download|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm] page to find the RDC merge modules.
    Change the Selection Criteria to this:
    Software Product: Crystal Reports
    Product Version: XI, XI Release 1, or XI Release 2 (depending on your version of Crystal Reports)
    Software Type: Utility
    You should also be aware of the fact that the VCL is not being updated any longer.  I think the XI (v11.0) version is the last one that will be available.  Additionally, the Report Designer Component (RDC) has been retired with the release of CR 2008.  Going forward you'll have to migrate to .NET SDK or the Crystal Report Java SDK.
    I hope this helps,
    Sincerely,
    Dan Kelleher

  • How to use an equal sign as a part of the value in a property file

    say I have this line in a properties file:
    args = -Xms512m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m
    obviously I can't use the (=) as is. What should I do to make it work?
    I tried to use \= and \:, but it doesn't work as well.
    thanks.

    A property file contains "key" lines or "key=value" lines the '=' character loses its special meaning after a key is read so you can use '=' characters in the 'value' part of a property.
    kind regards,
    Jos
