Literal XML in BPEL 2.0
Hi!
I confusing the use Literal XML in BPEL 2.0,
is different in BPEL 1.0,the use required to implement BPEL Process.
In all the examples show in I was have copy to variable from output what contain <payload>,
but I would like to know what kind is the output variable to store the XML literal and
then copy it to the input variable from web service externo.

How to use xPath to extract a element from a xml stringin BPEL workflow?
I have a xml string passed into the BPEL workflow, and I need to extract the value of "serviceOrderGuid" (see the xml string below), how I can use BPEL mapper to do this? I am using NetBeans 6.0/M10.

I developed couple of workflows, in assign activity, I used query to retrieve some value from xml string, e.g.

I would like to validate the xml encoding in the BPEL process, does anyone know how to do this?
I mean, I have a BPEL process that receives an xml as the input. The input xml has a encoding specified. For example encoding="UTF-8". What I want to validate is that all the characters in the xml are valid in UTF-8 encoding (or whatever encoding is specified in the xml header).
I have used <property name="validateXML">true</property> in the bpel.xml. This works to validate the xml against the schema, but does not validate the encoding.
Please, I need help with this issue.

Bind the output data (Xml) from BPEL process to ADF SelectOneChoice Control
Hello,
My requirement is to invoke a BPEL process from ADF page and display returned results in a select one choice (drop down box).
I have created a Data Control for the BPEL process through Web service data control and tried to invoke the BPEL process. I could see from the BPEL console that BPEL process is getting invoked. But the ADF doesn't bind any of the output to Select one choice.
It doesn't even show any error.
Can you plz help me how to bind the output of the BPEL process to ADF SelectOneChoice control.

I have selected,
Base data source as "Variables" (Currently I don't need to update any table),
List Data source as "process: getStateTransitions.process.StateTransitionsProcessResponse.stateChanges" (Web Service Data Control)
Base Data source attribute as "process_input"
List Data Source Attribute as "toState"
I can initiate the web service (BPEL process) by providing the necessary input value like 'Open' or 'Pending' or 'Assigned' but the SelectOneChoice control doesn't populate with any values.

Problems with: orcl:lookup-xml in BPEL process transformation activity
All,
I'm trying to do a lookup (using orcl:lookup-xml) from a transform activity within a BPEL process.
The function editor in JDeveloper tells me that the following params are needed:
- docURL
- parentXPath
- keyXPath
- lookupXPath
- key
All of this is clear! In the examples I can find on the oracle site, the value for the docURL is always like: "file:/x:/somefile.xml". This works fine when I test the xsl on my local development pc. However when I deploy to my test environment (SOA Suite on Linux) this file reference isn't going to work obviously.
I want the docURL to point to an XML file which I include in the deploy of the BPEL process. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Can't get unparsed (XML string) BPEL response in servlet

String responsePayload = responseMessage.getPayloadString();but that returns null. responseMessage.getPayload() returns a Map from which I can successfully obtain the payload XMLElement, so the BPEL process is definitely working.

How to run JDev's generated build.xml file(BPEL project) from command win.?

When I execute build.xml file of simple BPEL project from JDev it runs properly. But when I try to execute it from normal command window It gives me an following error.
...........droping jar file xyz.jar from path as i doesn't exists.
While all jar files are exist there.But Ant drops it from Classpath variable.
So JDev sets some environment before executing such build.xml file.Like {oracle.home} variable u need to set while runnig build.xml from command window.

Read XML in BPEL and assign values to variables

I need to read an xml message in BPEL and assign variables created in BPEL the values of elements in XML message. Whats the best possible way to do this.When you say"*read an xml message*", is the xml coming as input message or you need to read from file ?
If you want to read from file, you can make use of the below function.
Returns the string value of an element defined by lookupXPath in a XML file (docURL) given its parent XPath (parentXPath), the key XPath (keyXPath) and the value of the key (key). Usage: oraext:lookup-xml(docURL as string, parentXPath as string, keyXPath as string, lookupXPath as string, key as string)
Example: oraext:lookup-xml('file:/d:/country_data.xml', '/Countries/Country', 'Abbreviation', 'FullName', 'UK') returns the value of the element FullName child of /Countries/Country where Abbreviation = 'UK' in the file d:\country_data.xml

Query regarding composite.xml and bpel

I am absolutely new to SOA.Last day, I was experimenting with BPEL processes.I dragged a BPEL process(TestBPEL) onto the SOA composite and exposed it as a SOAP service.Now the component(testbpel_client_ep) that is being shown in the left swimlane wired to the BPEL process, what is that?I mean is that a service itself.Again in the .componentType file, I saw a service was defined but the name of the service defined was testbpel_client.But I didn't define any other service,so where did that service come from?Again in the composite source I saw the follwing code was generated:-

If you open the bpel designer you should see this partner link on the left swim lane. And if you check the wire's in the composite source, you will see that the wire target is testbpel/testbpel_client. Partner Links are by which services and references are referred within the bpel designer.
what are the implications of the <interface.wsdl/> and <binding.ws/> tags?interface.wsdl specifies the wsdl porttype of the interface exposed by bpel.
bindings.ws specifies the wsdl port and soap:location for the bpel. You are not seeing the location part here as this is a service definition and soa runtime will automatically populate this depending upon your deployed environment. This section is more relevant for 'References' coz this is the place you have to modify the endpoint URL's of services you have to invoke. -

1. Your xml is not well-formed because the attribute values should be enclosed withing double " quotes and not single ' quotes;
2. You use a prefix (sml) for the folowing part but you dont define the namespace:

Well the conflict that I have is this,
previously defined a assign with XML Fragment copied it to the payload to the input variable Web Service (WSEjecutaComandos),
and the XML is copied in each of the variables ,
Then concatenate input values ( I remarked in red) < comandos > with the value from "fecha" ( String) , and again copy Variable < comandos > and did not have any problems
but now with the new BPEL 2.0, I do the same thing using now Literal XML ( that good!) but the option to concatenate (I remarked in red) and copied to the same variable ( I remarked in blue ), I mark the following error :
I should know, I'm doing wrong That , or you need to make XPath Function That The Value They already have the variable < comandos> will concatenate fecha ,
and is the final value for my entry my Web Service.
must be defined as the type values array <comandos[i]>
define the following activities before $InvokeClear_fnCRexec_InputVariable.parameters/comandos[1],
but it seems that this BPEL 2.0 does not respect me as index brackets .

XML format for input to BPEL process from client stub
Hi,
I have deployed SyncHelloWorld BPEL process as given in the tutorial in the BPEL Server. It is working fine. Now I am trying to invoke the process by creating a Java client stub . I created a stub using the Web-services wizard by specifying the WSDL of the BPEL. Now I want to know how to pass some string through XML document to the BPEL process.
I am using this code in the main method of the stub., but the value is not being passed to the BPEL nodes correctly. the output I am getting is "Hello "
and not "Hello XYZString". I think I am not able to form the XML document to pass as input correctly. Can anyone help.

DebojyotyYour last question shows that you might have solved this by now.
The xml document you are composing in java might not exactly be the xml input bpel excepts. The way to compare is first initiate a process by posting an html message, using the initiate tab for your process in the BPEL console. Check the box "Save as default input" before you send the html request.
Then again do an initiate from the BPEL console and select "XML Source" instead of "HTML Form". You will see the xml message you just have sent as html.
You might also want to test your java program with one of the many free soap clients available on the internet.
