Just wondering

I bought an Apple Nano, back in 2005 with the Apple Care plan, wich i'm glad i did, because resently my Nano died... The care plan work wonderfully and fast, and i recived a replacement Ipod, but the replacment seems to have a different serial number, is this Replacement pod under my old Apple Careplan, as i Have about another year left on it?
Thank you for your help, i might have put this in the wrong catorgory...

you could try to check how many days r left on the warrenty/care plan by entering your serial number into the support section.
