License value change afer ARE3 reference

Hello,
I am facing a issue while creating ARE3 while updating CT3 license in ARE document.
We have created CT3 license with amount 10000 and three ARE3 documents created against  same license.
Now user is creating final invoice against same license due to rounding of excise duty there is difference of Rs 1  in excise duty and License.
How to handle this?
ATP

Hi,
you are right the licence will not be updated but you can use the report J1ILICSUM for checking the remining quantity and values.

  • Can I change a cross reference display without having to recreate it?

    WHen cross references are to figures on the same page, I let the cross reference point to the paragraph number only ("see View 25"). When it is on another page, I use paragraph number and page ("See View 25 on page 34"). But when my text changes, sometimes text moves, sometimes images move and I need to change the cross reference. It is quite bothersome, I have to rmeove the old one and create a new one, hunting for the cross reference in a list of 150 or so.
    Is there a simpler way? E.g. put the insertion point in the cross reference and than some easy way to select a different appearance?

    Thanks for stepping in, Jan. I'm glad the smart page-reference building blocks in Cross-References Pro can actually do what I hoped it could, to solve this riddle for the original poster. I did a quick test, just to be sure it worked as I expected, and it does! It would be great for Adobe to license your technology and build this into InDesign, along with the rest of the extra-strength cross-reference abilities. (Disclaimer: I'm not connected to DTP Tools other than being a happy user.)
    As to the unwanted space, perhaps a character style in nested and/or GREP style could apply some kind of width adjustment that would reduce the displacement to an absolute minimum.

    Hi, sorry for being a little late on this one. Here's a sample of the Cross-Reference PRO format you're looking for is:
    See Figure <paranum/> <pagenum usesectionname="true" forcearabic="true" usepage="true" pagetext="on page #" usethis="true" thistext=" " usenext="true" nexttext="on the next page" useprev="true" prevtext="on the previous page" useopposite="true" oppositetext="on the opposite page"/>
    The trick is that you include the words "on" and "on the" in the page wording definitions, but insert just emptu space for the This Page setting. There's a glitch that you end up with an extra space after the reference, but you can replace the normal space by a hair space (code ^| ) which makes it quite tolerable.

  • Java is call by value or call by reference

    Hi! friends,
    I want to know,java is call by value and call by reference.
    Please give the the exact explanation with some example code.

    All parameters to methods are passed "by value." In other words, values of parameter variables in a method are copies of the values the invoker specified as arguments. If you pass a double to a method, its parameter is a copy of whatever value was being passed as an argument, and the method can change its parameter's value without affecting values in the code that invoked the method. For example:
    class PassByValue {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            double one = 1.0;
            System.out.println("before: one = " + one);
            halveIt(one);
            System.out.println("after: one = " + one);
        public static void halveIt(double arg) {
            arg /= 2.0;     // divide arg by two
            System.out.println("halved: arg = " + arg);
    }The following output illustrates that the value of arg inside halveIt is divided by two without affecting the value of the variable one in main:before: one = 1.0
    halved: arg = 0.5
    after: one = 1.0You should note that when the parameter is an object reference, the object reference -- not the object itself -- is what is passed "by value." Thus, you can change which object a parameter refers to inside the method without affecting the reference that was passed. But if you change any fields of the object or invoke methods that change the object's state, the object is changed for every part of the program that holds a reference to it. Here is an example to show the distinction:
    class PassRef {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            Body sirius = new Body("Sirius", null);
            System.out.println("before: " + sirius);
            commonName(sirius);
            System.out.println("after:  " + sirius);
        public static void commonName(Body bodyRef) {
            bodyRef.name = "Dog Star";
            bodyRef = null;
    }This program produces the following output: before: 0 (Sirius)
    after:  0 (Dog Star)Notice that the contents of the object have been modified with a name change, while the variable sirius still refers to the Body object even though the method commonName changed the value of its bodyRef parameter variable to null. This requires some explanation.
    The following diagram shows the state of the variables just after main invokes commonName:
    main()            |              |
        sirius------->| idNum: 0     |
                      | name --------+------>"Sirius"
    commonName()----->| orbits: null |
        bodyRef       |______________|At this point, the two variables sirius (in main) and bodyRef (in commonName) both refer to the same underlying object. When commonName changes the field bodyRef.name, the name is changed in the underlying object that the two variables share. When commonName changes the value of bodyRef to null, only the value of the bodyRef variable is changed; the value of sirius remains unchanged because the parameter bodyRef is a pass-by-value copy of sirius. Inside the method commonName, all you are changing is the value in the parameter variable bodyRef, just as all you changed in halveIt was the value in the parameter variable arg. If changing bodyRef affected the value of sirius in main, the "after" line would say "null". However, the variable bodyRef in commonName and the variable sirius in main both refer to the same underlying object, so the change made inside commonName is visible through the reference sirius.
    Some people will say incorrectly that objects are passed "by reference." In programming language design, the term pass by reference properly means that when an argument is passed to a function, the invoked function gets a reference to the original value, not a copy of its value. If the function modifies its parameter, the value in the calling code will be changed because the argument and parameter use the same slot in memory. If the Java programming language actually had pass-by-reference parameters, there would be a way to declare halveIt so that the preceding code would modify the value of one, or so that commonName could change the variable sirius to null. This is not possible. The Java programming language does not pass objects by reference; it passes object references by value. Because two copies of the same reference refer to the same actual object, changes made through one reference variable are visible through the other. There is exactly one parameter passing mode -- pass by value -- and that helps keep things simple.

  • Functional Module for changing the field Reference Key 2 in Tcode FB02

    HI,
    I have a one requirement to change a field Reference Key2 (XREF2) in transaction FB02. This field appears in FB02 during (refer steps below):
    u2022 In Initial screen after entering the Document Number, Company code &  Fiscal Year then click on u201CEnteru201D
    u2022 In next screen double click on u201CAccount u201C
    u2022 In next screen click on u201CAdditional Datau201D. We will get a pop-up window where the field Reference Key2 (XREF2) is there.
    We want to change this value of this field. Kindly let me know any Function Module available for this or any other suggestion.

    I don't know any such BAPI/FM (alas, many threads already) so i suggest you to use SHDB to build a batch input. FI_ITEMS_MASS_CHANGE  should not solve your problem.

  • Copying value of objects, not reference?

    This has been bothering me for a while. I learned that when you set one object equal to another you are really just assigning the same reference to both, so that if one is altered they are both altered. Well, how can you set one object equal to the value of another but not the same reference so that altering one will not alter the other. My concern stems from returning arrays in methods. Since the reference itself is passed, any changes I make to the array are permanent, correct, and not just existing inside the method? So I was thinking maybe the best solution would be to use a tmp{] variable that is equal to the VALUE of the array I pass in, and then return that, so the original array is not altered in any way. Is this the customary practice for dealing with such situations? If not, what is typically done? Oh and just for future reference, because it might be of value to know, how DO I copy a value and not a reference? (and yes, that WAS on purpose ;) )

    This is an old "problem", discussed at length by folks much smarter than myself, and (IMHO) there still is no definitive question, let alone universal answer. What I mean is that sometimes this ability to modify the contents of a collection or array within a method is highly desirable; and sometimes of course it's just a source of bugs, when a noob calls your method not realising that it modifies the contents of the passed array (which shouldn't make it past unit testing anyway)... So, I think probably the best thing I can do for you is to give you the terms to google.
    What you're talking about is called a defensive copy... which, especially with arrays and collections, typically involves a deep copy (make a copy of every attribute of every object, all the way down the reference tree)... as apposed to Arrays.copyOf, which is a shallow copy, i.e. it just copies the references to the "top" objects.
    If you're writing a system from scratch you could decide to implement clone methods for everything you ever need to defensive copy. Cloning is ugly, no matter how you cook it. It requires every part of the class heirarchy being cloned to support the clone method (properly).
    In the past, I've tried to write a "generic" copy method, in the abstract-base-type of a class heirarchy using reflections. Everything I've tried has "pretty fatal" flaws. The only "proper" solution (AFAIK) is to just implement clone in every single frickin class... and that's a lot more "boiler plate" code than I personally think should be required to implement such a common, mundane task.
    Alternately, you could make all your data transfer objects immutable, so a shallow copy (Arrays.copyOf) of the array is enough to protect the calling code from unexpected changes to the array contents because you are passing "a copy" of the references to things-that-cannot-change... So the callee cannot mutate a pointed-to object, and if the callee changes which object an array element points-to, you won't "see" the change... and of course the callee cannot change which array your reference points to, because Java passes references by value.
    Google all the italic stuff... Sun's stuff is the best, then lookout for IBM's stuff, and most Wikipedia articles are really good (a few not so good).

  • Component binding and Value change listeners

    Hi -
    I'm fairly new to JSF and are having a few teething problems.
    I have a date component in my registration page. Its made of up 3 text inputs (1 each for day, month, year). Since these need to be validated as a group I use a method in my backing bean (request scoped) to do this. (I saw this demonstrated in Core JSF).
    Here's my code for the date components:
    <h:outputLabel value="#{register.labelData.dateOfBirth}" /><br />
    <h:message for="day" styleClass="error" />
    <h:inputText id="year" styleClass="input smaller" maxlength="4" value="#{register.dateOfBirthYear}" binding="#{register.dobYearInput}" onfocus="doOnFocus('registerForm:year')" onblur="doOnBlur('registerForm:year')" tabindex="12" />
    <h:inputText id="month" styleClass="input smallest" maxlength="2" value="#{register.dateOfBirthMonth}" binding="#{register.dobMonthInput}" onfocus="doOnFocus('registerForm:month')" onblur="doOnBlur('registerForm:month')" tabindex="13" />
    <h:inputText id="day" styleClass="input smallest" maxlength="2"  value="#{register.dateOfBirthDay}" binding="#{register.dobDayInput}" validator="#{register.validateDate}" required="true" requiredMessage="#{register.msgData.dobMandatory}" onfocus="doOnFocus('registerForm:day')" onblur="doOnBlur('registerForm:day')" tabindex="14" />Now this works great.
    The other feature I have on the page is a select box so the page can be displayed in different languages. My application stores the current language in a session scoped bean. I have attached a value change listener onto the select box so the session is updated with the new language.
    <h:outputLabel for="languageSwitch" value="#{sessionBean.labelData.langSwitch}" />
    <h:selectOneMenu id="languageSwitch" styleClass="select" onchange="submit()" immediate="true" value="#{sessionBean.language}" valueChangeListener="#{sessionBean.changeLanguage}">
        <f:selectItems value="#{sessionBean.languages}" />
    </h:selectOneMenu>The request scoped beans have a reference to this session scoped bean, and use it to look up the page text in the appropriate language from the DB. IE:
    String label = getMessage(getSession().getLocale());The problem is on the registration page - because the date controls are bound to the managed bean the bean is (re-)created in the RESTORE_VIEW phase, BEFORE the value in the session has been update in the PROCESS_VALIDATIONS phase.
    I'm a little puzzled as to how berst to fix this problem - so any ideas that anyone has would be gratefully received.
    Thanks -

    Thanks for the reply Raymond -
    The request scoped beans don't actually store the Locale directly - they have a reference to the SessionBean which store the locale. So they determine the locale by the following:
    Locale currentLocale = getSessionBean().getLocale();The reference to the SessionBean is injected (by Spring) in the constructor of the request scoped bean. Then, in the constructor, the request bean queries the DB for the language specific text to display on the page. EG:
    public MyRequestScopedBean {
    String message = messageAccessor.getMessage(messageKey, currentLocale);
    }Unfortunately it is a requirement to use a DB to store messages, so we can't use resource-bundles.
    Firstly, Is this the best way of request scoped beans having a reference to the session? Or is there a better way.
    The problem occurs when I have a page that has control bound to the request scoped bean ie:
    <h:XXXX binding="myRequestBean.ZZZ />
    {code}
    Then the constructor of the request bean runs *before* the value of the locale is changed in the sessionBean - this means the page messages are looked up with the old locale.
    Any further advice would be a great help - Thanks

  • Drop Down Lists and Value Change Events

    I have 4 drop down lists each with a set of values from the database.
    Based on the value of the first list(ValueChangeEvent only for list1) , I fetch data from the database and set the 'selected value' in the other lists.
    I have a Submit button which takes values from these 4 lists and puts it in the database.
    Problem:
    I change list 2 through list 4 and hit a Submit button which inserts all the values in the database.
    However,on Clicking the Submit button I never get the new selected values, it always refers to the previously fetched values.
    I tried to recreate this case in a Sandbox without a database , Here is the code:
    Page1.jsp
    <h:selectOneMenu id="list1" value="#{SessionBean1.selectedList1}" valueChangeListener="#{SessionBean1.list1ValueChangeListener}"  onchange="this.form.submit();" >

       </h:selectOneMenu>
       <h:commandButton id="add" actionListener="#{SessionBean1.addActionListener}" value="Add"/>
        <h:inputText id="result" value="#{SessionBean1.result}" />SessionBean1
       public SessionBean1() {
            list1.add(new SelectItem("0","0"));
            list1.add(new SelectItem("1","1"));
            list1.add(new SelectItem("2","2"));
            list1.add(new SelectItem("3","3"));
            list2.add(new SelectItem("a","a"));
            list2.add(new SelectItem("b","b"));
            list2.add(new SelectItem("c","c"));
            list2.add(new SelectItem("d","d"));
            map.put("0", "a");
            map.put("1", "b");
            map.put("2", "c");
            map.put("3", "d");
        private void fetch_data(String value){
             selectedList2=map.get(value);
        public void list1ValueChangeListener(ValueChangeEvent vce){
                fetch_data(vce.getNewValue().toString());
        public void addActionListener(ActionEvent event){
            result=selectedList2;
        }I tried debugging and found that after the Value Change Event is fired only selectedList1 gets a new value during Update Model Values Phase and selectedList2 still has the old value.
    With this sand box project I cannot even get the second list to show the corresponding value.
    Any insight on this would be helpful

    Thank You Balus C,
    I just realized the reason why this is not working, I found the reason in your article Populating Child Menu's article, I am just
    putting it as a reference here.
    One concern is that the skipping of the UPDATE_MODEL_VALUES will also cause that the new values of the menu's which have immediate="true" set won't be set in the backing bean. This can partly be fixed by getting the new value from the ValueChangeEvent inside the valueChangeListener method and assign it to the appropriate property. But this won't work for other menu's of which the valueChangeListener isn't been invoked. This would cause problems if you select a child menu value and then select the parent menu back to null and then reselect it to same value again, the child menu which will show up again would remain the same selection instead of null while its child will not be rendered! To solve this we need to bind the menu's to the backing bean so that we can use UIInput#setValue() and UIInput#getValue() to set and get the actual values.+ The JSF lifecycle will set and get them in the RESTORE_VIEW and RENDER_RESPONSE phases respectively.+
    I am not sure I understand whether or not it is a limitation but the reason above is valid and I rolled back to binding my menus and getting to work with that.
    Is Binding UI components a wise idea because most of the attributes can be programmed using properties in Backing Beans unless you have to build new components?
    Thanks Again

  • How to trigger a value change listener in JSF without submitting the form

    hi friends,
    I have a JSF Page which contains a check box and a text box.
    I made the text box property as readonly.
    when i click the check box , i want to make my text box as editable.
    i achieved the above task by submitting the whole form when i click the check box.
    i want to acheive the same functionality with out submitting the form.
    In one of the references it is stated that "Value-changed handlers are executed if the page is submitted and the value of the component has changed."
    hope you got the question.
    please let me know, if you know the answer.

    Hi,
    If at all you dont want to submit the form and wanna reflect same form's field(s) as per the change in drop-down/check-box,
    you can simply achive it using traditional way of 'JavaScript'.
    For that you may typically give <h:form> tag any specific id say
    <h:form id="myForm"> and for dropdown/checkbox also you may give id say
    <h:selectBooleanCheckbox id="group" onchange="javascript:reflectChangedValue();"  ... >
    </h:selectBooleanCheckbox>and in the same JSP you can write any JS function say reflectChangedValue() as
    function reflectChangedValue()  {
         var formPrefix  = "myForm:";
         var groupId = formPrefix + "group";
         var value = document.getElementById(groupId).value;
          if(value) {
               // enale textbox here
          } else {
               // disable textbox here
    }For formPrefix and groupId, f you are having any doubts, you can refer to 'view source' from the browser,
    generated HTML of the working JSP.

  • LV7: how to catch 'Value change' event for cursor position in XY graph?

    I try to catch an event when the cursor position of a graph's cursor
    changes. I created a reference for the cursor array and registered a dynamic
    event 'Value change' for it. The event does not fire when the cursor changes
    (either by dragging it with the mouse or by direct entry of a new value in
    the cursor's X or Y fields. In contrast, when I register e.g. the 'Mouse Up'
    event for the cursor array, the event IS detected.
    -Franz

    So this is the same behaviour as that of a regular control which also does
    not fire a 'Value changed' event when it gets updated by e.g. writing to a
    local.
    At least the cursor's behavior is consistent then...
    But unfortunately also the direct user interaction with the cursor's numeric
    field does not fire the event, which is NOT consistent.
    I was trying to catch cursor changes in my event loop and had used a 'Mouse
    Up' event of the graph indicator to look for cursor changes (whose last
    position I had kept in a local or shift reg). In order not to miss a direct
    user interaction in the numeric field I added the dynamic event 'Value
    change' to the same event case, but with no success, it missed the direct
    entry ...
    according to what you say this seems to b
    e a bug then...

  • How to trigger value change in event structure

    Hii everyone, as the title, how should I trigger the value change event to pop up a message.. below is my connection..
    I want to trigger the event structure to pop up the sub-vi, when the flame and led are TRUE state... I using property node but still the event structure not able to execute.. How should I connect? Thank you very much...
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    There are several ways you can do it. First you have to configure your sub-vi so that it does whatever you want when it runs  (in the vi properties, top most window for example) and to make sure that it closes completely when finished (when clicking the "OK" button for example).
    You than need to make an asynchronous call to the sub-vi. There are several ways to do it. My favorite one is shown below. You go in the "Application control" sub-palette and select Static VI reference. I like this approach because it keeps track of the sub-vi path for you, as long as the sub-vi is in the same project. You then drag the sub-vi onto the empty square that will changes to your sub-vi icon. You then connect to an invoke node from the same sub-palette and select run VI. Set "Wait Until Done" to false and the main VI will keep running after starting the Sub vi. Set "Auto Dispose Ref" is the easiest way to go. Otherwise you have to keep track of the sub-vi reference and close it yourself when you're done.

    You'll need to enable digital filtering--insert the following property node into your code (call the property node before starting the task):
    Try a "Min Pulse Width" of a few us and increase it if you still are picking up incorrect readings.
    The errant numbers are coming from false edges being picked up during transitions, enabling digital filtering will cause the DAQ device to ignore any transitions with a pulse width of less than the set value.  Your 475 Hz 72% duty cycle signal should have a high time of about 1.52 ms and a low time of about .59 ms):
    656 Hz = ~1/(high time)
    1718 Hz = ~1/(low time)
    MHz values = multiple edges picked up during a single transition.

    I'm sorry I'm not aware of any "cumbersome" subpanels - unless of course you don't know what you're doing. There is this wonderful invention called a "subVI" that can be used to organize and simplify your code, or are they too "cumbersome" as well? You should really learn a bit about what you are pontificating over before you start running off at the mouth.
    Mike...
    I didn't want to step on your toes. No need to get personal.
    Subpanels make some additional code necessary that hasn't got to do anything with the actual program. And I AM using subIVs as I wrote in my first post, which is exactly the root of the problem.
    Nevertheless I now solved it in a way that comes close to what I wanted. I don't know if some of you meant your suggestions to be understood that way (at least I didn't ). The subVIs will now "insert" themselves (via invoke node) into a subpanel on the main vi, which they are given a reference of at call. This adds minimal aditional code, especially on the main VI which I want to keep as clean as possible. By clustering the panel reference into the parameters the subVIs are already given (not used in the example I attached below), there isn't even a change on the terminals of the subVIs.
    I got to check now if this works well with event structures within the subVIs or if it can create the same problems like multiple event structures within a single VI.
    So no global variables anymore and no writing values by property node. I don't know if this just wasn't possible in previous Labview versions I had a try at that (I guess it was 8.6 and/or 2009) or I just didn't come up with the idea back then.
    And if the text wasn't that helpful, here are two screens:

  • Line Item Value change in MIRO Transaction

    I have one  requirement i.e as follows.
    <b>Line Item Value change in MIRO Transaction</b>
    After getting the items in table control of  the miro screen of a particular order.
    I have to clicked on edit own condition of selected item.
    then it will show another screen ( create invoice document item - conditions)which have the all condtions details like
    Fra1 , frb1 , sd%  ,  Penalty % , gross price , frieght charges etc.
    In this screen first time it is showing line item as
    in the miro intial screen i.e. if u click po item
    10 it will show 10 only.
    after  updating fra1  value , i came back to the main screen at that time it is asking that select the any one of three.
    after selecting manual selection its fra1 was changed.
    once again if i go to the same line item by clicking
    the edit own condition(13 column if u select all information in textbox whixh is above tablecontrol right corner) it is showing line item as 1 in screen ( create invoice document item - conditions) which  should be line item as 10. ( here i took line item as 10)
    Please clarify this, why it is showing
    first time as  a original line item and
    after updating it is showing like
    for line item 10 -
    1
                   20 -
    2
                  100 -
    10
                  110 -
    11.

    "...it does not work..." is probably the worst description of a problem you can imagine. As an application developer you should know that. Do you use firebug to see what happens once it "does not work"? Any better hints?

    I want the g_item_no (repeating group) to have a page break each time LOCATION changes.

    You can declare two variables, to hold the previous and current LOCATION values and break the page when it differs.
    Or just before your end-for-each, have this code.
    <?if:position()!=1 and position()!=last() and LOCATION!=following::LOCATION[1]?><xsl:attribute name="break-before">page</xsl:attribute><?end if?>
    Ensure that its placed in a form field.
    This will have a page break when LOCATION changes.
