Lately, Every time I intend to utilize one of the creative cloud products I get continual notifications of verification which is impeding my ability to work. I am continuing to have to sign in when I switch from premier to photoshop etc. What should I do?

Try deleting the cache associated wi the App Store.
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Now open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Click Go then move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.

What do I have to do to fix this and get the Media Encoder downloaded. I clicked on the "Learn More" link in the Creative Cloud download utility and this is what is returned to me.

Can I use one of the Creative Cloud apps on our other mac at home?
If I'm not using it on my primary Mac (i.e., if I'm doing disk maintenance or my wife is web browsing on it), can I launch one of the CC apps on our other mac? A given app would be launched on only one of the computers at a time.
Generally there may be issues since even "non-concurrent use" still means that the activation system checks for usage of the same license within the same network and whether PS runs on one machine and AI runs on the other would make no difference and still count since it's just one global license for the whole package, but to tell you the truth you won't know until you try.

This sounds as if when you migrated from MobileMe, instead of signing in with your MobileMe email address you created a new iCloud account separately. If you want to make use of the data in what was your MobileMe account you have to sign in with it.
You can't merge the accounts, but you having signed in with one in System Preferences>iCloud you can sign in with another, to become the 'secondary account', in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars. You can access email and sync Calendars and Contacts here alongside the primary account: mail will not be 'pushed' but checked at intervals, and you cannot use PhotoStream. -
I am writing to this forum to ask for help in determining whether Aperture will satisfy my needs when I switch from Windows to MAC in the near future.
I am currently using Photoshop Elements 8 on Windows 7. After several years of use, I am self taught and adequately proficient for an amateur. What I didn't realize (until I started researching my upcoming migration on the Internet) is that I actually use PE8 for two functions: digital asset management and digital editing.
Regarding Digital Asset Management: My research leads me to understand that PE on MAC does not provide the same level of organizational capability that I am used to having on Windows, instead providing Adobe's Bridge which does not look very robust. Furthermore, iPhoto, which come on MAC will not support the hierarchical keyword tagging that I require to organize my library of photos. The two SW applications which I am thinking of switching to are either Aperture or Adobe's Lightroom. Frankly, I'm thinking that it would be smoother to stay within the Apple product line.
So the remaining question is whether Aperture will support my digital editing needs. The tweaks that I do to my photos are not very complex (no, I do not want to put people's heads on other animal bodies). But could someone who uses Aperture tell me whether It will allow me to do the following kinds of edits?:
- If I have a photo where someone's face is too shadowed, can I lighten just that person's face, and leave the rest of the photo as-is?
- if I have a photo where the background is cluttered (eg, 2 people in front of the Parthenon which is undergoing renovation), can I remove just the construction cranes?
- Can it splice together several separate photos to give a panoramic?
If, once I get Aperture, I find that it cannot enable the kinds of editing that I do, I would probably get PE11 in the future. However, if people in this forum tell me that Aperture will definitely not support the kinds of editing which I've described in the previous paragraph, I would prefer to get PE11 with my initial configuration (since someone will be helping me with my migration).

Not so much conflicts as maybe a little less seamless integration with Apple software and perhaps some third-party software providers in the Mac App Store where some programs build in direct access to iPhoto and Aperture libraries for getting images into those programs easily. Typically, there is a manual command to go to Finder (think Windows Explorer) to browse folders.
One caution to mention however, is that the organization you set-up in PE Organizer is unlikely to transfer over to either iPhoto or Aperture if you decide to change at some point.
The only real stumbling block that I see in your opening comment is that you want hierarchical keywording (Kirby or Léonie can go into the details on keywording limitations as I stay at one level). If you can work with the keywording schemes of either iPhoto or Aperture, then using PE for your external editor (either program supports setting an external editor) would probably be ideal since you know PE well. This is the idea with the Mac App Store version of PE (editor with no organizer).
Note - I use Photoshop CS6 (full version) with Aperture and it works really well. The only downside is that Aperture has to make either a TIFF or PSD file to send to an external editor so that the original file is protected by not sending it to the pixel editor. While TIFF or PSD files protect the integrity of the image information without degrading it, they are typically much larger file sizes on disk than either RAW or JPEG files. Therefore, your library size (iPhoto or Aperture) will balloon quite a bit if you send a lot of files to external editors.
One other possibility for an external editor would be a program called Pixelmator. It is pretty similar to early versions of Photoshop, but built for Mac. Other than the panoramics you want, it will do most pixel editing that PE can do. It is not an organizer, so it is built to go with either iPhoto or Aperture. It does have differences in how you complete certain procedures, so there is bit of a learning curve when you are used to doing it the Adobe way. -
How do I get rid of the volume noise that plays when I switch from internal speakers to external speakers? I'm trying to watch something on my TV through an HDMi cable (& apple adapter) and when I go to switch the sound control in preferences from internal speakers to SONY TV, the annoying "popping" noise occurs on my TV's speakers.
Go to Edit > Preferences > General > Import Settings and check the box for error correction, and then try one of the problem CDs again.

in the window that opens, select your Downloads folder, and then Choose
from the Actions on the left, drag Filter Finder Items over to the column on the right
Where it says Any Content, select Kind

Drag Move Finder Items over to the rightfor To: select other, and navigate to your user folder > Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Automatically Add to iTunes

Windows Explorer hangs when I switch from InDesign CC to my desktop. Also weird mouse behavior.
I am using a brand new computer running Windows 7 64-bit.
I am also using Adobe CC for the first time. Downloaded InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat last week, and I'm using mostly InDesign so far.
My issue: When I switch from InDesign to, say, check my Outlook in box, sometimes I can't click on anything at all, including "Show Desktop." I am only able to get functionality back by doing a Ctrl-Alt-Del and then cancelling the Task Manager when it appears. Then the mouse forgets that I mouse left-handed, for a few seconds. After that, everything works right.
Anyone else see this issue?

then can:
a. log into RWW
b. connect to server desktop - choose server
c. get IE 32-bit only error - click ok
d. get prompted for connection settings
e. get vbscript error
f. back at connect to server desktop screen - choose server again
g. get IE 32-bit only error - click OK
h. get prompted for connection settings
i. get username/password/domain login screen
j. successfully login
I was glad to find this post, because I just figured it didn't work the first time I tried it, and never tried twice in a row. Nice to know I can use my Surface to remote in using RWW when needed. -
Every time I open Server Admin one server complains: (kNetworkError)
Every time I open Server Admin I receive the following error:
+The service has encountered an error. Try to refresh the view (foobar.myserver.edu/Server). Report the problem to the administrator if it persists. (kNetworkError)+
* The error happens only with one of the 6 servers I have on my list.
* I tried running Server Admin from multiple other machines and the issue is always reproduced.
* The problem surfaced sometime last year, and updates 10.5.5 to 10.5.7 have not solved the issue.
* The network is properly setup with Static IP and DNS.
* Running changeip returns: "The names match. There is nothing to change".
* Server runs OD, AFP, MAIL XGRID, WEB, and PCP, all systems are fully operational.
Any ideas where to start?The same error appeared on my test server at home tonight. I upgraded to 10.5.7 this afternoon. server logs showing:

I had had Podcast Producer and Xgrid set up on this server when testing but they have since been turned off.
I went into Settings / Services and unchecked them. The error message has now gone and the other services come on line quickly. The log list is still occurring though. This may stop after a restart, which I have timed for the middle of the night.
