  • Calling abap web service from webdynpro

    hi,
    i have a problem in that i am trying to call an ABAP web service published from r/3 in webdynpro. when i browse to the url generated by the r/3 application server it asks for my r/3 user name and password (not to be confused with http proxy user name and password). now when i enter it, i can see the generated wsdl without a problem. pressing escape gives me the standard 401 error.
    please note this is the r/3 username and password which i am required to enter. when i try to get to the webservice in webdynpro. here is my code:
      public void wdDoInit()
        //@@begin wdDoInit()
        try
              Request_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1 reekvesta = new Request_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1();
              reekvesta._setPassword("userid");
              reekvesta._setUser("password");
              wdContext.nodeRequest_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1().bind(reekvesta);
              wdContext.currentRequest_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1Element().setWfKunnr("0000000011");
              wdContext.currentRequest_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1Element().modelObject().execute();
              wdContext.nodeResponse().invalidate();
        catch(Exception e)
              IWDMessageManager msgMrg = wdThis.wdGetAPI().getComponent().getMessageManager();
              String msg = e.getLocalizedMessage();
              if ((msg==null) || (msg.length()==0))
                   msg = e.getMessage();
              msgMrg.reportException(msg,true);
        //@@end
    i have also tried it this way:
      public void wdDoInit()
        //@@begin wdDoInit()
        try
              Request_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1 reekvesta = new Request_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1();
    wdContext.nodeRequest_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1().bind(reekvesta);     wdContext.currentRequest_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1Element().modelObject()._setUser("userid");     wdContext.currentRequest_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1Element().modelObject()._setPassword("password");
    wdContext.currentRequest_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1Element().setWfKunnr("0000000011");
    wdContext.currentRequest_YYMJ_WS_TEST1_DEF1_yymjServiceWebTest1Element().modelObject().execute();
              wdContext.nodeResponse().invalidate();
        catch(Exception e)
              IWDMessageManager msgMrg = wdThis.wdGetAPI().getComponent().getMessageManager();
              String msg = e.getLocalizedMessage();
              if ((msg==null) || (msg.length()==0))
                   msg = e.getMessage();
              msgMrg.reportException(msg,true);
        //@@end
    in both instances i get the error:
    Service call exception; nested exception is: com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException: Invalid Response Code: (407) Proxy authorization required
    please note
    1. i am trying to test this on my local sap j2ee server, on my workstation. i am not deploying this as of yet to the portal.
    2. i do have access to r/3.
    3. the r/3 application server is in our corporate intranet, and therefore excluded from being looked up by our proxy.
    4. our proxy DOES require a username and password. i added my user name and password to the webservice container section of the visual administrator, and excluded the r/3 server from the proxy list.
    what am i missing?

    Zafar,
    Check the endpoint in generated WSDL. Probably there is a host name that is not in "exclude list" for proxy settings (like IP vs host name, or FQDN vs short host name).

    Thanks Siva,
    My version
    Version: 7.0.09
    Build id: 200608262203
    I need to push my webdynpro application into QA system. so third party webservices also move to it's own QA system.
    Now Once I need to move my code to QA the webservice should point to third party webservice's QA system.
    This is the reason I am defining them in the Visual admin.
    This works fine when I use without using default destiation metadata and  execution .
    Since I need to move them to QA and at the same time webservice host is also moving to its QA server, I need to change the reference so that my webdynro model points to the QA server where the webservice is pointing.
    Please note WebAS QA server where my webdynpro for java program is depoloyed and the WEbservice is hosted in a different server and is a non SAP webservice.

  • Dynamic destinations for adaptive web service in webdynpro for java

    Hi,
    Please advice me on how to create dynamic destination for adaptive web service model in webdynpro for java.
    Regards,
    Patana

    Hi,
    If this is the case, then use the HTTP destination for this.
    What you need to do is:
    1. Create one HTTP destination in visual administrator at services-> Destinations. Provide HTTP url of the your web service and the security options.
    2. Specify this HTTP destination in the code before executing web service model.
    Write following code for that:
    wdContext.current<node name>Element().modelobject()._setHTTPDestination(<Specify HTTP destination name>);
    Then execute your web service model.
    Now, whenever you want to change the server on which your web service is running, make change in the HTTP Destination in visual administrator.

  • List available Web services on OC4J?

    Is there any Java API which lists Web services that are deployed to an OC4J instance?
    We cannot use API such as UDDI4J because the Web services may have not been registered although they have been deployed to OC4J.
    Any pointers on relevant documents are welcome.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    The OC4J 10.1.3.4 release has moved the out of the box libraries OC4J supplies for JAX-RPC/WS into a named/versioned shared-library called "oracle.ws.jaxrpc".
    This means you can now easily "unimport" these out of the box implementation from the view of an application, and replace them with newer implementations such as that provided by the Apache CXF distribution by publishing it as a corresponding shared-library and importing that into the application.
    See the documentation for 10.1.3.4 which describes this: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/web.1013/e12290/opensrc.htm#BABDDAIF

    Hi Sri,
    Per my understanding, you might want to update item using Lists Web Service.
    In Lists.asmx, the methods available are as below:

    I suggest you follow the documentation below about updating list item using Lists Web Service for a try in your environment:

  • Calling (HTTPS web service) in sharepoint 2013 workflow (SPD)

    I am using SharePoint 2013. I have created a list workflow in SharePoint Designer. I know there is an action "Call HTTP Web Service". Is it possible to access some webservice with authentication (username and password)?

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn567558%28v=office.15%29.aspx
    the OData formats support communication with anonymous web services as well as with those protected by various types of authentication. In short, you have full control over the request and response for each service call. This allows you to use a series of
    activities within a workflow to first authenticate using one service and obtain an OAuth token, and then include that token in future requests to services secured using the
    OAuth 2.0 protocol.
