Knowing how many people is connected to my airport express

I have an airport express and is encrypted how ever I would like to know how many people is connected to it, is this posible?

I would like to see things like who's connected to my airport express, and whether the airport has been able to get an IP address from the DSL modem, and so on.
Can the airport management tools do this? I tried installing the version linked from www.apple.com/support/airport, but got the error "This application requires Airport 3.4 or later." However, I've installed Airport 4.2 already.
Is the shareware Airport Monitor Utility the only way to go for this? I had a hard time interpreting a lot of the information it was giving me...
thanks in advance for the reply,
aram

  • How many people can connect to the mail server 3

I am looking to grow my business which consist of a growing email base with emails that need to be set up and managed.  How many emails can be hosted on the mac server?

    Hello Thomas,
"MAXLOGMEMBERS" has nothing to do with the number of users that can connect to the instance. It is a parameter to control the number of files that can be assigned to a group of (redo) log files.
how many people can connect at Oracle XE?Well, that depends on how they connect. There are parameters controlling the number of sessions in the database. But if you have a technical user, e.g. when using APEX, there may be more users than sessions in the database...
So you need to clarify what kind of user access you mean.

  • How can I know how many people subscribded to my podcast ?

How can I know how many people subscribded to my podcast ?
Is there a tool or something ?
    See ya !!
    Steph

This depends on where you have your podcast hosted. Some ISPs provide logs of access to pages and downloads: if your podcast is embedded in a web page then some ISPs provide facilites for a hits counter (though this wouldn't necessarily show how many people had bothered to listen to it).
However if your podcast is hosted on .Mac then there are no such facilities provided, and it's not something you can do from your end, it would have to be on the server. Similarly the iTunes store doesn't provide any way of tracking subscribers.

  • How many people can't connect to other iSight users?

    Hi everyone,
A few months ago, before Tiger and iChat 3.0, two members of my family and I noticed that we suddenly stopped being able to connect with each other using either video or audio chat. We all use iChat and all have iSights. Different macs. Same OS. Even after we all upgraded to iChat 3.0 we still get error messages like "insufficient bandwidth" and "user did not respond" even though we all use cable modems, no routers, and our firewalls are configured properly (even when turned off it doesn't matter). None of us are able to connect with each other, which would appear to eliminate the possibility of one malfunctioning computer. For months we have worked with the Apple tech guys to find an answer. They have told us in the past that they were aware of the problem and were working on a patch, but that was a long time ago and no patch materialized.
Because tech support was unable to come up with a solution, we took our case up with upper level Apple management. We were recently told that no such problem has been brought to their attention, and if it did, it is likely the fault of misconfigured ISPs. How can that be? We use companies like Comcast and Time Warner, if it was a problem on their end wouldn't lots of people have complained? Even if it's true, what are we supposed to do about it? I'm starting to feel like we're being given the runaround and am getting close to demanding my money back on the three iSights we bought.
I would like to know, how many other iSight users have encountered similar problems with connecting to other iSight users and been unable to fix them?
Searching through this forum I have found a few postings from people who seem to have similar problems, but I'd like to confirm that we are not alone--and of course would love to know if anyone has found a solution!
    Thanks,
    Tony

    Ok:
I do not post too frequently in this discussion group, but i have found at least one solution to the "Can't get video from the camera" error message in iChat after upgrading to Tiger 10.4.3. I have a feeling there may be several other types of errors that cause this problem but here is what ultimately worked.
MY PROBLEM - computer seemed to work fine -- first noted problem was not being able to start either audio or video chat in iChat. It had work prior to upgrading to 10.4.3.
    Equipment:
Titanium G4 powerbook 1Ghz; 100gig HD (6mo. new.) , 512 MB RAM, iSight, iChat 3.0, QT 7.0.3, Airport base station (not the Extreme) and there is an Airport Express in the house.
    FAILED ATTEMPTS TO FIX:
Tried to perform basic repairs. Repairing permissions seemed to work -but had no effect on problem, Combo Updater 10.4.3 installed smoothly - but had no effect on problem, reverting to QT 7.0.1 also installed smoothly, but had no effect. Running Disk Repair from the OS X CD should "INVALID KEY ERRORS" UNABLE TO REPAIR DISK. Also, computer failed to boot in safe mode.
HERE IS THE WHAT WORKED: NO MORE "CAN"T GET VIDEO FROM THE CAMERA" ERRORS and iCHAT works fine, even with new QT 7.0.3 and ARD running.
    -Downloaded DISK WARRIOR 3.0.3
-Installed on different MAC that was no having problem (it was running Panther.)
-Plugged problem plagued mac into firewire port of second computer and started it up as a Firewire HD (hold "T" key while starting)
-Ran Rebuild function on Disk warrior. A ton of disc problems were found and corrected. Some corrupted files were copied to a separate folder. Process took nearly an hour.
-replaced and saved new directory information.
-Shutdown problem computer (just press the power key)
-unplug the firewire cable connecting the two computers.
    -restart problem computer.
-After booting up - run Disk utility and repair permissions.
    -Restart
-after booting - run sooftware update - It should ask you to Reinstall QT 7.0.3 -- go ahead and do this.
    - Restart after installation finishes.
    - Run repair permissions again.
    - Check that you are runninig both 10.4.3 and QT 7.0.3.
    -Start iChat.
I have a feeling that most of these problems with iChat are being caused by plist corruptions and errors that occur during software updates. So not every one will have the exact same problem but I suspect most problems will be fixed by repairing the drive and the permissions.
    Hope this helps
    Bryan

  • HT204380 When using facetime how many people can you be connected to at one given time? The reason for this question is I would like to utilize facetime for conference call meetings.

When using facetime, how many people can you be connectedto at once? The reason I ask this question is, I am wanting to conduct teleconference meetings with my staff who are spread out throughout the state and I would like to be able to have seven people in total connected to facetime at once.

Currently only one person. A lot of users want to be able to FT multiple users.
Send feedback to Apple requesting it. Maybe in a future iOS update or iPad it will be available.

  • How many people can be on the system with a 512 K connection in BPC 7 MS

    Hi,
It appears that BPC uses a large piece of the band width and more than one computer and user with a 512 K connection using BPC will not work. How many people can be on the system with a 512 K connection? -BPC 7 ms version.
    Thx
    PLN

I would like to precise more things regarding the network.
I did a case study for one customer and really to have good performances with SAP BPC client the network required the follow:
    Bandwitdth 1024kb/s
Latency smaller than 200 ms between BPC client and BPC server
Otherwise the users will experience problems:
    1. IBandwitdh < 1024Kb/s then to download 80 MB or more (templates + dimensions) will require a lot of time and that's means the login time will be very slow every time when a dimension is changed or security is process
    2. When an report is executed (a medium report not very complex report) around 100 mesage are send between bpc client and server. So if latency > 200 ms than a simple calculation is saying just into network it will be lost 200 * 100 ms = 20 s.
So for a report which normally is taking 5 - 10 second it will take 30s or even more into client with latency bigger than 200 ms.
    Regards
    Sorin Radulescu

  • How many computers can connect to wireless?

Hello, and thank you for reading!
We have a 2 TB Time Capsule with 802.11n wireless, and I was wondering if anyone knew what the maximum number of computers this thing can handle for wireless internet?
It's in a small office but occasionally we get 40 people with laptops in, and we've seen some wonky behavior during peak times. The guy who set it up made some mistakes with the networking and DHCP range, but I fixed those. Now I'm just wondering if anyone knows approximately how many people we can reliably connect to this station at once?
    thanks,

  • How many users can connect to a shared drive on a non-server workstation?

How many users can connect to a shared drive on a non-server workstation? We're waiting for our server to arrive and in the interum we're using a Pegasus 2 R6 attached to an iMac running Mavericks as our fileserver. It's been sketchy, the connection to the server being dropped once in a while or the inability to mount the drive after a week of success. The Pegasus we're using now will be attached to a server once it arrives. For now I need to figure what's coausing trouble before I commit to this being our main storage as planned. The data is backed up every night so I'm not worried, its the usability issues. 5-7 people are mounting this drive and opening/saving at the same time. Is there a limit to Maverick's fileserving ability that may be causing this? Understandable if so.

The file server in the client version of OS X has a default limit of 10 simultaneous connections. That limit can be raised by installing OS X Server, or lowered by setting a hidden preference. Assuming you've done neither, you may be able to solve the problem temporarily by stopping and restarting file sharing in the Sharing preference pane, or permanently by setting another hidden preference on the server to break idle connections quickly.
defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleFileServer idleDisconnectOnOff -bool YES
Stop and restart file sharing. To reverse the change, run this command in the same way:
defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleFileServer idleDisconnectOnOff -bool NO
Credit for this solution to ASC member suter:
this file server will not allow any additional users to log on

  • Have you officially joined BPX?  How many people have you invited?

For those who are watching the Business Process Expert "general discussion" forum:
The first question is: <b>Have you officially joined the BPX Community here? </b>
If so, <u>thank you</u>.  You are one of the 8,328 people who have already joined in only the first four weeks of this community being available.  Note, too, that we're still in "sneak preview" mode so we haven't even done any announcements or awareness campaigns!  You're in on the "ground floor" with visionaries and leaders.
If you're not an official member yet, please join ... just go to the top of the page in the header under "Profile Management," see the category for "Update Profile," and check the box at the very bottom of that page that says "I would like to join the new Business Process Expert (BPX) Community."  Of course it's free and you get the benefits of posting forum questions and answers, blogging, etc. etc.
Please also sign-up for the newsletter while you're already on that page.  More than 100,000 people already subscribe and find it valuable.  We send a newsletter approximately every two weeks to highlight just a few of the new items and topics -- mostly as a reminder to return to the online community area(s) if you're not already in the good habit of doing so.
Second question is: <b>How many people have you referred to this new community with the recommendation to join?</b>
If you've invited at least three people who have joined, then "<u>thank you</u>!"  If they are new members of BPX and SDN (and if they used your name/email as a referrer when they joined), then you received award points as our thanks.
If you haven't yet invited at least three colleagues to join, please do so.  We think it'll help them in their jobs and careers, and we think it'll help you in your work with them (they're smarter, better informed, on the same page with their colleagues -- including you...).
Thank you for your membership, participation, and for spreading the word.
    Mark Y.

I have had numerous issues. Originally, I couldn't get video to work at all in Leopard (worked fine in Tiger). I just recently did all of the following things:
    Set QT STreaming to 1.5
Set bandwidth (in iChat) to 500kbps (Comcast)
Deleted iChat prefs and ichatagent prefs
Set parallels network to "host only" (was on shared)
    Reset PRAM
Reset security port to 443 (in iChat prefs, server settings)
    Restart iChat (obviously)
Right now, all of my buddies are currently offline, but I did test with apple's auto-bots and interestingly, I'm getting video to work with appleu3test01 and appleu3test03, but I get the same connection problem as before with appleu3test02 ("There was a communication error during your chat"). I'm curious what's different about this bot's settings. I'll report more when I get to test with a real person.

  • How can i see how many people are using my apple id without changing the password ?

how can i see how many people are using my apple id without changing because some people have it

I'm not sure that you can. Why have so many people got your password? So many in fact, that you don't know how many.
You can see how many computers are authorised to play any songs you have purchased from the iTunes Store, but that isn't quite the same thing.
Perhaps a better idea would be to change the password and not let anyone else know what it is. That would at least prevent anyone else from changing it and locking you out of your own account.

    Hi there,
You can text as many people as you want at once on the iPhone 5!
Bonus: If you want to send everyone a message without each person knowing who else received the message, you can go to Settings > Messages and turn Group Messaging to OFF. Each recipient will receive an individual message.
