JTree control icons. How do I get rid of those suckers?

Okay, so I'm using a JTree cldonkey (you can't say class, so please replace every occurence of cldonkey with the correct word, and please use it instead of class, I think it's funny, even though you don't), and I HATE those stupid little circles. How can I replace them with my own icon? I've found the MetalIconFactory. Do I do it in there? I wish I knew, then I would die happy, in a few decades.

Try using the UIManager to change the default icons:
UIManager.put( "Tree.openIcon", yourOpenIcon );
UIManager.put( "Tree.closedIcon", yourClosedIcon );For a list of all properties of the JTree component as well as all other components, check out this program:

we have a long list of disabled/deleted users in AD
Somehow, they are still appeared as active user in Sharepoint Online.
How do we get rid of those list?
Hope you can advice. Thanks.

SharePoint does not remove users from SharePoint permissions just because they were deleted/disabled in AD. This is to maintain referential integrity. In fact, when you delete a user from SharePoint, that user remains in the SharePoint content database,
just marked as deleted.
They do not have access to SharePoint given their account is deleted/disabled. But as far as automatically managing this, I'm not aware of a tool. On-prem there is Metalogix ControlPoint which does a great job of this, I haven't explored the O365 options.

How can i get rid of those infuriating banners just beneath the Search window?

Change your home page to a non-firefox one. If you want google as your home page, do the following:

#Go to google.com

#Click the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | General.

#Make sure it says "Show My Home Page" in the dropdown menu at the top and then click the button called "Use Current Pages".

I can't think what Mozilla is trying to achieve by displaying that childish junk.

Launchpad on my 3 week old 13inch macbook pro with OS Lion, is displaying all sorts of strange files and icons, some of which include: disk image mounter, dock, how can I get rid of this? ods agent, 50onPaletteServer, spotlight.service, SCIM, TCIM, makePDF, PressAndHold, MassStorageCamera- to name but a few! Theres over 100 of these icons and I have no idea what they are and where they came from? whilst using googlechrome yesterday my macbook suddenly slowed down and all running programmes froze. i eventually got all programmes closed and restarted twice and was still running slow. Today it is up to normal speed but I noticed how Launchpad is totally messed up and I dont know how to get rid or move any of these icons, that is if they are even meant to be there. Im not sure if it is relevant but I shall also add that the Hard Disk Icon was randomly being displayed on my desktop as well.
Any help on whats happening to my launchpad and what these icons are would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks, Beth.

I will also add that none of these icons exist when I view my applications folder in Finder.

"A fresh ramp up on your bottom line is establishing an online business from home11, easy to start,..."
Have a look on the second line ''"business from ''home11''
This is actually a link to a website and an extract form an article I wrote. No matter what I do can I get rid of that ....11 after home. On my website http://www.WomensOnlineBusiness.com/five-fundamental-steps.html on the left sidebar buttons I have the same problem and a lot of other places. Weirdly enough not on the home page, but on all the other pages where I have the sidebuttons.
I have not been able to figure out how to get rid of these numbers - think-just guessing- it has something to do with the add-ons but in that case don't know which one.
If anybody can help me out here that would be great, as I like Firefox a lot and would hate to leave it.
Hoping for the best

I can't make out from your low-res screenshot what those gray images in the menu at the left are, but I do not see them and there is nothing int the page source that accounts for them.

• How to finally get rid of those annoying little plus sign boxes in a table

Hello everyone!
Pages treat table cells as a _*TEXT BOX*_
If those +*annoying little plus sign boxes*+ are popping up, do this to get rid of them:
1. Open Inspector
2. _*Select all*_ on your table
3. Click on T
4. Click TEXT
5. GO to _*INSET MARGIN*_ and SLIDE until the little plus sign boxes disappear.
FINALLY the boxes are gone!

Hej Fruhulda
Obviously you are one of the fortunate ones who has never had to deal with the dreaded little box with an X in it!
All of us here were seeing it all the time up until yesterday and it was driving us CRAZY!!
Imagine this:
You are trying to get some work done in Pages
In a table
You add some text to a cell
Then you find out that you have to make the table smaller because
suddenly you have to insert another table on the page
As you are making the table smaller
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Inside the cell with the text *a little box with an X in it appears* and will not go away.
If you are working with MANY cells in a table
You are looking at A LOT OF LITTLE BOXES with X's in them.
Suddenly you feel *SEA SICK* looking at all those little boxes
You read the entire iWork Manual line by line BUT cannot find anything to HELP
Your project is not a numbers candidate
You have been a mac user for YEARS and YEARS
You know your macs, you know your mac issues
WHAT TO DO
I am sure you can see the dilemma we were in!
Then all of us realized that this is similiar to a text box issue and cell padding issue from our Adobe CS suite programs and sure enough it WAS!!
That is basically the problem ALL of US were having.
So if our solution can help anyone - *WE ARE GLAD*
because they were probably getting *SEA SICK TOO* trying to get some work done
Thank your lucky stars you did not ever have this issue pop up on a deadline!!
Have a great day
( I miss my Östermalmstorg FIKA in the afternoon)

• How can I get rid of those icons in safari and have a listing of bookmarks as well as the according web addresses

Hi, I just upgraded to Yosemite and have a huge problem.
There are only icons for the bookmarks, however I need the name and the website address in a list view as I cannot handle over 6,000 bookmarks in an icon window... any suggestions?

Hi annmeyercom,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I can understand wanting to organize and arrange your Safari bookmarks in a way that is beneficial to you. There may be a couple of different solutions to this. The attached article explains how you can see your bookmarks using the Show or hide the sidebar button as well as enabling the Favorites bar which is similar to previous versions of Safari.
Safari 8 (Yosemite): Use bookmarks
Have a great day,

• How can I get rid of those annoying icons on the side of each Safari page for 'sharing' to Facebook, etc?

When I open a page in Safari, there is a bar to the left side that obscures some of the text on the page. It contains icons for different ways of sharing a page, such as Facebook, tweet etc. I would like to make them go away. But they seem stuck there.

I couldn't agree with you more! I just reposted the question, hoping someone will know how to say "adios" to them!

• I just downloaded Firefox on my maxpro and now I have 3 (three) icons on my desktop. if I only need one icon, how do I get rid of the other 2? Thank you.

When I was trying to download, I wasn't certain whether I was being "prompted" to attach the firefox icon to my application folder. When I didn't see the icon in the folder, I tried again - probably a total of 3 times. I searched my application folder and finally found firefox - it was in the form of a piece of paper - when I clicked on the paper the 3 icons appeared on my desktop. I surmised that I had successfully downloaded firefox 3 times...but I really don't trust myself in deleting 2...lest I thereby delete all of the download completely. Further, if it is safe to delete 2, is it enough to simply press the delete button over the icons to be removed or do I have todo something else?

You only need a Firefox icon, which you drag to the Applications folder alias after downloading the Firefox .dmg file.
Once the "Firefox" icon is inside the actual Applications folder, all other icons can be moved to the trash, including the Firefox .dmg installer, which looks like a piece of paper. The Firefox disk image, which looks like an external hard drive or Flash drive icon, should be ejected.
See
[[Installing Firefox on Mac]] for details.

• I have pop ups in all picture windows. they start out with a magnifiing glass icon. how do i get rid of them?

in picture windows a magnifiing glass icon appears, if it's rolled over a pop up happens in the bottom forth of the picture. At this time it's an insurance company but there has been others. It only happens in Mozilla, internet explorer is clean.

Try [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Start Firefox in Safe Mode] and see if this still happens,

• How do I get rid of those annoying white-on-black "?" marks that pepper the text on some web pages

They don't appear in IE. "?" characters are on diamond shaped black background and overwrite characters underneath making it difficult to read the text.

A diamond indicates a problem with the font or the content of a web page. You get a diamond if the page uses an 8 bit encoding and the character can't be mapped. A possible cause is that the text was copied from another (Unicode) source and pasted on that website. IE probably shows a white box or nothing in such a case. It is also possible that the page is send with the wrong encoding by the server.
Can you post a link to a page where you see that?
