  • Document Templates in MS Word - how to cut the leading zeroes in number

    Hello CRM gurus !
We use document templates in MS Word but have the document number printed with the leading zeroes.
    example we have now:
    0005000681
    example we want to have:
    5000681
Question - how to do that?
Is that in standard? The document number is the ObjectID tag as far as I know. Do I need to create another tag?
Or may be just call a function? Do I need to change my current Web Service Tool? Is that some extra ABAP to be inserted?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
have you tried to use this function call to delete de leading zeros?:
         CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT'
           EXPORTING
             input  = value
           IMPORTING
             output = value.
    Best regards

  • Leading zeros with 24-hour clock?

I have my system preferences set to 24-hour clock.
How do I get the times to display with leading zeros?
For example, 06:45 instead of 6:45?

As I said before, you need to explore. I was able to add it in less than 30 seconds.
Let me try to explain. It is easy to do, but more difficult to explain.
Go to Sys Prefs/Int'l/Formats pane. Choose Custom in the Times area. Choose Medium in the Show drop down menu. (Medium seems to be the one used by OS X for the menu bar clock.) Here you can arrange the order of the different components as you like. Notice they have little arrows indicating drop down menus. Most of the optional formats offer a leading zero.
Even though you have formatted it in the Int'l pane, you must choose for some of your formating to show in the Date & Time/Clock pane.
    Good Luck.

  • EBS check number with leading zeros

When we upload EBS, we are getting the check number in the record 16 (reference field). But unlike the check number posted in SAP, the check number in the BAI file has 2 leading zeros. Now since check number is coming in record 16, instead of record 88 we are not able to solve this problem through String configuration.
So, we thought of following solutions(Options):
    1.    Modify the check lot numbers to have two leading zeros plus associated changes like the form and so on.
    2.    Modify the check number in the incoming file u2013 strip the check number with two leading zeros with the use of customer enhancement. (After upload and before posting)
Can we solve the problem of leading zeros (before the check number) through any configuration steps instead of changing the SAP script form for check(Check lot) or going for customer enhancement.
    Thanks
    Ron

You are correct, since the check numbers are coming through only in the 16 records and not in the 88 records, you cannot use a search string to resolve the issue with leading zeros.  Also, I do not know of any other configuration that can be used to reformat the reference values in the 16 records.
The 2 solutions you have listed are both valid options.  Although with the first option (changing the check lots), you would need to make sure the business users approved of changing the check lots before going forward with that option.  And you would still have to manually clear checks that had been issued prior to the check lot change.
At my company, we went with the second option - using ABAP code to update the check numbers from the file to match those in SAP (we actually had to add leading zeros to the check numbers).  In our case, we had already created a pre-processor program for other re-formatting of the file that was needed prior to loading it into SAP - so we added the check number logic to that.
However, if you do not have a pre-processor program, I know there is a user exit available for EBS - exit EXIT_RFEBBU10_001, include ZXF01U01.  I have heard of others using this exit to update the check numbers from 16 records.  The exit is called during the FF.5 processing.

  • Delete leading zeros of Attributes in Webclient UI

    Hello,
to make the UI more userfriendly i used Function module "CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT" in the GET_* Method of some attributes. For displaymode this works fine.
Also in Editmode the leading zeros are gone. But in Edit mode the data is no longer displayed      right-justified in the field.
For example if i deleted 4 leading zeros with this function module there are 4 spaces at the end of the number in display mode.
Does anybody know how this can be changed?
    Thank you
    Best regards
    Manfred

    Hi Manfred,
I believe, never tried though, that you can control this via the M-Getter method.
Implement one for your attribute and give a DDIC datatype that is displayed right justified in other cases.
    cheers Carsten

  • Leading zeros are coming in assignment field

    Hi,
We have posted customer advance document through F-29 and we are giving cheque number in assignment field which is of six digits. But after running transaction FF68 system creates one session and when we execute that session system creates one accounting document but changes the cheque number with 13 digits value(seven leading zeros with cheque number). If we follow the above  process in (development server)system is only showing cheque number without any leading zeros but the settings of both the servers are same.
    Request immediate help.
    Thanks in advance.

  • IR truncating leading zeros in my popup window report

    Hello,
I am using IR_columnname, for one of the columns in my report which is a popup window report.
My problem is that IR_column search filter in my popup window is truncating the leading zeros.
I am getting the value but it is truncating the leading zeros.
like say if the deptno is something like 020 or 0020 in the parent window.
the IR_columnname value is taking '20' (its truncating leading zeros) with this filter its not dispalying the result in my popup window.
can anyone help me out with this.
    thanks.

How are you passing values to the IR filter? There could be a possibility that you source logic is truncating the leading zeros.
    Thanks,
    Manish

    Hi
    Use below FM.
    CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT
Try out below FM with the above one.
    <b>CLOI_PUT_SIGN_IN_FRONT</b>
    <b>ISJP_GET_SIGN</b>
    or you can use
<b>WRITE variable USING EDIT MASK '-___________'.</b>
    or
    <b>CONCATENATE syntax</b>
Hope it will solve your problem

  • Create Master Data with leading zero

    Dear Expert,
Our customer request to create Customer Master/Vendor Master/Material Master with leading zero. For example: they want to create Customer 0234578.
I can do that for material, would you please advise how to do the same for customer/vendor?
    Thanks you,

    Dear Mr.
Our customer number is in numeric, then this error happen. If customer number constants 1 char, then system will keep zero leading (ex: 012A4) But if customer number constants only numeric, even i type zero, system will remove leading zero.(01234 ==> 1234)
    Please help.

  • Need formula to take text from one cell, add that to a serial number with leading zeros

I'm trying to create a spreasdheet cell that simplifies creating videotape Numbers from a job name in cell and appends a serial number with leading zeros, and that would survive an export to EXCEL.
    The result would look like
     A Column
    Job Name
    B ColumnTape #
    Formula needed for B
    ClientName-TapeType-
    ClientName-TapeType-001
    =
    ClientName-TapeType-
    ClientName-TapeType-002
    =
I've tried using a custom cell format that had the text in front of the (Integer) drag and drop, with three integers and leading zeros.
That worked, but requires recreating the custom cell format for each client and tape type.
So, I've used the formula =A2& in order to play around with different things, but haven't hit on something that adjusts for increased numbers and retains the leading zeros.
I don't mind doing a starter for the first row and then adding +1 in the formulas for the rows below.
I've done that using the custom cell formats for the first B cell and then using =Bx+1 in the following cells.  It works, but I'm hoping to find something simpler or that can be copied and pasted in multiple rows on one paste.
    Thanks in advance.
    Suggestions much appreciated!
    Ted

    Ted,
This expression in B will give you the pattern I believe you are looking for:
    =A&RIGHT("00"&ROW()-1, 3)
    Here's a screen shot...

  • BPC 7.5 NW: Master Data with leading zeros

In BPC 7.5 NW, is it still an issue to have Master data with leading zeros?
In other words, is it still not advisable to have leading zeros in the Master data.
    Let me know your views.
    Thanks.

I was also having the same issue almost in the same version.
Other than what you mentioned, the master data was also jumbling up like 0120, 0130, 0145, were set up as 120, 145, 130....
The workaround that we took was to put a leading alphabet, when the data comes into BPC.
Try doing that, it will surely help.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

  • External number Range with leading zeros for Handling Units

    Hi Experts
My requirement is to use the External number for the Handling Units provided by vendor. That number starts with 2digits"00"+18  for Example:00123456789123456789
I am Using HU_VEKP Object for no range and maintaining
External No Range From 00000000000900000000 to 00000000000999999999.
But When i am giving Number 00000000000900000001 its only taking
    900000001.
Kindly suggest me the right way to take leading zeros.
Rewards for answer sure if it works.
    rajesh

    Hi Laksmipathi
I am maintaining the number range for External number range coz its vendor supplied HU.
But the prefix zeros has meaning for identifying the Handling unit Functionality. In realtime IF prefix contains Say "0000" it refers to carton
If prefix contains say "0010" it refers to pallet.
So i need to satisfy there requirement. For example If it is for material number we can maintain In OMSL by check box of leading zeros.
But i am not able to find any setting for this Handling units.U can check this object HU_VEKP in SNRO tcode where i am maintaining Number range.
    Thanks give suggestion

  • Re: Material number with leading zeros (40 char long)

    Hello Experts,
I am working on SAP ME 6.1.4.15.
I am having a problem with the material number appearing in production order / planned order request document in MEINT and failing there since the material it is looking for is with leading zeros (for example 1291 appearing as 0000000000000000000000000000000000001291) - a total of 40 char long.
But this material exists in ME as 1291 only. Can any one throw any light on this as to what could be the reason and how to solve it?
    Thanks
    Srinivas

    Dear Srinivas,
SAP Note 1799009 - 'Presence of leading zeros is inconsistent over IDOC thus SAP MEINT cannot handle all inbound IDOC consistently' should help to resolve the problem.

    Alex.

  • How can I format a number with leading zeros?

I need to convert an int to occupy exactly 3 positions in a StringBuffer... I need the space in the StringBuffer to be filled with leading zeros where appropriate. Can anyone show me how to do this correctly please ?
At the moment I am using a pretty dumb workaround to fill the target with "000" first and then parse the int into either 1 2 or 3 positions depending on its value ... it works, but there must be a more correct way to do this ...
    Thanks in advance ...

Have you had a look at the class java.text.DecimalFormat? It does exactly what you want... example:
    StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
    DecimalFormat format = new DecimalFormat("000");
    format.format(2, sb, new FieldPosition(0));
    System.out.println(sb);
    prints out the string 002.

  • Leading zeros-master data

    Hi All,
We have a characteristic 'Material'(custom defined master data infoObject) of length
    10,Conversion routine:ALPHA, datatype :CHAR,& output length:10.
Requirement is Material number should be displayed as 10 digit number(characters ) in Bex
    report.
but for some of the materials,we  don't have 10 digits for example we have a material
123(this 123 should be seen as 0000000123 in Query output).
When i am displaying infocube contents or master data contents i could see 123 as
0000000123. but with F4,it shows 123 as 123  and in Query output also as '123'
1.actually How data will be stored in infocube and master data tables? (either 123 or
    0000000123)
    2. one soution to display matarial as 10 char in report is  with  transfer/update routine by
    adding leading zeros.
Is there any other way to achieve this without using routine ?kendly let me know.
correct me if my above asumption is wrong.
    thanks

    Hi Murali,
the Alpha Conversion ist used to convert data between an internal and an external view. The internal view is how the data is physically stored in the database. The external is i.e. how the data is displayed in reports.
At some point the Alpha Conversion (if defined for the characteristic) is automatically used - you can not change it. This means that in this cases you can only see the external format. The BEx Reporting is one place and the F4 help another.
In some places within the BW system (no enduser view) you have the option to see the data in the internal format. One of these places ist the cube content. There you have a flag "Do not use any conversion". If this flag is activated you will see the data in the internal format. But this is NOT the format a user will see in reporting.
In your case the internal format is the value "0000000123" and the external "123".
    Hope that helps
    Regards
    Adios
