LoadTest and Fusion/ADF scripts

I've been creating scripts against Oracles Webcenter using the Fusion/ADF module - they playback fine in OpenScript - but when used in LoadTest I have seen some extraordinary server loads against smalll numbers of VU's
To make it easier to diagnose I have created simple login /logout scripts & looking through the server logs comparing the manual vs OpenScript vs LoadTest runs
The Manaul & OpenScript entries show login & logout but the Loadtest entries only show login - is the any way of checking if the VU's have actually logged out as part of their session ?
connection persistence is set to false in LoadTest

OLT by default executes multiple iterations during load test. If you have login/logout steps in run block, these iterations could be the reason for more sessions. Regarding sign out test, you can use text matching tests for each request to make sure that the response received is as expected. That way, if log out fails, it will show up in the report.

ERRORS in the Lab - Developer Day: Oracle ADF and Fusion Middleware Dev

I atteneded the Developer Day on Oracler ADF and Fusion Middleware Development on 11/19. I did the lab (following step by step instructions) and encountered the following errors:
1) Export to Excel (Step 4, actions 5-9) - Got run-time 500 error when run app. I had to skip these steps to be able to continue with the lab.
2) Click on Printable Page (Step 4, action 16) - I looks like it works, but nothing shown up on the browser or printing actually happened.
3) Click on Create Insert (Step 4, action 26) - Got Java.Lang.NumberFormatException
4) There is no lab for mobile application development. Where should I start? [getting mobile plug-in software, lab tutorials]
The instructor said that I could post any questions on the Forum. I hope that this is the correct Forum to post these types of questions. Thanks much in advance for your responses.

Perfect, I get the exact same page when I login, however, this page doesn't have any links to the actual sessions. If I remember correctly, after logging in another window used to open in which we could select the session to play.
Please let me know how I can access the session from the page that is displayed after logging in. Thank you for taking time to check, appreciate your help.

Pagelets not rendering in Fusion ADF application pages deployed on standalone weblogic server

HI All,
I am creating a Pagelet Producer connection, and dragging a pagelet on the page as iframe, with height auto. When I run the application in the integrated weblogic server, I am able to see the pagelet. However when I deploy the application on the standalone weblogic server, then the pagelet isn't rendered.
I am using fusion ADF application 11.1.1.7 and standalone weblogic server v 10.3.6.

Sorry for the wrong infromation. The correct scenario is:
I have an ADF application, in which I have a Pagelet producer connection, pages and taskflows. This ADF application is inlcuded in a Webcenter Portal Framework application, as a shared library. When the WCF application is deployed on the Weblogic server, the pagelets don't appear on the pages.
I tried the FRAMEBUSTING context parameter to never but it didn't help.

Fusion adf page invoking web service can't pass WS-Security

I am using Fusion ADF web service data control build a page to invoking a Fusion web service call, and keep getting this error:
Client received SOAP Fault from server : InvalidSecurity : error in processing the WS-Security security header
While testing in soapUI, it works with username, password and Ws-Password type set to ‘text’.
I have been playing with adding different security Policies within the web service Data control, though no luck so far.
Any advices?

The problem is that now, with Weblogic Server the project is divided in two...
And the import goes with the BPEL.JAR and not with EAR files to Weblogic SoaDomain.
Someone knows where I can find some documentation about this issue ? This maybe could be a "bug" when deploying Human Tasks to Weblogic Appserver ?

Bundeling META-INF\adf\scripts\ or META-INF\adf\images in adf library

Hi,
I need to be able to create an adf library that can also include the following directories. This is to include custom converters. I have not been able to do that.
I can however create a regular jar deployment profile that will contain these directories using filters (include/exclude) but then my converters don't get packaged correctly to be recognized by the property inspector for dev.

META-INF\adf\images
META-INF\adf\skins

Right click and select Project Properties. Go to the Project Source Path --> Resource
Under Included click on Add. Here you can specify which all files/folders to be included/excluded.
Now go to Deployment and click on New.
Select Archive Type = ADF Library JAR File
Give a name to jar and click Ok.
Now when you do right click and Deploy on project all the required files you mentioned should get added to your adf jar.

OBIEE 11g write back to Essbase and run calc script feature

Hi,
I have a requirement to write back into Essbase Cube and run calc script from OBIEE dashboard.
From what i have search on google, we must deploy additional Java Script into weblogic, but that is before OBIEE 11.1.1.6.
I have 2 question:
- Does OBIEE 11.1.1.6 already supported native write-back to Essbase and running calcscript?
- Anyone has example of the custom java-script for write back and running calcscript?
And another, if there are requirement like this, is it better to install Essbase Add-in on Microsoft Excel and do the what-if analysis there, then just display the report on OBIEE dashboard? (based on user-friendliness and the complexity on maintenance)

Even I am trying to achieve the same thing as you have mentioned but think that it is not possible to achieve easily in obiee 11.1.1.6, though we do have a work around to perform a writeback in Essbase cube using JAPI as mentioned below.
Also we can call Hyperion reports from OBIEE using Action Links and also pass parameters to the same but dont know if it runs calculation script.

Can you run Boot Camp and Fusion at the same time?

Hi,
I had boot camp installed on my mac pro and loved it. I decided to get greedy and install Fusion using the boot camp partition. The Fusion install went ok but then Microsoft started to get fussy. Every time I would do something on Fusion it would ask me to "Re-activate Windows" when I logged into boot camp. Maybe if I saw Fusion fully working I wouldn't want to run boot camp any more but I think I want to have the option to run either. Right now I only have 1 gig real memory on my mac pro and Fusion seems a little slow compared to native boot camp. Can I run both boot camp and fusion without having to buy two native copies of Windows XP pro? I don't want a "sensible" answer, I want an answer that takes into account how Microsoft treats this re-activation situation.
I guess Leopard might make this all obsolete, but until then .....

You need to make sure to install VMware Tools into your virtual machine (while booted into Windows via Fusion). Once you do this you shouldn't have to continually activate Windows when going back and forth from Boot Camp to Fusion. I've seen this discussed over on the VMware Fusion discussion boards, so you may want to look there for more details.
Also, if Windows starts telling you it's been activated too many times, you can call Microsoft and they'll give you an alternate activation key. The phone number is listed on the Windows error screen. I had to do it and they were very accommodating. I just told them I was running Windows in a virtual machine, and there were almost no questions asked.
You don't need to buy 2 copies of Windows to run both Boot Camp and VMFusion.

Problem with a example of "Developing and Using ADF Faces Skins"

Hi, I've tried the example "Developing and Using ADF Faces Skins", but when I run the sample.jspx page and choose the skin "MyCompany" in the select skin I obtain the next message:

Hi there,
I had the same issue last friday.
It's probably because you are using JDeveloper 10.1.3.2 instead of 10.1.3.0 or 10.1.3.1 for which the example is made.
I haven't been able to fix this yet, other then by commenting out the this part of the css.

Oracle BPM Composer and no ADF

Hi Everyone,
We are planning to use Oracle BPM as our BPM engine. But our organization doesn't support ADF. So could anyone help to answer the below questions. Thanks a lot for your time.
1) Can we use Oracle BPM Composer... Does Oracle BPM composer require extended ADF Domain?
2) Default BPM workspace can't be used. So we need to build our own workspace. Are they any predefined framework to build a MVC or any other java framework to build workspace.
3)Could anyone let me know the additional things we should take care in case we don't use ADF domain.

Oracle BPM Studio (JDeveloper) is used by developers to create processes, human tasks, the process instance payloads, the composite services used by the processes, complex transformations, business rules and the ADF UIs.
Composer is a business user oriented web based tool used by business analysts with similar capabilities. Using Composer, business people can create and maintain processes, define process instance payloads, human tasks, process payloads, business rules. Instead of creating ADF UIs, you create and test web forms using a web based UI web form designer tool that it comes with in 11.1.1.7. Because the forms built using Composer can only be viewed from the Workspace or WebCenter Spaces tools, and because you're not going to use the Workspace or WebCenter Spaces tools, you won't be able to use Composer to create your UIs.
You might want to rethink your decision to not use the Workspace or WebCenter Spaces tools, but because you're not going to use either one you will instead be building your forms using the form design tool of your choice.
Although I'd advise you against recreating it, you'll need to become comfortable using the different APIs Oracle BPM exposes if you're going to try to duplicate the Workspace and WebCenter Spaces tool functionality.

Difference in printing and preview of scripted object

Hi guys,
I designed a form (printform) where I implemented a "watermark" text which is displayed dependent on SID. It's just showing on our dev- and test-systems. This text (text-field) is rotated by 60° using javascript.
This works well in preview mode but doesn't rotate while printing directly. The script itself actually is OK, because other things in the same script are processed OK and the same script works fine on my other forms.
Did anyone face similar behaviour yet or have an idea where to look for a solution?
I already tried different combinations like script on client, server or both. There is even no difference using javascript or formcalc.

I finally managed to solve this by myself.
It was just again, one these strange lifecycle designer behaviours.
I deleted the textfield from the form and activated the form.
Then I copied the textfield from another form into my form and activated again.
And guess what: It works, even tough the fields are absolutely identical incl. script
