Junit AssertionFailedError - method 'null' not found

After running the TestSuite, everytime I click on "null" in Eclipse under Failures, I get "method 'null' not found".
The Failure Trace says "junit.framework.AssertionFailedError".
just running one class through the TestSuite and have commented all my assertion statements but still get this error. Any pointers ?
Thanking you

I once encountered this issue. The cause was I put some code in the class (which inherits from TestCase) constructor.
After I remove the constructor, everything went OK. Hope this help.

  • Update -Graph and Pivot Table model.DataControls.dcx of type null not found

    Now Solved.
    I upgraded to the new Jdeveloper release and the Preview works.
    Update
    I created a new application and the graphs work ok.
    Now, why in my current project won't the graphs work???
    Chuck
    This just occured today 6/22/09.
    When ever I preview a graph or pivot table i receive this message:
    oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002: Definition model.DataControls.dcx of type null not found
    I drop the query on a form as a table and it works fine.
    I have used Graphs before, and ahve never recieved this error.
    I just remenbered, I was using the previous release of Jdeveloper when I built the graphs.
    Probably nothing !!
    In the developers manual this message is mentioned:
    +29.3 Correcting Simple Oracle ADF Runtime Errors+
    Failures of the Oracle ADF Model layer cannot be detected by the JDeveloper
    compiler, in part because the page’s data-display and method-execution behavior
    relies on the declarative Oracle ADF page definition files. The Oracle ADF Model layer
    utilizes those declarative files at runtime to create the objects of the Oracle ADF
    binding container.
    To go beyond simple schema validation, you will want to routinely run and test your
    web pages to ensure that none of the following conditions exists:
    +■ The project dependency between the data model project and the user interface+
    project is disabled.
    By default, the dependency between projects is enabled whenever you create a
    web page that accesses a data control in the data model project. However, if the
    dependency is disabled and remains disabled when you attempt to run the
    application, an internal servlet error will be generated at runtime:
    oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002: Definition
    model.DataControls.dcx of type null not found
    To correct the error, double-click the user interface project, and select the
    Dependencies node in the dialog. Make sure that the ModelProjectName.jpr
    option appears selected in the panel.
    I checked and the model.jpr is there.
    I re-installed jdeveloper but the same error occurs.
    I have no idea on how to proceed.

    Well, Shay
    I search my entire C drive for datacontrol.dcx and *.dcx and no files found.
    I am usiing ADF.
    The new application that I created that works in preview does not have this file.
    I unstalled jdeveloper, downloaded a new copy, deleted Oracle directory, installed jdeveloper and results are the same.
    Is the datacontrol.dcx file the same as the "datacontrol in the Data Controls Folder "?
    The datacontrol is present the Data Controls Folder (model.jpr model.appmodule)

  • JBO-25019: Entity row of key null not found even though key filled in??

    Hi All,
    I'm using jdev 10.1.2, adf bc's and jsp's.
    I have a view object derived from 2 entity objects, which the user is allowed edit. It's a standard adf edit. Even though the key fields are filled in i keep getting this error when the page is submitted... "JBO-25019: Entity row of key null not found in Milk. " where milk is one of the entities
    I've checked that the fields are bound, which they are. I created a test method in the app module where i got the current row (i.e. the row i'm editing) and got the key values no problem. I've created the page again, same problem.
    This problem occurs in another edit page which uses the same view object. I've other edit pages which use different view objects, but who are based on the same entities and there is no problem.
    i cannot understand why. I have tried creating the view object again and creating a new edit page but i still get the same error.
    I can't understand why this is happening. If anyone could help, i'd be really grateful.
    Thanks in advance,
    newbe.

    I take your point about not all databases support triggers.
    However I am not using DBSequence...the above is a bug surely.For non-oracle SQLBuilders, if RETURNING clause is not supported by the DB in insert/update DML, then to perform refresh-on-insert/update BC4J calls the corresponding entity's doRefreshSQL() method. The javadoc says:
    if refresh-on-insert or update setting is set on an attribute which
    is a primary key attribute, then this method will fail to fetch the entity as the primary key
    in the databse for the equivalent row would have potentially changed. If that's true,
    then subclasses need to implement this method and perform "custom" sql to fetch the refresh-attrs
    based on some unique criteria for this entity.

  • The getBuiltInScopes method was not found

      I have an application that has worked for quite a while. I have made no changes to the code since the last time I used it. Basically, the code creates a zip file with input for an involved report. I used it in March of this year it worked fine. I've been assured by the gov't sysadmins and DBAs that nothing has changed, but I still get the attached error. Any ideas?    I have just heard from a friend who knows CF, that it could be a version issue.  I am currently running 8 and I believe he is running 10.   If this is an issue, is the solution somewhere on this site?   I do minimal CF and am at a loss.   The function that is throwing the error is when a button is clicked, a javascript routine is run which combines all the files requred for the zip file.   Yesterday, another application started throwing the error.  I haven't been through the code yet, but it is another button being clicked, and I'm sure, another javascript error.

    The SysAdmin sent me the application log:  Since it is a government site, I changed identifying things to XXXX  or xxxx.
    "Error","ajp-bio-8012-exec-2091","09/26/14","11:43:33","XXXXransfer3","The getBuiltInScopes method was not found.Either there are no methods with the specified method name and argument types or the getBuiltInScopes method is overloaded with argument types that ColdFusion cannot decipher reliably. Line 113 is: document.form1.actiontaken.value = "approve"
    The user clicks on a button to Approve or Disapprove a request.  This causes another screen to be displayed.  The error is happening before the 2nd screen is displayed.

  • UI Error 'Method clone not found in class java.lang.Class'

    When attempting to view an application window in the User Interface error I receive the error 'Method clone not found in class java.lang.Class'. The window will run correctly when I execute the application and other objects on the window are displayed correctly in the UI editor.
    Within the window class I have used the following line of code to clone a reference list of values that is loaded just once when the application starts up: -
    dsDefaultComboBoxModel priorityComboBoxModel = (dsDefaultComboBoxModel) dsReferenceLuLists.priorityComboBoxModel.clone();
    And then this line of code to create a combo box: -
    dsGuiComboBoxRefelu priorityComboBox = new dsGuiComboBoxRefelu(priorityComboBoxModel,ReportWindowSql.priorityCodeBuffer);
    And then later on the combo box is displayed.
    detailsArea.add(priorityComboBox, new XYConstraints(250,10,dsGlobalVariables.gvFieldWidthLarge,-1));
    'dsDefaultComboBoxModel' is defined as follows: -
    public class dsDefaultComboBoxModel extends DefaultComboBoxModel implements Cloneable
    public dsDefaultComboBoxModel()
    public Object clone()
    try
    return super.clone();
    catch ( CloneNotSupportedException e )
    // Shouldn't happen.
    throw new InternalError( e.toString() );
    This error occurs using the latest v903, but was also present in previous versions of JDeveloper.
    At the moment this means that I did to execute the window in order to see all of the GUI elements that are displayed. As on option I could use something other than the clone method, but it seems to be such a nice way of copying the static reference lists.
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Darren,
    My guess is that since DefaultComboBoxModel doesn't implement Cloneable, you can't call super.clone(). Does your code compile?
    Later.

    Hello,

    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import javax.servlet.GenericServlet;
    import javax.servlet.ServletConfig;
    import javax.servlet.ServletContext;
    import javax.servlet.Servlet;
    import javax.servlet.ServletException;
    import javax.servlet.ServletRequest;

    but it still doesn't work. Does anyone know what i miss here? here is the code

    ServletConfig is no method, it's a class.
    As said, use getServletConfig() instead.

  • Method definition not found...

    I am very new to Xcode and coding in general.
    I often get an error notification in xcode that does not go away after the error has been corrected.
    Right now I have "Method definition for 'convertFarenheit:' not found" warning listed, however, the error has been corrected.
    The build succeeds, the program runs properly, output is correct.  The warning is not even on the line it originally was on.
    Is there a way to clear errors like this, or run the error check again?  Is this an xcode bug?
    Thanks for the help.

    Well, unfortunately, I closed the project and reopened it.  The error is gone (so I assume there wasn't one with my coding).
    I run into this often and I will try the suggestion next time I do.

    Hi,
    It's a problem with the antlr lib that also exist in weblogic.
    You can configure the class loader search order:
    Add a file META-INF/weblogic-application.xml in your EAR:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <!-- weblogic-application xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/100" -->
    <weblogic-application>
         <prefer-application-packages>
               <package-name>antlr.*</package-name>
         </prefer-application-packages>
    </weblogic-application>You must provide the antlr lib within the EAR.
    Should be ok after that....

    I have been having a problem with calling a function in a dll file.  I have attached the VI as example.  When I use the GetFile method I get a reference to that.  I then use the Invoke node and recieve a list of methods, the first of which is ChangeState.  I select this method and wire all required inputs and when I run the program I receive the error at that invoke node that the method does not exist.  How is this possible?  I have tried various methods to ensure the inputs are all correct and none have worked.  I do not believe the fault lies in the inputs, but I cannot for the life of me find the problem...  Perhaps someone has experience using Solid Works in Labview?  Any help would be appreciated.!!
    Cheers
    Ben

    I have determined that there is a problem with the Invoke node not recognising the function.  This is a Labview problem as the function is listed and selectable, so when the error comes saying the function is not found, this is a problem with Labview and not the dll.  The Function when selected also has the right input parameters that automatically appear.  How is it then that the method is not found when the program is run?
