Just Purchased a HP Envy7640E All in One Printer - No Display on screen

Hello,
Printer is brand new out of the box. I'm unable to get the screen to show anything for me to give commands of what I would like to do. If I poke around on the screen, I can get a home icon, ? ion and a back icon to show to the left of screen. These icons don't do anything either but disappear. Screen has remained gray and grainy since it was turned on. Never gave me any option to choose english etc.
I set the wireless up and am able to print to the device. Wireless is a solid light, etc. Just can't give any commands since screen is blank. Any suggestions. Is this a defective printer?

Hey , Welcome to the HP forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here. I see that you are trying to enlarge the size of a document you are trying to print. While the specific directions will change depending on your operating system, the program you are using, and the type of document you want to print, I can certainly make sure you get pointed in the right direction. Assuming you are trying to print a text document (and please let me know if you are not) then first you will want to highlight the text you are trying to change the text of. Once highlighted you are looking for an option found at the top of most windows. The option usually has a font name to its left such as Times New Roman. When you select a larger font size it will change the highlighted text so that it matches the size you selected. I've included an image of the option below. If you are trying to print something that is not a text document then please let me know what program you are trying to print from as well as what operating system you are using. If you are not sure what your operating system is you can click here to find it. If you have any other questions please let me know. I just got my Photosmart 5512 all in one printer and I mainly got it to print out pictures.

I am having trouble with that. I have a big pack of the 4x6 photo paper and I try to print 4x6 pictures and I change the printing preferences to that size and hit print and it will not read my 4x6 paper. I try to place it in the middle and on the right side and it wont seem to read there is paper in there and keeps saying out of paper. I can only print 4x6 pictures on the 8x10 paper. Which is a big waste. Someone please help me figure out how to fix this.

I understand your concerns. When printing on photo paper the crucial step is changing the settings through the type of program you are printing from. Here is an HP document on How to Print 4 x 6 Photos Using the Printer Software.

My C5280 All in one printer flashes a blue screen with error B0248122.

It flashes a blue screen with a different B 8 digit number each time. All the buttons on the front flash yellow. I have to unplug it to turn it off. Occasionally it will say to turn it off and turn it back on, but it rarely solves the problem. This used to be an infrequent problem, only appering occasionally, now it is all the time and am not able to use my printer at all.
Any ideas?

I see you are experiencing a "run time error" when trying to run your printer assistant after installing the HP 1510 software drivers.
Here is a description of what a run time error is. Microsoft Run Time Error
This might be because you have an outdated operating system, anti-virus blocking etc. Please take some time to follow the 3 step procedure to see if that fixes the issue.
Here is also a separate way to download the drivers from the web instead of a disk. Just click the appropriate link - Install / Uninstall software & drivers

HP C4680 all in one printer out of alignement when printing avery business cards.

I recently purchased an HP C4680 all in one printer and have found
that it will not print Avery clean edge C32028-25 business cards. It
prints ok on plain paper and when you compare against the business card
sheet everything is in the correct position. However when you print the
actual cards the printed area creeps up the page and some of the print
is off the cards ruining the sheet. I am using avery design pro
software version 5. The print preview shows the printing area correctly.
Please advise of a fix for this issue.

I have the same problem with my HP Officejet Pro 8000 using Avery business cards. I don't think HP knows how to fix the problem. I was told by HP to select card stock as my paper type, but that is not on my menu. I may have to adjust my PageMaker template to counter the creep. You would think that this would be an adustment that could be made in the software. It amounts to 1/8" over the whole page. I don't plan on much help from HP since I have not received any help in the past.

Which printer drivers are you using? I had a real problem with one of these after an upgrade to 10.4.3 that required an archive & install of the OS and a reinstall of the printer and scanner drivers before it would work properly so I suggest you try that first.

It won't work with airplay, here is how I got it to work with OSX 10.9.4 fully patched;
you will need to use the serial cable to start the process:
In-brief Version:
0) Go grab the firmware update tool, the driver, and the scanner software
1) Turn off the firewall and antivirus (if you use it ??)
2) Update the firmware using the serial line
3) Reserve a static IP outside the DHCP range (using the MAC address of the printer) on your WAP server
4) Configure the printer to use a static IP through the front panel
5) Configure the printer WIFI with your SSID and net key through the front panel
6) Install the CUPS driver on your computer through the printer settings by specifying the static IP
7) Install the Scanner driver then go into the Control Center and add you computer and printer configuration
I generally use this kind of set up so that the printer comes back at the same place after a power failure in
the event that it has a crappy driver.
For those of you who need a little more help:
0) Turn off anti-virus and firewall software (it did seem to matter)
1) Go to the Brother Center and download 1) The firmware update tool, 2) the driver, 3) the scanner software
2) Go to the front panel on the printer: tools -> all settings -> network -> tcp/ip -> WLAN ; find the MAC address and write it down
3) Plug the printer in using the serial cable, it will auto detect and you will be able to talk to it.
4) Install the firmware update tool by double clicking on the dmg you downloaded
5) Update the firmware and the subfirmware (NOTE: this is a bit finicky -- you may have to unplug and replug it in a couple of times before it starts to talk with the device, after it starts the update process it frequently gives up in the middle, DO NOT unplug the device at this point, just select "retry" from the dialog and it will continue -- it will take about 15 mins or so.
6) Once the firmware is installed, go to your WAP server and look at the DHCP IP range; typically something like 10.0.1.2 to 10.0.1.200
7) If there is a capability to reserve an IP on your WAP server pick an IP outside the range in 6 (e.g. 10.0.1.201) and use the MAC address (from step 2) for the reservation... its fine if you don't reserve it -- this is an extra precaution -- just make sure you pick an IP outside the DHCP range
8) Go to the front panel on the printer: tools -> all settings -> network -> tcp/ip -> WLAN ; then set the IP address:
     boot method: static
     IP address: the address you chose in 7)
     mask: 255.255.255.0
     gateway: the IP of your router -- typically 10.0.1.1
8) Go to the front panel on the printer: tools -> wireless -> setup wizard -> let it find your network, select it, and enter your key.
9) Reboot the printer and check it connects to your wireless network
10) Go to the front panel on the printer, tools -> all settings -> print reports -> network configuration ; print the report and check the IP and MAC
are what you think they should be.
11) Go to your computer, bring up a terminal (applications->utilities->terminal)
12) Ping your printer to make sure its up and accessible -- type: "ping 10.0.1.201" (or whatever IP you used in step 7) and check you get a response -- not a timeout -- if it works disconnect the serial line and delete the (serial line) printer from the list of printers -- you won't need it anymore -- if not you screwed up somewhere along the line
13) Now the printer is on the wireless network, install the driver by double clicking the dmg. Then go to system preferences->printers & scanners
     click +
     in the add menu click IP
     enter your IP (from step 7)
     make sure the Protocol is IPP
     Name the printer and set its location
     Go to Use field, in the pull down menu select "Select Software"
     Go through the list and find the Brother MFC-9340CDW CUPS driver -- if its not there you screwed up installing it so go do it again.
14) Go back to the printer page -- select the printer, select Open Print Queue, then select Settings -- check the Driver Version is 4.1.0 -- if
it says 2 you are using the airplay version which seems to be buggered -- so you need to try again.
15) Go open a word document and print it -- smile you are nearly there
16) Install the scanner software by double clicking the dmg
17) Open the Control Center, under the Model: select Other
     Click +
     Select your printer
     Enter your computer name in the display name and click ok
18) Go into adobe Acrobat File->Create->PDF from Scanner (or whatever software you are scanning with)
19) Select "Brother TWAIN" from the scanner list -- if its not there you screwed up the scanner software installation -- go do it again
20) Put a document in the top of the printer and press scan -- wammo !
21) Turn back on your firewall (and antivirus if you have it -- why I can't imagine but what the ****)
22) Go ping the printer and make sure its still reachable (see step 12) -- if not you need to figure out what your antivirus is screwing up because the firewall is no problem
23) try printing and scanning again...
24) rejoice... your done.

You cannot print from the iPad to that printer. AirPrint and Bluetooth are completely different.
There may be apps you can buy that will enable using that printer, but that is not an ideal solution.
That particular printer has had many bad reviews, and is unreasonably expensive for its features. Considering that you just bought the printer, as well as its lack of AirPrint, I suggest you return it and buy a printer that supports AirPrint.

My HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One printer won´t print out documents, just pictures. I´ve used the printer, since it was new on the marked, and it has worked perfectly until a few weeks back. There is no problem printing out pictures, but only blank pages comes out when I´m printing out documents. Regardless if it is Word, Excel etc.
I´ve never used anything else than original cartridges, and the printer is used on Mac OS X 10.7.4. I´ve tried to reinstall the printer several times without any success.
Can anyone help me?

HP4710 all in one printer - just won't start up

HP4710 all in one printer start up screen display just keeps cycling but never gets to usual finish screen. Hence cannot even use HP diagnostic tool. Have tried the obvious stuff - ie on/ off button & disconecting/ reconnecting power but same happens. All fine until yesterday. Nothing has changed - except it now can't seem to complete it's boot up process. Is there any other soft or hard reset I can try?

I'm sorry but I don't understand your question. iTunes the software is a free download. Do you mean you bought a subscription to iTunes Match? If so, what do you mean that your music did not transfer to your second computer. Please describe the issue in as much detail as possible so we can better help you.
