Layout is vertical

Good morning. When surfing(mainly in ebay) the listing information is listed vertically. How do I change it to horizontal?

I'm using an Apple supplied font (Hiragino Kaku Gothic Pro (Japanese Font)) as listed here  (Cmd/Ctrl+F Hiragino).  The Hiragino are the only fonts I've used so far and I remember TextEdit working like normal (As you've said yours has been working) a few days ago, but, like I said, now it's started to run pretty slow with vertical layout enabled.
EDIT: Well, I guess TextEdit hates spaces. I removed all the spaces (the only reason I was using spaces in the first place was because this is a speaking assignment and It's easier to seperate each segment), and it runs at normal speed once again.  I guess I'll file a bug report for the spaces in TextEdit in vertical layout (And yes I tried spaces in Vertical with English too, still unbearably slow).  What I noticed is that the performance slowdown builds up, it starts getting slow after the first space or two but then makes a dramatic differenc in speed as more spaces are added.  Thanks everyone for the help.

  • Horizontal Layout scrolling vertically

    Has anyone worked with the HorizontalLayout for a List?
    When you touch scroll, it lets you scroll up and down. Whereas the vertical layout won't scroll horizontally.
    Can anyone else confirm this?

    You'll need to set verticalScrollPolicy="auto" and horizontalScrollPolicy="on" styles on your List.

  • Turn horizontal layout to vertical when you place vertical photograph

    Hi
    I am Sathya Murthy
    Basically I am photographer
    I want to place photos in layers in a single psd file
    for  this i have found a scripting from the website
    http://www.mouseprints.net/old/dpr/PhotoCollageToolkit.html
    which is working fine.
    But the problem is I have both vertical and horizantal photographs
    I have marked certain place in my psd file which is in layers for horizantal photographs using rectangle tool
    but suddenly when i want to insert vertical photos in horizantal layer the horizantal layer should change into vertical layer as photograph
    for eg if i have rectangle layer which is 4 X 6 where 4 is length and 6 is width
    and i have a vertical photo 6 X 4
    the rectangle layer 4 X 6 should change 6 X 4 or in other words when it finds a vertical photo the rectangle layer marked for photo insertion
    should change to vertical position.
    I hope you understood
    for this i need the scripting which should work fine with
    InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx and
    PopulateCollageTemplate.jsx
    for the scripting files please visit this site where you can download
    http://www.mouseprints.net/old/dpr/PhotoCollageToolkit.html
    Please help me in this regard
    Sathya Murthy
    Thanks in Advance

    The problem is you did not read the documentation.  What is happening is your images are being fitted to the openings.   You have created a template with a 3:2 landscale opening and your images is a 2:3 portrait. So the portrait is sized to fill the landscape opening. This will look like a center landscape crop of your portrait.   Placing portraits into landscape and landscape into portrait openings will work however the composition will not be optiimal. You can use the move tool to change the composition in the final collage no croping has been done just masking.
    Also this is not a perfect world many cameras have been produced that do not have an orintation sensor.  So as far as Photoshop knows all image shot are Landscape portrait images will open on one side or the other and if you shoot with the camera inverted landscape image will open upside down. These script expect images files to be right side up when they a placed in.  Photoshop is also not without bugs. I have seen some camera with orintation sensors where files will open in Photoshop right side up put when the ones that are protraits are placed into a document they are on side.  There is code in the scripts that code around some bugs in different versions of Photoshop. They should work in CS2, CS3, CS4, and CS5. The only version of Photoshop scripting that didn't seem to have a scripting bug these scripts needed to code around is CS3.
    Image File naming and placement order
    Images are placed into collages from folders by the batching scripts in filename sort order. To allow you to control the order of image placement, you can prefix the Image Name you want stamped into the collage with a prefix sequence number followed by a "#" character. File Systems file name may be up to 255 characters in length and can not contain the special characters <>:"/\|?* So I could do something like this for file name (Sequence number,Collage Title,Image annotation#Image Name) in the future. You should also not expect a long name stamp to fit with the collage. As of now I just strip off everything up to and including the "#" before stamping the remaining part of the file name into the collage. This is also true in the interactive script. So right now you can use the prefix area anyway you want. However that may change in the future. The Collages templates themselves are populated in the order of the alpha channels "Image 1, Image 2, ..., Image "n" with the lower image number layers below higher number layers in the layers stack.
    From the documentation More example
    Note: Look at how Landscape images are fitted to Portrait cutouts and how Portrait Images are fitted to Landscape cutouts. For best results when you batch populate Photo Collage Templates Images and Cutout should have the same orientation.

  • Bottom right corner resize controls trump vertical scroll button if set to appear in the bottom corner

    My bottom right corner square of the Firefox window normally sits below the bottom of the vertical scroll bar and right of the horizontal scroll bar if one exists. The square is used to click and drag to resize the window's right and bottom boundaries.
    At issue is when a web site places its vertical scroll down-arrow button in the bottom right corner. I cannot access the down-arrow button with my mouse to cause the page to scroll down a few lines at a time because when I point the mouse there, I get the resize controls instead. Even though the down-arrow button is plainly visible on the screen, the resize controls take charge and I cannot use the scroll control.
    Two example web sites display their down-arrow control at the very bottom of the window; TIME.com and GMAIL.com. I have also viewed two PDF documents in the browser, and they too, have a vertical scroll bar all the way to the bottom, and I cannot use that down-arrow button because instead I get the northwest-southeast click-to-resize cursor instead of the mouse pointer when I attempt to use that button for scrolling.
    Someone on the Google Help forum was not able to replicate that issue, showing me screenshots of his lower right corner mouse behavior. He does not have the resize control covering access to the scroll bar.
    I am using the latest Firefox, I have reset Firefox, thus dumping all of my add-ons and custom settings, and have only put back AdBlock Plus and Cookie Monster. And Troubleshooter, when I asked a similar question.
    I am running Windows XP, on its last days of support. This computer is not capable of running anything newer, unless I run with Linux.
    Going to TIME.com, its vertical scroll is in the bottom corner and I get the resize control arrows instead of the mouse pointer when I point to the down-button. If I disable page styles in the View menu, I get a useful output that sets the end of the vertical scroll above the bottom corner. So somebody's idea of styling the page (CSS) creates this issue for me.
    Going to Gmail, turning off the styles gives me a useless output of nonsense, so I must use page styling enabled.
    Can someone please give me some guidance? This forum page has vertical and horizontal scroll above and left of the bottom corner square. I have access to all the parts of both scroll bars, as is the case on most well-designed pages.
    My window-resize controls are in charge always of the bottom corner square even if the vertical scroll is supposed to be there.

  • Accordion with Vertical Navigation problem

    Following tutorial about phone layout accordion/vertical navigation menu encountering following problem in my original file:
    Create accordion - ok (style to my pref)
    Insert vertical navigation - ok (style to my pref)
    When trying to resize the v/nav to hit the red line on browser edge - both left and right, in preview and in mobile simulator the navigation panels don't expand accordingly to the width of the mobile screen.
    If try with only accordion with no menu all ok. As soon as I add the navigation and try to size to hit the red guides indicating that it will resize with browser size, when preview it doesn't as described above.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Sam

    If you DO want the slideshow overlaping the navigation try the below css:
    .sidebar1 {
        float: left;
        width: 225px;
        margin: 60px 0px 60px 60px;

        -webkit-border-radius: 13px;
        padding: 5px 5px 0px 5px;

  • Vertical Photos in Book

    I am attempting to create a book with a lot of vertical photos. The layout pages are almost all for horizontal photos and the vertical photos are not properly proportioned. Are there pages I'm missing with more layouts for vertical photos or is there a way of making my own layout pages, other than blank.

    Liz Castro has produced samples of all of the layouts for all of the themes for iPhoto books making it easy to scan the possibilities -- http://www.lizcastro.com/iphotobookthemes/
    Note that in some layouts when you place a portrait photo in a landscape frame the frame switches orientation and in some it just crops the photo - http://www.lizcastro.com/iphotobookthemes/pmwiki.php?n=Main.OriginalOrientation
    If you photos are not standard point and shoot photos in a 4:3 ratio they will be cropped since all of the book frames are 4:3 - you can right click on a photo and choose fit to frame to avoid cropping
    there is not currently any way to customize pages in iPhoto -- you can generate pages in MS Word, pages, pagermaker, InDesign, etc and do a print to PDF using the send PDF to iPhoto option to create a custom page - see Old Toad's tutorial #19 for details - http://toadstutorials.info/

  • Indesign cc. Alternate layout. Master B.

    Background.
    New > Document > web.
    I am creating an .epub.
    QUESTION.
    Does it matter if the layout is vertical or horizontal in Indesign CC ?
    I followed Anne Marie Concepcion's tutorial for creating an Alternate Layout.
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/visual-design-cs6/working-with-alternate-layouts/
    It is actually for Indesign CS6.
    I Created an alternate layout so now I have two:
    Letter V  which looks like landscape.
    800x600 which looks like portrait.
    I thought that I would keep only the 800x600 portrait.
    The tutorial shows how you can 'delete' the layout you do not want and then do a 'save as'.
    I did this.
    But now I  No Longer Have a Master A.
    I only have a Master  B.
    QUESTIONS
    How can I change this to be called Master A.  ?
    With Indesign CC, and with the updated functionality of tablets, does it really matter which layout I use ??
    I created an ePub in 2010 using Indesign CS5, and I did not use alternate layouts and the ebook seems to be fine on all tablets.
    Can someone please clarify these things for me.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Anne-Marie.
    So I think that I should just delete my 800x600 Layout ?
    The 800x600 layout physically looks in my pages panel  to be vertical.
    And then save it again ?
    QUESTION: Which Layout should I keep ??
    That will leave me with the Letter V layout which was what is listed in all of my saved versions.
    This is where I suppose I became confused.
    The fact that that the term LETTER V is used  when I created a document for the WEB.
    'LETTER'   denotes physical pages to me.
    V is for vertical.
    document > new > web      defaults to 'horizontal' orientation if I am not mistaken
    Does that makes sense ?  My confusion.
    It is just feedback.
    I just hope that I do not have to go back and re-edit those last 50 pages
    Thanks for the help.
    I love adobe products.
    I just want to understand this and move onto the next step.
    I have been dreaming of a strategy to get my TOC to work the way I want it too.
    Thanks Bob too.

  • Expanding design elements with text?

    I'm developing the following page of a client's site:
    http://www.dancingeyes.com/prackart/profile.html
    and I'm wondering if it's possible to have a specific section of the page layout expand vertically as needed (for text overflow due to browser font size, etc.), and yet move sections below it accordingly?
    For example, on the page linked to above, if for some reason the text in the upper section (the "Family Roots - The Early Years" paragraphs in white over gray background) were to need more vertical space due to larger font size or added content, the medium gray background will correspondingly expand downward to accommodate (as will the outer darker gray browser fill shape, as I want it to). The problem is that it just overflows and overlaps the black-on-white text below ("Working with Clay", etc.), rather than pushing all that content down correspondingly too. Is there some basic layout structure I can/should use to achieve this? Can separate horizontal sections of a layout be made to expand and contract independently, depending on browser/user settings/fluctuations?
    My first hunch was to put all the black-on-white text below in the footer, but that didn't quite work.
    Any ideas/tricks/suggestions for a new Muse user?
    Thanks!

    The first thing to check will be objects with intersecting boundaries. Try to place objects in such a way that they either land above or below the other object or is totally contained inside the other object like a rectangle.
    Any kind of intersections or incorrect overlays can cause the content to be placed in a fixed position rather than flowing in relation to the content above it.
    Cheers,
    Vikas

  • Spark ButtonBar is it possible to add a "custom" button?

    Either is it possible to add custom ButtonBarButton components to a spark ButtonBar?
    For example:
    <s:ButtonBar>
    <s:ButtonBarButton />
    <s:ButtonBarButtonWithImage />
    <s:ButtonBarButtonWithChildren />
    </s:ButtonBar>
    Or create a ButtonBarButton with children - like a Menubar?
    P.S: I could use the MenuBar, but there isn't a spark version. I would need a style customization.

    I've tried your component. It will be very helpful.
    I have a doubt (I think it's about List component):
    Considered I'm using a vertical layout with one MenuBar (height = 40 ) and one Container below. When, the user mouse over any menu item the submenu is displayed over the container, even the submenu has more than 40 of height  - like absolute layout.
    How the submenu is added to the layer - over the container (it didn't respect the vertical layout ?!)  (I didn't find in the SDK sources.)
    How the x and y is setted since the layout is vertical?
    Where can I get more information?

  • Starting with the base state

    Hello All,
    I know I have done this before, but it's been awhile since
    I've created a Flex App. I started with the original "gray" box,
    and placed an image and text within it. Now when I view it in the
    browser it's all the way over to the left side of the browser and
    the top. The top is fine, but what I'm trying to accomplish is to
    move the box to the center of the browser screen. I would greatly

  • Display more than 7 users in the #SAPB1 calendar

    How do I see more than 7 users in the #SAPB1 calendar? Transpose the present layout - users vertical/time line horizontal would also be a good idea. I'm aware that you can change the 7 by using the formsettings but this is too time consuming.

    Hi Martin,
    Only way to show more users is enable them from form settings.
    also You cannot display more than seven users in the Group View simultaneously.
    Thanks,

  • The latest Content Viewer and HTML5

    I have a publication on my iPad which played fine on the previous version of the Adobe Content Viewer. The folio has an html animation in a web overlay. The animation no longer plays properly. I note that this folio previews correctly on the desktop viewer. I created another version of this folio as a pure html "stack" -- same problem.
    I'm working on a MAC OSX 7.62 and ID 5.5. Everything is updated.
    It requires a certain level of confidence in the product to get out there and pitch the work to prospective clients. I don't have that.
    As of this morning Adobe has a market value of $14 Billion --- seems to me the company could afford to QA releases and maybe hire some interface designers.

    Hi, Johnm64,
    have your animation any interaction?
    I have another experience: I'm trying to make an animation with interaction in html5, using Hype. It works fine on the Hype's preview and in the desktop viewer. But when I try the content viewer, it lost its orientation - the layout is vertical and i don't know why it appears horizontal.
    Who can help me?
    Tks,
    Renata

    Hi
    I am facing a mysterious problem with partial page rendering in ADF UIX.

    Please suggest if you know of any documentation on ADF UIX partial page rendering.
    ADF UIX has very little documentation online and finding it hard to debug this issue.
    It ll be of great help.
    Thanks
    Kamal

    Hi Jason,
    As of EA9, all rendered components support a partialTriggers attribute. This attribute takes a list of master component IDs. If any of the master components are updated via a partial event, the dependent component will be rerendered in the partial update.
    If you are on an earlier release, you should upgrade.
    Thanks,
    Jeanne

  • Captcha Image Not Showing

    Hi, I am generating the Flash forms formypages, One thing i
    came across is that how do i mange touse the captcha image inside
    the cfform flashform, It shows no eror but dos not display the
    image., can anybody had done xperimenting this thing.
    the code is like this:
    <cfform action="" method="post"
    enctype="application/x-www-form-urlencoded" name="form1"
    format="flash" width="400" skin="haloOrange" id="form1"
    height="450" style="background-color:##FFFFCC; font-family:Verdana,
    Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:10px; table-layout:auto;
    vertical-align:middle;">
    <cfformgroup type="page" label="Add New Link">
    <cfinput type="text" name="textfield" required="yes"
    message="URL Value Required" validate="url"
    validateat="onsubmit,onserver" label="URL of Website:" size="20"
    tooltip="URL Valid Value Like
    http://www.yourdoamin.com"
    tabindex="1">
    <cfinput type="text" name="textfield1" required="yes"
    message="Title of URL" validate="noblanks"
    validateat="onsubmit,onserver" label="Title of URL:" size="20"
    tooltip="Name of the URL" tabindex="2">
    <cftextarea required="yes" name="textfield2"
    label="Description:" validate="noblanks"
    validateat="OnSubmit,OnServer" message="Description Required"
    tooltip="Description of the Website Required" tabindex="3"
    cols="25" rows="4" wrap="virtual"> </cftextarea>
    Image Verification: <cfinclude template="captcha.cfm">
    <cfoutput> <img src="#easyCaptcha.IMAGE#" border="0"
    height="100" width="100"/> </cfoutput> <cfinput
    name="secret" type="text" label="Veriication Code:" required="yes"
    size="10" message="Image Verification failed" />
    <cfinput type="submit" name="submit" value="Add the Link"
    tabindex="4" validateat="onSubmit"
    validate="submitonce">
    </cfformgroup>
    </cfform>
    </body>

    I'd suggest moving the include for captcha.cfm above the
    <cfform tag
    Then try this for including the captcha image in the form.
    <cfformitem type="html" height="100"
    width="100"><p><img
    src="#easyCaptcha.Image#"/></p></cfformitem>
