K-anonymity algorithm in sql

Hi,
does anyone have information on how to implemend k-anonymity algorithm with oracle or soemthing relevant?
I would be thankful if someone could help me.

I do not know if this helps, but you may want to try to use datapump
expdp remap_data=table_name.column_name:pkg.function ...
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28319/dp_export.htm#BABDCEDA
well, it is not possible in 10.2

    Hi All,
    Here the linked server is created between sql server 2012 64 bit and sql server 2005 32 bit. I am getting the below error  when i try to access linked server from third server. I have created linked from Instance 1 to Instance 2. When i access it from

  • Anonymous Block in SQL Developer

    I am using SQL Developer 3.1x and trying to run a pretty simple Anonymous block and am having trouble declaring a variable. This block runs successfully:
    set SERVEROUTPUT on
    --declare
    -- V_CRT := CHR(13);
    begin
    for t in (select owner, table_name from dba_tables where owner = 'ABC123)
    LOOP
    DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS(t.owner, t.table_name);
    end loop;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Statistics Calculations complete');
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Begin Record Counts');
    -- DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(v_crt);
    -- DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(V_CRT);
    end;
    If I remove my comments in an effort to include my Declare statement, I receive: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "=" when expecting one of the following
    How do I declare / initialize the variable "v_crt"? Admittedly this is a VERY basic Block but I just started to build out a more "robust" procedure and am getting stumped.
    Thank you for your help!

    The symbol *:=* is for assignment, not variable declaration. Just give the variable name and then its type, like this:DECLARE
      V_CRT VARCHAR2(13);You can give it a default value if you want to.DECLARE
      V_CRT VARCHAR2(13) := 'Hello';Looks like you want it to be a carriage return character.DECLARE
      V_CRT VARCHAR2(1) := CHR(13);

    Logic that should be used:
    1. Get the most recent row based on effective date and code in L or P-> In this case row 10 since this row has L and is latest one
    2. Then go back in time until the code is not in L or P -> so based on above data row 6 since the code is 'A'
    3. Then come forward from that record 6 until you get status LOA or PLA -> you will come and stand on row '8'
    4. finally i need the row_id = 8 as output based on the above steps
    Pls help me in framing a query for this

    Your effective dates are not unique, therefore it is impossible to decide which row with same effective date goes first. It is not possible to provide a deterministic solution until you define rules how to order rows with same effective date. Solution below is non-deterministic. Because you have rows with same effective date it can produce different results next time you run it. When you define ordering rules add them to ORDER BY clause of ROW_NUMBER function in below code. This will make it deterministic:
    with t1 as (
                select  e.*,
                        row_number() over(partition by emplid order by effective_start_date) rn
                  from  employee e
         t2 as (
                select  t1.*,
                        max(
                            case
                              when code in ('L','P') then rn
                            end
                          over(partition by emplid) last_l_p_rn,
                        last_value(
                                   case
                                      when code not in ('L','P') then rn
                                   end
                                   ignore nulls
                          over(partition by emplid order by rn) last_non_l_p_rn,
                        first_value(
                                    case
                                       when status in ('LOA','PLA') then rn
                                   end
                                   ignore nulls

  • No HS to remote SQL Server Data Source using NT Authentication?

    I am attemping to use Generic Connectivity to pull SQL Server 2000 data into 10g.
    We have the DSN configured, the oracle files modified properly (we have done similar setups before), and are able to successfully tnsping the SQL Server.
    However, after creating our database, when trying to execute a query against the remote source I receive the following error message:
    ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
    [Generic Connectivity Using ODBC][Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL
    Server]Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'. (SQL State: 28000;
    SQL Code: 18456)
    ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from IDW_LINK
    As the message indicates that the error is coming from the SQL Server, I assume a connection is being established.
    I remember reading postings here from a couple years back about HS not being able to connect to remote SQL Servers when NT Authentication is required. Is this still the case?
    I did in fact provide to the link my "domain\username", "password" combination that has access to the sql server, but this is of course using NT Authentication.
    Any ideas on why HS would be sending "NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS" to the sql server? Is this still the already existing problem of no NT Auth for remote data sources?

    Have you found a solution for this? Thanks.

  • How to send PLAIN text email from sp_send_dbmail using SQL Server 2008 R2?

    I have configured Database Mail in SQL Server 2008 R2 (64) and it sends emails just fine. However the destination is recieving the body of thes message as Base 64 encoding.
    Snippet:
    EXEC msdb..sp_send_dbmail @profile_name='Outmail', @recipients = @recpts, @subject = @subj, @body_format = 'TEXT', @body=@body2;
    As you can see I set @body_format to TEXT, but it still sends Base 64. I need to send plain ASCII text. How can I change this?

    I am having this exact issue too.  I have a trigger that sends an email using a stored procedure.  The dbmail is sending the email using the Exchange 2010 server SMTP.  It does not login so the email is relayed as user = "Anonymous".
    The SQL dbmail email header is showing the following:
    Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
    MIME-Version: 1.0
    X-MS-Exchange-Organization-AuthSource: MX01.domain.local
    X-MS-Exchange-Organization-AuthAs: Anonymous
    Here is the header if I send via Outlook profile using the legacy program I am trying to automate using SQL Server 2008R2:
    Content-Type: application/ms-tnef; name="winmail.dat"
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary
    MIME-Version: 1.0
    X-MS-Has-Attach:
    X-MS-Exchange-Organization-SCL: -1
    X-MS-TNEF-Correlator: <[email protected]>
    MIME-Version: 1.0
    X-MS-Exchange-Organization-AuthSource: MX01.domain.local
    X-MS-Exchange-Organization-AuthAs: Internal
    X-MS-Exchange-Organization-AuthMechanism: 03
    X-Originating-IP: [192.168.13.66]
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Storing the contents of a substitution or bind variable in a PL/SQL var

    Hi,
    I would like to create a substitution or bind variable to store the name of a sequence to use in SQLPlus and then reference this in a PL/SQL procedure and assign the contents of the substitution or bind variable in the PL/SQL variable. Is this possible?
    Regards,
    Sean

    A substitution variable can only be used in an anonyomous PL/SQL block, not a stored procedure. You would pass the sequence name in via an input parameter to that stored proc.
    In an anonymous block though:
    sql>declare
      2    v_seq_name  user_sequences.sequence_name%type;
      3    v_value     number;
      4  begin
      5    v_seq_name := '&seq_name';  -- assign substitution to variable
      6    execute immediate 'select ' || v_seq_name || '.nextval from dual' into v_value;
      7    dbms_output.put_line( v_value );
      8  end;
      9  /
    Enter value for seq_name: SEQ
    old   5:   v_seq_name := '&seq_name';
    new   5:   v_seq_name := 'SEQ';
    24
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

  • PL anonymous block does everything, but then gets stuck

    We have a PL/SQL block that loops through a cursor, and inserts data into another table. We're having a strange issue with it... Every single line of code within it appears to function correctly... It does everything we want it to. The last line on it calls a simple function that writes a record to a table we made, to indicate it has completed. It does that, and we can see the record is inserted successfully.
    The problem: even though we can see it did everything, it gets "stuck". If we run it as a anonymous block, the sql plus session will just stay stuck. Same thing if we turn it into a procedure and invoke it. It just stays stuck. Viewing it from OEM... We can see the session as "active", but it doesn't show that it's currently executing anything.
    How can we go about figuring out what the problem is?
    We've tried it on four databases... All windows platforms.. Three were oracle 10g, one was Oracle 11g. One more interesting note: one of the 10g ones... the problem does not occur... the script finishes fine. But, we don't know what is different about this database from the others.
    We also notice the problem doesn't happen if we limit the amount of records... the initial cursor we process, if we limit it using "rownum < 100" or something like that, it will also always finish fine.
    This is the script:
    set echo on
    set serveroutput on

    Avoid row-at-a-time processing if at all possible (cursor for loops, periodic commits, etc).
    Try adding some calls to dbms_application_info.set_module (or set_action) in order to find out where your code is.

  • PL/SQL Solution for Converting Long to VarChar2

    I recently had to convert a bunch of text stored in Long fields to a new VarChar2(2000) field in the same table.
    As you know if you've ever tried, you can't use a basic SQL the update statement will not do this, e.g. update table1 set field2 = field1 (where field2 is VarChar(2000) and field1 is Long) fails as does update table1 set field2 = substr(field1, 1, 2000).
    Interestingly PL/SQL's implementation of SubStr does work with Long fields. I was able to put together the following anonymous PL./SQL block to accomplish the task (msgtext is varchar(2000), msgtext2 is Long):
    DECLARE
    CURSOR message_cur
    IS
    SELECT ROWID, msgtext, msgtext2
    FROM tlrcmmessages
              FOR UPDATE;
    message_rec message_cur%ROWTYPE;
    BEGIN
    OPEN message_cur;
    LOOP
    FETCH message_cur
    INTO message_rec;
    EXIT WHEN message_cur%NOTFOUND;
    UPDATE tlrcmmessages
    SET msgtext = SUBSTR(message_rec.msgtext2, 1, 2000)
    WHERE CURRENT OF message_cur;
    END LOOP;
    CLOSE message_cur;
    END;
    I hopes this helps others out there in similar circumstances.
    Good luck,

    Oracle strongly recommends to convert LONG fields into CLOB:

    I have an on-change 'set-value' DA on the number field with a set type of 'PL/SQL Function Body'.
    Currently the function body is simply "return '1234';".
    This works unless I specify 'Page Items to Submit'. Once I do this, the recipient field is no longer populated and FireBug console reports the following error:

    P.S. Fixed my anonymous block issue as well. Could you post the following from your Execute PL/SQL Code action please?
    PL/SQL Code

    Page Items to Return
    My guess is there's something conflicting in there, that's where I was going wrong.
    Thanks,

  • Executing Procedures in sql Developer

    Hi ,
    I'm new to SQL Developer and trying to explore the tool . I have written a procedure as
    create or replace PROCEDURE SAMPLE2 AS
    studName Varchar2(8) ;
    BEGIN
    SELECT Stud1.NAME INTO studName
    FROM Stud1
    WHERE Stud1.NAME = 'SOM';
    END ;
    It has compiled perfectly .
    Now when I run by right clicking it works
    But when I'm running it using
    BEGIN
    exec SAMPLE2()
    END;
    or
    BEGIN
    SAMPLE2()
    END;
    it is giving error .
    Morover can you tell me how I can view the data after running the procedure .

    See Executing Anonymous Blocks in SQL Developer
    Remember statements always need to end with ;

  • SAP HANA One and Predictive Analysis Desktop - Time Series Algorithms

    I have been working on a Proof-of-Concept project linking the SAP Predictive Analysis Desktop application to the SAP HANA One environment.
    I have modeled that data using SAP HANA Studio -- created Analytic views, Hierarchies, etc. -- following the HANA Academy videos.  This has worked very well in order to perform the historical analysis and reporting through the Desktop Application.
    However, I cannot get the Predictive Analysis algorithms -- specifically the Time Series algorithms -- to work appropriately using the Desktop tool. It always errors out and points to the IndexTrace for more information, but it is difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of the issue.  The HANA Academy only has videos on Time Series Algorithms using SQL statements which will not work for my user community since they will have to constantly tweak the data and algorithm configuration.
    In my experience so far with Predictive Analysis desktop and the Predictive Algorithms, there is a drastic difference between working with Local .CSV / Excel files and connecting to a HANA instance.  The configuration options for using the Time Series Algorithms are different depending upon the data source, which seems to be causing the issue.  For instance, when working with a local file, the Triple Exponential Smoothing configuration allows for the specification of which Date field to use for the calculation.  Once the data source is switched to HANA, it no longer allows for the Date field to be specified.  Using the exact same data set, the Algorithm using the local file works but the HANA one fails.
    From my research thus far, everyone seems to be using PA for local files or running the Predictive Algorithms directly in HANA using SQL.  I can not find much of anything useful related to combing PA Desktop to HANA.
    Does anyone have any experience utilizing the Time Series Algorithms in PA Desktop with a HANA instance?   Is there any documentation of how to structure the data in HANA so that it can be properly utilized in PA desktop?
    HANA Info:
    HANA One Version: Rev 52.1
    HANA Version: 1.00.66.382664
    Predictive Analysis Desktop Info:
    Version: 1.0.11
    Build: 708
    Thanks in advance --
    Brian

    Hi,
    If you use CSV or XLS data source you will be using Native Algorithm or R
    Algorithm in SAP Predictive Analysis.
    When you connect HANA, SAP Predictive Analysis uses PAL Algorithm which runs
    on HANA server.
    Coming to your question regarding difference,
    In SAP PA Native Algorithm, we could provide the Data variable, Algorithm
    picks the seasonal information from the Data column. Both R and SAP HANA PAL
    does not support Date Column. We need configure seasonal information in
    Algorithm properties.
    R Properties
    1) Period : you need to mention the periodicity of the Data
    Monthly : (12)
    Quarter : (4)
    Custom : you can use it for week or Daily or hourly.
    2) Start Year: need to mention Start year.
    Start year is not used by algorithm for calculating Time series, but it helps
    PA to generate Visualization ( Time series chart) by simulating year and
    periodicity information.
    3) Starting Period:
    if your data is Quarterly and you have data recordings from Q2, mention 2 in
    start period.
    Example.
    If the data periodicity is Monthy and my data starts from Feb 1979, we need to provide following information,
    Period: 12
    Start year: 1979
    start Period: 2
    PAL Properties. : Same as properties defined in R.
    Thanks

  • Application Developed in Apex 3.2 is not working Apex 4.1

    Hi,
    We have few application developed using oracle apex 3.2 and oracle 10g enterprise edition as the database also have a Apache tomcat server configured in the system. These application are running fine have no issue in production instance.
    I recently installed Oracle Apex 4.1 and Oracle 10g Express Edition in my local machine to test these application in oracle 4.1. I took the same database dump and installed in the local machine no issues with the database side. I installed the application that are developed in 3.2 and installed in new local instance but this is not working.
    It show >>Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
    Please suggest me what might be the issue how to trouble shoot this issue.

  • How do i change SSRS authentication to a service account from a person account?

    I have set up a SQL Express 2012 Reporting Service as follows :-
    In the RS Configuration Manager :-
    Use Build in A/c ---> Local System
    SSL Certificate ----> Blank.
    Execution account ----> Blank
    In the Report Manager, New Role Assignment section
    BUILTIN\Administrator ---> Content Manager
    MyDomainName\MyUserID ----> (All actions)
    NT AUTHORITY\IUSR ----> (All actions)
    In the web.config of the ASP.NET accessing this Report server
    ReportServerUsername ----> UserName of a person in the domain
    ReportServerPassword -----> Password of this person in the domain
    ReportServerDomainname -----> Domain name
    In the rsreportservice.config file in the Program Files/ReportingServer
    <AuthenticationTypes>
    <RSWindowsNegotiate/>
    <RSWindowsNTLM/>
    </AuthenticationTypes>
    In the ASPX.cs page which calls the Reports in the ReportServer
    creating instance of Report Server Credentials as follows :-
    IReportServerCredentials irsc = new CustomReportCredentials(strReportServerUsername, sstrReportServerPassword, strReportServerDomainname); rpt.ServerReport.ReportServerCredentials = irsc;
    The CustomReportCredentials Class is as follows
    public class CustomReportCredentials : IReportServerCredentials { private readonly string _userName; private readonly string _passWord; private readonly string _domainName;
    public CustomReportCredentials(string userName, string passWord, string domainName)
    _userName = userName;
    _passWord = passWord;
    _domainName = domainName;
    public System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity ImpersonationUser
    get { return null; }
    public ICredentials NetworkCredentials
    get { return new NetworkCredential(_userName, _passWord, _domainName); }
    public bool GetFormsCredentials(out Cookie authCookie, out string user,
    out string password, out string authority)
    authCookie = null;
    user = password = authority = null;
    return false;
    My question :- Since i dont want the Windows UserName and Password of the user to be the authenticating identity, and replace it with NT AUTHORITY\IUSR, how do i do it ? If i replace User name in Web.config with NT AUTHORITY\IUSR and password = "".
    i get 401.
    Chak

    Hi chakira,
    If I understood correctly, you want the NT AUTHORITY\IUSR to be able to access SQL Server Reporting Service(SSRS).
    For security concerns, it is not suggested. Enable NT AUTHORITY\IUSR the access to SSRS means everyone can access the SSRS. Please don't use it in production environment!
    Anyway, if you would still like to know how to do it, please follow these steps:
    Remove the credential set to rpt.ServerReport. It means the following two lines code can be commented. Without a explicit credential, the default credential "NT AUTHORITY\IUSR" will be used.
    IReportServerCredentials irsc = new CustomReportCredentials(strReportServerUsername, sstrReportServerPassword, strReportServerDomainname); rpt.ServerReport.ReportServerCredentials = irsc;
    Enable anonymous access for SSRS, follow by this article:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jameswu/archive/2008/07/15/anonymous-access-in-sql-rs-2008.aspx
    Here is the disclaimer again:
    DO NOT USE ANONYMOUS AUTH!
    NEVER USE IT IN PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT!
    Thanks,
    Jinchun Chen
