Location of library definitions in JDeveloper 10.1.3.x

In Tools -> Manage Libraries -> Libraries tab I've defined several libraries for use across all users of JDeveloper. I created them in the "lib" section. They show up as available each time I create a new workspace, so "lib" libraries aren't project specific. And since they aren't in the "User" section, they shouldn't be user-specific.
Unfortunately another developer cannot see any of the defined libraries. And I've searched the file system with the Unix "find" command looking for files that end in ".library" as the help files says, but there are none found.
First, am I defining these libraries correctly to be used by multiple users?
Second, should there be ".library" files and where should they be?
Thank you.

Yes, John...that is my point that the intent and the expected result was that the libraries created would be made available by JDeveloper (through Tools -> Manage Libraries -> "Libraries" tab) to all users of JDeveloper on our Solaris system. That, however, is not what it is doing. Whether we create libraries directly or "Load Dir...", the libraries that show up each time a user opens JDeveloper are not the same as those a different user opening another instance of JDeveloper sees. I would like to think that JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 was not designed to operate that way, so I'm trying to find out why it is not operating correctly and displaying the same libraries to everyone.

  • Locating a jar file into JDeveloper 11g

    Hi there,
    I'm looking for a easy way to find out which jar files are part of each predefined library on JDev. Is there an xml file inside JDev where it is defined?
    Best regards,
    George

    For programmatic access to the library definitions, the libraries are defined in the shared-library definitions in the server.xml files in the following directories.
    C:\JDeveloper\jdev\system\oracle.j2ee.10.1.3.41.57\embedded-oc4j\config
    C:\JDeveloper\jdev\extensions\oracle.adfp.seededoc4j.10.1.3\srcimage\j2ee\home\config
    C:\JDeveloper\j2ee\home\config
    The code-source path specifies the library jar fles.

  • Unable to locate the xml-definition for FieldName with FieldId

    On a site collection of SP2013 on-premise farm, I found there are many similar log occur every minute. The logs are like:

    The log level is medium. The same set of log occur every minute with same set of 60 different GUIDs. All related function on the site is working as expected. By using PowerShell to loop thru the site collections I confirmed there is no field using these
    GUID. Also I have checked the content database and configuration database, also no luck to finding these GUIDs.
    These logs should be related with the search service since the Authentication Authorization log mentioned it is the "Crawler" account in action. However I have no idea why the crawler keep looking for these GUID. I have reset the farm service multiple
    times already.
    The farm was upgraded from SP2010 and it seems no such logs before upgrade.
    Any advice? Thank you.

    Hi Mark,
    From your description, this issue ocurred after you upgraded SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013. Is it right?
    Whether you have some solutions in SharePoint 2010.
    If yes, please make sure you deploy the solution in SharePoint 2013 well after you upgraded to SharePoint 2013.

  • Unable to locate the xml-definition for FieldName with FieldId '1f8a351c-965d-4927-9c22-8772b7089f55' when trying to activate feature with references a custom field type

    I´ve a solution which contains a custom field type (found somewhere on the net, the custom field type maps a choice field to managed metadata). There is a second solution which contains site column and site content type definitions using the custom field
    type definition from field type solution.
    On my developement environment, there is no problem with this two solutions. When field type solution is deployed, i can deploy the content type solution and activate the feature and everything is fine.
    However if i give the two solutions to our adminstrator to deploy them into our staging environment, content type feature activation fails. Deploying the field type solution makes no problems. The field type is then available and i can manually creates
    columns with this new field type. However activating the content type solution fails with the error shown in the title of this message. The FieldID from the message is not part of my content type project. Searching the net doens´t show any results for that
    id. So i think it´s not some of the standard field id´s from sharepoint.
    Can anyone help?

    iCloud only give so much space for free storage, then if you exceed the limit of 5gb you have to pay for additional storage.

    I-tunes can no longer 'locate' my library , after a botched cut & paste attempt to back-up onto an external drive.Cant play any music as it "can't find" the library  Still syncing with i-Pod but playlists lost , podcasts no longer syncing.   How to restore back to original state . I have tried re-installing  - with no change

    I do the same thing as you do...
    My music is on an external drive as to not use up gigabytes of storage that need not be used for media.
    There are a couple basic principles to iTunes that I believe you should know.
    1. iTunes is not a media storage program. It does not store your media "in iTunes". It simply is an organization tool for your media already on a hard disk.
    2. As iTunes is not a storage mechanism, it has no way to "know" whether or not the media that is listed is actually there. This is where the "design" of iTunes comes into play.
    I like to think of iTunes as a bread-crumb trail. The "music" in iTunes, isn't actually there. The bread crumb is the location on the external hard drive.
    If that bread crumb trail disappears (in this case the external drive you use). If said external drive is not plugged in, that bread crumb trail is not able to be followed. iTunes is "lost" and unable to find the media. The only way to remedy this is to place the media on your local drive.
    To address your issue of the library. If you hold down shift, you can select your library on your external drive. It will be a file with an .itl extension. The folder name will be your external drive.
    I go into edit > preferences > advanced and set my library to the correct location. Make sure you check the box "Copy to iTunes Folder when importing" (or whatever it says).
    You can't fix the issue of iTunes not seeing the media if your drive is unplugged unless you physically move the content to your OS HDD...Or any other HDD you use.

  • Locate iphoto library

    It's never happened before, but when I launched Iphoto, I was asked to locate a library. One was highlighted in blue (Iphoto 2 library) so I clicked on that. When the program finally loaded, I had lost hundreds of pictures.
    My question is: where are the IPhoto folders and files located? Can I retrieve my lost photos?
    Thanks for your help.
    Ted

    The last option I know of is to start over from scratch as follows:
    Start over from scratch with new library
    Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
    1.  Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
    2. Open the library package like this.
    Click to view full size
    3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
    4. Drag the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
    This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.

    Il y a bien une erreur dans le package aur de dawn-rpg, cependant le package est orphan.
    De plus  l'erreur est upstream et le depot git n'as pas été mis à jour depuis 3 ans.
    Je crains qu'il n'y ait des regressions.

  • Solution of "no ocijdbc8 in shared library path" Windows95 Jdeveloper 3.0

    I installed Jdeveloper 3.0 and got the message "no ocijdbc8 in shared library path".
    We are using Oracle 8.0.5 so I had Oracle 8.0.5 client in my PC.
    1. I down loaded oci805jdbc.dll, oci805jdbc_g.dll and put my c:\orawin95\bin directory. The PATH contains the directory.
    2. Then I tested the dll with the following program: (provided with sombody else in this discussion forum.)
    public class Test4 {
    public static void main (String [] args)
    try
    System.loadLibrary("oci805jdbc");
    System.out.println("Successfully Loaded");
    } catch(Exception e)
    System.out.println("LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not properly set");
    e.printStackTrace();
    The output:
    Successfully Loaded
    I tried the following too (ocijdbc8.dll exists in c:\orawin95\bin directory):
    public class Test {
    public static void main (String [] args)
    try
    System.loadLibrary("ocijdbc8");
    System.out.println("Successfully Loaded");
    } catch(Exception e)
    System.out.println("LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not properly set");
    e.printStackTrace();
    The output:
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no ocijdbc8 in shared library path
    May be I need Oracle 8.1.5 client or the dll is corrupted?
    3. I modified my Jdeveloper.ini file (changed jdbc lib: 8.1.5 to 8.0.5:

  • If I move my iTunes media folder to an external hard drive, will Time Machine still back up that externally-located iTunes library?

    To be precise, I've moved my iTunes Media Library to the same external hard drive where my TM backups are stored, although there's plenty of free space on that drive for both.
    As I write that, however, it strikes me that if that external drive fails, I've lost my entire iTunes media directory AND my TM backup. So I suppose I should use a separate external HD for each, right?
    But my main question is whether or not TM will still back up that iTunes media folder even if it's no longer located on the same boot drive as my main machine, which is a Mac Mini.
    The whole reason I'm doing this is because my MM has a 250GB solid-state drive that is rapidly filling up because my iTunes library is 150+GB.

    mende1 says:
    I recommend you to store the library on another partition on the external disk and keep the first volume only for Time Machine backups.
    and you say:
    As I write that, however, it strikes me that if that external drive fails, I've lost my entire iTunes media directory AND my TM backup. So I suppose I should use a separate external HD for each, right?
    From what people report here I'd say more people lose collections through whole drives failing and not just individual volumes becoming corrupt.  A drive failing will take out all volumes on that drive.
    Whatever the scenario, you will need multiple external drives.  For convenience you could do as mende1 suggests and partition the TM drive.  Keep TM on one part and your library on the other.  This would be convenient because then you would only have one external connected to your Mac most of the time.  However, then you should do as you observe and back up the partition used for iTunes to another external drive as often as you deem necessary.  Basically you always want two copies of everything on two different drives, but they don't all have to be on the same two drives.  Your TM drive acts as the backup for your computer and the primary for iTunes.  Your computer acts as the primary for what's on TM and the second external acts as the backup for iTunes.
