JTF JSP functions interoperable with OA Functions

Hi Gurus,
I have a Custom Responsibility have a few OAF functions and few JTF ( like Calender , Task etc ). In order to create the Tab and Sub Tab like Structure I have created different Menus , submenus of ( HTML , SUB HTML types) and have also included the OAHF and OASF parameters in the Functions URL.
Now the Home Page Renders File. When one click on the OAF Function it renders the Tabs correctly. Once I am there one click on any of the links (JTF or OAF ) everything works as desired.
But when from HOME Page one click on JTF Function the Page do not render properly.
Is there some technique / process which needs to be taken care of ..the developer guide is good for OAF related pages I believe.
Do JSP pages understand the OAHF and OASF parameters or there is some other settings?

You get the same error even when the class which includes the method is missing. Can you check whether the class is available in WEB-INF/classes or WEB-INF/lib or at the ear level?
          I just tried this locally and it works as expected w/ the class in web-inf/classes
          We'll add a better error message in this case.

IF functions working with T functions

I'm working on a Numbers form where I want two sheets to talk to each other. I started with creating a pop-up menu in one cell, and a completely separate sheet with text information. What I want to happen is when I choose one pop-up selection, the cells in the main sheet will talk to specific cells in the other sheet to create information.
Example: When I choose Bob Jones from my drop down in the Info Sheet document, the cells in the sheet will pull information from Bob Jones' Data Sheet.
I know it should use an =If() function and a =T() function, but it keeps giving me errors! Help!

Yvan has provided a pair of corrected formulas. What follows should be considered a tutorial example on trouble-shooting these kinds of errors.
There are at least three visible errors in this formula. At least one of them is one of the finicky little things that catches us all at one time or another.
The = sign serves two purposes in formulas.
Placed at the beginning of the formula it indicates to Numbers that everything following is a formula.
Placed within the formula (as 'B1="Smith, Joe (TEST)" it is a comparison operator that compares the contents of B1 to the text string Smith, Joe (TEST). If they are the same the operator returns TRUE, if they are not identical, it returns FALSE.
The third = sign, placed within the formula, is also interpreted as a comparison operator, and, as there's noting on its left side to compare, will return an error. It is not needed to identify T() as a function. remove the = sign.
The pair of double quotes containing "Smith, Joe (TEST)" identify their contents as a text string.
Near the end of the formula there is a single double quote character ( " ). My assumption is that this is intended to make IF return 'nothing' if the IF condition is not met. The format for that is the empty string—a pair of double quotes with nothing between them ( "" ).
Commas serve as separators between the arguments of functions that have more than a single argument. There are two functions in your formula, IF(), which accepts either two or three arguments, and T() which requires (and accepts) only one argument.
Placed where it is (inside the brackets for T(), the final comma is interpreted as a separator between two arguments for T(). Place one of the two right parentheses immediately after C6 and before the comma. That makes the material following the comma (corrected to "" ) the third argument for the IF function.
As Yvan notes, you could also remove the T() function itself, leaving only the cell address as IF's second argument.
That would make your (edited) formula:
=IF(B1="Smith, Joe (TEST)",TEST Billing :: C6),"")
which returns the contents of cell C6 on the table TEST Billing if B1 contains Smith, John (TEST), or the empty string (which displays as an empty cell) if B1 is empty or contains anything else.

Record Group functions - Problerms with a function Get_Group_Selection

Anywone knows how to delete a record from a record group, i have this code below on the trigger KEY-DELREC, every time i delete a record this code is execute. The problem here is that i whant to delete a row in a record group but , i can't use the function Get_Group_Selection, to find the number of the row i want to delete, when i use the function Get_Group_Selection, it gives me the error FRM-41087 .
Can aywone help me with that , it's urgent!!

But now i have an other problem that is when i invoke the when-validate item trigger it searchs the field for a value that´s is equal to value in a record group and if it finds it, it raises
raise_form_trigger_failure and displays a messagem, it works fine but if a press the button save or back it displays the message and after if i press the default button to delete again it doesn´t work .

Shading pattern bug with stitching functions

I am using Acrobat Professional 7 for Windows, but I don't believe the situation has changed in Acrobat 9.
I have a simple hand-crafted pdf that is designed to test shading patterns with extend regions when used with stitching (Type 3) functions. These behave according to the spec in most cases, but there is a special case where they don't. I've included the job at the end of this message.
The special case is where a Bounds entry is identical to one of the Domain values. The spec doesn't say what should happen for this case, but I might expect either the end child function would be ignored, or that it is used but the appropriate colour would be evaluated using it and applied to the extend region.
What in fact happens, is that the extend regions have their colour derived from evaluating 0 or 1 through the end child functions. This is true regardless of whether the shading domain includes zero. But, these are used the wrong way round.
This might seem like a specialised case that would never appear in the field from real world application, but that is not the case. I have dozens of such jobs from customers displaying exactly this problem with varying workarounds by producers such as (Agfa Apogee Normalizer), (Acrobat Distiller 6.0 \(Windows\)), (Adobe PDF library 7.77), (Creo Normalizer JTP ver. 3.1.6), (Adobe PDF Library 8.0).
In more detail, the job has one radial shading pattern using a stitching function with 6 child functions. The first child function coincides with the function domain, as do the last two child functions. The domain of the shading is a subset of the stitching function, arranged so that the end child functions should never be evaluated.
I believe the whole of the shading should be a solid cyan because the domain is 0.3 to 0.7. Only one of the child functions covers this range which is solid cyan. Acrobat displays the inner extended region as black which can only be explained by pushing 1 through the first child function, and the outer extended region is yellow which can only be explained by pushing 0 through the final child function.
I believe Acrobat should be using the shading domain limits for the extend regions. Instead, it is using 0 and 1. But worse, the values are being used the wrong way round.
This is my hand-crafted job for testing shading patterns with Type 3 functions. The job is hand crafted, and I haven't gone to the trouble of setting the xref table or setting the stream lengths, but Acrobat does repair the file and it behaves the same as other, real-world, jobs

I have attached 'FunctionType 3 boundary.pdf' which was the original file I attempted to post. The file 'AcrOut Domain 0_3-0_7.png' makes it clear what I am seeing in Acrobat. I would also like to augment my original post a little to point out incompatibilities between Acrobat and CPSI.
1. From my PoV, compatibility between Acrobat and CPSI is important, so I've also attached a file that contains equivalent PostScript. On my Ricoh Aficio with CPSI (3016.203) inside it, the job is rendered in solid cyan as I would expect given that the domain of the shading is restricted to [0.3 0.7].
2. If the jobs are changed to make the shading domain [0 1] instead of [0.3 0.7], Acrobat displays a green ring (expected), and the inner extend region is now red (expected). The outer extend region remains yellow.
CPSI renders the job almost the same as Acrobat, but the outer extend region is painted in cyan, not yellow. An Nth reading of the PDF and PS specs has revealed a subtle difference; there is one sentence in the stitching function section of the PDF spec not present in the PS spec, it is "If the last bound, Bounds(k−2) , is equal to Domain(1) , then x′ is defined to be Encode(2i)". I take this to mean the outer extends region may have different color in the PDF and PS versions by design.
3. If the pdf job is changed to make the shading domain [0.01 0.99], Acrobat displays the inner extend in black as before (unexpected), otherwise the same as 2).
To summarise:
1. There appears to be a bug in Acrobat whereby it ignores domain of the shading when painting the extend regions.
2. There is an incompatibility between Acrobat and CPSI in the outer extends region when the final Bounds entry is equal to the Domain value. This may be by design.

SE80 problem in ECC with custom function groups

We are in the process of upgrading from 4.64 to ECC 6 and have encountered an unusual situation.
When we bring up a custom function group in SE80, we can no longer see the custom includes in the include section. We can see all other sections. We can still use SE38 to look at an include. The automatically-generated includes are there, such as the TOP, F01 and UXX, but see none of the ones that go with the function modules we've created. When we look at the UXX include, we can see each of the function modules with the include it belongs to. These are function groups that existed in the 4.64 system; they are not new to the ECC system.
We've tried rebuilding the object list at the function group and package levels. We receive no errors and the processes work fine.
Maybe there is a setting somewhere that needs to be updated?

Function IRC_VIS_HOME_PAGE will have 2 parameter defined for it which are OASF and OAHP where
OASF=<SelectedFunctionName> - this tells the Framework to select this function in the given "Home Page" menu context.
OAHP=<HomePageMenuName> - this is used ONLY with the OASF parameter, and it is used to establish the current menu context. It should point to a "Home Page" menu.

Interoperability patches and Functional Prerequisites

Besides prerequisites, sometimes the patch readme's include Interoperability patches and Functional Prerequisites. It seems these patches are needed only if you use the particular product. I have some questions about such patches.
1) If I skip these and one day I need to activate those product, how to find out what such patches are needed? Or is it needed to install all these patches (which may have further prerequisites) anyway?
2) What's the difference between Interoperability patches and Functional Prerequisites?
3) Sometimes the Interoperability patches are for a product family... Is there any document on what applications are there in a product family?

How can I integrate JDeveloper with Rational Functional Tester?

My company has purchased the new released Oracle Soa Suite and also the IBM Rational Functional Tester software. Rational Functional Tester is integrated in the Eclipse IDE, but the Developement Department wants to use JDeveloper as the corporative IDE. ¿Is there anyway to integrate IBM Rational Functional Tester with JDeveloper as is done in Eclipse?. I don't want to do the testing work using the Functional Tester API but using a similar script recorder as the Eclipse IDE has integrated.

Probably best to start a new thread, but...
I have spent some time in the past few weeks to implement a continuous build system for a JDeveloper/ADF project, and as such have also needed to make some Ant scripts.
I will blog about this whole experience in the coming days, but I can offer some tips here:
1). JDevLibsForAnt extension (mentioned above) is a good one. I used it to create the Ant classpath definitions for all of the projects.
2). I believe there is also an extension available (via check for updates) that can be used to start JDeveloper (and probably compile/run deployment profiles) from Ant. I didn't use this, but it may be a quick way to get things done.
3. JDeveloper can generate a new Ant file for a project (right-click project and choose New...). It will do the clean/compile/copy (I believe, cannot remember which ones right now) targets, but it won't make JARs, WARs, or EARs. In order to make the EAR file for my deployment target, I simply built one using the deployment profile, exploded it, and mirrored my Ant script to do the same thing.
4). Get ahold of the ojc.jar and ojspc.jar so that you can use the Oracle Java Compiler and JSP pre-compiler Ant tasks.

Error while replacing IF statements with DECODE function in procedure

I have created a procedure which has nested IF statements. Now I want to replace the IF statements with DECODE functions to improve performance.
Procedure:

I converted the above IF statement into DECODE function as mentioned below:

But it throws below error at the select statement used inside DECODE.

I have written an array of number in 2 column groups to a file using the LabWindows/CVI function ArrayToFile...Now if I want to read the file with FileToArray Function then how do I know the number of items in the file. during the write time I know how many array items to write. but suppose I want the file to read at some later time then How to find the number of items in the file,So that I can read the exact number and present it. There are some ways to improve performance of this code, but if you are not reading thousands of lines it's quite fast.
After this part you can dimension the array to pass to FileToArray... unless you want to read it yourself since you already have it open!

You can search a FM of your requirement by putting in the Key words and searching for a FM. Like * KEYWORD * and then pressing F4.
Say for example you need to search something regarding converstion.
Search for * CONVERT * and press F4.
If there is something specfic like converting date to something you can give
DATE * CONVERT *
OR
CONVERT * DATE * and press F4.
Once you narrow down your search you will have a Function module documentation inside the Function module. Please note that all the FMs willl not have documentation.

goto se37...here u need to create a function group... then u need to create a function module. inside assign import/export parameters. assign tables/exceptions. activate the same. now write ur code within the function module

Query ID in Virtual Cube with services-Function module

Hi,
I am using virtual cube with services linked to a function module.
The function module has fixed parameters(such as infoprovider name). None of these parameters consists of query information such as query ID OR queryname .
Do any one know how to determine query which was executed this function module?

Not able to copying files/folders from one Document Library to another Document Library using Open with Browser functionality

Hi All,
We have SharePoint Production server 2013 where users are complaining that they are not able to copy or move files from one document library to another document library using “Open with Explorer” functionality.
We tried to activate publishing features on production server but it did not work. We users reported following errors:

Tried to map the document libraries and still not get the error to copy files:
In our UAT environment we are able to copy and move folders from using “Open with Explorer” though.
We have tried to simulate in the UAT environment but could not reproduce the production environment.
Any pointers about this issue would be highly appertained.

Hi John and all,
One the newly created web applications that we created few days back and navigated to document library, clicked on “Open with Explorer”, we get this error.
We're having a problem opening this location in file explorer. Add this website to your trusted and try again.
We added to the trusted site in Internet Explorer for this web application, cleared the cache and open the site with same document library but still get the same above error.
However, another existing web application (In same the Farm) that we are troubleshooting at the moment, we are able click on “Open with Explorer”, login in credentials opens and we entered the details we are able to open the document
library and tried to follow these steps:
From Windows Explorer (using with Open with Explorer), tried to copy or move a files to
source document library.
From Windows Explorer moved this file to another destination document library and we got this error.
What we have to achieve is users should be able to copy files and folders using
Open with Explorer functionality. We don’t know why Open with Explorer
functionality not work working for our environment.
Are we doing something wrong?
We have referred to following websites.
we hope concepts of copying / Moving files are similar as SharePoint 2010. Our production environment is SharePoint 2013.
