Launch subvi in background on RT target

I would like to run a subvi in the background on a RIO RT target. I have done this in the past on local PCs using references and nodes but not on RT RIO target. I need the vi to run in the background and pass data to the main vi running on the RIO RT target using shared variables. Any ideas on how to launch the vi from the RT target?

Dock Launching Apps in Background Now After 10.4.6

This is odd, after upgrading to 10.4.6, when clicking on an application icon in the Dock, all programs are launched in the background now. It never did this before upgrading to 10.4.6.
Is this something that can be changed?
I checked the Dock and Finder settings and didn't see anything.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Welcome to posting in the Forum!
When you say launching in the background I assume you mean 'hidden'? That is odd. Try trashing com.apple.finder.plist and see if that helps.

Missing SubVIT within VIT on RT Target

I have 2 VITs within a top level VIT. I do this because I want these "subVITs" to be functional globals, but only specific to the thread in which they are running. See topic here.
Anyways, I have put all my VITs on my target, and I am able to launch the top level VIT dynamically, but when I open up remote debugging, the following is what I see within my top level block diagram:
To reiterate, I have put the VITs on the RT (as you can see in the screenshot), and again this is remote debugging, not the development environment. So, right clicking and "browse..." is not an option here.

What happens when you run the main VI from the Project Explorer on your host computer? This will run the VIs in development mode. Does the Main VI still lose the SubVIs? What type of RT target are you using?

Transaction launcher opens empty transaction IC_LTXE in target system

Hello,
we've got an issue with the transaction launcher. We want to open an ecc transaction.
Logical system in TCRMS_IC_CROSS_SYS is defined as: http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!?transaction=IC_LTXE&okcode=ICEXECUTE
Rfc connection with target system works (with dialog user) .
Note 1021222 and necessary steps from note 888931 are implemented. We've followed best practice CRM Opportunity Management (C32) to add a transaction.
Problem we are facing at this moment is: from crm the transaction IC_LTXE is opened in the target system with only empty fields. The transaction we've entered in the transaction launcher wizard is not opened at all...
Anybody knows how to solve this issue?

Launch app in background

When an application launches, its window comes the front, the menu is displayed, and it steals the keyboard input. Is there a way I can tell this program to run in the background?

Show front panel of subVI on a real-time target

Hi,
I'm running an application on a real-time target (14.00). On the main front panel of the application, I have a button who open another VI with the invoke node method but this component doesn't work with Real-Time taget. So, how can I show the front panel without this method ?

Hint: RT = there should be no GUI.
RT applications are meant to just run off on their own. GUI is not part of a real RT system since that adds a non-deterministic process to the system, adding jitter (which is a big no-no in RT). What you should be doing is making a Windows host application that can communicate with the RT system (via Network Streams, TCP/IP, etc). The host application acts as the GUI/HMI.

How can I run a SubVi in background when a sequence is running in the main VI

What I want to do is this
When I push a button on the main VI, a SubVI (#1) must run and take data.
At the same time, a sequence, in which there are other subVIs must run.
My problem is that the subVI #1 does not run when I push the button. The sequence is running well. How can I run both the sequence and the subVI at the simultaneously?

Hey Hugo,
Sounds like you'll just want to do some parallel loops. I'll attach a screenshot of a VI that has a sequence where the counter goes up to 3, then restarts, each time it reads the iteration count from the subVI above. (The subVI is just a while loop with the iteration count attached to the global)
Each iteration of the sequence shows an increased count from the subVI via a global variable.
Is this what you are looking for?
Keep in mind that I just threw this together to show functionality, its got a lot of rough edges to it.

How to activate an InfoObject in background in target system

Hello,
after I made changes to an characteristic InfoObject in development system I have activated it in background, this has run the background job IOBJ_ACTIVATE. When I transported the IO change and activation into the test system, the IO has been activated normally and not in background, therefore the job IOBJ_ACTIVATE didn´t run.
Is there a possibility to transport the activation of an InfoObject in background into the target system?

Hi Meba,
Since Job definitions contain system specific parameters (target host, user, program, operation mode, ...). Therefore it wouldn't make sense to develop a transport tool.
For similar reasons, copying a job across clients is not foreseen. The following trick, however, is possible: Login to the target client (the one, where the job is to be copied to). The user must have job administrator authorizations. Then using transaction SM37 all jobs in all clients can be displayed. With the "Job > Copy" option a job can now be copied from the source client (only steps, no start time).

Front Row launches as background process when running second display

When I connect a second display, Front Row launches as a background process and hogs upwards of 90% of my CPU cycles. I've tried connecting things in various orders, but had no success in avoiding this.

try restarting and it will works. it happens to me some of the times or unplug your cable and plug it in again.

Couple of ways you can do this.
1 - Have the background process implement the interface Runnable. Start a new thread for this process. You can keep a reference to it in session if you want to monitor it.
2 - In a J2EE environment, send a JMS message to trigger a process.
Either of these will let control return to your servlet immediately, and you can return a response of "job started, check back later" to the user.

Custom Attributes in Target Group Email Campaign Not Refreshed

We have a campaign sending emails to a target group of BPs. To fill our custom attributes with values we have implemented our code in badi CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI method CRM_IM_BPSELE. We tested our code using the Test Send feature from the email form and all worked fine.
But when we ran the campaign in the background for a Target Group with multiple BPs it would not work correctly, our attribute values were incorrect.
We discovered while debugging the job, that the badi gets run once for each BP, but the attribute values from the previous BP do NOT get refreshed. In fact there are 2 entire sets of attribute records in the CT_ATT_VALUES table parameter. Each time through it multiplies by another set of our attributes.
I have put code in the badi as a workaround that deletes the previously filled attributes for the previous BP, but I'd like to figure out what is causing this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am facing the similar problem.
Though the BADi is not used for these two mails (it is used in some other mail forms), it is actually called in 'CRM_ERMS_MAIL_COMPOSE' Function Module and the process is same as u said. There are 2 sets of values.
I am using a Mail Alert functionality where in a 'Mail Alert ON' is sent to field engineers (FE) and then upon FE accepting the work we will send a 'Mail Alert OFF' to FEs.
Problem is, we get one or two fields data incorrectly sometimes. I am not able to find out the root cause yet.
Please let me know if you have had any resolution to this!

Q: Why does the Eyedropper Tool set the Background color instead of the Foreground color when I click in my image?
A: The reason for this is that the Background swatch is "targeted" to accept the color information passed on by the Eyedropper Tool when you use it to sample a color. You can reset the behavior by clicking on the Foreground swatch in your Colors Palette/Panel. See the image below:

No matter which swatch is targeted, you can choose to temporarily sample color into the other swatch by holding down the Option key (ALT on Windows) while you sample with the Eyedropper Tool.
If you'd like to have the current Foreground and Background colors (as displayed in your Toolbox) switch places, simply tap the 'X' key on your keyboard.
Finally, to reset the Foreground and Background swatches to their default of black and white, simply tap the 'D' key.

foreground to background. The one with the box around it is the default setting.

Hi Samurai,
As the error suggests that macro is inactive - Can you please check the macro in corresponding planning book/data view in Macro Workbench in transaction /SAPAPO/ADVM
Check there if the macro is inactive (Red Mark) - If inactive, then please activate the same and then check the background job by running it again.

Found a problem with backgrounds and launchpad

If a folder is left open in launchpad and the desktop background changes, when you go back to launch pad the background above the open folder is different to the bottom.
When the folder is closed or the background changes again it corrects itself.

I'm also having this problem. It used to be in CS5, if you just clicked the "edit clipping path" button (never mind that it is selected by default!!) that would work.
But now, in CS6, yes, you have to click "edit contents" and then "edit clipping path" again.
Adobe, this seems like a bug. Can you fix it?
I use clipping paths constantly and this is slowing me down.
