Link Color
If you want to make multiple links in different colors, how
do you do that? I don't see anything in the link preferences. There
must be a way.

Spry Menu Bar link colors not consistent
I have a horizontal Spry menu bar set up with 4 items in it.
The first item is the Home link and does not have a submenu, but
the other 3 items do. What I want is when you roll over the main 4
items the text link color will be purple (#583399). When an item
has a submenu the rollover text link on the submenu links will be
green (#89b11a).
My current code almost works, but the problem I am having is
that the Home link
without the submenu changes to a green color instead of
purple like the other 3 main links. If I add a test submenu to the
Home link then it turns purple like the other links. How can I get
the Home link to change to purple like the others without having a
submenu attached to it?
Here is my html code that refers to the menu:
<ul id="MenuBar1" class="MenuBarHorizontal">
<li><a href="index.html"
class="MenuBarItemSubmenu">HOME</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html"
class="MenuBarItemSubmenu">ABOUT</a>

<li><a
href="location.html">location</a></li>
<li><a
href="opportunities.html">opportunities</a></li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
Here is the Spry CSS code that pertains to the links:
/* Menu items are a light gray text with padding and no text
decoration */
ul.MenuBarHorizontal a
display: block;
cursor: pointer;
padding: 0.5em 0.75em;
color: #666666;
text-decoration: none;
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
/* Menu items that have mouse over or focus have green text

How to have 2 link colors on one page?
Learning CSS and am unable to make this happen. What am I doing wrong?

http://larrysullivandesign.com/sourceprintmedia.com/sourceprintmedia.css
The text links at page bottom (link-typeA) load up blue, even though the stylesheet calls for them to be gray (#E8E8E8), so they'll read on dark background.
I want blue links site-wide, and grey at page bottom, only for link-typeA
I want only one style sheet, if possible.
How do I make all the link stage (active,hover, etc) colors apply to just link-typeA ? Only way I can see is in Page Properties, which makes one single embedded style on each page. confused....
thanks!The divs are always referenced in the body and then you assign a class to that div. You can also asign a class to a table if you are using tables.
First make a refernce to an external style sheet and place all your css in there.
make your page and then assign the classes to the divs or tables.
If you think of a div as a container then you assign a class of (footer) to the container. The reference then looks to the external style sheet of where to find that class and then finds the .footer and assigns the correct attributes to it such as the .footer a:link{color:#000;}
you can also see the styles and assign them without handcoding by going to window/CSS styles -
How to change the Hyper links color in the XML form
HI SDNs
Do u have any idea how to change the hyperlink color in the xml form. My requirement is as follows.I have created xml form by using xml template and i displayed this xml form by using Km document iview. I need tochange the hyper link color in the xml form content. I dont want to go for manual process by editing the xml form. because i have several hundreds of xml forms.
Appreciate if you give suggestion.
Thanks
RamanaHi Ramana,
The most convenient way to change the hyper links is by using the Theme Editor. Go to System Administration --> Portal Display --> Select Theme --> Component-Specific Styles --> Links --> Function/Result Link.
Hope this helps.

[Locked] Link colors work in Firefox but not Internet Explorer
http://zenfotoz.com
I have changed the link colors by setting a CSS class to a non default color a:link to the div containing thumbnails. The site behaves as designed in Firefox, but uses default colors in Internet Explorer and no colors in Safari for windows.
Is this a known bug/issue with a workaround or am I just doing this incorrectly?
Thanks,

Mail - url link color changes in mail signature
Hello all,
I've just tested a new signature, created in mail. In it, I use a couple of custom colors to match our company colors. Looks great.
However, when I send it out to myself to test, my email info in the signature [email protected] and our webiste url www.ddddddd.com change to the standard blue URL link color upon receipt.
I'd like folks to see them in the company colors and not as that ugly blue.
How can I accomplish this?
Thanks!

Directly you can use Http://www.sap.com in the email body, then it will come as link in the Body of the email

Link color won't use 'default'
Hi,
I've used a DW template and built my pages from there. Several links on all pages in different colors. When designing, the proper color chosen, does show. When I go to Page Properties to make the link categories (rollover, viewed, etc.) the default color, they are turning blueish purple depending on the browser.
Isn't 'default' supposed to keep the programmed color?
I want to keep the link colors I programmed, with only a rollover link showing. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks so much!

Sorry to bother you again Osgood. I think I'm putting the info you shared, in the wrong spot. Can you tell me exactly where I add the code? I have mixed this around about 6 times since your reply!
Thanks!
It's difficult to help if you don't provide a link to the problem page.
Basically you can sryle any link on the page you want by simply adding some css to your page either in a linked css stylesheet or if you are not using a linked css stylesheet you can embed the css in the head section of the page.
An embebbed style sheet is as below: You insert the code from <style.............to..........</style> in your pages code directly before the closing </head> tag (see below).
<style type="text/css">
#content a {
color: #3C9;
#content a:hover {
color: #F90;
</style>
</head>
The above css says: Make a link this color (#3C9) in a container with the 'id' of 'content' and make the hover this color (#F90).
Typically your html code would look like:
<div id="content">
<a href="about_us.html">About Us</a>
<a href="contact.html">Contact</a>

Change visited link color in Safari 5.1.3
Visited link colors in Safari, most notably visited Google links when I return to the search page, don't change colors as they used to do... Actually, I think it's been that way for a long time (years) now but I am just now coming back around to being interested in why and if there is a way to get back to the days where new links were BLUE and visited links were GREEN (or whatever color you wanted)...
Is this still possible with the new Safari and if so, how do you go about setting this visted link color preference???
thanks... bob...This appears to be an issue affecting most versions of Safari from about version 5 onwards.
I recently experienced it with Safari version 5.0.6 and eventually found a fix adequate for my purposes.
1 - Sometimes simply selecting 'Private Browsing' (on Safari menu) and then deselecting it cures the problem.
2 - If that does not work I use the following Terminal command which has, so far, worked every time:
defaults write com.apple.Safari RegisteredSafariSyncClient -bool false
I must point out that I do not intend to use any sync services but it appears that if Safari gets confused it is necessary to use this command to reset its sync services.
3 - If you don't like using the Terminal command you could trash the following preference file although this more brutal approach is more likely to lose data:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
Quit from Safari before attempting 2 or 3.
I have only tested the Terminal command on Safari 5.0.6 on a Leopard G4 without any user defined sync services but it will probably work on other versions and OSs. It is always safest to backup first. -
How to Change Link Color Across Document
I have a 175 page PDF and figured out how to make all the web addresses hyperlinks document wide. Now, I'd like them all to be blue (right now they're defaulting to black). How do I do this? Thank you.
Its not easy. in fact it would have been easier to have changed the color first then added the links.
first open the touch up text by click on its button.
next click in a blank space before the link, space over with the left arrow key (end key) until just touch first letter of the link.
now hold down the shift key while hitting end key repeated ly until link is selected. now from File menu choose properties choose apperance and click the Box that is filled in with a color. chhose apropriate color click okay until you get out.
Repeat the process until all the link colors are changed. By the way the PC version of Acrobat does this automatically. Anotherway Adobe slights Mac Users. And to beat it all were it not for Apple Adobe would have started. -
I have several pages, and a template. I wanted to change the
default colors for hyperlinks. So, I open my template, then click
on Page Properties on the Template, then select Links, then I
change the link colors. I then save the template and tell DW3 to
update all my pages. Here's the odd thing.
If I link to an e-mail or a test link (ex: <a
href="blank">) the link colors work as I expect.
If I link to an actual page on my site, the colors don't
work! I can change the anchor tag in the same file back and forth
from "blank" to an actual page, and the colors work, then don't
work.
What in the world am I doing wrong?Pseudo-classes and container styles are what you need - here
are some

How i suppress the default link color?
Hi,
<p>
i have a little sql report, and i have coded the color for a column value in a function call. It looks like :
<p>
select format_html(col_x,5)
from mytable;
<p>
This function give me the following result:
<p>
---> select format_html(col_x,5) from syn
where rownum<10;
1<br>
2<br>
3<br>
4<br>
5<br>
<_font color="#dc143c">6</_font><br>
<_font color="#dc143c">7</_font><br>
<_font color="#dc143c">8</_font><br>
<_font color="#dc143c">9</_font><br>
<p>
Now all values > 5 have a different color. And this works fine.
<p>
But now i will link this column to an other page. And than the column has the default color for the link(wich is blue). How i can change this behavior, so the values have the color from the function and the links are only underlined?
<p>
Thanks for your help,
MaikHi Maik,
You can do something like the following:
In the region's Region Header for the report, add in:
<style>
.customlink:hover {color:red}
.customlink:active {color:yellow}
.customlink:link {color:purple}
.customlink:visited {color:green}
</style>
You can change "customlink" to whatever name you like and, obviously, pick your own colours.
Then in your SQL statement, add in a field that returns a stylename:
select field1,
field2,
CASE WHEN (test) THEN 'customlink' ELSE '' END STYLENAME,
etc
from etc
Then, in the link, in "Link Attributes", add in classname='#STYLENAME#'

Link Colors are always overridden
Firefox 11.0 on XP SP3
In "Options, Content, colors" even if the checkbox "allow pages to choose their own colors" is selected, the firefox link colors are still used. Occurs in all the sites I have looked at.
Turning scripting on/off makes no difference.
Firefox 3.x does not have this problem on the same machine.It's possible that the dialog is displaying the actual setting incorrectly. If you switch one or both checkboxes (page colors, system colors), OK that, then return to the dialog and switch it again, does that have any effect?
A standard diagnostic step is to try Firefox's Safe Mode to see whether it is caused by a custom setting or add-on.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode] using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the Safe Mode dialog, do not check any boxes, just click "Continue in Safe Mode."
If links are colored correctly, this points to an add-on or custom setting in your main Firefox 11 profile as the problem. -
Change text "link" color only in Spry Tab content area
