LoadVars odd danish letters

hi i have a problem getting flash to send my loadvars to php.
not that flash dossent send and my php site dossent get the
send data, but flash is altering some of the data.
i have a string text with som special danish letters
(æøå) the UTF-8 code for (ø) = "%F8" but when
flash sends it it is translated into "%C3%B8" and this is where my
php fails to follow and comes up with som ood looking danish.
im hoping that this is easy to fix ither by me scripting or a
plugin.
please help!!

this is more of a PHP issue you have.
try the PHP functions utf8_decode() and urldecode()
ex: $result =
utf8_decode(urldecode($GLOBALS['HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA']));

Safari changes danish letters

For years I've Safari and only Safari, but at the moment I cannt'. When I google danish words as for instance Århus Kommune, Safari changes the danish letters (æ, ø and å) to (even more) strange letters (Ã¥rhus kom). Firefox doesn't. How come? Help me back to Safari, please

No, it's in your settings, but I'm not sure where.
First, back up all data if you haven't already done so. No matter what happens, you should be able to restore your system to the state it was in at the time of that backup.
Open the Library folder in your home folder as follows:
☞ If running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, hold down the option key and select Go ▹ Library from the Finder menu bar.
☞ If running an older version of Mac OS X, select Go ▹ Go to Folder… from the Finder menu bar and enter “~/Library” (without the quotes) in the text box that opens.
From the Library folder, move the entire contents of the subfolder Caches (not the folder itself) to the Trash, then log out and log back in. Empty the Trash. Test.
If the problem is not solved, open the Library folder again in the same way and move the entire contents of the subfolder Preferences (not the folder itself) to a new folder on the Desktop (not to the Trash.) Log out and log back in. The account will then be pretty much in a clean state. Test. If you can still reproduce the problem, then put the Preferences folder contents back, replacing any that were created in their place, log out, and log in again.
If you can't reproduce the problem in the clean state, then start putting things back in the Preferences folder piecemeal, starting with items that seem unrelated to the issue. I can’t be more specific. After each group of items, repeat the log out/log in cycle and test. At some point, the problem may reappear, in which case you know that something in the last batch of files you restored is at fault. If it never reappears, the problem is solved.
This may be a very time-consuming process, but it’s the best I can suggest in the circumstances.

Change some Danish letters on the keyboard

Hi- Can anyone tell me how to change two buttons next to each other?
On both buttons it says both an which is 2 Danish letters that I would like to change so when I press on the button it will type instead which is also on the button and of course the other way around?

Every notebook is delivered with country specific keyboard and country specific operating system language so this is standard procedure by all notebook manufacturers.
What you can change is keyboard input language and it is also nothing but standard procedure and defined by operating system itself.
That's all you can change.
Danish letters and keyboard buttons are not known to me but you can use symbols as defined on keyboard. As far as I know you cannot map each button and define which symbol should be shown.
Maybe some third part applications can do this. If Im remembering well long time ago on this forum one guy from Poland wanted to do the same and he wrote about something about this.
Try to search forum for this in advanced search option.

How can I bind danish letters to my shortcuts? After Effect doesn't seem to care what I put in my shortcuts txt file.

I want to use the letters "æ" and "ø" to replace the brackets that the american keyboards use for trimming and cut at trim. It seems like such a nice feature.
I've tried putting in unicode with UX00E5 format and so forth like I'm supposed to, but it just doesn't seem to work.
How should I proceed, and what can I provide you folks with to help me with this?

It would be fine if at least After Effects would honor my new bindings, but it just doesnt work.

If the letters æ ø å are used in the titleline in the blog funktion, the link will not work.
the retun message looks like this:

Even if the letter are cut away it will not work.

Danish letters () in email adress

i am trying to send a mail with the letter in the email-adress. It is groupwise that Blocks for sending the mail. Does anyone know have i fix it.

Danish characters u00E5,u00E6 in Mail Sender Adapater

Hi experts,
I have a problem with special characters. I have a txt file with ø,å,æ characters in words. It's sendt as mail attachment, that swapt with PayloadSwapBean and transformed to xml with MessageTransformBean. I get an xml with � signs instead of danish letters. I read many threads but can't finde the solutions.
I tried to change utf-8 in content type to iso-8859-1, and different options for content encoding : None, base64,qouted- printable -
NO CHANGE.
Please advice.

Letters transform into strange characters

We use an editable pdf-document for testing students for legal spelling exam. However, when using the danish letters æ, ø and å in form fields, these letters look fine when typing them, but as soon as one leaves one field to edit others the characters change to some strange ones. Have anyone a suggestion for a solution of this problem? Thank you in advance.
Version Adobe Reader version XI, version 11.0.06. Language setting is Danish

Does the same thing happen when you test the forms in Acrobat, when you design the form? Or, is it fine in Acrobat and only wrong in Reader?

Safari Odd Font Behavior

Hi, shortly before Christmas we replaced our old eMac with a new iMac running Leopard version 10.5.1 and Safari version 3.0.4. A couple of days ago, my wife installed some new software (Rosetta Stone, which is language learning software) and, since that installation, is reporting strange font behavior in Safari. Specifically, the spacing appears odd and letters appear to be overlapping where they shouldn't be.
Based on her description, I am suspecting there is a font conflict somewhere Rosetta Stone installed some fonts that are not playing nicely with Safari but, as I am still running Tiger and am 8,000 miles from home right now, I'm not in a position to tinker around in search of a solution. Any ideas/suggestions would be welcome.

I'm not familiar with Rosetta Stone, however, he two fonts that seem to adversely affect Safari are Helvetica Fractions and Times Phonetic.
Have your wife open Font Book in your Applications folder. Enter either of these names in the spotlight panel. If either appears, disable it via the Edit menu.
If the above referenced fonts applies to your situation, download a copy of Nuke Font. This will allow her to clean the Font cache.
When done, restart the computer/Safari.

Printer name with non-ASCII character

Is it possible to name a printer using ISO-8859-1 (or WINLATIN1) characters?
Our business system has logical printer names defined, sometimes using Norwegian (and Danish) letters (AE-lig, O-slash and A-ring), which we would like to map to the correct Windows UNC paths.
Mapping to a UNC path containing one of these characters works fine. But if the printer name itself contains a non-ASCI ISO character it fails.
Example using BÆR (B AE-lig R):

For others who might have the same problem. You can solve it by quoting the device name and/or printer name.

This, however, causes the printer name to be '"BÆR"' with the double quotes included in the name. Thus, the job card must contain the unfortunate tripple quotes as well: -z"""BÆR""".

Centering documents in Adobe Reader 8

I've scanned some odd size letters into Adobe Reader 8, and have been unable to find a way to make Adobe center the scanned pages onto an 8.5x11 sheet of paper. It always goes to the upper lefthand corner. This way I can't punch them to place in 3-ring binder. What to do???

I was just reading your note from the blog titled "Centering documents in Adobe Reader 8, because I am having the same problem in Reader 9. I just recently downloaded a new update from Adobe, and now I can't seem to get my pdf document to center.
I am using Nuance's PDF converter (Scansoft), and when I save my Word file as a pdf, even though the Word file is centered properly, the end result of the pdf conversion shows the pdf file aligned to the top right corner.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you ahead of time . . .

How do I use both a dtd and schema during parsing?

I have this akward problem. I have created at schema for or DOM parser to validate up against. Thats all fine. The problem arise when I want to use entities in the xml like æ å which are special html esc. sequences for danish letters.
Then I found this dtd from w3c: xhtml-lat1.ent, that does the trick of declaring these entities.
The problem is! How do I incorporate this dtd in the schema so I dont have to reference it in all my xml documents. I tried with the <!DOCTYPE ...> declaration as follows: <!DOCTYPE xs:schema PUBLIC "-//W3C//ENTITIES Latin 1 for XHTML//EN" "http://legolas.dsb.dk:4520/mille/integration/xsd/xhtml-lat1.ent">
which onfortunatly dosnt work. The parser takes the DTD instead of the schema when validating and is now not able to find any of the entities declared in the XML schema.
How to resolve this problem?

Jspf files are not interpretated when included? weblogic 8.1

Well My problem is that jspf files are not interpretated when included
          into jsp files. stuff such as netui tags are included as text and
          printed as such?
          Does this mean that jspf files are only for pure HTML?

          write here due to the charset). ae,oe,aa (???)
          When used as variable names in a jspf file and included they are
          misinterpreted. This is not the case in a jsp file.
          Its clearly a bug in BEA, but I replaced all occurrences and worked
          myself around it.

Java.sql.GeneralException caused by content ??

Hello.
I have today been writing a small program to input a 200 pages file containing all my SMS messages from my phone to a MS access database.
The problem is, that the database only accepts about 20 og the messages, when i try to add the rest, i get a java.sql.generalexception..
This is the stacktrace:

java.sql.generalexception..Probably because by trying to construct the SQL yourself, you are constructing invalid SQL due to the data.
