Ldapsearch for default domain not returned after AM install

I have sucessfully installed JES2005Q4 (ds, mail, cal, uwc, ldap, am, da, web) many times before with Solaris 10 zones, but this problem is a first. Basically, after installing Access Manager in a seperate zone under the web server, I can not get the "o=<defaultdomain>" entry back when using ldapsearch.
Steps taken
1. Install DS in a zone (base DN: o=isp)
2. run idsconfig (default domain/DN: o=school.k12.ia.us,o=isp)
3. Install web server and then AM in a zone
4. Restart web server
5. Restart the directory server
I can run the {ldapsearch -D "cn=Directory Manager" -w password -b "o=isp" "o=*"} after each step above and get the default domain in the search results except after the last step. No indication of errors in logs or during the installs.
Is the longer domain name the problem? I have used the longer domain name "school.k12.mn.us" with preivous version w/o problems. I have also used this version of JES with my current flash archive (Solaris 10 1/06, recommed ~ 1/15/06).
Thoughts anyone?

Your info is somewhat strange - you told us that the DN of the default domain is o=school.k12.ia.us,o=isp, but the ldapsearch shows something totally different. At least the DN must include o=internet,o=isp.
It could be that for some reason that after one of the steps a presence index for the attribute "o" has been configured at the DS. If you haven�t reindexed your database yet searches for o=* will not give you back any result.
Can you try to reindex the database (either using db2index or db2index.pl) - see DS admin-guide.

Hi, I'm trying to install j2ee Sun AppServer 1.4 under XP. The installation fails because of this:
"ERROR - default domain creation returned following exception: abnormal subprocess termination: Detailed Message:Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden."
Here is the translation for detailed message: System can not find the specified file.
I'm have an admin account. I also tried to create a domain by using:
asadmin create-domain adminport 4848 adminuser admin adminpassword adminadmin instanceport 8080 domain1
But I get the same message again.
Can any one help please?

I didn't have any previous installations. I don't know what I did wrong... I solved this problem by not choosing the option to create a domain server rhight after the installation starts. Here the installation was successful.
After the installation I started then the domain server like described in the "Quick Start Quide":
Programs
--> Sun Microsystems
--> J2EE 1.4 SDK
--> Start Default Domain
So I was able to run the samples.

Gpib, wait does not return after timeout

I use this code line:
gpibDevice.Wait(GpibStatusFlags.DeviceServiceRequest | GpibStatusFlags.Timeout);
I want to wait for a Service Request or a Timeout.
The IOTimeout is set to 1s, but the Wait function does not return after 1s.
What is the problem? Do I have to set any other timeout?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then either copy or drag it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

Remember, steps 1-5 are all drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste, whichever you prefer — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.

Go to the printer manufacture website and download the drivers for your printer model for OS X v10.9 Mavericks.
Then open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Print
Select your printer on the left then click - (minus)
Then click + (plus) to add the printer.

Premier elements 12 will not run after re-install

Premier elements 12 will not run after re-install - it is legal and registered with adobe under my ID. WTF! The reason I re-installed it was because it could not find the internet - which is working. And premier 12 was working for a while then quit - that is why as a last ditch effort - i re-installed it. Any ideas?

Bottome line - never write code that uses implicit date conversions since your code becomes client NLS settings dependent and might work for one client and fail or produce wrong results for other client.

MLB Extra Innings blackout for HD channels not lifted after game

MLB extra innings puts up a blackout screen when the broadcast is for the local team.
After the game, the blackout is supposed to be lifted. The 'default' schedule screen of the MLB games comes up if there is no game being played. This is how it works for the SD bank of 13 channels. However, the blackout is not removed for the HD bank of 9 channels.
THis has happened multiple times. No one has solved the problem, but manually removes the blackout for me after some period of time.
Now the network group won't even do that, but come back, saying, wait till there is a game on. THey have done this to me the last two times.
Since the local team can be on any of the HD channels, this means it can block a different channel every day.
I have given up that the problem will be fixed, but need a workaround to get the channel blackout lifted in the easiest fastest way. I am waiting for last night's game blackout to be lifted in the next 3 hours to get the non-local game that starts then.

Try getting MLBTV. It is a streaming service through many devices that allows you to watch every game in HD and if you buy the premium service you can choose between the home feed and the visitor team's feed. At first it was glitchy but they have worked all the bugs out. I have mine running on my PS3. MLB Extra Innings is way overpriced and has only a portion of the games running in HD and the rest in SD. I have not had any blackout issues in 3 years. I used to have MLB Extra innings and called Verizon customer support about the lack of HD games. She told me that they only pass through the games that are broadcast in HD. I told her that all MLB games are broadcast in HD. She argued with me that I was wrong. Of couse she was Indian and like 99% of my contact with customer support, are of 0 help!. It is a shame because for the most part, Verizon has the superior products but falls way short on technical support. Comcast on the other hand does not equal Verizon on their product line but have excellent customer support and technical. When I had them I always got someone local who was American and spoke fluent english and understood my issues. They would dispatch someone to fix the problem. They did not him and haw and give the Verizon standard phrase " If we find the problem is on your end you will have to pay" I would jump ship now but my wife does not like change especially with emails.

Stats for inbound domains not src domains.

Is there a way to display stats for inbound domains and not from the src domains? We filter mail for a couple different domains and I want to know which domain is getting how much email, I mean with out having to goto the trouble of setting up sawmill or something, I have 2xC350's and an M160.

The only way I've found is via a report only available on the M series called Domain-Based Executive Summary. It allows you to specify the domains and produce reports that look just like the Overview page, but filtered by the domain or domains. We run those reports for each of our customers so they have specifics on their domains. I wish this was available as a live report page as well.

"Never" option for autolock does not appear after upgrade to iOS 7. How can I fix this?

I have exchange email account that requires autolock, but before upgrade, if I turned mail off, the never option would appear for autolock, but not now.

Yes I have an exchange email account set up on my ipad. Before update, I could turn exchange email off and then change autolock to never. Now, even with exchange turned off, only 2 minutes or 5 minutes options appear.
