Keytool.exe : does it take a predefined list of values?

Hi:
I have an installer program that installs an application.
I want to run keytool.exe in order to generate a certif for my SSL application during my installer execution. I would prefer to ask the keytool questions to the user in the beginning, get the answers and store them in a list instead of running keytool and then prompting the user to enter from the command line.
I was wondering whether there is any way that I can pass that list as a set of answers to the keytool questions from the command line.
ie when keytool runs, it would take each element in the list as an answer to each of its questions and then run to completion.
C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_03\bin>keytool.exe -genkey -keyalg RSA -keystore C:\mykeystore.jks -storepass 123456Thanks a lot!

Hi Franco,
You can not do that and lock out other options etc.
Anyone can choose to set a username and password for people but there are a number of improved security features even recently that makes the above not possible or viable. But to be honest when I read your post I was shaking my head. You need to tell them not to even think to do this, that is entirely unsecure, not safe, risky and bad practise to even consider doing that in this day an age.
With the system once a password has been added in the admin or created as an admin you are not able to see any passwords. They all appear **** so there is no way to indentify what those are.
At any time if a person has forgot or wants to reset their password they can do and change it to something else.No password is sent as text in emails any more, it is only a recovery link.
People should have unique usernames and passwords and choose ones they want, the system also needs a minimum of 6 characters for a password. I am sure BC will at some point update it further to be more secure to require at least one number and capital letter for example too.

I currently have a input text field.
How do I convert to a "Input List of values".
I do have the lookup VO that needs to be used in the list of values.
I tried the "right click" -> convert -> that does not show the "Input List of values".
    Thanks

create lov popup manually..have af:inputText (set autoSubmit to true) & af:commandImageLink (get magnifier image from adf image lib). within af:commandImageLink invoke popup.
    create af:popup
    d&d vo as table
to search pass inputText binding and execute vo
have a ok button and get the selected row value

  • Tasklist.exe does not list all Modules in Windows 7 64-bit

tasklist.exe does not list all Modules in Windows 7 64-bit.
If I want to look at the DLLs loaded by Excel, I would type:
      tasklist /M /fi "imagename eq excel.exe"
When I run this in XP or 32-bit Win7, it works fine, showing all the dlls loaded by excel.  However, in 64-bit windows, it does NOT show all dlls - only a limited subset.  If I use Process Explorer, I can still see all the DLLs loaded by excel,
but that is useless for writing automated scripts.
To check this out, try looking for kernel32.dll - it is always loaded by Excel, but tasklist does not display it in 64-bit Win7:
       tasklist /M kernel32.dll /fi "imagename eq excel.exe"
So, since tasklist is broken, is there a good (command-line) way of looking at what dlls are loaded by a process?

  • How long does it take for the custom field created in SFDC to show up in the field mapping list?

How long does it take for the custom field created in SFDC to show up in the field mapping list? I hit the refresh field button, but it is not showing up after 5 min. Do I just need to have patience?

    Hi,
What do you have to do to the field in SFDC to make it accessible so that it shows up in the Eloqua field mapping area as a field to be mapped?

  • "How long does it take to do a dist-upgrade on your distro?"

Yesterday there was a question in the USALUG.org "How long does it take to do a dist-upgrade on your distro?"
This question was a good question, so I decide to make the ultimate test. I have a lot of computers standing here around, and remembered that on one of them was have already Archlinux installation. I was right, when I booted, the system check said me, that the system was 253 days not checked anymore. I got so excited that I forgot to check was it one of my 0.7.2 Gimmick or 0.8 Voodoo installations.

definitely. By contrast, here's a regular upgrade on my debian box -- out of the blue it's having some problem with one of the packages, and it's turning into a regular recursive nightmare.

It's so "delicate" and temperamental compared to the no-nonsense, straightforward approach of Arch. If one little thing is off, the entire system has a hissy-fit and won't do anything until you hunt the internet high and low searching for a solution, encountering all the debian hawks along the way who are ready to rip your head off at the first suggestion that debian isn't directly from god and could have a problem. Imo, Arch is the best linx distro hands down. Nothing else even comes close.

  • What does it take to get an app on the Ovi store?

What does it take to get an app on the ovi store?  There are so many apps available that are not included in the ovi store.... like "s60spoton"  It allows you to use your cameras flash as a flash light! I've been wanting this forever.  If this app was easily available on the Ovi store, I would have been able to find it easily... but it was linked to me in a forum.
Why are there so many useful apps not cataloged in the Ovi store?

It's the maker of an apps responsibility to get it listed on the store so if it's not on there it's because the maker hasn't put it there.
Nokia cannot put apps on the store without the makers consent.
Only the maker/publisher of an app can tell you why their app isn't on the store. It may be for financial reasons, legal reasons, licensing issues, piracy concerns or they may just have ceased development and moved on.
The ovi store isn't the only source of applications and some developers prefer to use independant sites like www.getjar.com instead.

  • What does it take

    Hey guys
I have iCaht AV 2.1 and a Powerbook g4 etc etc and I am trying to set up a chat with my Dad in Australia on an IBM thinkpad running Windows XP and AIM Trillion or whatever it is.
What does it take to ACTUALLY have a 2-way Video chat coz NOTHING we are doing is working.... I have read REAMS of stuff on this forum - Ralph has established my computer can actually recieve and send both video and audio... but it just will NOT work. What is the BEST modem and broadband provider here in the UK and in Australia???
What does it take to actually make it work???
If nothing works - I want my money back from buying a completely USELESS iSight to do this..... It would be easier to book satellite time and use a flyaway kit complete with crews either end than to try to use this to have 2-ways......
    AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
    G4 PowerBook 1.25gHz   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Among the reams, have you looked at Mac Video Chat with PCs?
Both of you should test with others. You can find some robot ("Autoresponder") and human Buddy Names for iChat Test here if you need them. Testing will help you find whose system needs the most attention.
Since you have now apparently connected with Ralph, it seems your computer can connect. Has your Dad tried others? Perhaps the problem is at Dad's end. If so, the list of things for the PC to check in my link above should be helpful.
Check your Broadband Speed. Some Australian broadband can be on the slow side. Therefore, if your Dad already subscribes to the maximum bandwidth that is available from his Australian ISP, he should be particularly careful that his AIM "Video Quality" is not set too high (as explained in the "Mac Video Chat with PCs" link.)

    Thanks so much!!!

  • Exactly what does the Data Drop-down List do?

What does the Data Drop-down List do? Is it used to make a drop-down list from certain records in a column in a table of a data base?

Yes, this is exactly what it does. However, it's a custom control, not a built-in control. JavaScript is used to set it up. In order to use it you have to have a data connection in the document and modify the "Initialize" script, which is were the list is populated from the DB. The "Initialize" code is a good example of how to use XFA JavaScript to access a DB. However, the code is also written in a very general manor and takes the long way around to hooking up to the DB. Much shorter code can be written for a specific DB.

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
The switch /control indicates that you can take the control of the session which you have taken. Generally when we take remote desktop session we will already get the control of that session but in some case where some administrator will not give full access
or control of remote session to the user. At that if they know this option they can use to control that remote session.
Use command line parameters with Remote Desktop Connection

    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • CS4 Setup.exe does nothing in XP

I've looked through the forums and found one post about this, and I'm sure someone else has posted about it or solved it, but I can't locate it.
I finally got CS4 Design Premium to extract after 2 days of working through it. It extracted with no errors. However, clicking on Setup.exe does nothing. It shows in the task manager, but does nothing. Runing XP home, SP3, as admin.
I found one link about running a javascript.dll. I ran that one line of code and it didn't change anything.
    Any ideas?

  • How long does it take the 'Do Not Disconnect' screen to disappear?

How long does it take the 'Do Not Disconnect' screen to disappear?
I Just got my ipod nano a week ago. I put maybe 10 songs on there and then today, since I had some time, decided to start creating my library. By the time I decided to stop and plug in my nano so it can update, i had like 219 songs that had to be transferred. I watched each song on iTunes go to the ipod like usual and then my list that comes up when you select "__ ipod" is all grayed out like it's still updating. On the top of the iTunes screen, it says ipod update is complete though, and of course, my ipod has been saying do not disconnect for the past hour and a half with the battery fully charged. Does it really take that long for it to finish synching my songs? I mean I know I had a lot of songs to put on there put geez!

    Hi CocoaVixen718
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
Try ejecting your iPod from iTunes. You might want to look at Knowledge Base Document #61685 about The "Do Not Disconnect" Message and Knowledge Base Document #93492 explains How to Safely Disconnect the iPod.

  • How Long does it take for a NEW PODCAST to appear in iTunes?

I was curious if maybe you know the answer to this question- How long does it take for a brand new podcast, once submitted to iTunes, to appear in the podcast section of iTunes? Does it really take 5 days? And, will I receive an email once it's on there? Thanks!
    -hdtvguru

    Hi,
I found the answer to this question after doing two podcasts.
It takes about week and half to be fully listed. When you first submit you receive an automated email. Emailed to the email address of your podcast feed. Then your podcast page is created for itune store and you receive another email that it's approved. You should receive this email sometimes two days after you received the first but it still won't be browse able until another few weeks(ie. listed in category). In the mean time don't remove your podcast feed file from your hosting account and don't make changes which will change the link to the feed you submitted.
The only other part I couldn't figure out was why podcasts episodes don't come up when keywords from episode sections of podcast feed are typed in itune search box.
