  • Join two list of integer type field using CAML query

    Hi
    As i am struggling in Join two sharepoint list (Roles and Emplyees). As there is no lookup columns and lists are already existing and have almost 3000 + recodrs. As a part of enhancement work need to join these list. List structure is some thing as follows:
    Roles :
    ID                              Title
    1                               Project Manager
    2                               Business Analyst
    3                              Developer
    Employees :
    Name                       Role
    1 James                  1
    2 Petar                    3
    3 John                     2
    Output should be like as follows:
    Name                       Role
    1 James                  Project Manager
    2 Petar                    Developer
    3 John                     Developer
    So please suggest, if the joining can be done other than lookup columns through the CAML query.

    Follow below CAML query to add joins between two lists.
    SPList list = SPContext.Current.Site.RootWeb.Lists["Employees"];
    SPQuery query = new SPQuery();
    query.Joins = @" <Join Type="INNER" ListAlias="Roles">
    <Eq>
    <FieldRef Name="Employees" RefType="Role" />
    <FieldRef List="Roles" Name="ID" />
    </Eq>
    </Join>";
    query.ProjectedFields = @" <Field Name="RoleName" Type="Lookup" List="Roles" ShowField="Title">";
    query.ViewFields = @ "<FieldRef Name="Title">
    <FieldRef Name="RoleName"> ";
    SPListItemCollection result = tablea.GetItems(query);

  • Specified url text input type of form in DW CS5

    If I wanted to dilspay a text input type form on the site's last page, Will the url link function during my table data display? I'm assuming it will be hoverable and active as a link if the text input type form used to submit the link to the database is set up properly? The text input type form creates a record that is automatically saved on a database that I can then use to check for display errors. What other type of url links work with text input type forms in DW.

    If I wanted to dilspay a text input type form on the site's last page, Will the url link function during my table data display?
    I don't understand what you are asking.  Can you say more about this url link function, and the text input type form?

  • A list of inputs using netui tags

    Hi all,
    we have a family of netui problems which occur quite frequently.
    The main problem is: what to do when we have a list of items (we don't
    now how many), and we want to display them, and get some input from the
    user.
    1. The simplest form, when the user only has to select one, is ok: we
    create a list of netui:anchor -s, with parameters, or we use a
    netui:select (but even in this case we don't know what to do if the name
    and the key of the items are different).
    2. The user should choose more then one item.
    a) We tried to use netui:select multiple=true. It renders fine, but we
    can't get the results properly. If the user selects only one item,
    it's ok, we can get it with a String field in the actionform. But if the
    user selects more items, then we can't catch them.
    We tried with String and List fields, but none of them worked (they
    contained null).
    b)It is more complicated, if we also want to display some attributes of
    the items, like:
    <checkBox> name1 description1 other attribute1
    <checkBox> name2 description2 other attribute1
    <checkBox> name3 description3 other attribute1
    3. The user should enter some text or number for each item
    e.g. (quite similar to 2.b)
    name1 description1 <input type='text'/>
    name2 description2 <input type='text'/>
    name3 description3 <input type='text'/>
    For 2.b) and 3) we have a workaround: we don't use netui:checbox or
    netui:textfield, but manually construct input boxes. The names of the
    boxes are the same that would be created by netui tags (e.g.
    {actionForm.input[1]}), so when the user submits the form the framework
    thinks that they were normal netui stuff and fills the actionForm with
    their data.
    4. The user can create a list on the fly, so he/she can even add more
    elements to the list. We can do it with a submit per new item method,
    but it would be better if could do it on the client side, and the user
    would click on submit only when he finished editing. e.g.:
    we want discounts in a tiered fashion: when the user buys at least 10
    pieces of a product, he gets 10%, more then 100 means 15%, and more then
    1000 means 20%. But it shouldn't be a fixed list, the administrator
    should be able to create as many ranges as he wants. It looks like this:
    Limit Discount
    <input1_L> <input1_D>
    <input2_L> <input2_D>
    <add more button>
    On the client side we can create the input boxes dynamically, with
    proper names, so the system will know which field(s) of the actionform
    we try to set. The problem is that when he submits the form, we get
    IndexOutOfBoundsException, since the field of the actionForm doesn't
    contain enough space for the items. Of course, we can initialize the
    field in the reset() method of the actionform, but at this time we don't
    know how many elements will it store.
    We checked the docs, samples, and the bea newsgroups, but couldn't find
    solutions to these questions (We have seen some similar questions in the
    newsgroups, so it seems other people also have some of these problems).
    I hope I described them clearly and you will be able to find ways to
    solve (at least some of ) them.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Using a form with two input type="submit" ... buttons...

    Hello All!
    I'm using a form to add and remove parameters for a service definition.
    <form action="serviceinput.jsp" method="post">
                   <table>
                        <tr>
                             <td><b>Level</b></td>
                             <td><b>Fieldname</b></td>
                             <td><b>Stucturename</b></td>
                             <td><b>Type</b></td>
                             <td><b>Format</b></td>
                             <td><b>Optional</b></td>
                             <td><b>Semantics</b></td>
                        </tr>
         <%
                        for (Iterator iterParameters = parameters.iterator(); iterParameters.hasNext();)
              Parameter parameter = (Parameter) iterParameters.next();
         %>
                        <tr>
              <td><%= parameter.getLevel() %></td>
              <td><%= parameter.getFieldname() %></td>
              <td><%= parameter.getStructurename() %></td>
              <td><%= parameter.getType() %></td>
              <td><%= parameter.getFormat() %></td>
              <td><%= parameter.getOptional() %></td>
              <td><%= parameter.getSemantics() %></td>
                        </tr>
         <%
         %>
                   </table>
                   <input type="submit" name="<%= parameters.addParameter() %>" value="add"/>
                   <input type="submit" name="<%= parameters.removeParameter() %>" value="remove"/>
              </form>
    The special thing about is, that I'm using two <input type="submit"...> buttons.
    The idea is, that I'd like to add one more row with attributes by clicking the "add" button and removing one row by clicking the "remove" button.
    If I use just one of them, it works fine. If I use both of them, nothing happens at all.
    Isn't it allowed to use two <input type="submit"...> fields?
    Is there an alternative? How can I implement my form the correct way?
    Thanks a lot in advance to all!

    Hi,
    Hai Tomi ,
    As swati already Explained U can try it with buttons,
    But u have to make a Hidden field and set the value of the hidden field
    with the Javascript code after pressing the button , Call a client side function which has an argument as given below
    Validate the Flag field in the JSP file
    <script language=javascript>
    function Validate(s)
    if(s==1)
         document.forms['ServiceInput'].elements["flag"].value="add";
    else
         document.forms['ServiceInput'].elements["flag"].value="Remove";
    document.forms['ServiceInput'].submit();
    alert("hai");
    </script>
    <form name="ServiceInput" action="serviceinput.jsp" method="POst">
    <table>
    <tr>
    <td><b>Level</b></td>
    <td><b>Fieldname</b></td>
    <td><b>Stucturename</b></td>
    <td><b>Type</b></td>
    <td><b>Format</b></td>
    <td><b>Optional</b></td>
    <td><b>Semantics</b></td>
    </tr>
    <%
    for (Iterator iterParameters = parameters.iterator(); iterParameters.hasNext();)
    Parameter parameter = (Parameter) iterParameters.next();

    <tr>
    <td><%= parameter.getLevel() %></td>

    <td><%= parameter.getStructurename() %></td>
    <td><%= parameter.getType() %></td>
    <td><%= parameter.getFormat() %></td>
    <td><%= parameter.getOptional() %></td>
    <td><%= parameter.getSemantics() %></td>
    </tr>
    <%
    %>
    </table>
    <input type=hidden name=flag value="bb">
    <input type="Button" name="b1" value="add" onclick= "Validate(1)">

  • Use of input  type="file"

    Hellow
    How can I use the HTML tag <input type="file" > in jsp/servlets ?
    how can I got the file and saving it?

    Take a look at this page: http://search.java.sun.com/search/java/?qt=jsp+upload&x=39&y=6 - it is a search page and you can use it to find whether or not anyone has asked the question you have before. Often you will find that the question you have asked has been asked before, sometimes as much as 29000 times. It is quicker than asking a question for the first time because you don't have to wait for replies. - they are already there. I also believe that if you don't know understand search engines you are unlikely to understand Java.
    To help with your search you may want to know that the "file" input type creates a Multipart request and that the term "com.oreilly.servlets" may well be relevant too.

  • Can't get parameter in struts when using input type="file"...?

    Hi everyone:
    Can the common html tag and struts tag be used together?I have an example:in jsp
    <html:form method="post" action="sendmail.do" enctype="multipart/form-data">
    <tr><td>MailTo:</td><td>
    <html:text property="mailto"/></td></tr>
    <tr><td>MailFrom:</td><td>
    <html:text property="mailfrom"/></td></tr>
    <tr><td>Subject:</td><td>
    <html:text property="title"/></td></tr>
    <tr><td>Content:</td><td>
    <html:textarea property="content" rows="7" cols="30"/></td></tr><tr><td>
    Attach:</td><td>
    <input type="file" name="myfile"/></td></tr><tr><td>
    <html:submit/><html:reset/>
    </td></tr>
    </html:form>
    In Action,I want to use the code "request.getParameter("myfile")" to get the file real path.But I always get "null".Why "request.getParamter("myfile")" is null although I choose a file in jsp?
    Can struts Tag and html Tag be use together?Thks

    Instead of the Request, you need to use MultiPart request in this case.
    This is because of the following statement you are using in the form tag. {enctype="multipart/form-data"}
    Hope it helps....

  • Changing button label;JSP; input type="submit" name="jboEvent" value="Search"

    Hello everybody,
    I try to develop a multilanguage application in which the button labels will change accordingly with the browser's regional settings.
    The line in the generated DataQueryComponent.jsp file is the following:
    <input type="submit" name="jboEvent" value="Search">
    If I want to change the value like value="Rechercher" the application will not execute the query.
    In fact the section
    <jbo:ViewCriteriaIterate datasource="dsQuery" >
    </jbo:ViewCriteriaIterate>
    is not executed.
    I tried to generate the button with:
    <input type="submit" name="jboEvent" value="Rechercher" onClick="this.value='Search'"> ,
    but for a long query the name Search will remain as button label on the screen.
    Any new solutions, please?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Uploading a file using input type=file

    Hi,
    I'm not sure if I'm in the right place or not. If not can you please let me know where to find and answer for my question.
    I'm trying to upload a file in oracle self-service (online page) and I found that the input type=file will let me select the file so I place the input type inside my htp.formopen command.
    I used the following when opening the formopen
    htp.formOpen(my_link, 'post',null, 'multipart/form-data');
    then I created the <input type="file"> tag
    But when I send the link to my second page to see if the input type works I get the page not found error.
    I'm thinking that maybe is because my 2nd page doesnt have a parameter that will hold the file but right now I'm not sure how to declare the file variables.
    Do you have any idea what could be wrong?
    Thanks

    What does your form do when you submit it? Handling file uploads is a bit of a convoluted process. I'd recommend starting here for some guidance:

  • How to get full path using HTP.PRINT(' "input type ="file") ....

    Hello everybody,
    I am working on uploading file from page to another one using HTP package, but whenever I submit the form, it only takes the filename without the full path.
    for example :
    if i sent 'c:\dir\a.txt' , the other page receives file parameter as 'a.txt'
    the code is here
    PROCEDURE upload(appno in varchar2,wsct in varchar2) AS
    l_real_name VARCHAR2(1000);
    BEGIN
    HTP.htmlopen;
    HTP.headopen;
    HTP.title('Test Upload');
    HTP.headclose;
    HTP.bodyopen;
    HTP.header(1, 'Test Upload');
    HTP.print('<form action="https://ssltrng.uaeu.ac.ae/trng/document_api.upload1" method="get">');
    HTP.print(' File to upload: <input type="file" name="file" >
    HTP.print(' <input type="submit" value="Upload">');
    HTP.print('</form>');
    HTP.bodyclose;
    HTP.htmlclose;
    END upload;
    the other page see it as
    file is 'Water lilies.jpg'
    Thanks

    Do not understand the problem.
    The code you've posted is a PL/SQL web enabled procedure that produces a dynamic HTML page. This page contains a form. And a full URL reference to the CGI that will process the form's data.
    This is unusual - as it seems to be that the form is submitted across domains and web servers.. You usually refer to a local CGI procedure to deal with a form - no need for a fully qualified URL that includes web server and domain name.
    If the CGI procedure that receives the form is also a PL/SQL web enabled procedure, that the uploaded file will be placed in the documents table (as defined in the DAD alias) by mod_plsql, prior to the web enabled procedure being called. The documents table will contain the Mime type, file name, file contents and other details.

    <input type = "time"> is added in HTML5.

  • Access to object list of type "BusinessSystem" using the InternalEOAService BusinessSystemAccessor failed

    Hi All,
    We are facing an issue in PI configuration when, we are unable to view business systems in the Integration Builder.
    ERROR : Access to object list of type "BusinessSystem" using the InternalEOAService BusinessSystemAccessor failed
    Our Landscape is as follows:
    PI : Based on NW7.4
    Connected to Central SLD on Solman 7.1
    OS : Windows 2008
    DB : MSSQL 2008
    We checked OSS note 1117249 - Incomplete Registration of PI components in SLD
    The problem seems to be with incomplete registration of PI components on the central SLD.
    In the Central SLD which we have configured, under the Process Integration tab we are unable to see entries for Integration Server, Adapter Engine, Directory, Repository and Runtime Workbench (RWB).
    Can you please help me with registering these components on the Central SLD so that these are visible during the PI configuration.
    Also, any idea if this issue is related to the different versions of PI and Central SLD system.

  • Getting access denied error while importing file using input type="file"

    Hi All,
    I am using struts application wherein I need to import file for some purpose.I have used input type="file" for the same which goes like:
    <input type="file" id="uploadFile" name="uploadFile" size="50">
    I have the import button on which I have used onClick event to call javascript function submitValues() used to validate all the fields from the page which goes like:
    <input type="button" name="select" value="Import" class="CSSButton" onClick="javascript:submitValues();">
    The JS function then in turn submits the form and calls the action.The problem is sometimes even when the correct path is specified for the file to be imported results in access denied error.This error comes sometimes and other times it works fine.But when this error comes,I need to relogin into the application and then it works fine.I am using IE7 for this.
    Any idea why I am getting access denied error while importing? Has it got something to do with IE7 version or with the input type="file" which is being used here?
    Thanks for any help if anyone can provide.

    Hi Friends,
    I have gone through scores of examples and i am failing to understand the right thing to be done to copy a file from one directory to another. Here is my class...So let's see... C:\GetMe1 is a directory on your machine, right? And this is what you are doing with that directory:
    public static void copyFiles(File src, File dest) throws IOException
    // dest is a 'File' object but represents the C:\GetMe1 directory, right?
    fout = new FileOutputStream (dest);If it's a directory, where in your code are you appending the source file name to the path, before trying to open an output stream on it? You're not.
    BTW, this is awful:
    catch (IOException e)
    IOException wrapper = new IOException("copyFiles: Unable to copy file: " +
    src.getAbsolutePath() + "to" + dest.getAbsolutePath()+".");
    wrapper.initCause(e);
    wrapper.setStackTrace(e.getStackTrace());
    throw wrapper;
    }1) You're hiding the original IOException and replacing it with your own? For what good purpose?
    2) Even if you had a good reason to do that, this would be simpler and better:
    throw new IOException("your custom message goes here", e);
    rather than explicitly invokign initCause and setStackTrace. Yuck!

  • Choose which content type to use in sharepoint 2013 list using InfoPath 2013

    So, in my head it seems pretty simple and a feature that might be standard to InfoPath so much in fact I can't find anything on it... My goal is to a have one list where you can do a drop down or buttons to choose which content type to use.
    I will be royally disappointed if this is not possible. =(
    So, c'mon you giants of MS Support. Give me a happy answer.

    Hi Lincoln,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to use multiple content types in a list.
    For achieving it, you can do as the followings:
    Open the list.
    Go to List Settings->Advanced Settings.
    Under ‘Allow management of content type’, select ‘Yes’, click OK.
    In the Content Types section, click ‘Add from existing site content types’
    Then add the content types that you want to add, click OK
    Go back to the list, click ITEMS->New Item, then all content types are displayed in the drop-down list
    When you click an item, you can select the new item is created based on one of these content types
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Wendy
