Keeping the values in Request bean across more than 2 pages
Hi...,
I have created a Bean with request scope & want to access it across 3 different pages.
From the 1st page once I submit the values , I do a forward (redirect=no) to the second page where I can print the values . From the 2nd page I then do a forward to the 3rd page (redirect=no) & I loose the values.
How do I keep the request bean active across multiple pages. But I don't want to make it session as this is a form to enter values & our users might open multiple forms as the same time.

your scope is wrong. Since you run a JSP page and you want it available everywhere, the only thing that all pages have common is session. So changing your bean scope to session will keep the bean variables and the rest you have on it.
Try it and let me know. -
Make sure that your bean is implementing the serializable interface and that
you are accessing the bean from the session with the same name.

How to delete formula from cells and keep the values in Excel VBA
Hi,
In my Excel I have 15 columns. In column F which has a formula (INDEX MATCH), it has contains "RECEIVED" and "INTRANSIT". I need to filter the column F for all "RECEIVED" and then remove the formula from cells and
retain or keep the values that are already in the cells. something tricky and i'm not sure on how to work on this in Excel VBA.

ok, so i bought a imac 27 about 4 months ago, and now they release a new one! ****... So my question is, should I sell this one (which by the way is the i5 2.8 with 1 gb 5750 and 4gb ram) and buy the new imac 27 i5,or keep the one i have and buy more ram. I mostly use my computer for photoshop cs5 and illustrator cs5 for graphics out put as well as surfing the web and music.
Please give me you thoughts on what I should do!! Thanks lot!The new iMac is about 25% or so faster than your current iMac(comparable model would be the 3.1ghz version). There are a couple of things that you will benefit from such as the dual Thunderbolt/Mini Display ports/ which may help with multitasking. The video card in the new iMac again the comparable model being the 3.1ghz is a lotttttttt better than the current one that you have. So thinking of the long run those few things may be beneficial for you to upgrade(but it depends on what is important to you).
I had the 2.93ghz i7 version that I just bought in March this year and I turned around and sold it about a week before the new iMac's were announced. I got about $1600 for it, yeah I took a loss but to me it was worth it because my new iMac performs that much better. Now keep in mind I went from i7 to i7...3.4ghz i7 with the 2gb video card. Now I have dual thuderbolt/mini display ports. I have noticed significant gains in my video editing and also in my gaming. So to me it was definitely worth the upgrade!
One last thing, I would not have sold my 2.93 i7 and then bought the 3.1ghz i5, the big reason is because HT(hyper threading), it's only on the i7 model(3.4ghz)... If you take a look at some of the bench marks on engadget, maclife, macrumors, macworld, ****Barefeats.com(they really get into benchmarking)*** you will see charts that will help you make a better decision.
In closing I would say look into it, if you can get a good price out of your current iMac to put toward a new iMac then do it. Like others have mentioned to you, tech changes and Apple will change the tech in these machines next year or do a speed bump later this year or so. One last thing if you go from the 2.8 i5 up to the 3.4 i7, you would definitely see the difference (HT is a must especially for programs that utilize it. You can go to my youtube channel(mob1278) and take a look at my geekbench results.... my 2.93 i7 scored around 10500-11000(8gb ram)...my 3.4 i7 scores from 12700-13000 with 4gb ram....so yeah as you can see big difference. Basically the 3.4 i7 would perform similar or just under a 2.4ghz 8core 2010 Mac Pro which runs you about $3500 with no monitor.... it's your money spend it how you want....and Lion is only going to push it even more when it is released! -

How do you get the integer of a number with more than 10 digits
I can't seem to be able to get the integer of a number with more than 10 digits.
ex:
integer(12345678901.3) returns -539222987 when it should really return 12345678901

At this point you can only add two "BigInts" and print out the value with a toString() function. Note that you pass a String to the "BigInt" constructor.

if you need to create an appropriate content structure, you have to consider many aspects. If the amount of content is small, many of these aspects are not that important, but if the number of elements/pages are getting larger, they will get important.
One aspect to know is the way how this content is accessed. Is your primary access pattern search or browse? In the search case the location of an element can be quite random, but when you browse you will follow an (intuitive) pattern.
Another aspect is the the kind of access. Do you have many create/delete operations? Only read?
Then: Are these content elements maintained by the system itself (for example by an automatic importer) or are editors required to work on these elements?
The better you can answer such questions, the better it's possible to model a content structure. In practice of CQ5/CRX a few patterns have established like
Natural Hierarchy (like: continent/country/state or brand/branch/product/)
A total ordering of all elements can be established (like postal codes: There you can structure by the orders of the numbers: 5368 could become /5/3/6/8)
A total ordering of elements is being created artificially by hashing methods. This approach cannot/should not be used for content which is maintained by humans.

Can an entity bean represent more than one phyical table in the database? (i.e. span tables) If so, how is it coded up?
Yes, probably either using BMP entity beans, or creating a database view of the two tables.
However, the actual implementation depends a lot on your database and EJB container. Since I didn't see any details of these in your post, I suggest you research the documentation for both your EJB container and database.
[Of-course, I'm assuming that you are already using a database and EJB container :-]

As you know when you submit any request throigh concurrent manager . The request completed normal or give warning or error .
My probelm I have request running for more than one day .but I don't know right tool how invetigate about this issue .
I checked alert log and database lock but nothing wierd .
We are using 11.5.10.2 with 10.2.0.4 DB .

My events on the iPad iCal app aren't shown in the year view if they are more than two years in the future even though I can see them on the month, week and day view. Any suggestions on how to fix it? I've tried it all. I called the apple support and they checked on their iPads. They all did the same and they couldn't help me. They suggested trying this way. I'd like to be able to plan a few years ahead and the year view would make thing so easy!
Is this a bug?Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.
Then reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem. -
How do I turn off the feature that allows the duplication of App downloads to more than one phone? As in my wife downloads an app and I get a dulpicate download on my phone.
To disable that feature it will depend on whether or not you sync everything in the cloud using Apple's iCloud, OR if you both use the same desktop/laptop computer with iTunes. How can i use the same front panel graph in more than one events in an event structure?
i want to display the signals from my sensorDAQ in a graph.but i have more than one event in the event structure to acquire the signal and display it in the graph.the first event is to acquire the threshold signals and its displayed in the graph as a feedback.after the first event is executed, i will call the second event,where the further signals are acuired and compared with the threshold signals from the event 1.my question is how can i use the same front panel control in more than two events in the event structure?please answer me i'm stuck.
