Last access to programs and tables

Hello,
I need to discover the last time some programs and tables were used...
We believe that some objects are no longer used and maybe we could delete them.
How could I have this kind of historic use of programs and tables ?

Without additional software this is not possible, not every call to a program or to a table is logged, your database would be full if that'd be done.

i need to log transaction codes, programes and tables a user has used in a certain time. how can i trace that and is it possible with timestamps?
i tried something with the badi workload_statistic but thats not what i need. is there a simple function which can do that or is this really much more complicated?

In SE13 there is an option to log table changes for a table.
If you search for "SCU3" you will find plenty of information on this. Also search for "RECCLIENT" (without the "/") and you will find some more specialized threads.

Autho. on program and tables

Hi All,
I have 2 question
1. Is there any way to stop user from direct processing of programs.eg. There are many users who do not have access to SE38 to run any program, but they found a wayaround. They logon to R/3> System> Status> Double click on Programs> it takes you to the source code of the program--> Other Object and then can run any program --> And then Direct Processing....
Is there any way to stop this and how. Please give me the steps and I am new to Autho.
2. I have to give access to some users for some tables in transaction SM31. But only few tables?? ( might be Z tables also). Is there any way to give on access to sm31 and only mentioned table?

SAP already has a lot of standard authorization groups available for tables. These can be seen in SE54 trx or in the table TBRG for object S_TABU_DIS. The asociation between the auth group and the tables can be seen in table TDDAT. An example of such an association would be table T000 linked to auth group SS. So if you want to restrict people from changing/creating clients, remove the access for group SS from the S_TABU_DIS object in their roles.
Now if you want to allow a user access to only some new Z-tables then the procedure would be -
1. create a new auth group for S_TABU_DIS via SE54.
2. modify table TDDAT to associate the required Z-tables to the Z-auth group.
3. create a new role with SM30/31 and the object S_TABU_DIS and only add the new Z-auth group in field DICBERCLS.
4. assign the role to the concerned user. (remember to remove other roles giving access to this object from the user first).
For SE38, there can be two type of control - program display (code) access via S_DEVELOP and execution access via S_PROGRAM.
S_PROGRAM control works on a principle similar to S_TABU_DIS.
The field P_GROUP contains auth group values for programs which are maintained in the table TPGP.
The association between the program and the program group can be maintained using the program RSCSAUTH. (this maintains the table SREPOATH).

Change Package of programs and tables

Hi all,
I have developed more than 40 programs and few tables under a package.Unfortunately all developments were saved under Local request due to the BASIS guy(he was forgot to create the landscape).Now I have released all the request and these are non transportable.Even If I create any new req(by changing) then also they getting saved under Local request.
I think bcoz of the package(which was in local request).What I want to do is I want to change the package for all the developments I did.Will it effect to any programs/tables if transported?

Unable to access the data and table fields from handheld

Hi,
I've created a Testing.sdf file on the local pc using SQL Server Management Studio, creating table, fields and insert some data. in local pc i can access the the data as normal. the problem is after i moved the file to handheld device i
cannot access the data within the table, it shown error 'Failed to retrieve data for this request. (Microsoft.SqlServer.SmoEnum)' . I tried to google it, but still got no solution.

BDC programming and table controls selColumns

Hello,
I have a small question regarding BDC programming. I am already quite familiar with the process in creating one but I have one question regarding table control and its selColumns.
Transactions like pa40 would require its users to select one of the rows in the table controls via SelColumns. My questions is how would you simulate this using BDC.

Gov access download program, and corupted the search page, goes directly to twitter

My downloaded program seems to have been corrupted, Private window is not available in a secure mode, "and search page box has twitter permanently in search mode, type in facebook.com, "and twitter shows up

Table names to find Program names and Table names

I want to find Program names and Tables names where Transaction codes are not been created.
If TCodes are created I can find from TSTC.
But programs and tables which does not have tcodes.

You know the program name go to se38 and find out if u know table name go to se11 and find out .if you want to see both where there are used in which program go to se80 it would be easy.

How do I transfer over my Pages program and all its files to my new mac?

I recently bought a macbook air and would like to continue to use my Pages program that I have been using on my old Macbook pro. Does anyone know if I can redownload it from the Apple store without having to pay or if there is another way I can access the program and all my old files?

The Apple Store is not the same as the Mac App Store, which is what I think KarenSelena is referring to when she says "Apps store." So, the question is, did you buy a retail box or a license for a downloaded trial of iWork '09 or did you buy the individual apps from the Mac App Store?
If you did buy Pages from the Mac App Store you can go to the "purchases" section of the App Store.app & download it again using the same Apple ID as before.

Forefox dropped grade program and now that grade program says that I am on a different computer, private browsing turned on by itself at the same time

I was working with my online grade program snapgrades and the connection dropped when I started the program again Firefox was in private browsing mode. The grade program is set to email me if another computer accesses the program and I received a message that another computer had assessed my program at that time. I was hoping to find out what happened. I was on other web sites at the same time.

Install ClamXav and run a scan with that. It should pick up any trojans.

Can ABAP program and a Java apps access the same DB table?

If an ABAP program and a Java apps access the same DB table, how does the Enqueue services from ABAP and Java communicate with each other to ensure locking consistency (if they even communicate with each otehr at all)?
Or there wont be such situation because there are separate schema for ABAP stack and Java stack?

A while ago I was a subject to criticism too for not granting points to helpfull answers. I appeared to be ungratefull, but I'm actually not (I guess the same goes for Vincent). I absolutely agree that good people who provide helpfull answers deserve (at least) points, but I didn't quite get the whole idea with points untill I was explicitly warned. I took some time to correct this and I granted points for all my past questions, generously, with "interest rates" for waiting.
My point is:
The pointing system is good, but unintuitive and not documented. I suggested this at that time, and I see that nothing has changed since. I see also that I'm not the only one who has experienced missunderstandings.
I repeat the message to SDN people: Please provide some info on pointing system! A few sentences behind a "What's this?" link would do. It's not such a hard work.

Check DBA_TBALES view there you find one date column that indicate last update
One option is as follows:
(1) Turn the auditing on: AUDIT_TRAIL = true in init.ora
(2) Restart the instance if its running.
(3) Audit the table:
     AUDIT INSERT,SELECT,DELETE,UPDATE on TableName
     by ACCESS WHENEVER SUCCESSFUL
(4) Get the desired information using :
     SELECT OBJ_NAME,ACTION_NAME ,to_char(timestamp,'dd/mm/yyyy , HH:MM:SS')
     from sys.dba_audit_object.

When this happens, please press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and see how much RAM and CPU Firefox is using. If they're sky high, then... Well, that kind of issues are, unfortunately, more common and the we'd like. Thankfully, 99% of the cases are very easy to solve. However, you do need to diagnose what your exact problem is. Do this:
#run Firefox in safe-mode to disable all extensions and plugins. If this fixes your issues, be them with RAM or CPU usage, then you know it's a problem with plugins or extensions. Proceed to number 2. If safe-mode doesn't fix the issues, then read bellow, after this list;
#update all extensions and plugins in your Firefox. If this doesn't solve the issues, proceed to the following number;
#disable all extensions and plugins in your Firefox (not running safe-mode). Being certain that, as in safe-mode, the problems you're having have gone away, enable one plugin at a time. You should be certain that you WANT that plugin to be enabled, so keep your overall number of plugins as low as possible. When you encounter the problems, you know you've found a problematic plugin, so disable it for good. Keep enabling all plugins (except problematic ones) until you've gone through them all.
#enable one extension at a time. Again, be certain that you WANT that extension to be enabled, so keep your overall number of extensions as low as possible. When you encounter the problems, you know you've found a problematic extension, so disable it for good. Keep enabling all your extensions (except problematic ones) until you've gone through them all;

Ok, if disabling all extensions and plugins through safe-mode didn't work to bring Firefox's CPU and RAM usage to good levels, then you have different issue. The most likely scenario is that you have a third party software running on your computer that is messing with Firefox. Do as follows:
#do a virus/malware check on your computer. If this doesn't fix it, proceed;
#disable all software running in the background that you don't want to have running in the background (in windows, this is done by pressing WINDOWS+R in your keyboard, typing "msconfig" (without the commas) and pressing enter. Now, under the "Startup" tab, you can uncheck the software you don't want, and reboot your system for changes to take effect. If you're unsure of what software you want running, ask someone with more experience). If this doesn't fix you issues with Firefox, proceed;
#check your firewall/antivirus/security suite for enabled functions/features that you don't want and/or may be conflicting with Firefox. You'll find that these features are most likely tied to Internet Security features, such as link scanners or URL checkers and the like. If you're not sure they are conflicting with Firefox, simply try to disable to see whether or not that's true. As long as you don't browse the web with your antivirus completely off and your firewall completely turned off, there should be no problems. If this doesn't solve the issues, proceed to the following number;
#check your operating system security options, mainly advanced options that are not configured by default. While it's very unlikely that this may be the cause of the problem (after all, it's the last item on the list), it's remotely possible. If this doesn't do it, I'm out of ideas. Except make sure you've followed my instructions correctly.

Deletion of bookmarks from RSWR_DATA table based on 'Last access' date

We want to delete the 7.X bookmarks from RSWR_DATA table based on Last accessed date. The program RSWR_BOOKMARK_REORG does not provide the selection criteria to delete the bookmarks based on last accessed date.
Is there any alternative program that deletes bookmarks from RSWR_DATA table based on last accessed date?
