Kosher DNS, Stuck Name

Question

So far getting the correct names to stick in our corporate DNS with xServes has been great. The majority of my xServes have a pretty standard domain name: servername.company.com.
However, I have one machine in particular that passes the changeip test, and all the fields that I believe need to be filled out with the computer name are correct, however I keep getting this message in my logs:
Feb 29 09:58:07 servername servermgrd: servermgr_dns: gethostbyaddr() and reverse DNS name do not match (old-server-name != servername.company.com), various services may not function properly - use changeip to repair and/or correct DNS
However, if I run changeip -checkhostname, I get:
Primary address = 10.130.244.51
Current HostName = servername.company.com
DNS HostName = servername.company.com
The names match. There is nothing to change.
When I go into the Server Admin utility and look at the network interface? It tells me the DNS name is:
old-server-name
My question is this - what other services can stick to a name? All of my other servers released their original install names when I corrected them in the Server settings and had our DNS guys re-check their entries. This is the only machine that is behaving like this. It's original name was "Old-Server-Name" but I am unable to get it to release this, even though the machine name in every field and even in the terminal is "servername".
I've looked through quite a few .conf files and can't seem to find where it might still be holding onto "Old-Server-Name".
Any suggestions?
Edit: I forgot to add, this is OS X Server 10.4.11, intel box, fairly new just like the rest of them.

Hi
Switch off IPv6 and run changeip again. If its Standalone it should look like this:
sudo changeip - oldname newname oldIPaddress newIPaddress
The IP address bit will stay the same. You'll be prompted for the System Administrator name and password. I would also do a restart after doing this - maybe two for good luck - its funny how a restart seems to cure many ills?
If the server is an OD Master the command should look like this:
sudo changeip /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 oldname newname oldIP newIP
In addition to providing the System Administrator name and password you will also need to provide the Directory Administrator name and password (diradmin).
